To be perfectly honest, the plan I set out for myself in my last update didn't work out like I intended. While I did make progress Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, I did not end up getting the plat in either that or Injustice 2. So, this will be a rather short update from me. But, I can't complain, progress is progress. The good news is, I did get through the hardest trophies in Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory (the song battles against the AI, and getting 50 full combos on songs in Hard Mode). So, all that's left is to clear the rest of the songs on Hard Mode, and grind out the enemy kills (which work as notes in the game). I got to 50,000, which means I'm halfway to the 100,000 requirement. So, I will definitely be able to get the plat sometime this week. And, I'm bound and determined to get at least 10 online battles in Injustice 2  done a day so that I can cross that off my list, too. I need to make sure I follow through with what I originally wanted to do, lol.

 

Otherwise, I briefly played Taiko no Tatsujin (Vita Version) and got a trophy I needed from a mission mode grind. The remaining trophies I have left are skill-related, for the most part. So, I don't know at this point whether the plat will be achievable for me this year. We'll see. I also needed to complete a game that featured snacks for my entry in the Bingo Bonanza challenge. So, I started and finished Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet a short visual novel about a candy shop owner/alchemist who embarks on a quest to gather the ingredients for - and make - her family's version of "the ultimate sweet" treat, with the help of a candy golem, her friends, and her rival. A full read of the story without skipping takes less than 40 minutes. So, there's really not much to say about it. It was cute for what it was, even if the characters did come across as one-note most of the time, and the overall story a bit meh/bland.

Update 3

Week 3 turned out to be pretty good, I made some good progress with my overall percentage. Again no platinum trophies, but I'm working on that!

 

Immortals Fenyx Rising  PS5 | 69/69 | 100%

I managed to finish all the DLC's in Immortals Fenyx Rising. I liked the first two DLC's but by the end of the third one I just wanted it to be over. 

Still I'm happy with this 100%

 

Maneater PS5 | 45/45 | 100%

Being stuck on a part for the DLC for quite some time, I decided it was the right moment to try and finish the Truth Quest DLC. After I found a nice build for my shark it was a breeze. I remember having a lot of fun in this game and the DLC did not dissappoint one bit! Another game finished with 100% of the trophies.

 

Dirt Rally 2.0 PS4 | 34/72| 41%

I started this game in November of last year wanting to play a Rally racing game. Turns out this one is really good. Not really hard for the most part of the trophies, but there are some that are giving me some doubts wether I'll be able to pull them off. I'll just play this every now and then and see what I get. I did have a good streak last week with this game and earned a decent amount of the now 34 trophies. 

 

Lego 2K Drive PS5 | 36/39| 95%

This game glitched the level 30 trophy on me, which was the reason to put it down for a while. Last Wednesday the game received an update and low and behold they fixed the trophy! As soon as I got the trophy I got motivated again, but then I remembered the 3K and 6K miles driven trophies, and quit playing immediately. Only to pick it back up on Friday and absolutely destroy everything else I had left to do in the game. So now it's only the two mileage trophies which will be done while I'm sleeping. It's probably going to take 30hrs just to get the remaining 4500 miles done... 

 

Guacamelee 2 PS4 | 30/49| 50%

I was not planning on playing this anytime soon. I don't know why I installed it again because 4 years ago I put the game down after being stuck in one area for the longest time. Today (Mon, Jan 22nd) I decided to give it a go and see if I could beat the area I was at. And YES!!! I managed after about 30 minutes of trying to get past that area. This resulted in me wanting to try and get the platinum hopefully this week. I can't remember if I bought the DLC but if I didn't I will get it anyway to go for 100%

Final Fantasy Crystal Chonicles (57% -> 57%):

Got a few more artifacts, sitting at 65/79 now. I think I need to just run a bunch of dungeons to raise all of the ones I need to level 3. I think I have all the lower level ones now. Also, just need one adamantite (spelling) for my ultimate weapon, hopefully that will drop soon for me.

 

Call of Duty: Black Ops (26% -> 60%):

Finished my veteran run. Just have a few misc trophies to clean up and then it's off to zombies XD

 

Mirror's Edge (36% -> 36%):

No update here, as I didn't have a chance to play

 

Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (26% -> 27%):

Not much of an update here, I've had some bad luck with curses in here meaning I have lost a bunch of progress a couple times. Really just need to sit and finish the dungeon XD

 

 

So I started a new trophy streak game, but with my progress in BO1, my percentage didn't tank too badly. I've also started Genshin Impact on the PC, so have been playing that when BO1 gets frustrating lol. I am sure I will play it a lot in between Trials for ME as well lol.

