Sony asking how satisfied are you with trophies?

Got this pop up after earning a trophy today. Do you think Sony is planning some changes to trophies?

I really really REALLY would like to have the option of either deleting trophy lists that aren't at 0 %... or have the option to hide them from myself.

There's a few games in my list at 1 or 2 % and I just want them gone. I know... it's not a big thing... unless you're a little OCD like I am

What I miss most is the ability to delete trophies from my library. But that's probably never going to happen.

 

Also... how can you abandon online modes and leave unearnable trophies in single player game? ->(FF XV) They could always release an update and add an NPC that sells these trophies for 1 gil? Nier Automata has an NPC selling trophies... but who cares.

Well, option to delete trophies would only made everyone having 100% trophy list - whats the point in doing it? I would rather have some kind of possibility to deal with unontainable trophies - maybe "purchasing" them for larger amount of star points?

Deleting trophies will never happen, and here's why. All it takes is for someone to get ahold of your account information, and they can delete years of your trophy progress just as easily as taking a dump. No one would want that right?

I'm satisfied with Trophies as they are, but not satisfied with Sony in general.

I just want them to take it more seriously. No more games allowed for sale if the trophies are broken. Or offer refunds.

I would like to have the option of going through the game AGAIN with 0% trophies and getting them again, so deleting any list would be great for the future

I want the ability to be able to sort them alphabetically like the PS3. A smily system to collect data is pointless though, they don't know why someone is happy or unhappy and will just do their own thing anyway.

The ironic thing is that 95% of people don’t care about trophies, so will probably rate “average”…

 

…but all the people who do care about trophies and would be sad to see them go are also compulsive complainers, and will rate themselves “dissatisfied” due to some minor gripe or thing they’d like to have…

 

…so Sony are all but guaranteed to get a negative feedback from something this generalised and broad.

No one is gonna hack your account and pay to delete your lists.

The most Sony is looking to do with this question and its result is make tweaks to the trophy interface in the OS. 
 

No chance they’re looking to make the kind of changes people are going to ask for from this group.

They won't ask why so this seems stupid. 

I'd give around a 2 or 3 at this point.

 

- shovelware lists where they don't need even need to beat a game to get the platinum (Rata...)

- 3023423423 regional stacks (silly... Rata again...)

- Classics don't mandate them so only some have them, stupid.

- The PS+ Tip thing is useless for trophies. It's literally terrible at helping for 99% of trophies and it's a paid feature.

- The PS5 banner thing in screenshots/videos is awful. It's waaaaaaaaaaaaay too large.

- Unobtainable ones 

- Glitched ones that don't get fixed

- Progress tracking is goofy af 

 

They've taken no real measures to fix a lot of long issues with the system, and have only really added more issues or superfluous stuff like those tips that just suck. 

 

But I wouldn't vote that because the way Classics are done it makes me think they would actually remove them entirely if they could.

The one thing I'd like to see is across-the-board stat tracking for trophies like xbox has, because right now it's only in a tiny handful of PS5 games and even there it's  left up to the discretion of developers.

What would make sense to me is being able to delete a trophy list if and only if this list is 100% on a profile. Hence, we could enjoy again going for the platinum for our favorite games. Deleting a trophy list that is not complete does not make any sense.

They could do so much with trophies to make them better, but they have basically done nothing. Can't even do simple things like sort the lists, change the pop sound. Trophies became stale long ago imo, most people I use to trophy hunt with lost interest years ago.

 

The shitty PS5 trophy system shows how little Sony cares.

Let me delete trophies. There are 3, possibly 4, games that I'd like to just remove from my account. I'm never going back to these games and 2 of them have unavailable online trophies, so can't even do those even if I wanted to.

 

Possibly give us an official leaderboard. With PSN levels being a thing, I'm surprised it doesn't exist already.

 

Also, maybe, don't allow shovel ware (jumping food, ...). Those games exist solely to sell trophies. This is not against short games in general, those are fine and to each their own, but make them have some purpose other than trophies.

The person with the ability to hack your Sony account, would also have it to break the payment system. Perhaps a bad idea anyway…

 

 

They should remove trophy lists attached to shovelware games. That trash “games” do nothing but detract from the trophy system in general.

 

The levels are a nonsense since the update years ago… Reaching level 999 has no meaning at all. Years back you was at level 40 after years playing… Now that means nothing.

People who push for the ability to delete trophy lists have serious tunnel vision, that's the one thing that would absolutely ruin trophies for good. 

The same can probably be said about games with unobtainables because of server closures. Making them available offline would also piss off half the userbase. Would also ask the question, why bother with any online trophies from the start? 

 

It's hard for Sony to make any improvements now that they let the system be destroyed by ezpz rata spam trash shovelware and just a lack care for trophies from the start.

1. They can't remove those trophies from already available games without pissing off people (probably the majority of trophy hunters at this point), 

2. They can't stop developers creating shit either as the damage has already been done.

 

1 good improvement I can think of would be for them to regulate developers more when releasing games. No trophy should be glitched or unobtainable from release. Other than that, the system is what it is, quite terrible.

I support the ability to delete trophies off a list. I think people overestimate how many people would go out of their way to delete everything not 100% on their account. Most people always plan to go back to games on their account from those I've talked to.

 

More importantly, they need to delete shovelware trophy lists from PSN. They have single-handedly destroyed the system.

And you could limit the allowed deleting lists to 3 lists for every 3 months as example

That's a point, but you could handle it like this -> you get an E-Mail, which you need to verify as well + a 2-step verification - so it's safe, that this is really you + a time frame from 7 days, what it needs, that those lists are resetted to 0 and you could revoke it in this time.
