Popular Post Cellcrash1991
#54: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) Tier 1 Unlock all Trophies The Modern Warfare-reboot. Decent campaign, but not as good as it's predecessors. Trophywise a very fast and easy platinum to get. I was actually kinda disappointed there was no intel or whatsoever. But I'm glad the only spec-ops-trophy is a DLC trophy. ?

Popular Post Ghost
Created by RetroSoft Studios, RetroMania Wrestling is inspired by retro wrestling arcade games like WWF WrestleFest. This brought back memories of going to the Arcade and playing WrestleFest and dropping quarters trying to beat the Legion of Doom. I'm not familiar with all the wrestlers but it's cool that each one has their own move-set and the animations are nice. Regarding the trophy list, this was easy and short. You can lower the difficulty, and other gameplay options as follows: second wind (affecting the chance of the A.I getting a boost after being pinned), starting momentum, and match length. That's all I will add cause I'm not great at reviewing. I pretty much agree with this video review: Spoiler Edited May 1, 2021 by Ghost
Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #107 Spirit of the North The first thing that caught my attention about Spirit of the North was the protagonist. In this game we control a fox, and it immediately reminded me of a certain classic where we also control an animal: Okami. The second thing was that contrary to the mentioned game, this one was more puzzle oriented, something that I miss on recent games. Will Spirit of the North be remembered as a classic on the future? Let's start with the story. To be honest I find it very hard to talk about it. There is not a single line of dialogue or text in the entire game. All we have telling us what is happening are the very brief cutscenes, and some murals scattered across the world. I drew a conclusion based on the ending, but it would be an spoiler if I said anything. Personally I did not like this extremely abstract way of telling us what is happening. A few lines, even if on the form of collectables would not hurt the storytelling. The gameplay is a mix of walking simulator and puzzle solving. You will most of the time traverse the landscapes and ruins, and will ocasionally have to solve a puzzle in order to advance. Most of them revolve around enchanting a monolith with the guardian power to activete some mechanism. It is like activating switches in a castle in a classic adventure game so you can continue, but in a more artistical way. The game does not employ very complex mechanics, so solving the puzzle is often too easy. The hardest part is guessing where you should go next, because the game never tells you. But even then this is usually not a problem. You also do not have access to any form of map. This made chapter 7 a somewhat unpleasant experience. Another thing that I did not like are the controls, that felt a bit unresponsive at times. Now here comes the two strongest parts of the game: the visuals and the music. Graphically the game is gorgeous. There are a variety of landscapes, all of them very beautifully presented. Oddly the ugliest thing of the game is the fox, that has a funny face and strange fur. All the time during the gameplay there is a piano music playing. I dont think there are many tracks, but all of them are very pleasant to listen. Those two are what carried the experience for me. The platinum is very easy. More tham half ot the trophies you will get from just playing the game. The others are collectibles. There are 3. First the shamans. You have to find a staff, and then bring it to a robbed skeleton, and then drop the staff close to the body, releasing the spirit of the shaman. There are 28 of them. A few are very well hidden, but most are easy to find if you have the habit of searching for secrets. I was able to find 21 alone. The others are murals to enchant with the power of the Spirit fo the North. Those are even easier, found all of them alone. The third are spirits that you need to interact, all of them exclusive on chapter 7. Unless you want to waste a good deal of time exploring because of the lack of a map, you should do yourself a favor and follow a video guide. Obivously the same apply to the other two if you are having a hard time. In the end I do not think Spirit of the North has what it takes to become a classic. The story is not compelling or interesting enough. The gameplay is too easy, simple and bland to be memorable. Although the graphics are a strong point, there are better looking games out there. And the music, even if enjoyable, lacks something more. This may sound harsh, but even so I did enjoy my short time with Spirit of the North. If you want a slow-paced game with beautiful Iceland based landscapes, good piano music with some puzzles and a fur companion throw in the mix, you will like the game. And if you want further motives, it is a very short and easy platinum that will bring a treasure hunt element to the game.