Week 3 Update (1/15-1/21)

 

PGA Tour 2K21 (79% --> 100%)

I finally cleaned this one up and got the platinum. By the end of it I was honestly having a little bit of fun. I played the Tiger Woods PGA Tour games a bunch when I was a kid, and this felt kind of like a return to that. It was a nice change of pace from everything else I've been playing, too. I'm still not a fan of career mode being tied to an online connection, but at least now I don't have to worry about it anymore.

 

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus (38% --> 100%)

Yet another one out of the backlog. It's really not all that hard, just a little grindy at times. The only spot that gave me trouble was the final battle as Homura, but once I grinded out a few more levels it wasn't bad. This makes 4 of 6 Senran Kagura games complete for me (3 of 5 if you don't count the Neptunia crossover), and I have the other two sitting in my backlog just waiting to be played. This also gives me a PS Vita platinum for this event. Hopefully I can get a few more of those as well as a PS3 platinum or two.

 

Witch on the Holy Night (3% --> 33%)

This one has been staring at me waiting to be finished for six months now. It was originally going to be my 75th platinum before I went with Elden Ring instead. Now I have it primed to be my 100th platinum. I'm a big Type-Moon fan (mainly Fate even though I never did read the VN 😅), and I figured now was as good a time as any to finish Mahoyo with the Tsukihime remake coming west this year.

I finnally finished ghostwire tokyo that was on my account for years and finished all the dlcs of overcooked 2 but surf and turf that wasnt on the season pass.
Now only game left on my ps4/ps5 backlog is horizon zero dawn. PS3 games i'm not counting because i won't be buying another console to play old games with bad graphics and spending money on old stuff because here in brazil they're pretty expensive

God of War Ragnarok 84% - 100%: 

Finished up the Valhalla DLC, really great addition for free and glad they fleshed out the main story more while you played through.

 

Fast and Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R 0% - 100%: 

Quick completion for a different event, this game is a very basic racing game with powerups including the equivalent of a blue shell that you get hit with way to often, its fine for what it is but there are many better games out there.

 

LEGO Marvel Avengers 68% - 100%: 

Quickly cleaned up all the DLC, nothing hard just had to play through each level twice to get all the collectables and play as random pairs of characters to finish up.

 

Moving Out 25% - 100%:

This was a fun game that overstays its welcome. The first 20 levels or so are fine but the longer it goes it ends up feeling too samey even as the levels change. It didn't help that the game has no collectable tracker so I had to redo the first half of the game until the hidden console trophy finally popped.

 

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realm 72% - 81%:

Been slowly getting through the 72 variant adventures I need to complete the game, I'm somewhere in the 60 range. Thankfully I finally have enough champions to have two parties going at once so my second party can just do the 250 free plays without me having to actively work on it which will hopefully be done in the next week or so.

 

Oh Sir!... The Insult Simulator 35% - 79%:

Managed to get all the random phrases needed except for the hardest one, hopefully I can get lucky and it doesn't take another 50 hours like some people said it would. Probably going to do a couple hours each night and hope to get lucky before playing something better.

 

First Class Trouble 0% - 100%:

Hadn't planned on doing this one but a friend needed another person to help with the trophies so we powered through the game over the weekend. Boosted most of the hardest trophies and played normally for some of the easier ones, its a good game that definitely gets better the more friends you can play with.

 

Hades 9% - 10%:

Using this as a break game when I get tired of some of my longer games, unlocked the last weapon but haven't done much else for progress in the game.

 

Immortals Fenyx Rising 65% - 76%:

Slowly getting through the DLC of this game, I really liked this game for about the first 90% of getting the platinum and since then its felt more like a slog than a fun addition to what I've already played.

 

Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World 75% - 100%:

Finally came back to this game to deal with the online portion, since it lets you use your fully leveled story mode characters it mostly was just a quick run through of the first world with each character followed by a replay of the whole story as Wallace for one of the last trophies.

I enjoyed the first far more than the second. So if this overstayed its welcome, I would recommend avoiding 2!

I have a pretty good setup working for my online trophies as long as I have the game digital and it only requires 2 players. I gameshare my account with my second PS5, and I have a friend that lets me log into his account and doesn't care about completion. So I can run the game 2x with both profiles and boost anything that is simple like wins usually.

 

I appreciate the offer but I don't see you missing them, so I won't bother you for help! However, I will send you a PSN friend request, can't have too many racing friends! I'm debating waiting on the DD+ or getting the GT DD Pro while it is in stock. It's time to upgrade from my G29!

