After a long break from the game I decided to return to BBCF in an attempt to clear the 2 remaining speedstar courses. I managed to clear Course B using Susanoo in stylish layout yesterday which took me a few tries because I was playing without the patch installed. After trying a bunch of times to clear the dreaded Course C, I decided to try WITH the patch installed and what a dramatic difference it makes! The only advice I can give you is as follows;

 

At the start of the round use either Down+Triangle or Standing Triangle if the move connects continue to press the Triangle button over and over again until the combo finishes. If you have 50% meter you will be able to combo into your super combo. If Active Flow is enabled I would attempt to either combo into his Overdrive exceed for some nice damage and some well needed time on the board.

 

This is my 16th platinum trophy on my account and my 4th Ultra Rare platinum according to PSNProfiles. As far as the guide is concerned I agree with the time needed to platinum it because it took me around 19 hours but the difficulty is very subjective. I'm happy to have this trophy out of the way so I can focus on another clean-up project.

RESIDENT EVIL 5 Platinum Trophy (PS3) (14.76%)

 

 

Finally. I have gotten the platinum trophy for Resident Evil 5 on PS3, just as I did the PS4 platinum recently as well. There is not really much to say aside from the things I said in my previous post in this forum and 2-3 being a bit of a pain to s-rank regardless of difficulty. I am working through the dlc content for re5 and hope to get it done within the next two weeks. In regard to the ps4 version, I may not get to the dlc for that version for a while as other games have come up that I want to work on now but if the opportunity presents its self to get them done in a timely manner then I will take it. Still a good game overall and to go for the platinum.

I just recently got this after finding a way to go into creative mode from another trophy hunter on reddit while trophies are still enabled on the PS4 version of the game. Which made the platinum very easy aside from the passing the time trophy as from my understanding, there isn't anyway of tracking it in game and you just have to AFK until you get it, but it seems to be cumulative across all the worlds you have made previously. I will be slowly working towards the 100% during this year!

Well... I'm finally done everyone. At least to my liking anyway. That didn't take as long as I thought it would lol. I even managed to get some trophies I honestly didn't think I'd get.

For that above one... I ended up cheesing it and just selling a bunch of my materials, got the trophy, and reloaded my save so I could have my materials back. Sorry? ?

 

For the rest... well they seem to be too grindy and convoluted for my tastes and honestly... I think I just want to move on at this point. I mean the Higgledy Gaggle one makes no sense to me. I did some research on it and I think I might know how to get it now and I might... but the other ones are just too grindy heavy for me. ?

 

So it's time to give my final thoughts on this game. Overall... yeah... this game... WAS SO GOD DAMN GOOD. I honestly can't praise this game enough. Story was GREAT (especially in later chapters) and gameplay was OUTSTANDING and chaotic fun lol. The graphics were pretty decent too honestly. I'm a little disappointed the 'anime cutscenes' were removed... but that didn't really matter at all in the end and I didn't even really miss them lol. I just seriously enjoyed every single part to this game. There was never a time I wasn't enjoying it. Well except maybe for the occasional annoying enemy, boss, tainted monster, etc. but that's practically normal at this point. ?

 

Yeah... this has most definitely been the BEST game I've played this year thus far. But... that's not really saying much because it's only March and I still have stuff like Nier Automata, Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Part 1), and Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition in my backlog. So it likely won't hold that title for very long. RIP I guess. ?

 

I really enjoyed this series. I mean honestly I enjoyed Ni No Kuni II more than Wrath of the White Witch but that's just me personally and I seem to like and enjoy ARPGs more than turn based stuff but again that's just me. I would definitely be ALL OVER another game. Unfortunately... even if there is... the U.S. won't be getting it due to Level 5's death. I suppose it's possible that another company, or maybe even Bandai Namco since they were behind both Ni No Kuni games I think, to potentially just bring it to the U.S. for them but I feel like we shouldn't count on that actually happening. So RIP to this franchise I guess. ?

 

So... um... I hope I've had a long enough 'break' from the Tales of franchise. Not that it really matters either way. Next up... is Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. Oh goodie. Tales of are all challenging in their own different sort of ways. So am I worried? Of course I am. But I'll just do what I always do. Which is try my best and do the best I can. ?

 

One thing is for sure... even though I've been putting in the effort to get good 'trophy grades' for most of the games I've been playing... I plan on NOT CARING AT ALL when it comes to trophies for this game. I'll get what I can get and just live with it. Because Tales of trophies tend to be difficult as hell and overly complicated. So I deal with whatever grade I get pretty much. I mean if I can get a C I think I'll be happy honestly. But I'll take whatever grade I get pretty much. ?

 

No spoilers please lol. Also yes this is my first time playing it. I'm in for yet another wild ride I'm guessing. ?

 

Sorry for the long post. Just felt like putting out all my thoughts. ?

Oh boy, I done learnt me a new word today! Never let 'em tell ya games ain't a highly superior alternative to the redundant and OBSOLETE learning platform known as public schooling. I don't quite know what it means, but I'm pretty sure it's an arrestable offense or something. You'd think I'd be worried and that, but the authorities ain't as yet gone after me for all the illegal commands I made back when MS-DOS was still a thing, so I reckon I'm good and safe. Helps to have some inside men and women on the take, y'know? Boom, free life hack for ya! (Not really free, since bribes cost money.)

 

So I'm a little split on my LEGO Avengers experience thus far. The levels are very focused and streamlined, and so the Free Play becomes much less of a needlessly repetitive chore than in most previous titles... but it's also aggravating to the Nth degree to hardly ever know a moment's peace from neverending onslaughts of enemies, especially with how much they've nerfed the combat system (any random muggle could one-shot groups enemies with a ground pound in nearly any past title, whereas the literal friggin' gods at play here have to chip away at even the mookiest of mooks), and the inconceivable lack of the series' staple Invincibility cheat. Not only do Traveller's Tales have a well-earned reputation for failing to innovate; their success rate for the odd attempt of actual innovation is middling at best. My measured optimism for the upcoming Star Wars game remains at a standstill of copious inertia.

 

Inspired choice, though, to give our boy Stanford James Cuthbert Lee almost all of the abilities in the game; cuts down on a lot of the unnecessary character swapping... though the character selection screen will still make your eyes bleed, and you will still need to use it. Gosh, I really should write down all the numerous ways with which TT could improve upon their stuff one of these days... they really aren't particularly incisive suggestions, either. Sometimes I'm a little embarrassed on their behalf, choosing as they do to remain in ceaseless dotage. Didn't mean for this to turn into a negative rant, but it is what it is.

 

Now, I'm all set for getting down and dirty with the DLC, and the remaining gold bricks, after I take a little break to focus on other stuff. Now, to celebrate with some (what else?) panna cotta! ...Nah, not a fan, quite honestly. I'd have some tiramisu since it's ballpark, but it's hard to come by... tell ya what, I'll go down to the SUGAR SHACK to get a bread, but not too big.

I started this game around the time that it was first released but due to my funds at that point I ended up selling my PS4 and my entire collection of games for rent money (a rather dark time for me in my life). Beginning of 2020 my funds got better and I went digital with all of my games and rebrought this a while ago, didn't restart it for some reason and lately I've decided to go through a lot of my games (also thanks to the suggestions that people made in a thread) and want to 100% this before I get a PS5 in 5 days time.
