Popular Post acidkai_ak
# 41-45: Uncharted: 1-3 Remastered, 4, The Lost Legacy Probably the first game I had played that felt like I'm watching a great modern version of Indiana Jones movies. It was so good that I decided to platinum most of them. Amazing series and aged very well compared to today's action/adventure games. Shoutout to @new_world80 to suggest that I should platinum any Uncharted series in my backlog. And a Huge Thank You to @EumelEumel and others in his community (I'm sorry, I forgot your names) that helped me get 100% on Uncharted 4 in co-op survival stages. Eumel is very respectful, honest, and generous to help me and many others to get this low rarity 100%. He's a beast player and breeze through very tough co-ops like nothing. Thank you so much! Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#542 - Spyro 3 This one was reasonably fun, considering I didn't enjoy the second game at all to the point of not even finishing it. So yea, solid game like the first one in the series. Could've done with a bit more fine-tuning, but it's decent enough. Popular Post Golem25
Platinums #91 & 92 - No Man's Sky PS4 & PS5 Total Perspective Vortex (PS4 & PS5) - Platinum PS4 - 245,767 Owners - 17,591 Achievers for a percentage of 7.16% (average completion; 26.73%) PS5 - 7,154 Owners - 1,449 Achievers for a percentage of 20.25% (average completion; 31.05%) Enjoyment; 8/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Trophies; 5/10 (unimaginative requirements, mostly just grinding, but all names are sci-fi references) Procedural generation; 10/10 Not sure how to feel about this one; I've played games that included cross-play autopop before, but this is the first time I've actually made use of it. It is perfectly legal from a leaderboard perspective but it still feels a bit funky to me. Then again, I could have done the whole thing again legitimately but that would just be another 10 to 15 hours of grinding. Ah well, my first PS5 game and Plat, I will give it a pass. Much has been said about No Man's Sky; launching off the back of an unprecedented hype train in 2016, the wheels came off the whole thing almost immediately when players found out that many features the developers had spoken about were either truncated or just completely absent from the finished game. It wasn't an incredibly glitchy mess - just a slightly glitchy mess - but failed to meet expectations to such a degree that you could consider it a proto-Cyberpunk 2077 of sorts. What was delivered upon release was a survival/crafting game set in a procedurally generated universe consisting of billions of unexplored planets, each with their own flora, fauna, minerals, and weather conditions. When booting the game, the player wakes up on a random planet with all his gear broken and his ship missing; a wild scramble to repair you gadgets and find your ride ensues, under pressure from your ever-diminishing life support. The game does a good job of explaining the basics, and after half an hour or so you launch off the planet and set out to discover the universe, with a tantalizing secret held in the very centre, which few people reach under their own strength. From the moment you launch into space for the first time, you can plot your very own course; either just mess around, or follow the vague, cryptic plot through various storylines. Freedom is the name of the game, and the player will only ever be restricted by their own creativity and dexterity from there on out - provided they do mine for resources to refuel from time to time, as this is still very much a survival game unless you play in Creative Mode (which disables Trophies). Because of the procedural, open-ended nature of the game, you get a Trophy list that is literally just grinding from start to finish; warp 75 times, meet 80 aliens, learn 150 alien words, completely chart the fauna of ten planets, destroy 80 starships, hold 2 million credits in your wallet.... you get the point. From a Trophy Hunter perspective this is great as you can leisurely/quickly scurry your way to your goals, but on the other hand, none of the 28 base game Trophies are getting an award from creativity. Credit where it is due, though; all of their names reference science fiction media, which I personally think is a nice touch; the Trophy guide handily links you to the source of each name. Despite the horrendous misfiring at launch and the storm of criticism the developers had to endure, No Man's Sky has received countless comprehensive expansions over the past four years, from bases to exocraft to freighters and fleets to a multiplayer hub. Only one update brought DLC Trophies with it though, which is where the only modicum of challenge can be found; To Live Forever requires you to reach the centre of the universe in Permadeath Mode, where your save is deleted upon death. Nothing a USB stick or cloud upload can't solve, of course, and even then only the first five or so minutes are hard; if the game doesn't spawn you near a cave you will die, but you should be golden if one does happen to be close by. I got a hole in the ground on my first restart, and from there you just need to be careful. The fact this Trophy stands at a rarity of 1.12%(!) at the moment is mostly just down to the fact that it's a long, long way to your destination and my assumption that many of the over 200,000 owners on the leaderboards dropped the game like a hot potato in the first few days after release. In fact, a lot of these Trophies have remarkably low rarities for what they ask you to do - their counterparts on the PS5 version sit much higher (see the Plats for instance; 7ish percent on PS4 versus 20 plus on PS5), but then that will have been skewed by people like me autopopping the whole list. Anyhow, I booted the PS4 version off my PS5 as it is noticably inferior in terms of graphics to the next-gen version, but the latter I will be keeping installed; for all its faults and the constraints of being a survival game in a procedural world, No Man's Sky is an amazing, gorgeous adventure. The beautiful vistas you see in space, the wondrous planets you visit - it really is a joy and never got old throughout my 20 or so hours spent on getting the Platinum. In fact, I expect to return to this game quite often and continue my interstellar adventures. It might perhaps have been a disappointment in 2016, but in 2021 No Man's Sky is absolutely worth the money and time. If you were hesitating before , then please do give it a chance now.

