Coolest video game main menus?

Lately, I've been playing Catherine Full Body Edition on the PS4 and thought, "Wow, that's cool!!!" when I saw the main menu. Any game ever make you do that when you saw the main menu?

 

Here's a pick of the Catherine one. It's actually dynamic, but you get the idea here.

I really enjoyed the main menu of Bulletstorm. The music was awesome and I liked the little "tour" the camera gave you.

The one that comes to mind for me is the main menu for Spec Ops: The Line. It shows a sniper up on his perch overlooking Dubai, and it changes depending on what chapter you're currently on, becoming more fucked up as you progress further through the story. There are some really cool details such as the upside down American Flag (a distress signal). It's such a great yet subtle way of showing how the player's actions are affecting the city, and it's even better once you beat the game and understand what the game is actually about. Go play Spec Ops: The Line if you haven't done so already btw. Masterpiece. ?

The ones in Devil May Cry 5 are pretty cool where after beating the game you will see all the characters sitting around Nico's van.

The other one I can think of is the one from KOTOR II. If you go on the dark side path and beat the game that way the Sith Lord character in the main menu will go from one of the bosses to your character which I remember thinking was really cool when I played it. It was like the game was acknowledging how evil powerful I was becoming

You can't beat detroit become human, that is the greatest menu design i have ever seen, so alive and interactive it is lovely.

I mean in the the 14th of july she reminded me of the french revolution, how cool is that!

Came to say Persona 5.  Forgot about Spec Ops: The Line, but that's a good one too.  I didn't notice the changes until I saw the flag upside down.  Trails of Cold Steel 2 was nice too.  It changes depending on what's going on too.  Valimar standing in front of the Infernal Castle is my favorite.

The Last of Us 

 

Such a simple and serene scene, a moment of quiet calm accompanied by the gentle lull of the music in the background. And yet...still you have this feeling of immense sadness, as though once you leave this moment things will never be the same. For once you begin the game and experience all of the horrors awaiting you, this beautiful instance only leaves you longing for the time when none of it had happened at all.

Persona 5. Like practically the whole UI in the game, it looks fantastic and has great music too.

Celeste's menus are also really nice, although more for the stage select menu rather than the main menu.

Also agreed about Spec Ops and Catherine.

And nearly forgot Rise of the Tomb Raider. While nowhere as fancy as Atlus games but lightning lighting in a dark room is pretty cool.

Days Gone. Loved the font, and it's dynamic, matching the region you're in and your bike design. Plus the music!

In-game UI is one of the best too.

Surprised no one has mentioned Metal Gear Solid 3's title screen. You can:

• Hold R1 to speed up the animations
• Hold L2 to slow them down
• Press R3 to change the background colour
• Move the background using the right stick
• Change the pattern of the background using L3
• Zoom in and out using L1
• Press triangle to change to background to black while keeping the characters animated

Plus you get a badass background track.

I’m going with Dark Souls 3 and Skyrim main menus. Not for the actual menus but for the music that plays when at them. I’m currently surfing the internet while listening to the Skyrim menu music for the third time because it’s that fantastic.

I like the smooth transition from intro to title screen in SMT: Nocturne. When it ends you see the main character and a lot of big demons behind him. They're standing in the dark with light coming from their eyes as they move and blink and wait for you to press Start.

I'll be the first to mention a Nintendo game. Xenoblade Chronicles is simply spectacular. Main Theme is the most beautiful song ever made and the transition from day to night then an bird's eye view exploring all the different locations was astounding. Sat there for 2 hours when I first booted up the game.