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #90 - VA-11 Hall-A (Vita Version) Jill of all trades - Unlock all trophies 3,714 Owners - 1,027 Achievers for a percentage of 27.56% (average completion; 42.45%) Enjoyment; 4/10 Difficulty; 3/10 Trophies; 7/10 (love the Plat name, screenshotted tiles, actual challenge in a VN) Hatred for Nico Nico-style comments; 10/10 I didn't want to pen this post right after I unlocked the Plat on the morning of the 29th as I was quite frustrated with the game and wanted to properly re-read it one more time. Had some time to arrange my thoughts, so here we are. VA-11 Hall-A, which is the worst game title to type out since √Letter, brands itself as 'cyberpunk bartending action' set in a dystopian city in the far-flung future, where humanoid robots, catpeople, and all manner of cyberpunk tropes run rampant through the streets. You play as 'Jill', a bartender who according to herself 'mixes drinks and saves lives' and spends her shifts serving and chatting to whichever eccentric character has slithered its way into the bar that day. This is a visual novel first and foremost so most of the time you are 'playing' by tapping X whenever you've read a line of dialogue, but VA-11 Hall-A (I'm using Ctrl+V, bite me) offers a novel twist in that you get to mix the drinks your customers either outright request or subtly hint at, rather than pick dialogue options as you would in most any other VN. Five different ingredients, two ways of preparing (mixing and blending), and two extra factors (ice and aging) are on offer, which you are to combine into one of about 25 different cocktails; serving the right one at the right time can unlock some interesting dialogue and more than a few secrets. I've got one piece of praise for the game that comes without a single 'but'; the aesthetics are on point. You get that retro game look and feel with beautiful character art and a handful of great backgrounds, and both combine to really sell the mood of the game to you. It's just gorgeous to look at, and you can even enable an extra filter to really nail the retro-future vibe. Full marks, can't say anything else - perfection. Up until the last hour of my Plat run, I was also incredibly happy with the Vita port of this game; no intrusive touchscreen controls but clever and intuitive use of the left joystick and buttons to navigate your way through the recipebook and the actual mixing of the drink. And then, with the finish line in sight, the game stumbled and didn't recover; one of the characters is themed around streaming and has this horrible gimmick where she will spam comments across the screen à la the way in which Nico Nico Douga handles viewer comments (this gimmick is even tied to the wonderfully named (´・ω・`) ). This wasn't a problem for most of my time with the game, but suddenly and without warning the comments would sink my FPS to 0.1 (at best!). Even after restarting the Vita the issue didn't take long to crop up again, and it completely destroyed my satisfaction and patience with the game. How the *Hell* do you manage to make a Visual Novel suffer performance issues? You might have noticed that I scribbled down a 3/10 difficulty rating rather than the usual 1/10 for Visual Novels and that's solely down to a bullet hell-styled minigame that is included as a purchasable in-universe video game and has a Bronze and a Gold tied to it. You need to survive barrages of enemies for 2 minutes and 45 seconds before facing a boss, and you only have three lives to do it with. This was surprisingly tough although I eventually managed to bruteforce it thanks to my experience in dealing with the much harsher shit the Yakuza series has routinely thrown at me in terms of minigames. The trick here for me was to focus purely on vertical movement, which helped me beat the game in just a few tries once I'd picked up on it. No surprise that I spend most of this post talking about the minigame and the game's technical performance, as it's always tough to say much about the story; that's the main thing of Visual Novels, and besides the general setting I really mustn't spoil anything. However, I have to say that you can really tell that this game's dialogue was typed out by Western hands; it is vulgar and rather heavy-handed, very much unlike anything I've seen from Japanese VN's on PC and Playstation. Profanity and general distastefulness tie in with the cyberpunk setting, of course, but in this case I thought it really rather disappointing to the point where the dialogue just massively detracted from the game. A real shame, as I had been interested in VA-11 Hall-A since it launched in 2016 yet never gotten around to it until now. Some of the Trophies have really fun and clever requirements as well - easily missed if you aren't paying attention - but when your writing is below par in this genre, you just can't recover. Even with a wonderful Plat that doubles as a pun with its use of the protagonist's name. My recommendation? Play √Letter instead, which doesn't have the admittedly entertaining mixing gimmick but is five times the narrative that VA-11 Hall-A is while backing its story and characters up with art that is just as enjoyable (albeit in a different way); Root Film also looks interesting. Steins;Gate, Zero Escape, and Danganronpa games are other more enjoyable reads. If you still want to give VA-11 Hall-A a try - and I don't blame you, because on paper it sounds really good - then at least play it on PS4, because I wouldn't wish my experience with the Vita version on anyone else. Guest
