Popular Post Undead Wolf
#402 - Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin A Tale of Origins and Endings Acquired all trophies. Like a lot of people I'm sure, what got me interested in this game initially was the campy dialogue and characters. Reminded me of early 2000's games and I was all for it. Having beaten the game now, there's plenty of that, but there's much more to it. For starters, the combat is awesome. Pretty much Nioh with a job system and party members that fight alongside you. It's really satisfying, especially watching those brutal finishing moves that shatter your enemies into a million pieces. ? The story was also surprisingly emotional. While people who've played the original Final Fantasy will know how it ends, I thought the leadup to that was brilliant. The ending had a lot of "holy shit this is awesome" moments, and I had a big stupid grin on my face when the credits started to roll and a Frank Sinatra song began playing. This game has SOUL. ? The trophy list is pretty straight-forward. Apart from beating all the missions, most of the other trophies are related to leveling up and unlocking new jobs. There's some grinding involved at the end, but it doesn't take too long thanks to an easily exploitable mission. There's a trophy for beating the game on Chaos difficulty, but for some reason, it unlocks after only beating one mission. Don't know if that's a glitch or the trophy description is wrong. Either way, I wouldn't consider anything difficult. You can play on whatever difficulty you want up until the post game, although anything lower than Action mode would take away from the experience imo. Big thanks to @Redgrave for joining me in KILLING CHAOS. ? #403 - Criminal Girls: Invite Only Trophy Complete Obtained all trophies. I have mixed feelings about this one, mostly stemming from how NISA completely butchered the game during the localisation process. One of the biggest draws is supposed to be the ecchi content in the Punishment/Motivation minigame, but NISA in all their wisdom decided to cover up those scenes with a ton of fog so you can barely see the girls underneath, and now the girls are mute instead of moaning like they would in the Japanese version of the game. Keep in mind this was before Sony went crazy and started policing content like this, so this was 100% NISA's decision. You have to do this minigame a lot as it unlocks new skills for the girls to use in combat, but as a result of the changes, it's just a chore. What you're left with is a rather mediocre JRPG. During combat, instead of directly controlling your party, each of your 4 party members will randomly suggest one of their attacks/skills, and you have to pick one of them each turn. I didn't really like this as there were a lot of situations where I wanted to use a specific attack/skill but couldn't. Thankfully, the healing skills do pop up when your low on health pretty consistently, so it could have been worse. I sound pretty negative so far, but I did enjoy the game for what it is. For the platinum, you have to beat the game and all the post-game dungeons (yes there are multiple), and complete all of the girls side quests and endings. There's a good bit of grinding involved just to get strong enough to beat the bosses, but you also need to grind to unlock the skills for the girls. That takes up most of the plat time. Probably took about 50 hours in total. #404 - Taimumari: Complete Edition Purrr Power! Unlock all other trophies This one is a pretty basic 2D platformer. What caught my interest was the artwork, especially of the main character who's a cat girl. ? The game is split up into levels that have various enemies to defeat and obstacles to navigate until you reach the boss fight at the end. The final level is a sort of boss gauntlet that lasts much longer than all the others. The platinum requires you to beat the game, get all the collectibles, and do some light grinding at the end to get the stars and extra lives you need. It took me about 3 hours in total to platinum it and I had a decent time with it. It was worth what I paid for it.

Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #136 Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy (PS4 version) Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Atelier Ryza was the first game in the Atelier series I played. It had some minor flaws, but it proved itself to be enjoyable regardless. Then comes the sequel. Much like last time, I'll keep this short. The sequel is a much needed improvement from the first game. The most pleasant change they made was the combat. Compared to the first game, this one's combat system was so much better and that was one of the things that made this so enjoyable for me. As for the new additions, you can now explore in a few different ways, like climbing, swimming, diving and so on. You might discover secret areas when doing this, and that's what I liked to do. Oh, and can't forget about exploring the ruins which is the major part of the game and I also enjoyed that as well. As for flaws, there's not much. Actually, they're pretty much the same as the previous game had, but to give a quick recap: switching equipment can only be done when in the Atelier. That one I actually got used to. The other one was how limited the in-game guide is. The game teaches a lot of different things, so if you want to read the same text again as when it was first taught, you're screwed with that because it's very limited once again. Just some minor complaints I have. Final words? Bottom line, the sequel was much better than I thought. I guess my only question is: will I try the other games in the series? I might try Atelier Sophie in the future, but right now, I need a break from RPGs. I'll let the bonus below do the rest. - While I still think that Klaudia is my favorite girl, I also liked Patricia (or Patty, if you prefer) just as much. This scene was easily one of my favorites. - That smile Serri makes is absolutely adorable. It reminds me of Felicia from Fire Emblem Fates, who also smiles like that. - I remember seeing someone's platinum post of this game a long ago which said that the ending was beautiful. Having now seen it myself, I agree. - The usual platinum screenshot. This was the team I used most of the time. While I did use every character, I found this team as my favorite. Next project: Before I begin working on my next platinum, I'm going to take at least 1 week off from gaming and give some time for something I love the most: anime and manga. If a huge backlog of games isn't enough, I also have a huge backlog of everything else. I'll try to get back to gaming as soon as I can, but right now, I'll relax. As for the project, originally I planned to start what I was looking forward to very much and that was Scarlet Nexus. However, that changed when YouTube recommended a certain video to me earlier this year. That, and some other meme videos based on that game which have been popping up over the past few months. The game may be several years old, but it still seems to be popular. So if you've seen the image below, you probably kmow what game it's going to be. This time, I'm confident I'll get it done. If everything goes as planned, I'll set up my PS5 (which is still in the box) and start using it. I'm also planning to do a Giveaway where I'm giving a lucky few PSN cards. I'll tell you the details when the time is right. Edited August 19, 2022 by MrGarland
Popular Post Herbset
#32 Sleeping Dogs PS3 Hong Kong LegendEarn all the Sleeping Dogs™ trophies to unlock this platinum trophy. Oh yes, my favorite game of all time, revisited on PS3. Had to play something I love after that UFC 3 nightmare. That's how the story goes, I got this game for Christmas 2012 after arguing with a salesman who tried to sell my mom Far Cry 3 instead. Back then the only FPS i played was CS GO. After replaying it over and over again my brother lost our PS3 disc somewhere (which was found in the basement years later) so I got it on PC. According to Steam I've clocked nearly 130h in this game and that's just while logged in. I still think it's the most underrated game of all time and I'd recommend it to everyone and their grandma. Play it, plat it and fall in love with this unique peace of art. RIP United Front.

Popular Post mr_enigma26
#53: Horizon: Forbidden West Expansive, beautiful, and ambitious was this game. Spent about 50 hours getting the platinum though you could get it in half the time assuming you blazed through the story missions only. Though, that be a shame considering how beautiful this game looks on the PS5. HFW was definitely a sequel I was looking forward to about HZD and it was fun. Though as much as Guerilla did expand on their formula, a few cracks were unavoidable. Swimming was a new mechanic but felt underbaked. Aloy is completely defenseless and underwater activity is sparse. Mainly it's travel to point A to point B. Catching fish for material upgrades were frustrating to say the least. Maybe next time have a fishing mechanic? Story wise I felt it was satisfactory. Didn't reach the same heights at HZD and the new characters were okay. Their character side missions reminded me of Mass Effect 2, minus any real impact to the story though. In addition the final act felt really rushed considering the revelations and additional characters. The story could have been fleshed out more with maybe an additional 3 or 4 more main missions. Despite some flaws the combat is still as fun as ever. Game looks stunning in all its different environments from mountains, deserts, to the jungle and coastlines. Another gem in Sony's lineup. Overall I give it a 8.5 out of 10. I look forward to the 3rd game. Until then I hope we get a New Game Plus and DLC.

