Popular Post d1l2e3v4
#66 Ride The Chariot To Donut Hell Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3-4/10 Time spent: 40-50 HRs. Average Completion Time would be 15-20. Mini-review: Spoiler GOD! This game. This game has just hit me perfectly in the feels. Yeah, it might be a weird way to start this review off, but shit, it's something that has to be thrown out there. The game's setting - The characters - The stuff everyone has been through in this game. It felt a bit too real to me. It's like the game was trying to provide a message. Anyway, let's have a quick look at the story (NO-SPOILERS): The story starts off with Mae Borowski, a 20-year-old who recently dropped out of college, for seemingly no reason at all. Returning to Possum Springs - the town she once left behind for a brighter future, with no life-goal in sight. Having no clue on what to do, the best choice she has is to reconnect with the friends she left for college - only to find out that they've changed. Jobs & Adulthood have replaced the free time they once had, and with all of them having plans to move on with life, Mae is stuck not knowing on what to do besides to make up all the time that she has lost whilst being away. But it's not just that - It seems something weird is happening in Possum Springs aswell, and its danger is nearing.... It's gameplay is rather simple: Night in The Woods is a 2D Side-Scrolling-esque game, Where you do your daily routine with you checking up on your friends, and see what's happened in Possum Springs. Normal Day-to-Day activities have been recreated to be fun little minigames - from eating Pizza to helping someone with their Job. It sounds like nothing special, but that isn't where the game shines. Where the game does shine, is the way that it handles it's characters. (MILD SPOILERS) The main focus of Night in The Woods is the focus of you being with your friends. IMO - a lot of the characters Mae hangs out with feel like real people, as your real friends in a way. The characters are flawed - in the sense that they are imperfect. A lot of video games focus on characters where the main aspect of that character is that he/she's a perfect person, living in a perfect world. This game gives itself a breath of fresh air by changing it up, showing that our recent generation might have problems growing up, and this is shown very well in-game. The 4 main characters each have/had a troubles of their own, from depression/bipolar disorder all the way to being abused by their parents. Various other themes that are shown in-game are things like: anxiety, poverty, dissociation(?) and many more. - The game does a damn fine job on trying to deliver a message to those who've had/have experience with these things (i'm currently having experience with depression and anxiety) and attempting to tell the player to seek help, if needed. (Various examples of this are shown over at the Game's Reddit page, one of them is shown here) The Setting of the game (Possum Springs) is also something what felt very much home to me. It tries to re-create a old dying American miner town that doesn't seem to develop in any way. Even though i live in Europe; many of the themes that were shown/told about the town's existence and such felt very relatable to the place that i'm living currently. It might seem a bit off-topic, but there isn't much i can talk about without absolutely blowing the game's spoilers out of the water. The OST also deserves a honorable mention - for it's ability to create a fitting soundtrack to (almost) every scene makes it beautiful to listen to, even after completing the game. Well, alright, guess that's it? This review might be a load of bullshit - But to be fair, i have no clue how to actually explain my love for this game. It is definitely my GOTY so far. If you need an actual half-decent review, then i may very well recommend this review by Super Bunnyhop. Explains it a lot better than how i did. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vgt9TOt15KE Thank you for reading my horribly explained review, and hope this might've somehow interested you in this nifty little game. Popular Post Caldor2K2
#104 - Cities: Skylines I was always a big fan of SimCity back in the day, so I bought this game on a whim. It was actually a pretty fun game, although a bit frustrating at times. I like information from my games as to why things happen, but Cities doesn't quite provide a lot of it. An example would be having a healthy city generating an income of 50k and suddenly within 10-14 game days your profits drop to -80k without any way to find out what caused it, especially if you didn't change anything. The platinum was a time consuming one, requiring maybe about 175 hours or so, but luckily you can just let a new city run without doing anything as you'll probably have everything else finished long before then. If you liked SimCity or other sandbox/building games in general, you should give this one a try. It may not be for everyone, but offers plenty of interesting options when it comes to building your city.