A good week! I went back to Cult of the Lamb thanks to the new DLC. Didn't get any trophies in that, but I did manage to finish up the ones from the previous DLC. Tried a little more Dysmantle but still not feeling it so I switched to Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin as my winter challenge game for the week. I also finished chapter 3 in Neptunia 1. 

 

But the big update news is that I finished Dark Souls Remastered. Woohoo! That one felt good. Thanks to soul and item duping I was able to knock it out in 1.5 playthroughs. It helped that I played the PC version to death, but I'm still happy I was able to get it done. Especially since I didn't mean to start it yet in the first place. So, that's plat #351, 3rd game of the year complete, and first From Soft game complete. Not bad!

 

Plans for this week are to hopefully finish Sakuna before Infinite Wealth gets here. And I guess I'll also start working on GTA V's single player mode since the Rockstar Editor on PS4 is getting shutdown next month. I'm still working on Verdict Day and Rocket Arena a little each day before those get shut down as well. Busy times in video game land.

update lego ninjago 12% 20.47 pcg the legend of dragoon 22% i have been playing the legend of dragoon most of the week and yesterday i started to playing lego ninjago but the most progress i did was by legend of dragoon almost at the end of  chapter 1 ninjago is a old game from my backlog started 2 years ago and left behind i gonna begin also with horizon zero dawn complete edition but first the legend of dragoon ps4 version i have also the sequel horizon forbidden west both versions ps4 and ps5  since i bought it from ps store with black friday sale this year i hope to unlock alot of platinum trophies  +having dlc also done and almost reached my first goal of the year almost at 3000 trophies now i have 2687 trophies in total good luck everyone with trophie hunting 👍👍

Spent an evening grinding out the 500 miles on Oval Circuits, while also continuing the grind to save up enough money to buy the legendary cars needed for the platinum. Slow progress but we'll get there eventually

 

Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups 25% - 100%:

Sat down on Sunday morning with my 5 year old and got the platinum on a kids games. That said the excitement he showed when we got the plat was worth it, haha

 

WWE 2K23  7% - 12%:

Slow progress while tidying up other games, spending an hour a night just working through MyFaction and the 100 wins needed in Faction Wars. Spent some time in GM mode to working towards the trophies in that part of the game.

 

WWE 2K17  16% - 47%:

The main focus of my week. Limited to just a tidy up for this game as the plat is unobtainable but made a sizeable increase in percentage. Got to turn my attention to MyCareer now which could be a grind but it will become a side project to play for each evening while working on larger prizes

 

EA Sports FC 24  5% - 24%:

Using the free 10 hour trial to tidy up as much as I can. First year I haven't bought the new "FIFA" at launch, and definitely from what I've played its not my favourite version but I'll do as much as I can in the free trial and then return when the game is added to EA Play in June, unless I see it in a sale for a bargain (must avoid those sales, haha)

 

Overall a slow first week tbh, work and family life unfortunately comes first which is limiting me to 2-3 hours a night at the moment. But hopefully can increase that over the next few weeks, especially once the NFL season is over and doesn't take over Saturday and Sunday nights

Hey yall Another Friday here. I am down today with starting Tekken 8 yesterday but It should come back up soon as it seems to be a quick plat if Powerpyx guide times is about right. It took along time though for it to download the full file, but even in the short bit i played while waiting for the full file I was still knocking out trophies. i also got back a littel ways into One Piece. I am almost back to the end of the first chapter, which is the first trophy in the game. 

 

A few games were started on my Alt Account. Choo Choo Charles (completed), Interaction Isnt Explicit (Completed), and Solar Ash (Working On).

 

Single trophy hunt, as you can see just the 50 photos were finished. I am working still on the 1Hp mode but is damn hard.

I'd like to join in this year! I've been staring at my list of unfinished games again, and looking for extra motivation to work on those rather than start new ones. Since I won't be held to playing specific games (as I'm not always great at sticking to those lists), I think this will work well for me

 

After updating my profile, I'm currently sitting at 50.67%. I'll round up and shoot for 56% by the end of the year. Hopefully it'll go really well and I'll get even higher! Personally, I'm also going to be tracking my unearned trophies number and focus on getting that down. At 6944 now, so obviously I have a lot of available downward movement Great job so far to everyone who started at the beginning of the month; lots of good progress has been made already!

You know what, I'll join this event, better late than never.

 

My current percentage is 86.80%. My goal is to get at least 90%, although I am prepping games to platinum them all in one day later this year. This means that my completion will get better once I check off that goal. I will be starting new games but there are a few gremlin I want to deal(namely LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for PS4).