Popular Post Redgrave
#243: Advent of the Akiba God - Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed I remember eyeing this years ago but some months ago I got it cheap for I don't remember how much on sale. I wasn't really a fan of it to be honest. I think the biggest factor for me was how awkward the combat felt. There are a variety of weapons you can use but each one has their own kind of annoyance that made combat not all that enjoyable to me. It's hard to describe but basically whenever you move the stick a certain direction and an attack button you wind up doing some kind of animation that you get stuck in that was really frustrating to deal with because out of habit from other games I would try to attack while moving the stick to get closer to an enemy. On top of that it just felt janky and there is no lock on. The only way I managed to tolerate it better was using a wooden sword weapon which didn't get me stuck in the animations as often as the other weapons and it had good reach for the regular attacks. On top of all that I couldn't really get into the story and the dialogue choices for the main character made me cringe. I hate to be so negative about the game especially since it's not like a deep story or anything but I feel like if the combat was at least better I could have tolerated it better. At the very least I can say I liked Tohko and from my understanding it's supposed to be an accurate recreation of Akihabara, so I do think there was a bit of passion put into it.

At launch this game was a disaster but, right now it´s a pretty nice and enjoyable game to be honest and even more if you like the series and open world games. The gameplay is the same of the series since 3 just some mechanical fixes and improvements, sound and music is just what to expect from the series. (Yeah this game is just more Fallout but online) The trophies honestly aren´t hard at all just time consuming and for an online game is amazing that you can do almost all stuff solo if you want. Platinum #180 Homefront: The Revolution Homefront®: The RevolutionComplete all other trophies to unlock. Dificulty: 3/10 (Personal Opinion) Enjoyment: 4/10 Would I Recommend it?: If you want to try it is just like USD 5 so it´s not a bad deal for what the base game offer, but honestly I would go for another shooter. Do not misunderstand me, the game is not horrible and actually a lot of people nowadays see it as a game who deserve more attention. It´s just that i feel this game could be so much greater in so many aspects and honestly didn´t make any kind of connection with me. This is one of the few cases where I actually went for a platinum I didn´t like just be cause I was challenged by a friend to doit. Platinum #181 Bioshock Remastered Platinum TrophyUnlocked all trophies Dificulty: 2/10 (Personal Opinon / Also I admit I used the difficulty glitch) Enjoyment: 7/10 Would I Recommend it?: YES Really awesome game, nice atmosphere and story. Popular Post slender_adrian
#85 Difficulty:4/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Grind: 1/10 Rarity: Very Rare 6.2% / Rare 17.32% Time: 63 Hours "Meow-meow, choco-chow" Lightning Returns is my least favorite game of the trilogy, and that's mainly because the time restriction mechanic, if you ran out of time back to the start kupo, I'm not a fan of this time restriction thing but I must admit, the concept was pretty good and the idea behind too. The combat mechanic was nice, in fact I like it a lot, the free roam was a nice touch and the tons of customization was great. And the story was good, this game was a great way to end this trilogy, I swear that ending was worth all time it took me to get here haha. This game was quite the experience, I never played something like LR before, it's not something I'll play casually but it was very fun. As for the platinum, there is no certain way on how to do stuff, since this game is non-linear and you have a lot of freedom for doing anything, despite that this game is intended for multiple playthroughs, and in the name of trophy hunting I decided that the easiest and safest way for me getting this platinum was doing a "100%" run on my first playthrough, this means doing every main quest, side quest, all the canvas of prayers missions, getting 100 soul seeds, defeating 2 optional bosses, killing every enemy in the game until its species is extinct and some other stuff I don't remember anymore. Doing a "100%" run was the easiest and safest route for me, since I didn't want to bother with more than one playthrough, it wasn't that hard, at the beginning I wasn't comfortable with the time mechanic but overtime I got used to it, and by day 6 I was done for the most part, I used day 7 for hunting down all of the last ones and the remaining days for everything I was missing (100 soul seeds, Ultimate Lair, Aeronite). Since everything is missable, managing time is number one priority and having a lot of save files is more than recommended. Personally this is the hardest game of the trio to get the plat, took me 63 hours to get all the trophies. The experience of playing and getting the platinum trophies for this trilogy was awesome, it sucks that this trilogy is over, I had a lot of fun with all 3 games and getting the plat for all three of them was a awesome challenge. This is going to be my last platinum trophy on the PS3 for a while, a good 2 years grinding platinums on the PS3 and what better way to end it with this amazing trilogy! i love lightning! Popular Post Quink666
Deadlight Director's Cut Platinum 3,82% Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophies: / Time: 10 Hours Great game! I played it ages ago on PC but decided to go for the platinum since the game was on PSNow. The nightmare playthrough is tricky but far from impossible. Took me 4 tries in total. Not enough tries for me to start hating Ratman in act 2 =) The survival is easy with the right strategy, getting to 13:43 minutes and 200 kills kinda goes hand in hand, you wont get one without the other. The game is pretty short and can be completed in about 2 hours your first time around, and that with collecting all the collectibles. Highly recommend this game, don't be discouraged by the low platinum% it's not that hard but still a decent challenge.