Popular Post Falken-N7
#8 - Legend What an effort this was for me...9 months (although I did play other games in-between), with all those side quests, and mission tasks. Some of them really drove me crazy, but all in all, it was fun. Despite the lack of a true ending and all the bad reviews this game had, it was an amazing experience for me, and would buy it (and Plat it) again. Really proud of this one
Popular Post TheActualMeg4cy
#12 - Dead By Daylight Dead By Daylight, one of the best games to have blessed multiplayer gaming (if you remove the salt, of course!) with the innovative and fresh asymmetrical teaming. BHVR has done an amazing job with recovering the game from the ashes since the near-death moment back in December 2016, in which developers went completely silent on the game. The developers are constantly adding new content (sometimes free!) to freshen up the trial, alongside the monthly challenges that aims to get the community to work together to unlock rewards and earn loads and loads of points to level up and prestige their characters. I have clocked in over 1K+ hours on Steam and probably close to 200/300 hours on the Console Version, Dead By Daylight, while heavily flawed and somewhat 'not so nice' at the higher-ranked play, is an amazing fun game to play. Trophy Hunting in this game has been made significantly easier, too. For example, 'Deep Cleansing', awarded to the players for destroying HEX totems, required players to destroy or 'cleanse' 100 of them altogether on PC whereas the Console only requires the player to do 10. If you intend on playing this game with the intention of getting the platinum/100%, be well prepared to invest plenty of time into the title if you're not experienced with Dead By Daylight. Another note in regards to hunting trophies is that unlike the PC Version, which has Steam Achievement Tracking, PlayStation does not show you any statistics for the trophies and you will either have to record the number of Totems you've cleansed or just keep cleansing them until you've gotten the trophy. There are also reports of some trophies like Medic (Heal 100 health states for other players) doesn't appear to track correctly or resets if you're disconnected by Internet Errors. Overall; I recommend checking out Dead By Daylight regardless of whether you wish to collect the platinum or not. Just be warned of the caveat above as this game may not be for you if you get easily frustrated with glitches/bugs. Enjoyment Level = 9/10 Difficulty Level = 8/10 (1 trophy will require you to use SWF and possible party communication, alongside this you will have to be extremely skillful or lucky to obtain a number of the killer/survivor trophies)

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #14 - Wolfenstein The Old Blood Difficulty Rating 5/10 Enjoyment Rating 8/10 Rare 19.33% Any red blooded gamer can tell you that Wolfenstein is the franchise to have started the first person shooter genre back in 1992. It certainly deserves more appreciation and attention from players and critics alike. Much like the game before it (The New Order) you'll find that The Old Blood looks and plays very indentically but are still two completely different animals. The Old Blood takes back to it's roots as B.J. Blazkowicz must infiltrate and escape from Castle Wolfenstein in this prequel story that leads up to New Order. There are fewer levels and they don't last as long either. It feels more like an expansion instead of it's own game. But it comes in a physical disc and doesn't require New Order to play so it's definitely a stand alone game. While Old Blood isn't nearly as story or character driven as New Order, it still has plenty to offer for fans of the series. Even if this game came out after New Order, I highly recommend to newcomers that they play Old Blood first. To make it last longer, you'll want to do an Uber difficulty playthrough while finding all the collectibles and Nightmare bonus levels. The hardest obstacle to getting this game's Platinum trophy is earning gold medals within 10 unlockable challenges. While hard to get used to, you'll find that headshots, cautious gameplay and video guides will help you in your hunt. With Wolfenstein II The New Colossus coming out soon, there has never been a better time to look into a strong and powerful franchise like this one. Popular Post Lars
#120: Far Cry Primal This game is the newest Far Cry game after 4, and it feels like a sort off spin-off. Because for me it isn't a Far Cry game. It does have a couple of features that we know from the Far Cry franchise, like the big influence of animals, the crafting and skill trees, and that there is loads of content, many side missions in the world. But there are some key parts missing for me. In the first place the game doesn't really have a main antagonist that continously haunts and taunts you during the game. You meet them maybe twice each. So you don't feel the hatred towards them that you have more with Vaas in Far Cry 3, and Pagan in Far Cry 4. What Far Cry games also have is a big and varied arsenal of weapons. Which i found that this game was really lacking in. You basically have a bow, a club and a spear. That's it really. There are also shards, some bombs and traps. But i found myself not using them that much. This means that there aren't many ways that you can tackle your objectives. The other big problem for me is the native language. Yes it is good that they tried but for me it doesn't work, i can't follow the story because of this and in the beginning it is cool, but after a while it just gets very annoying. This is the same with the animals, it is really cool that they can follow you but after a while they also get annoying. Especially when you want to go for the stealthy option because the animals will always ruin that for you. And that was my general feeling with this game. It starts out strong but after around 15 hours it all gets very repetitive and boring. Because of the lack in diversity. Even the beautiful world can't improve that feeling, because that was my major strong point. The world is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Very colourful and diverse, you also notice the difference between the north and the south. The side missions are very repetitive, most of them reward you with XP or a skill point. but also with resources but they are very unnecessary because resources are very easy to get. Just sleep and the daily stock is refilled. And there is an XP cap, which is very annoying because i reached the cap when i still required 11 skill points. So i needed to do all those boring missions which reward you with a skill point. It isn't that i hate the game, but i expect more from a Far Cry game, especially because the franchises two previous games were great. ghostly-legend