Cyberpunk 2077 Enjoyment: 9/10 (10/10 without the glitches) Difficulty: 3/10 The most hyped game of the year has one of the most notorious launches ever, and that's such a shame because it's a banger. Pros: All of these assume you're on the latest patch -Absolutely stunning and beautiful city/world. It genuinely feels alive. -Main story is unique and well-told. I liked how, unlike how RPGs where the main story is some version of 'save the world', this story was all about saving yourself. It reflects the city's personality perfectly. -Side stories/gigs are top notch. They're both interesting and fun to get through. -The gunplay is also fantastic. Every gun feels right, and the unique futuristic twists on certain guns is fun as well. I can't speak too much on the stealth portion of gameplay because I rarely did it. -The characters are wonderfully varied; even the ones where you only see them in calls. They have their own personality and likenesses. -You can give yourself a massive penis that serves no purpose. Cons: -Yes, obviously, the glitches. I won't really elaborate because we all know by now. Frequent flyer glitched for me and couldn't get the plat for weeks, along with one of the cyberpsycho missions being glitched out and I couldn't finish it. Had to go back to a previous save file where I was 20+ levels lower just to redo 10 or so of the psychos just for the trophy. While those two were relatively major, and the game crashed a bunch, most of the minor stuff was forgivable. -Driving feels slightly off to me, at least in a car, as it feels very slippery. I had to use a bike for a majority of the game. -Honestly, not much else. If it weren't for the glitches, I enjoyed mostly everything else about the game. TL;DR: The to-be swan song of the generation glitches its way onto consoles and, despite the quality of everything else, it's a shame the stigma of that will stay with the game and company longer than anything else. Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #81 - Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Difficulty Rating 3/10 Enjoyment Rating 6/10 Uncommon - 41.19% I don’t think I found myself enjoying this one as much as I thought I would. This is merely a retelling of the anime from the fight with Raditz all the way up to the fight with Kid Buu, at least as far as the base game is concerned. A perfect adaptation? I wouldn’t say that. More like a tamer and heavily censored alternate cut of the anime with unnecessary RPG elements thrown into the mix. I believe a lot of the gameplay itself is recycled from Xenoverse. Not sure if that’s completely true, but it was something I was once told. Granted, this game does not follow the mandatory online experience that is Xenoverse. Kakarot is an offline single player game at its core, and that there helps me to appreciate a little bit more. But at the end of the day, it left me with a stronger desire to rewatch the anime rather than continuing to play this game. Its not a difficult game by any stretch, just monotonous and more or less the same thing over and over again. Worst anime game ever? No way, far from it... but I think everyone knows at this point that DBZ games are a dime a dozen and can very hit or miss. I’d say this one is somewhere in the middle, leaning more towards “hit.” For a game titled Kakarot, I felt as if it forced me to play more as Gohan than it did Goku The controls and fighting don’t change all too much between characters other than certain special moves. The unfortunate part is that this game doesn’t allow you to become too strong whilst going through the main story. So every fight felt like a mindless mashing at the buttons against waves of enemies and bosses that have several overlapping health bars. Random encounters are also a nuisance. They give little to zero EXP points and are pretty hard to avoid when you’re just trying to get to your destination. Whenever you pass by an enemy, the character your controlling says the SAME DAMN THING each and every time. The amount of times I heard Gohan say “I think I can handle this” in his new and rather grating English dub voice makes me want to knock my brains out. After a while, the game became a chore to play and felt as if I was suffering by the time I reached Planet Namek in the story. On a positive note, the game very much looks and feels like DBZ. Characters and environments look exactly as you’d expect them to. I only wish that the world itself was fully open and not open ended with loading zones. It made it confusing which direction to take sometimes. Platinum journey is super easy. I’m actually surprised they didn’t ask more of the player considering how much can be done in the game’s world. There are no missables and anything can be done after beating the main story. Now I didn’t just rush to the end to get my platinum faster. I stuck with this one and tried to take in as much as I could before moving on. In other words, I completed all 85 sub-stories the game had to offer. That is something even the trophy list doesn’t ask of you, so I definitely gave this game more of a chance than most people ever would. After about 60 hours of total play time, I came to the conclusion this game could of really been so much more if it had been more uniquely crafted to be an actual action RPG with its own formula and style... but instead they recycled bits and pieces from a fighting game and added in RPG elements to make the product that is DBZ: Kakarot. As a big fan of the anime, it had very little to offer me and I don’t think it will impress even some of the biggest die hard fans. It’ll leave you wanting to rewatch the anime instead, can’t recommend unless you find it for $15 or less ?
