Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#299 - Squareboy vs Bullies (Vita) A bit bland in every regard though. Environments are just boring, as are enemy designs. Also you can get stun locked, which is quite annoying to deal with. Still fairly enjoyable overall though. Popular Post Dark Layla
#138 - Shenmue 2The journey of the second game came to an end and another platinum for me to join the collection. Feels so good to play again games that have marked our childhood especially the second game in which my great memory is the final part that looks like a marathon in the forest. I remember on dreamcast i thought it was almost at the end and after 4 hours i was able to finish the game. shenmue is like that, an epic game with a lot of emotion. The second game is almost identical to the first one, the big difference is that in the second game its necessary to lose time in the beginning to raise money in order to buy certain things, this because you "start" without money. there is more missable trophies but its not complicated, with a good guide that PSNP offers isn't difficult to fail these trophies. There is also new things like the help of people who walk in the street that even take you to a certain place that didn't exist in the first game, such as giving skip to time. What i want for shenmue 3 is a mix of the two games, and this trilogy ends in the best way Finally Now I Can Sleep ?

kaluna1
#26 Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Golf games for me have always been the ultimate example of something that's more fun in practice than on paper. Of course in general a lot more things are the opposite. A lot of crazy awesome over the top sounding things can just fail to grab your attention and interest when you get down to it (a big example for me is mecha anime/games, but I digress). So I've always enjoyed how this ended up the opposite. Don't play them that often, but enjoyed Wii Sports Golf, a couple of Mario Golf games and Tiger Woods 10 before this. The gameplay is pretty damn solid. I read they rebuilt the courses from the ground up for next gen consoles, so they all play differently rather than just being palette swaps basically. This meant there were less courses at the start, but by the time I jumped it it was $10 for like 20 full 18 hole courses and everything else so I more than got my money's worth. And I appreciate the more realistic gameplay. I know for some that makes this sound even more boring, but I like my sports games to hit either extreme. As close to realistic as possible or completely arcade (Like Mario sports games). Not big on wishy washy games that sorta try and fail to be realistic, all you're left with is a pretty frustrating and bland experience. Anyways I should stop banging on about realism, as this game actually has a mode even more arcadey than Wii Sports and Mario Golf. I really liked the Night Club Challenge and its slick neon aesthetic. Kinda reminded me of Blur if anyone remembers that, it basically was to Mario Golf what Blur was to Mario Kart. 170 over the top challenges where you use a bunch of power ups to try and ace a certain task. It had angry birds 1-3 star scoring system, and to get 3 stars you generally needed to be near perfect. I think this mode put a lot of people off, I even saw some golf purists complaining on the trailer for it that it was bringing the sport into disrepute or something lol. And the trophies for it did seem rarer than you would expect. If the game required you to 3 star every challenge that would be tricky, but the platinum offered quite a bit of leeway. I got the required stars before I even finished the challenges. The gameplay takes some getting used to but due to the leeway given I'd say it's a 5/10 difficulty game at most. It's something I could see myself going back to every now and then after platinum. #27 The Sexy Brutale Quite a different game from the above to say the least, though I guess this game has a decent amount of rich white people; so maybe they play golf off screen. Picked this up on sale like most of my games, was definitely worth the price of admission. I wasn't 100% on board with some of the story elements, but it worked for what they wanted to do. And the whole "go back in time to prevent a murder without being discovered" core concept is a pretty easy sell. The gameplay aspect was very well thought out, and plays quite unlike anything else I've played. As far as the platinum goes I'll give a big props to whoever wrote the collectibles guide on this site. I often cbf with collectibles but whoever wrote that guide somehow mapped it out so you could get all 61 in one run. I dunno what advanced quantum physics they used to make that work but A+. I accidentally picked up a few during the story which can always muddle post game clean ups, especially in games like this that pull the dick move of not telling you which ones you have. But I still followed the guide which assumed you had 0 and it worked out fine. Each time I didn't see it I double checked, and if I didn't see it still I assumed it was one of the handful I got in story. You're always playing a dangerous game making assumptions like that, but thankfully it worked out. Might have actually gave up if I ended up 1 or 2 short, because there would be no real way to know. And I'm a born quitter. ? Edited September 6, 2018 by kaluna1
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#300 Nier Automata Fantastic game that was fun to play from start to finish The gameplay is top-notch The way the story is told, is great and most of the quest were fun to do. Only one thing was a minor annoyance, which was fast travel only being available halfway through the story for all 3 main playthroughs. Would have liked a few more of the schmup segments as well. Popular Post Sergen