Popular Post SoliDeoGloriaIHS
number 59: Enlightment platinum trophy Asura's Wrath Fun factor: 8 out of 10 Platinum difficulty: 4 to 4.5 out of 10 I looved this game! I really enjoyed it! After initially playing this game when it first launched almost nine years ago, I finally came back to it a few months ago and I am so glad I did. I have been trying to raise my completion percentage and there are a few games I have played in the past that I haven't finished (read: platinumed) that I have been meaning to go back to and this was at the top of the list. Words and phrases such as "outrageous", "over-the-top" and "an action anime game on steroids" to describe Asura's Wrath are right on the money in every way and not misplaced in the least. When I first played Asura's Wrath almost nine years ago, I enjoyed it but was put off from chasing the platinum (despite considering myself a trophy hunter.) I think at the time the idea of having to earn an S rank on every episode on both normal and hard difficulties turned me off. I think at the time I imagined it to be A LOT tougher than it actually turned out to be. As mentioned above, I would give it a 4 to 4.5 out of 10 and most guides rate it as a 4. It really isn't that bad. There were a few episodes on both normal and hard that posed a bit of a challenge to earn the S rank, but nothing too crazy. The playthrough utilizing the Mortal gauge wasn't bad at all really so long as you play through the game on easy difficulty. Overall, it wasn't too difficult to platinum. As far as gameplay, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Part action-brawler, part shooter/rail shooter and, of course, those notorious QTEs, there wasn't anything about the gameplay that turned me off. As far as the QTEs go, they're kind of a love them or hate them sort of thing with people. I actually enjoyed them. I found a certain satisfaction in nailing a QTE at just the right split second and earning an EXCELLENT rating for it. I also felt the sting of not earning that rating on many occasions which made me appreciate it even more when I did earn them. Going for the platinum and needing to earn S ranks on every chapter on both difficulties, it is imperative to nail the QTEs perfectly at least 90% of the time. I found the QTEs and trying to be perfect in executing them actually added to the gameplay in a very unique way. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves anime, anime-style games and action-brawler games. It definitely is one of the more enjoyable and memorable games that I have played and platinumed.
Popular Post Carol
#213 Control Director of the FBC Unlock all other trophies "Control" is an enjoyable and interesting game, with an intriguing storyline and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the navigation in this game isn't that good, so sometimes it's hard to figure out where you need to go or do, which can get a bit tiresome. When I love a game or series, I always do my best to complete everything in the most legit way possible. In the case of "Control", I wasn't familiar with this game and I saw several people complaining that it was hard and frustrating. Frustration, in general, is not what I look for in a game, so I decided to use the accessibility options "Control" provides. I could enjoy the game, in a way that probably wouldn't be possible if I had played it with its true difficulty. The platinum is, therefore, easy and accessible to everyone.
Popular Post TheArcadeKid
#209 - Spiral Splatter #210 - Mekorama After about a year or so of avoiding them (more or less), I've gotten back into some of the easier games out there. It's definitely a nice change of pace from the 30hr+ racers I've been playing recently. But both of these games are actually great little titles in their own right. The fact that they're both so cheap right now on the UK PSN store is just the icing on the cake. Spiral Splatter is a fast-paced, 'don't-touch-the-walls' 2D game, and I really enjoyed it. There's a good selection of levels, and the game's quick to introduce new mechanics, which put a fun twist on a really simple concept. It's a solid afternoon's worth of entertainment, and well worth the money I paid for it (£1.59, if I remember right). Mekorama is a puzzle game where you have to get this little robot guy to the exit on each stage, by clicking on the screen and dragging certain blocks. Again, really simple concept, but surprisingly rewarding. Some great brain-teasers in there, although admittedly there's a few duds as well. Biggest surprise for me is how polished the visuals are. The animations in particular are bizarrely high-quality. Would definitely recommend these to anyone who doesn't mind easy plats on their list. Although for some reason both games have relatively rare plats - about 65%. Not entirely sure why that is.