Popular Post Allexzia
#14 - Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroine's Infinite Duel Infinite Blasterz You earned all other trophies. Rare 14.68% Difficulty 3/10 Enjoyment 7/10 Very fun 2D fighting game with some characters I kinda didn't know about. It was a pretty good game, and so far my fastest platinum. I expected an enjoyable, but overall mediocre experience, and I got a little bit more. The fighting system was surprisingly fun and the trophies weren't too difficult I thought it was enjoyable the whole way through. #15 - Marvel vs Capcom 3 Master of Fate Obtain all Trophies. Ultra Rare 1.91% Difficulty 6/10 Enjoyment 8/10 This is your typical fighting game and only difference is that you fight in team of 3. Majority of the trophies are very simple to get, but what gets most people locked out of this plat are missions/combo challenges. There are 320 challenges in total. Challenges from 1-5 for each character are easily doable, but after that it gets really hard. But everything goes down to trail and error. Chun-Li has the most difficult and annoying challenges. All in all, its a cool game, since it has nice selection of fighters (Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Ryu, Dante, Deadpool etc). #16 - Lone Survivor True Survivor Collect all Lone Survivor: Director's Cut trophies Ultra Rare 4.69% Difficulty 4/10 Enjoyment 7/10 This was a rather short game, but it was worth the experience. It had the right amount of suspense and horror. The 16-bit style graphics were nice, although I didn’t like the grainy lines that were on the screen. Lone Survivor is definitely a game that takes getting used to, as the map layout is confusing at times. Even tho its an UR platinum, i didn't find anything hard about it. Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #318 Drakengard 3 (PS3) The Final Song I can hear the sound. Ever had that agonising feeling when delving into your backlog where you just think "Oh, why didn't I start this sooner" well that is sort of where I'm at right now. I wish I had started this sooner, I've known pretty much from when it was released that I was going to like it. I remember playing Drakengard on PS2 when I was about 14 or 15 and being blown away by some of the issues and themes in that game. I think my 14 year old brain was surprised a video game was allowed to tackle some of the dark subject matter bubbling above and under the surface in the original Drakengard, so I've always been a big fan of Yoko Taro as a storyteller he has an incredibly deep grasp on multiple perspectives I think, which is always important when trying to tell a complete story. I think the less said about Drakengard 2 the better haha. Nier however, was my personal favourite game of the PS3/360/Wii generation, I'm not saying it was the best, its just the one I have the most fondness for and I don't really see that changing, I still have the Nier OST on my iPod (Yes I still have a working iPod lol) and it still gets played fairly often, so why I never got around to playing Drakengard 3 until 2021 is anybodies guess. Drakengard 3 is connected to both Drakengard 1 and Nier, if anybody was unaware its a prequel/ interquel to the Drakengard/ Nier series. I'm fairly sure its supposed to be a very dark comedy as well. I don't feel like i misinterpreted it but you never know haha. This game is far from perfect though, it is unfortunately marred by a lot of technical issues that I can't really ignore if I'm going to be able to talk about this in an objective fashion. There is a part of me that actually thinks this game was originally developed for the VITA, it has very short succinct levels that feel quite enclosed at times which you would think would be good for a smaller screen so theoretically it would be almost perfect for a handheld format. Funnily enough I seem to be saying that about a lot of games I've played recently. The problem with that though, is that it barely manages to run stably on a PS3, which is a shame because this game really and I mean REALLLY suffers from slowdown and framerate issues very often the DLC runs a lot better though to be fair. The technical issues do sort of just become something that you end up suffering through because the game is VERY VERY good in almost all other departments. It seems unlikely but I think a PS4/PS5 remaster of this would do wonders for it; because if it was just a little more playable for people with a little less tolerance (that isn't a dig, its just the issues test your patience a bit) it would probably be so much better received. I