 

My current total of incomplete games is 27(thought some only need one trophy to pop) and 405 unearned trophies.

Happy Saturday everyone! Here's my updates from the week:

 

Batman Arkham City (90% --> 91%):

Well its finally done. All of the dlc is complete and all thats left is one predator campaign before plat. Saving this one for plat 200 so its ready to pop just after I reach 199!

 

Judgement (PS4) (8% --> 20%):

Played a bit this morning and made it to Chapter 9. The story in this game has been really great so far and I really love the characters. Everyone has so much charm so its easy to become really invested in what they are going through. Can't wait to see how this story concludes!

 

Spider-Man 2 (98% --> 100%):

I went ahead and finished off the last trophy I needed in this game. My hype was crazy for this game and while it didn't meet all of my expectations I still really enjoyed it. The new swinging mechanics are more than I ever could've hoped for and I can't wait to go back to it once ng+ and other dlcs drop for it. I originally was planning on having this plat be trophy #9000 for me but I've decided instead on something a little more challenging...

 

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (62% --> 68%)

I knocked out all of the easy trophies so now all thats left is the hard stuff. So far I've done 13 levels to 100% (Plat relic, n sanely perfect relic, all gems in both versions of the stage) and even these have not been a walk in the park. Right now I'm stuck on the plat relic of Off Balance and its driving me crazy. I know I'll get it eventually but I always find myself choking near the end of the level no matter what. I'm dedicated to making this trophy #9000 so I'm going to stick with it until is done.

Number-wise, I didn't make a ton of progress this week. But, I did finally get the plats in Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory & Injustice 2. So, all in all, I'm happy with what I did do. I don't have a set plan for this upcoming week other than to make progress in Omega Quintet  for my entry in the Platinum Difficulty Challenge. So, we'll see how things go. I may surprise myself, and end up getting some shorter games done.

I'm particularly proud of the Injustice 2 plat. I can't really comment too much on the game, since it took me almost 6.5 years to finish, and, as a result, there are parts I don't really remember (the story being one of them). Plus, this was basically a trophy clean-up. I only needed to get 70 of the 200 online matches required for "A Real Contender" in order to achieve 100%. But, as a fighting game, I really appreciate that there's a large character roster, and that each character has a unique feel and move set (for the most part). Having customizable armor and gear sets, too, also made it fun to play, as you could adapt your favorites to your playstyle. The online servers are still pretty active on the weekends, which is great for those who either want to try the game, or go for the plat.

 

Having said that, I will openly admit that the "Cat Fight" trophy grind (which I did mostly last year) was definitely a pain, and is probably the worst trophy in the game thanks to the RNG related to it. Additionally, the game took me 140 hours to plat. So, personally, I do think the time estimate in the PowerPyx guide (which can go up to 200+ hours) is more accurate than the PSNP one, unless luck is on your side.

 

 

I've said in previous posts how much I enjoy rhythm games. And, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory was no exception. The set list is massive, featuring 150 songs from all of the Kingdom Hearts games. And, the light RPG elements that were included (having enemies as the notes, using spells, and having level ups) were nicely done. It captured the spirit of the series while fully embracing the rhythm game mechanics. The journey to the plat can get a bit grindy between having to defeat 100,000 enemies & completing all the songs on all available difficulties (they don't stack). But, if you don't restart songs when you run into trouble, the end-game grind for enemies won't be that bad.

 

The main difficulty in the game comes from getting 50 full combos on the hardest difficulty and beating 20 AI opponents in song battles in order to get to the top offline rank. During the song battles, tricks/gimmicks from the AI will mess around with your notes. For example, making them invisible, making them smaller, or having enemies hit your screen when you defeat them so that they block your view of what's coming next, etc. But, the 50 full combos can be done on 1-button mode (meaning you can use to hit all the notes/enemies), and the AI battles will seem easier as you get used to the songs (since you will be playing them multiple times and will recognize what's coming next).

 

Story-wise, this game is full of spoilers for all of the other Kingdom Hearts games, as abridged cutscenes were included recounting the major plot points of every previous entry. After you get through those, new story elements are added, making this narrative both a giant flashback AND one that furthered the overarching plot of the series. So, if you're a newcomer to Kingdom Hearts, it would be best to play this game last, in my opinion, unless what I've described above is something that won't bother you.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song (9% -> 20%)

Had a really busy week, and as such barely had any time to play this at all. I knocked out a bunch of easy trophies relating to the story/combat, but that's about it.

