Popular Post ERICVOLTAGE
#144. A fun smash n' crash game. Kind of runs out of gas towards the end, but still a lot of good, speedy action. Only thing bringing this package down are the DLC packs included as most of them are either dull, boring, or repetitive. #145. Gameplay; good, story; bad. The precise moment you're out and about having a good ol' time, the narrative literally pulls you out of your fun to play the next eye-rolling chapter. Rude. Gains half a point for Cheeseburger. Wholesome. Edited September 11, 2018 by ERICVOLTAGE
Popular Post Eli_bloodthirst
#66 - Tom Clancys: Ghost Recon- Wildlands Master of the Wildlands me and my brother have been dual playing this bad boy whilst I've been monotonous grinding on DBZ fighters. Enjoyment 4/10 - It's definitely something to kick the ice whilst doing less interesting trophies but this game felt like such a slog in the last few days, me and my brother taking sessions of smashing out sections at a time. Whilst taking a while it was rewarding because things got done. Especially since he knew what he was doing as he platinumed himself difficulty 2/10 - It wasn't hard, just following the collectibles and missions from the man with previous experience. Really cut the time taken to do it considerably. My only gripe is that I didn't give myself enough freedom to do it myself but relied on him heavily to help me finish.

It was great seeing classic characters and reminiscent levels from the previous games. Insomniac really nailed it with this one, can't wait to see what they do next!

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Be Greater So here it is, the muchly hyped Spider-Man game from Insomniac. I was there when the first trailer dropped, and was interested like most others. Heck, it's one of the few game I even preordered, a practice that I had avoided for so long after one disappointment too many. SO how is it? Good! Great even!....... < _ < >_> Not PERFECT, mind you, but..... Well, let me get my kinda low point out of the way first. The story is.... eh, alright, in that it's told fairly well. Without getting spoiler heavy, let me just say that if you've ever played another open world Spidey game, think about the elements from those plots that you remember. Chances are they are here in this story too, being retold once again. Spidey's character is (to me) as stagnant as its always been. Still keeping secrets, still lying, still doing everything in his own power to make his life less convenient and still being whiny about it when it comes back to bite him in the spider-butt. It's even worse here, because his go to excuse (that he doesn't want his friends and loved ones hurt) doesn't even factor in here; the shish that goes down doesn't happen as a result of personal grievances against him, so it's just... well, aggravating to see him make up BS and then have his "woe is me" diatribe. Don't get me wrong though, I know it's not the games fault, and like I said, Insomniac did their very best at telling a story. I even did get the feels near the end, but I just wish that last finale had a more unique set-up than what we got. The great gameplay more than makes up for it though, and is probably Spidey's best to date. I many ways, it took what Spider-Man 2 did right, and expanded upon it. There is a slight bit of automation in regards to how you traverse the city, but nowhere near the single button press that was Amazing 1, and requires it's own little learning curve to really take advantage of. Combat is alright, it feels like an extension of Amazing's combat, tightened up, given more fluidity and control, and with more attack options. There is plenty to do around the city, from combat to races, to taking pictures, you know, the stuff you can normally do in a Spider-Man game. There is a nice bit of personality here in the way you can react with the citizens, though I would say it's not TOO much of a leap from past Spidey games, 2 (movie) I recall had a bit of funny back-and-forth convos between Spider-Man and the New Yorkers. I guess my only nitpick would be the Finisher moves. Out of all the ones you can do, only a few of them I would describe as... well, satisfying. Honestly, alot of them are pretty dull to look at; I compare this to Amazing, which had easily some of the most off-the-wall oh-so-sweet finishers that made building up combos worth it. This wouldn't even register as a blip on my radar if the game didn't insist that they WERE cool, and slo-mo so we take in every second of them. Alot of the times I did them on instinct, I would find myself saying "OK game, hurry it up and give me back control now". Oh, and there is a bit of voice-acting that I was disappointed with. I won't name names, but he made his debut in a Marvel fighting game, and had a wonderfully thick New-Yoika accent that was unfortunately replaced with the generic "oooooo i'm so deadly and mysterious nyyeeeeaaahhh" But yeah, definitely give this game a go if you are a Spidey fan. You won't be disappointed. Edited September 12, 2018 by RedRodriguez87