Trumpet_Boi_208
Platinum #27: Wuppo Enjoyment: 8.5/10: I absolutely loved this game. It’s a charming 2D action-adventure game set in a unique, wacky universe with a cute, hand-drawn art style. You venture through this world, (which is surprisingly dense with history), in search of a new home. Along the way, you will meet new friends and bosses, and maybe even save the world. It’s light-hearted tone overall is refreshing to see in an age of gaming that is dominated by blood-soaked shooters, filled with explosions, toxic competitive multiplayer and shooting galleries. However, that’s not to say there isn’t a good game here, because there certainly is. The bosses are unique and fun to fight, the lore is genuinely interesting, and the world truly feels alive and developed, with no signs of padding. A truly underrated gem. Difficulty: 9/10: That said, this platinum is really tough, and is dependent on skill and a good degree of luck. The collectibles weren’t too tough to collect, and Insane difficulty was manageable with the right strategy for each boss. It is the Boss Rush game mode that cranks up the difficulty substantially. The speedrun was challenging, but the time requirement is pretty generous. The real challenge came from completing it all without purchasing any items from the shops. This means that you only have one healing item and your base weapon with no upgrades. The first half of the bosses in this mode were certainly doable, as long as you properly adjust your strategy. However, the second half is truly evil, as you must rely on both your own skill and Lady Luck if you want to survive. The final boss is incredibly hard to survive if you don’t have your healing item on you, so you have to make it through 17 bosses without using it. While this sounds bad, the game does throw you a bone every now and then, with bosses that reward health in certain ways, such as completing phases or finding health pickups in the arena. However, relying on these does not guarantee success by a long shot. Overall: A great game with a very tough platinum. If you don’t care about your completion percentage, I urge you to at least try this overlooked indie game.

postofficebuddy
Platinum #154: Rayman Origins Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Another game cleared out of the backlog that I’m embarrassed to admit I should have finished years ago. A truly phenomenal platformer. The sense of humor in the Rayman games is right up my alley. When I saw the ending I laughed quite a bit. Compared to Legends, especially the Vita version, this one isn’t nearly as hard. The last few mosquito and treasure chest levels are a decent challenge though.
Popular Post Darghel
#103 True Warrior (Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires) Difficulty: Surprisingly easy but very repetitive Time to Complete: realistically should only take 30-40 hours. Me, it took 10 years! Recommended: Yes Total Score: 6/10 (as of now) I remember playing this back in 2011, as the 6th game was pretty much a disappointment for the large amount of clone characters, some characters removed too (Like Zuo Ci, which I loved in 5) and overall it felt underwhelming. But thankfully DW6E helped a bit by improving some things, gave some weapons back (Like Zhang He's claws - seriously how can you remove his claws!?) and overall making a much better game than DW5E (which I played on the xbox360 back then). It was definitely a much better game than OG 6, even if it's still not as heavy in content. Still, this was the first time the game introduced the "Vagrant-Officer-Ruler" system, which essentially made the game a lot more varied and surprisingly replayable depending on how you approached, and it's been used ever since. Essentially speaking, Vagrant means you're a, well, a vagrant officer who needs to find a lord to serve, and you can serve anyone until you're sure. Officer, however, would have you play under your lord and get promoted so you could get a more prominent presence and eventually allow yourself to give advices to your lord, potentially giving them the idea to invade. And as a ruler, you'd just do everything yourself...and this is the problem: as an officer, you can't decide anything, only do submission, until your lord decides to attack, in which case you can finally do something, and yes there were times you would do nothing for (ingame) months until your ruler decided to attack. However, as an officer, you'd get your stuff upgraded for free if im right. As a ruler it's more straightforward: you can do anything, and you have the final say in everything, however, upgrading stuff is done manually, and having to upgrade 20 lords weapons isn't easy! Still, it was a new thing for its time, and I like how they kept it in future games and even improved upon it. The trophies are essentially "beat the game several times and unlock every unlockable", which aren't hard but take a while: in particular beating the game 5 times was annoying because each scenario is essentially identical, even if the loadout is different: you don't do much of different than before and it was pretty boring at one point. And of course I had to go ruler so i wouldn't take ages to complete the game. Unlocking the gallery took a while, but back then I already unlocked most of it so I only had to unlock the screensavers. By the third playthrough I was already done, since I used to play a lot of random scenario. Honestly, it's not a bad game...for 2011, but now that we have 7 and 8 empires, it's hard to recommend it. There's is much better now, but if you happen to get a copy you can get yourself an easy platinum. OG 6 has no trophies anyway!