 

Bleach: Brave Souls (0% -> 100%)

An extremely easy (and surprisingly fun) game to 100%. Even better, this game is free on Playstation (no PS+ required or anything). I finished it in 15.5 hours, including sleep + meals. Would've loved if they added more trophies and a platinum, as I really enjoyed my time with this game.

 

I also farmed runes in Elden Ring, grinded a lot of Clicker Heroes and am so close to finishing Genshin Impact as well. There's really no point in me adding sections to explain what I did with these games every week, as it's more or less the same every week, so I'll just throw them in a whole paragraph here. All in all, I really didn't have a lot of time to earn trophies this week, so my completion percentage has been increasing at a very slow pace. I expect this to only get worse as I start school and have to prioritise my schoolwork.

Still underway with Fireteam Elite, all misc trophies done with now, just need to beat the game on its 2 hardest difficulties, and it'll be done.

First 2 campaigns have both been completed on their hardest difficulties, just the remaining 2 to go.

This month I've really leaned into the cozy game challenge I am part of to complete games I have started and introduced some new ones to my list of started games.  Starting in February I'm going to start playing more of my in progress games and try to limit introducing new games maybe once per week.

Update #1

 

Hey everyone, sorry it's taken so long to do my first update. I've missed a few starting percentages of games for this update, but I'll keep on top of it moving forward and make sure I post at least twice per month.

 

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing (33/50) 58%

This one is pretty simple and shouldn't take too much longer to complete. The rest of the trophies seem like just a bit of a grind but I can throw some music on and knock those out in a day or so I'd say. I'll get back into that later in the week.

 

Honkai: Star Rail (49/49) 100%

I really enjoyed this one. I had already completed most of it prior to 2024, but the final grind for equilibrium level 6 took quite awhile. It was great being able to play on the go while on my phone and I was able to grind this while on holidays and away from my PS5.

 

Daytona USA (12/12) 100%

Super easy 100%, but this was a real throwback to my time playing this at arcades and at home on my Sega Saturn. I'm in no rush to delete this one from my PS3 because I still had an absolute blast with it.

 

Sonic Origins (36/36) 100%

Speaking of throwbacks to my younger years, here's Sonic Origins! My first Sonic game was actually Sonic 2 on the Sega Master System, so seeing it included as part of the Plus edition was great, even if it didn't have any trophies. I never knew it was actually released on the Game Gear though. This was another easy platinum but it was definitely great reliving these classic Sonic games.

 

Dead Island 2 (52/52) 100%

Apart from the ending which left a lot to be desired, this game was great. I was watching my friend play it in December and thought I'd pick it up during the pre Christmas sales. I even got a copy for my 74 year old Dad and he's loving it too. I didn't play much of the original game, but I'm glad this one was finally released in all of its brutal glory. There's just something special about hacking bikini clad zombies apart with an electrified Katana. I actually got into the HAUS DLC way before finishing the game, but that was pretty sweet. I'll definitely be getting the rest of the DLC when it drops.

 

Maneater (34/45) 85%

I previously platinumed this soon after release but never got around to starting the DLC. Last year I did it all on PS5 and thought I'd go back to finally finishing it off on PS4. Love this game! The DLC is pretty bonkers and although I already know everything that happens, I'm pretty keen to play it again and bring back my atomic shark. It's pretty fun blasting helicopters out of the sky...as a shark!

 

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 (11/45) 16%

Honestly, not much to say about this one yet. I dusted off my Vita because I had two 7 hour train trips on the cards last week and thought I'd give this another go. This is the only Neptunia game I've played so far and while it's a pretty fun RPG, I'm still getting my head around some of the mechanics. I'll dedinitely stick with it though and give my Vita some more love.

 

Grand Theft Auto 5 (28/78) 28%

I was actually going to get back into GTA next month but then I saw they were shutting down the Rockstar Editor for PS4 and figured I'd knock out the DLC. I'm one trophy away from finishing that DLC and should have it done this week. I'm definitely going to knock out the platinum hopefully within the next month but it will depend on how stable my net is seeing as I've done virtually nothing in GTA Online. The 100% will have to wait though because I'd just be a burden to anyone I'm doing heists with.

An update as I did have a few games hidden. 
Starting Percentage, 49.87% goal percentage, 65%. I still want to hit 50 platinum trophies before the end of 2024. with at least 10 completed/100% titles.
Seeing how I (as of right now) have a lot of free time, this should be pretty doable for me.

I'll use this as an excuse to go for DBD, MK11, MKX, Injustice 2, and GTA V maybe.

Ill post my tiny January update on the last day of the month as I did start late.