think the shorter formatted levels though are a deliberate callback to the original Drakengard, which was structured that way, instead of a sprawling empty open world that you might find in a more modern title. It does feel very true to both Drakemgard and Nier which is always something you want from a game that is part of a wider mythos, you do want it to feel like part of it. Drakengard's connection to Nier I would probably liken to Judgment/Judge Eyes connection to the Yakuza universe, the link is fairly tenuous but they still both feel part of a shared universe, so that is something Drakengard 3 achieved really well I think. There isn't a whole lot to say about the combat, its pretty much your bread and butter hack and slash type thing, a little unsophisticated and unfair at times but still very good I barely ever mention the games plot when I'm writing these sorts of things and I don't think that is going to change here, because I always assume people wouldn't want to be spoiled on something, even an older title like this. The plot absolutely deserves peoples eyes and ears on it too. I might mention the odd character here and there though. The English voice cast in this is very memorable and well performed I pretty much like Cam Clarke in any voice role he does but you can absolutely tell he is having an absolute blast playing Decadus in Drakengard 3 he arguably gets a good chunk of the games funniest lines too. He's a bit of a kinky so and so haha. Tara Platt shows an incredible amount of versatility as the main character Zero, a character that is at times hard to like but as the story unfolds you begin to understand her motivation more and more. Zero is a very easy character to get wrong, but much harder to do right and I think the interplay between her and Mikhail the Dragon is incredibly cleverly handled once you understand the whole story. Drakengard 3's art style is very distinctive too, its almost a melding of Nier's aesthetic and the original Drakengard, I mean some of the level design is a little samey and some of the textures aren't the best, but all of the important characters REALLY stand out such as the six sisters and your companions. Just like Nier, Drakengard 3 boasts an incredible soundtrack. Emi Evans provides some more of her incredibly haunting melodic vocals in this game, there is just something very otherworldly and ethereal about her voice so it is absolutely perfect in a place like this, similarly to how her voice is used in My Brother Rabbit strangely. Wow I never thought I'd reference an Artifex Mundi game when talking about something like this but there you go. As far as the trophies in Drakengard 3 go, they are all fairly straight forward apart from a few. It ends up being one of those games where you unlock about 75% of the base game trophies before you hit the wall so to speak. But there are at least three reasons why a lot of people probably wouldn't platinum this game or might end up giving up on it and that is Branch D the infamous Rhythm Game finale, Accord's requests and upgrading all Weapons to max level. That Rhythm Game caused quite a lot of controversy I believe. Although, I do have my own almost funny story about Branch D. Part of me wondered whether it was deliberate but one of Decadus' kinks is being denied pleasure and that Branch D boss almost denied me the satisfaction of a platinum trophy, so I thought that was a nice bit of funny irony there. I know its a call back to Drakengard 1's final ending but it didn't stop it getting a little infuriating. Once you nail that Rhythm Game though it is so exhilarating, my heart was pounding a lot, it ended up taking me about three hours, because I messed up so much near the end and its an eight minute song/fight. If I was going to give anyone advice though on the platinum, I'd recommend picking up the DLC because it will pretty much cut the time you have to farm gold down by half, I think its estimated to take about six hours, but after getting every DLC chest I ended up needing to farm for about just shy of two hours, plus the DLC is very good so there is that added bonus. I do recommend this, but its sort of one of those games where you have to know that you'd like it going into it, so might be one to research a bit , I think if you went in blind having no prior experience of how odd some of Yoko Taro's games can be you might feel a little bit put off. I would say it is quite a rich and fulfilling experience though, so apart from how infuriating the final boss was I pretty much enjoyed all my time with it for what its worth and the platinum ABSOLUTELY felt earned. This genuinely isn't a shameless plug, but if anybody wanted to read my thoughts on the DLC you can find them in my Checklist thread. Just in case perhaps people might be wondering whether or not its worth the hefty price tag, it was £25 for me, might be higher elsewhere. I didn't really want to put them on this post because its already fairly long as it is. Edited May 1, 2021 by rjkclarke
Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #32 Assassin's Creed Origins Earn Them All!Earn every trophy. Fun: 9/10 Dificulty: 3/10 I bought this game in 2017 when it came out together with Super Mario Odyssey, at that time I started Odyssey straight away but kinda forgot that I had the game overtime. So when I needed to think of a game to play like 2-3 weeks ago, I was choosing between World of Final Fantasy & Assassin's Creed Origins, after a while I decided on Origins and I am so glad that I did, because this game is great. Bayek is an interesting character, the story is fun, exploring Egypt was a lot of fun and the combat system is really good. I like this game so much that I bought Assassin's Creed Odyssey & Valhalla a couple of days ago to play later this year. I don't want to play them all in a row. The only problem I had was that I missed a location, so it was a bit of a search in the end, but that's a problem of me not looking good enough, not of the game. I will also buy the season pass in the near future because I haven't had enough of this game. Here is the platinum screenshot, and you can see which location I've missed ?
Popular Post madbuk
#417 - Persona 4: Dancing All Night Here is a game I had never expected to be able to play. The UI on this game is atrocious, and the fact that my vision on my left side is limited, it made playing the demo of Persona 3 Dancing practically impossible because I simply wouldn't see any notes on the left side and thus couldn't press them. Some advice I got recently made me go back to that demo, and made the game far more playable - the notes aren't random, they work in a clockwise/anti-clockwise fashion, so that lets me know when to swap my attention to the other side. Unfortunately, this rule isn't always the case - the one song I tried to play on All Night difficulty was all over the place, and some of the songs on hard had double hold notes that I just had no idea I was supposed to press, but for the most part it's correct and the plat never makes you play All Night, so I didn't have to worry about that. I might try practicing it in the future for fun, like how I regularly return to Miku despite having 100%, but I don't expect to ever clear a song on the highest difficulty. Initially I was cautiously excited for this game for the story mode - I had heard bad things, but I still liked the idea of there being a story connecting the rhythm gameplay, but now that I've played it... nah. Now I'm excited for Persona 5 which doesn't have that at all - it's so poorly paced (takes at least an hour to get to the first song), very predictable, and just not engaging at all. Some of the voice actors also changed from Golden and this game has taught me that Ashley Burch only has one anime voice, because she sounded identical to Mayurii in Steins;Gate lol. I'll probably play Persona 5 Royal before diving into 5 Dancing, but vision/UI gripes aside this was still a very enjoyable plat and I'm eager to play more with, imo, a better OST. I'll be skipping 3 because I hear that has spoilers.

The gameplay is just walking around looking for collectables, and they are not hard to find. Enjoyment: 8/10 I really enjoyed the story; it's a shame that so many people play this for the easy plat and skip every scene. I was also happy that there was some actual gameplay, unlike in the first game. Edited May 1, 2021 by yuber1234
Popular Post elpoko
#86 Pixel Heroes First 4 playthroughs were fun, next 10 not so much but at least they were nice and short. 100 defeats grind at the end was pretty tedious, I did 5-10 a day for a couple of weeks. The game has a fun sense of humour, I never tired of the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas reference or ignoring the stupid Hobbits. The trophy list was a little boring though, it could have been more fun considering the game doesn't take itself too seriously and I really don't like the Platinum image. I also want to give a shout out to the guide writer, it is excellent and the only reliable source of information that I could find. Overall not to bad though and a juicy 25 Ultra Rares.

Popular Post guy_flies
"The Long Walk" Telltale's The Walking Dead Definitive Edition Telltale games are usually an easy plat but the definitive edition requires all four seasons, and two DLCs (one chapter, one short season) for the platinum trophy. While the Michonne DLC was the weakest I really enjoyed the four real seasons. My only complaints were: 1. The teleporting zombies. When an episode needs action suddenly twenty walkers will appear out of nowhere for some. It's an overused trope, at least once per episode, and if you play all the eps back to back it gets old. 2. Some of your choices are meaningless. A couple of times I had to choose who lived or died, only for the surviving character to get killed off in the same ep or one ep later. The writers couldn't plan for the survivor to be important to the story (they don't know if they'd be there or not) so just write them out at the earliest opportunity to get around it. If you want some easy trophies and multiple platinums it's best to buy the seasons separately, but for convenience the DE is 45 hours of mostly interesting TV + some minor video game elements.

Popular Post BlitzkriegHottie
"Yeah, darlin' gonna make it happenTake the world in a love embraceFire all of your guns at onceAnd explode into space..." "One Percenter" Rarity: 33.04% (Guess its a little bit off) Days Gone: Villainized by journos for not being oscar bait, praised and defended by gamers to no end; the reality, however, is definitelly in between: It is by no means a bad game, but it is by no means a smooth experience neither. To critics and most gamers nowadays everything has to either be a brave and stunning "masterpiece" or the worst piece of shit in existence, there are apparently no in betweens, and that's beyond ridiculous. The game has a lot of issues, some might be just nitpicks but others are actual problems that hurt the overall experience. This is the new Sony IP that really needed a sequel in order to iron all of it's wrinkles but in true Sony fashion, we instead get nothing (for those that don't know, the sequel has been cancelled). Not to mention the game also has a sequel bait secret ending... One thing that really put me off was the main character: Deacon, in order for him to be more accessible (I assume), was turned into a diluted / nerfed version of a biker. If you're looking for a badass, dirty, foul mouthed violent biker like you'd expect Deacon would be after losing everything and during the end of the fucking world, then stop looking, you won't find one. Instead he comes off as whiny and soft. "Politically correct biker" is an actual quote from the game, lol. The way he treats O'brian through the whole thing is also something I greatly dislike. I really enjoyed the game despite all of its issues, it's a ton of fun in the end. Trophy wise the platinum is very easy like most modern Sony exclusives. Nothing to worry about. The 100%, however, it's another story. Game Rating: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 Time to platinum: 50 hours Also did the Survival and New Game+ DLCs, both are very doable, even the hardest difficulty (Survivor II) is very manageable, with only a couple roadblocks that will have you cursing. HOWEVER, time is going to be your enemy here, even by skipping all the things that can be skipped, you're still looking for almost 20 hours of extra gameplay. In the end I was exhausted so I decided to ignore the final DLC (the infamous challenges), since according to guides it will take 20-30 hours and that's a HELL NO. (Maybe much, much later) Sadly, there's nothing to unlock in Survival / NG+ modes other than a crappy weapon that I only used to get the trophy related to it and quickly stored afterwards. Survival and NG+ DLCs Rating: 5/10 Survival and NG+ DLCs Difficulty: 5/10 Time to complete Survival and NG+ DLCs: 16-20 hours (skill dependant, they stack) "Promise to ride me as much as you ride your bike" - Sarah
Popular Post AihaLoveleaf
#6 - Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Vita) None More Wanted"Awarded for successfully collecting all Most Wanted trophies" Rarity: 5.61% (Very Rare) Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 (Platinum experience 4/10, Game experience 7/10) Time to completion: 3 years, 5 months (Actual play time: About 40 hours) It pains me that I have to say anything negative about my experience with this game, because Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a great game. It's a fast and fun arcade racing experience. The open world design gives you a good amount of depth and variety of events and challenges in track and off-road settings. Playing around with the cops and choosing to either torment them for several minutes or quickly run and hide from them manages to stay entertaining even late into the game. Additionally, the soundtrack has a lot of great songs that I'm still listening to even after finishing the game. Unfortunately, the Platinum experience of this game really brings the overall enjoyment of the game experience down. The biggest offenders here are the collectable trophies for Security Gates and Billboards. You have to smash a total of 135 Security Gates and 156 Billboards, which will take you a few hours or more depending on your pace. If that wasn't tedious enough, these two trophies are reportedly highly buggy and several people have reported the trophies to not pop, leading them to have to do it all over again on a new game. This led to me basically doing all the collectable trophies right up front at the beginning of the game just in case I had to start over, which is possible with basically no progression beyond the beginner tutorial race. Fortunately none of my trophies bugged out so I was able to do the entire Platinum in one save file, but the tedium of finding all the collectables and the stress of worrying about whether they'll even pop at the end really puts a damper on the entire experience. The rest of the trophies are otherwise pretty straightforward. It's a split between getting first place on the game's 61 unique races, going out of your way for a few situational trophies (the "do a certain thing in a certain car" kind of thing), and a bit of online play. Grinding out all the game's races will be the most time consuming part, and if you saved it for last like I did, it admittedly does start to drag on towards the end of the game, but not to the point that I felt like giving up. The online trophies can be done in an hour or two depending on your pace and luck. Shoutout to my boosting buddy @TomoTakino for helping me clean up the online portion for this game. While I'm talking about online, the Nothing Personal trophy did, annoyingly, bug out on me several times over. Fortunately my boosting partner was patient enough to troubleshoot it with me, and we ended up fixing it by removing and adding each other back a few times over. I also restarted my Vita each time we retried, and we luckily got it without me having to go as far as formatting my entire Vita like the linked thread suggested. In terms of difficulty, this game was overall much easier than my last racing game Platinum, Spit/Second, which is rated at a 7/10. In Most Wanted, for the most part, I was able to breeze through a lot of the game's events and challenges. There are a small handful of Medium and Hard ranked Speed Runs though that definitely challenged me and took collectively a few hours of practicing to finally nail. If I consider the game's peak moments of difficulty, I'd give Most Wanted an overall personal rating of 6.5/10, accounting for the fact that I also found it trickier to execute precise analog control on the Vita due to my inexperience with the handheld. Due to the game's flawed Platinum experience it's difficult for me to recommend this game to other trophy hunters. If you're a huge Need for Speed fan, an arcade racing junkie, or just a dumbass like me that accidentally synced his Vita trophies and had to finish what he started in 2017, then by all means go for it. The buggy trophies are annoying but this game has a 5.61% rarity despite that, so people are still getting through to the end. Despite that, I had a lot of great moments in this game that I'll carry with me for years to come, and popping the Platinum after the game's most difficult race was a really exciting moment as well. I'm happy to have this Platinum on my profile and will definitely be back for more Need for Speed Platinums when the backlog permits it.
Popular Post Luckman
#120 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare This game is still glitchy especially with the "Dominion" Trophy where you have to win 5 matches in Multiplayer, I had 18 wins and the trophy didn't pop up until I had a loss in TDM. Once I got the trophy and zombies rest were easy from there. Edited May 2, 2021 by Aspex1250

Popular Post Metal
Platinum #11 Ultimate Fall Guy This one was awesome. I met some cool new friends and we played so hard together for many hours over this last week to get the Platinum! We lost so many streaks due to random crap whilst going for: When it finally popped the celebration in the party chat was insane! A gaming memory that will stay with me for a long, long time. We actually ended up winning 7 episodes in a row on this run, just missing out on 8 in the final. At that point I had just bagged the last trophy I needed to net my Platinum by finishing 1st in 20 racing rounds: So I think we lost focus and just wanted to hang out on the main menu screen and talk about what we are all going to play next and how we were all going to spend our evening now that this was done. A very special Platinum for me. Looking forward to playing more games with my new friends in the future. This journey was epic! Popular Post parkerdip
Platinum #76 - Mafia: Definitive Edition Earned 01/05/2021 With this game I didn’t think I would get platinum due to classic difficulty and the race but the race only took me a couple hours and I seemed to have found all the combat scenes easier than on normal. You just have to keep popping in and out of cover and not rush. Edited May 2, 2021 by parkerdip