Popular Post Boomshanks
( 76) INFAMOUS SECOND SON ENJOY YOUR POWERS Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Platinum #3 of the year. I played Infamous Second Son a long time ago and did the good playthrough first, as I always do in the Infamous games. That just left the evil playthrough on Expert to get the platinum and I figured this year was as good a time as any to finish that off. Second Son is a great game. You play as Delsin this time around and he has a whole new set of powers. His power is that he can take over the powers of other conduits which is just a clever way of having you fool around with different powers throughout the entire game. As a character… Delsin is kind of shit . He’s an arrogant guy and it’s hard to like him. His brother Reggie comes off as a waay better character in my opinion. The powers and gameplay are excellent though. I love that they didn’t go for the conventional powers like electricity, ice and fire but instead went for some cool new ones like smoke, neon and video. The abilities are great and the traversal throughout the entire city especially is just top-notch. It’s so easy and fun to get around. The story and missions are good but for me it will always be the gameplay that steals the show in this title. It's just a fun time using your powers to absolutely wreck the DUP and the finishing moves are a sight to behold . The powers look ridiculously good. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, the first time I drained my powers from a neon sign. Even about 7 years later, it still looks amazing. I think the game length is just right. There is enough to do in the city to keep you entertained for about 15 hours, but the story and side missions don’t drag out their welcome. You can complete all side quests in a district in about 15 minutes, which is a nice change from the hours spent doing everything in some other games like Assassins Creed. Less is more in my opinion and I never got bored with this title. For some reason I couldn’t get the HDR settings right so the game was very dark at times but oh well. Infamous Second Son is one of those PS4 titles that I think everyone should have played at least once. For an exclusive that came out early in the PS4 lifecycle it is still great. The gameplay is incredibly fun and the trophies aren’t that difficult at all. You pretty much just have to complete every district and finish the game with a good and bad playthrough. I think it was the most achieved platinum trophy ever for a long time, so it’s high time that I got it as well . Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #50 Horizon Forbidden West All Trophies Obtained Time: 92 hours Fun: 9/10 Dificulty: 3/10 I'll be honest and I probably said this when I got my Horizon Zero Dawn platinum acouple of months ago, but I wasn't that excited for Horizon Forbidden West but at the start(ish) of this year I did a 2nd try of Zero Dawn and I absolutely loved it. Really made me excited to play Forbidden West and I am very happy to say that I am super positive about this game. It is kind of impressive to me how easy I got to the 90+ hours, because it did not feel like that. But that being said, it's nice to see the amount of stuff that there's to do in this wonderful game. As always the pro's and the cons, staring with the pro's: + The world is beautiful, be it the amazing looking locations or just watching the moon shine or the sun set, I took many screenshots. + The combat feels a lot better, the melee has a lot of combo's, the bows feel even better and the new weapons are really cool. + The music is an absolute blast, I love listening to The Flood as an example. + The old characters feel even better and the new ones really add to the story, some of the new ones I even concider some of my favourites. + The old machines feel even better and the new ones are really cool. + The human fights are pretty challenging. + Stuff like Tallnecks and Cauldrons feel like they have a lot more depth, and I am all for it. + That final boss. + The side quests in this game feel like a huge improvement over the first one. Some cons, but they did not make me love the game any less: - Some activities felt like heavy filler (like the caves) - I had with one of the Cauldrons that I got moved out of bounds after I died during a boss fight, thankfully I did not have to do much to get back to the point, but it was annoying. I could probably say more positive/negative things, but honestly, I love the Horizon games, I can't wait to see what's next. Watching Aloy grow as a character was fantastic, exploring the Forbidden West was a blast, learning more about the old characters and meeting new characters made me happy. I don't know if the next bit of content will be DLC or Horizon 3, but whatever it is, I'll be excited for it. And my platinum screenshot, probably one of my better ones:
