Concerning the Embracer Group split and the separation of Asmodee: It seems they are in deep shit money-wise. That puts 2 games at risk as all of them are licensed games: The LotR card game and the Arkham Horror game. No physicals for either of them. Afaik none of the other games have online trophies, but Ill gladly be corrected on that one.

Gloomhaven has a paid dlc that doesn't seem to be included in the disc version. The dlc is included in the gold edition but that appears to be digital only.

 

Shame about Arkham Horror, it seems to be one of the best of their games. The article Lord_Bane999 posted mentioned the deadline to repay the debt to be February 2025. They could be delisted then, or maybe not. Or maybe a bit earlier than that. Better get them soon if you are interested (though there are still many months to go before it's 2025).

When looking at the sale pattern here, one could guess it should go on sale at the end of this month or in May. (It's been on sale for the NA store at the same dates).

You can calm your nerves :) as there are many facts (and questions/food for thought) to consider which many people (including myself at times) manage to overlook.

 

• PSN is a unified network across all of its devices. The only “flaw” I have observed is that PS3 trophy collection on the XMB cannot display your earned PS5 trophies.

• Sony can shut down any application (PS Home, SingStar, PS Store) but they can’t enter your home and take the Wi-Fi chip out of your PS3 🤷‍♂️ 

• The PSP store was shut down, but all the content (afaik) remains available on the PS3 store.
• Why would Sony go to trouble of creating a new and more secure way to authorize sign-in for PS3 and VITA, and continue FW updates (rhetorical question) to then shut down their entire systems (refer to first point) shortly afterward?

• Any PS3 game that is still running online or not running anymore, it’s likely not because of anything besides simple abandonment.

• Those concerned with the passing of the PS3 generation should consider shifting focus to games of their interest with particular hardware requirements (sixaxis gyroscope, move wand, ps eye, other proprietary plug-ins) as even if the entire remaining PS3 library was supported on streaming services (already unlikely), not every game can saved in the end.

• Remember the Insomniac leak. While obviously it was a deplorable crime that was committed, it revealed that 2 million people still use the PS3. Not that this must influence Sony business decisions (nor should it be new information to them) but it’s meaningful to us, to know we probably pessimistically underestimated the remaining PS3 user base.

So besides what I linked it actually goes further into stuff when you look at owned or licensed IPs they also do stuff for. It may not be part of Twin Sails directly but still falls under the larger Asmodee umbrella through one of their many subsidiaries.

There is so many more IPs they own or publish for on Steam/Mobile. But these are the ones I could find various PSN games for.

 

(Do note this doesn't mean every game they have an IP or License for may disappear in the future. But expensive paid licenses will typically be the first of many cuts if they make any, to save bank.)

I just went on Steam and saw that Capcom is delisting Flock, which is also on PS3, on May 8.  Presumably, it'lll be delisted on PS3 as well.  Flock is currently on sale on Steam and XBox Live, BTW.

Included the game Dark Void in my initial post, which got a digital release on Steam but is physical-only on PS3.

A couple of things to note with this:

 

1. It's was part of PS Plus in mid 2022, but you'd likely know that if you've been playing it.

 

2. On the way up is unattainable on both FIFA 22 and 23. This indicates they ain't gonna fix it.

One more thing to mention is that given EA’s track record of shutting down FIFA 21’s servers much sooner, and now following up this trend with FIFA 22, I honestly don’t think that FIFA 23 will survive for a long time as well (predicting a server shutdown for that game in 2025, likely on Q4).

Will we have the upcoming delistings in the front page?

 

I was going to say that Volgarr the viking is currently on sale on psn, that it could be interesting picking it up due to the delisting of Adult Swim games in May, but can't remember if said title is at risk because it also has another publisher besides Adult Swim. As far as I remember, these ones are likely to be delisted next month: 

 

Samurai Jack: Battle through Time

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality

Duck Game

Rise & Shine

Headlander 

Mega Coin Squad

 

I  can remember people saying what was safe (like Rain World and Death's Gambit, for example, confirmed by devs), but can't remember everything at risk.

yes will add the ones that get  delisted from the adult swim games list next month  :)

Do we have a list of games that are white flagged or do we have some games that got white flagged after a server shutdown?

Because some games recived costum Servers or got a option to play the online playmodes in your own home Network like bulletstorm ps3

@Thephoenixshow Thanks for taking over the thread! I know a ton of people rely on this every day, so it's much appreciated! This thread had a lot of issues displaying in light mode and also some issues where the hidden contents boxes were broken. I went ahead and fixed all that so it should be good to go now. If you ever paste any text into your post from elsewhere, try pasting with Ctrl + Shift + V so it pastes the text without any extra formatting that would break it in light mode again

 

Also thanks a ton to @EdinhoN for spending years keeping the previous thread up to date, it was incredibly helpful to so many people (1.5 million views on the thread alone!)

 

Also I went ahead and adjusted the titles on both threads (Removed the "2" from this one) and added "Retired" to the other one so it's less confusing