Popular Post Jelloycat
Platinum #59 : Slime Rancher Went and finished up Rush Mode for my last trophy in this game. Trophies definitely weren't too difficult for this game, just a few that took a little bit of work. This game really deserves more attention, it's such a fun and charming game. It's a lot of fun to be able to explore new areas and look for all the new slimes that you can collect. (Though of course the Tabby Slimes are the best. )
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #159: Dead Synchronicity (September 11th, 2018) Difficulty: 1/10 Excitement Rating: 5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 2 - 3 Hours One of the quickest, easiest platinums I've played in a while. Easier than Broken Age, which is another point and click that was crowdfunded. Overall, Dead Synchronicity wasn't as bad a game as I thought it would be. As an indie point and click adventure it's not terrible. It definitely follows the LucasArts formula, with it's cast of goofy, quirky characters and the "safe" path of never being able to die and reload your save like the old Sierra point and clicks were. Not much I can really say about this game. In a way I feel a bit ashamed to play and platinum this game, but after the stress I've gotten from the Prince of Persia games and Mega Man games, I needed a break. I loved the idea of the different times and Environments Also there were a lot of funny death Scenes in the game. It´s the easiest game in the trilogy in my opinion. Only Crash 2 to go and after that I´m finished with the nostalgic Feelings
Popular Post omarbanzai
Platinum #59: Danganronpa 1-2 Reload Despair's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 90 hours A compilation of both Danganronpa 1: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. This is why it took so long to plat. Nothing really complicated, if you know what you're doing. It just takes a lot of time because of the MonoMonoMachine (all presents), Danganronpa's 1 School Mode and Danganronpa 2's Island Mode and Magical Girl Miracle ★ Monomi. A significant amount of RNG is invovled. Nothing really overwhelming, but it can get boring and mind numbing at some times. That's why the enjoyment score is lower than my initial rating. The main story is great, but the side content drags it down a bit. I think I had my share of Danganronpa for 2018 and I'll wait for 2019 before going back to Danganronpa V3 ?...

Popular Post AshestoAshes28
Platinum #4: Mafia 2 Well what can I say about this game other than it's a complete masterpiece in my opinion! You play as a young Sicilian man named Vito Scaletta who emigrated to Empire Bay when he was just a boy. But, as Vito often does, he dreamed of a life that was better than his fathers, and so his journey begun. The overall story is fantastic, the characters are lovable and charming, and the game play is explosive and also makes it a joy to play! And to say that Mafia 2 is an 8 year old game and is on a last gen console, the game doesn't look or play half bad, which is always a welcome addition in my book! However, I definitely wouldn't recommend the DLC to anyone as they firstly, have nothing to do with the main story, apart from Joe's Adventures, and secondly, they can just be plain boring and unnecessarily boring and grindy, which isn't needed in a game like this. If anyone was to ask me what game I'd recommend to them, then it would be Mafia 2 every time as it's just one of those games that everyone should play at least one and also have on their gaming profiles! So do yourself a favour, and go and buy Mafia 2! Trust me, you'll thank me later .

Popular Post DarkSoleride
Grand Cordon of the Azure Wolf Platform: PS Vita Date Achieved: 06/Sept/18 05:49AM Difficulty: 2/10 (Just a lot of grinding) Fun: 7/10 This was not my first experience with the Valkyria series however it is the first Valkyria game i have completed from start to finish. This is because back in the PS3 days i bought this game but i had not played too many RPGs at that point i was mainly focused on playing shooters. This game i am not sure on one hand its really suited for a portable experience due to the action-based combat compared to the tactical RPG style of the other games. The game is not as bad as everybody makes it out to be, to be honest. The combat is repetitive if you do not force yourself to utilise all your skills that you unlock, however has a varied roster of characters with various weapons and abilities to mix it up. The game is mission based however you can beat the game without even doing any side missions which is a bit of a let down as you have to grind them out later to max out your stats and weapons. So yeah alot of grinding probably added another 10 hours or more which was not needed. Other than that highly recommend this game, it is a shame Valkyria Chronicles 4 is not coming to PS Vita as i would love to play it (constrained on time with the PS4 due to work). All i can say is REMASTER VALKYRIA CHRONICLES II FOR PS VITA & PS4!!!

I have the gold medal trophy to go and the only ones I missing are the item ones in Zelmite Mine and Ocean's Roar Cave. I am 120 hours in and the game crashes when I try to make bombs in the dungeon. So I am farming Germons to get items to kill them easier. Just can't bring myself to play for another 20 hours to get 11 medals. Hi! Thank you very much for your kind words! Anyway that game crash is known for ps4 only if i remember right. On Ps2 there weren't any crashes well for me. Avoid creating while in dungeon. Currently do you have the steal ability on weapons? Well me i didn't farm that much cause i got many stones from treasures and sometimes from stealing enemies or when they died. What i used mostly were the poison apples. I threw 1 poison apple on every organic enemy and then left at a safe spot for at least 1 minute. After their HP drop to 1, i throw them using another item..i don't remember their name..peach or that look like onion. You can also use other items..that way you save stones. Also what i did was to gather many enemies if possible then throw a final bomb on them or sometimes stones. For the undead ones and those death guys ones, i used holy waters. If you need any help, let me know by writing here or sending pm or on my psn. I will be happy to help you if i can and others too so feel free. Good day. Popular Post DamagingRob
#343 (and trophy #17,000)- Life is Strange What If? Unlock all other trophies from Life Is Strange™ It sure was a different experience playing this after the prequel. Knowing who Rachel Amber was and really liking her character, only made certain things hit that much harder. It also changed how I reacted to certain people. My opinion of some characters increased from the prequel, and lessened for others. Still an outstanding game, but I wish I could play it for the first time again. Not knowing things and experiencing those "Oh, shit!" moments again.