#45 Dying Light When this game was announced i got really excited. The trailer was a big hype! But at the time i didnt own a PS4 yet and checked most of the game with playthroughs on youtube. Then it got a expension/stand alone dlc which bundled with the normal version of the game. That was the version i was after, when i bought it last christmas i played the SP and was satisfied. Later i went back to some other trophies. Untill 3-4 week ago i got an itch again and started the following, which is a cool new map to play which offer a new playing field. But i platted this with the only reason to get closer the #50 as im trying to wait with TLoU Remastered to get at is #50. Still have Bozak's horde and the agility challenges left to do, will come back to those after i got plat #50 i think Only hard thing is to get the homo homini lupus est trophy. As it involves a random event that the most rare, you need to encouter that 15 times and finish it. ImplyingYouCare
#41: Knack 2 I've said plenty of times before that I heavily disliked the first Knack. I didn't have much expectation for this one and wasn't planning on getting it, but then it ended up being free on PSN so I picked it up. Surprisingly, it's actually pretty decent. It improved on just about everything that I hated in the first game and ended up being much better overall. Things like Knack being able to change size at will and actually incorporating that into quick puzzles and exploration is good. Knack actually having a block button, multiple attacks, and an upgrade tree is way better. Now the chest system actually gives you every gadget piece and gem that you need if you find every chest in your playthrough and you can actually get the ones you missed in chapter select. Platforming is actually a thing in this one too. There's more jumping in the second chapter than there is in the entire first game. The music is good too. It actually suits the mood in a nice atmospheric way. The huge negative is definitely the bugs though. There's half a dozen game breaking bugs in the game that make you start over. It's ridiculous and I can't believe it's left in the game when so many people were effected by one or more of them. I ended up getting two of them and having to restart twice. It's awful and needs to be patched for sure. I figured I would write a guide for the game though. It seems like a simple platinum that would be a good start for guide writing practice.
Popular Post Ac3NiNjA9
2 recent plats, also got to level 10! #5 Game of Thrones Lord of Ironrath Completed Season 1 of Game of Thrones. I've got to admit, the first 2 episodes or so felt a bit boring - I almost stopped playing, but I'm glad I stuck through because after that the story became a lot more interesting. I haven't seen a single episode of the TV show but after playing this I'll definitely start watching it. #6 Life Is Strange What If? Unlock all other trophies from Life Is Strange™ Third play-through, 1st on console. Despite the terrible lip-sync, I'd easily recommend this game in a heartbeat, the story is absolutely amazing. Popular Post Cave Johnson
Nurse Love Addiction Passed the qualification exam Unlocked all trophies. I had known this game was on Steam for a while, but when I heard about a possible Vita version, I decided to wait. Initially, I was going to wait for a sale since it is digital only, but... well, that didn't happen. Aside from some reviews I read on Steam a long time ago, I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew it was a yuri VN, and that's all it really took for me to buy it. It's not quite what it seems, though. I won't go into detail because of spoilers, but depending on the route, some seriously crazy shit can happen. Some of the bad endings are a good example of this. After all, this game is rated M, but it's not for the reasons you'd think... As for the trophies, they're easy (unsurprisingly) since it's a VN. However, they're pretty stupid. Why would they make picking the wrong choice for each ending a silver trophy? It should have been the opposite. You know what you get for picking the right choice? Nothing. I guess you could say that you get the good ending trophy later, but getting more trophies for screwing up is just dumb.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#261- Prototype 2 Platinum Trophy Unlock all Trophies. "Press the Alt key." "Alt? There is no Alt? I got a fucking squiggly line key, a fucking key with a triangle on it. What the fuck kind of keyboard is this, anyway?" Just a glimpse of the humor in this game. Heller reminds me of Kratos, due to how angry he is . At everything. But he's sooooo much more funny about it. I almost skipped this game, 'cause I never finished the first one on the 360(got stuck on a story mission). But I have some guys here to thank for raising my interest in this title (@PooPooBlast, @skateak, and @PSXtreme_), and my giving it a shot. And I am really glad I did. The game is really fun, and reminds me a bit of inFAMOUS 2. Although, you could say this has a bit more variety in gameplay than that title. Besides running around an openworld city and using various powers, you can pick up and use guns, or hijack a damn tank/helicopter and go on a GTA-like rampage. The powers are crazy, and there will be much carnage on the screen. So, definitely don't play this if you're squeamish, haha. You will gain 5 powers you can map to square and triangle. All capable of ripping enemies to shreds. Eventually, you can even summon some of the infected creatures to fight for you. For difficulty, this is a fairly easy one. I breezed through most of the game in a day. Cleaning up miscellaneous trophies and collectables only took a couple of hours. Hard mode speed run, a little over 4. Only the final fight was any kind of challenge, and even that wasn't too difficuIt So yeah, highly recommend this game. It is a ton of fun.