South Park: The Fractured But Whole: Platinum #123 Difficulty: 2/10 Time Taken: 25 hours Now that I've done this, that's it for the South Park duo of platinums. Of course, I can do the PS3 version of The Stick of Truth, but I am a bit burnt out from doing the duo of platinums back to back without other games in-between. This was a great game, which was just as good as the first one, but it did have a lot less references to the older episodes of South Park compared to The Stick of Truth. I guess since the first game was the first South Park game that they really took seriously, they wanted to give as much fan service to the people who watched the show as possible. They changed the combat system in this game compared to the original, the game has a bunch of squares on the floor and you can move your characters to the opponents and attack them and the game will let you know where you'll end up after the attack. It is still a turn based game, but unlike The Stick of Truth, enemies don't have a 100% chance of hitting you during a battle. Sometimes the game gives enemies a huge advantage in battles, which can be annoying when the battles take a very long time and sometimes when I failed, I had to re-do quite a lot of fighting to get back to where I originally failed. The game on Mastermind difficulty is still not too bad and if that was Mastermind, I wonder how the entire game on "Casual" would have been. Due to trophies, I was restricted by how I could make my character look, because there's a trophy for completing the game with a black skinned character on Mastermind. Unlike the first game, there aren't any severely missable trophies, every trophy can be earned after completion of the story, except the one for using a black character for Mastermind difficulty. It was good to know throughout the game that I didn't have to look out for any collectable I couldn't go back for, so I could play the whole story without bringing a guide up, everything on the game was kind of straightforward. Milestoning my 100th platinum kind of got in the way of doing this game when it came out but since it's single player only, I knew I could play it in the future without really worrying. If they make a third South Park game, I will be getting it on release. I'm surprised the DLC didn't have trophies, since I'd sure have bought the DLC if it had them, but I think I'll just watch other people play the DLC on YouTube instead of buying it myself, since I'd only really be interested in the story of it if there is any.
Popular Post Kurorac
#47: Final Fantasy XV The World Wanderer - 30,12 % Uncommon So this plat was probably the easiest FF Plat I got. I don't know how it was before all the updates, but with the exo suit you're invincible for half an hour and with the ring and the attack I destroyed the Adamantoise with ONE Attack. Popular Post Neef-GT5
#23 - God of War Difficulty = 4/10 Enjoyment = 11/10 Oh man, what a game! What a hell of a game!!! Among my very, very best ever played - and as I made my first videogaming footsteps almost 30 years ago on NES, that is really saying something... It's quite simple, I loved it from the beginning to the end and after - and so much I decided to manage to have the plat pop in my milestones as my 2500th trophy. Even the somewhat tedious collectibles are insignificant compared to the awesome overall experience. A great story served by a deep gameplay, in a technically stunning presentation - it's all flawless from my humble point of view. Hats off, Santa Monica! Popular Post Vermilion_Joker
Platinum #29 — FINAL FANTASY XV (NA) Time to Complete: 1 year, 7 months, 1 week (1/21/2017 - 9/4/2018) Ah yes: Hold Circle to Win the Game. I started this game alongside Type-0, but went to Type-0 first since I was more familiar with it than XV. The game started off somewhat slow, and while good times were had, it soon devolved into boredom and the inability to play for very long. I'm going to be one of "those" people who didn't like this game on launch (and still somewhat don't). I got this game when it was clearly incomplete, and even with the Season Pass, this game still left me wanting more. I do find Multiplayer fun in small doses, but whew. This was definitely a chore to Platinum, especially with all of the Skills you need to level for the crew. Fishing/Survival was a nightmare for me to level (leaving the controller on + rubber band), and fishing itself was just not fun to me whatsoever, and I love fishing mini-games. I'm unfortunately not 100% done with the game, and I am really not looking forward to Gladio's episode LMAO. Popular Post SebGamer93
# 2 - Final Fantasy VII Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 30-40 Hours Final Fantasy VII is one of my favorite games of all time as it's my first full length 3D RPG back on the PS1. Aspects of the game are very dated, but over all the game is still fantastic because the characters, setting, and story are just as great as they were back then. This game has cheats that make this game laughably easy, but even without them it's not a hard game outside the weapons. The trophy list is pretty easy. Just pay attention to the missable trophies and save often. The hardest part of the platinum is making sure you don't miss any of the missable trophies. The money and level 99 trophies can be grinded with the magic pots.

Popular Post DamagingRob
#341- ICEY Hastur Earn all trophies Good game with some flaws, in my opinion. Pros: Sleek visuals, humorous narration (though this is also a bit of a con), pretty fun combat, and a great soundtrack. The True ending was also fantastic. Cons: Replaying sections whenever you go down an optional trophy path, and the narrator's voice began to annoy me after awhile.. But yeah, an enjoyable 3 hour romp.
