Popular Post FilmFanatic
#150 - Mass Effect: Andromeda Andromeda's Finest Collect all trophies. My first plat was Dark Souls (2nd game in the series) so I made Dark Souls 3 (4th game in the series) my 100th plat. My 50th plat was Mass Effect 2 (2nd game in the series) so I decided, for better or worse, to make Mass Effect: Andromeda (4th game in the series) my 150th plat to keep the pattern going. Unfortunately this decision was for the worse. I went in with an open mind wanting to like it as the first 3 games are some of the best I've ever played but I couldn't completely get into it. The main character isn't very interesting compared to Shepard and of the 6 companions, Peebee was the only one I really liked. There were multiple times when the game had you thinking you had a really important choice to make but it turned out it didn't affect the end result at all which was pointless. The graphics for the worlds were decent enough but characters faces were all over the place, sometimes someones hair would look like it had been smudged all over with no detail at all which was very offputting. Having played and absolutely loved Dragon Age: Inqusition this game was a big disappointment. On the plus side the combat was reasonably fun, the Nomad was far better to drive than the Mako and the game let you put points into any of the 3 skill trees so you could use combat, tech and biotic powers all on the same character.

Sucks to hear you didn't enjoy it, but completely echo those sentiments, like almost immediately I was put off the game by Ryder and friends, and all the Pathfinder nonsense. It's like no-one on the team understood what made Mass Effect 1-3 special, or if they thought they did, completely missed the mark for me anyway. ______________________________________________________________ ✭ 4 - Saints Row : Gat Out Of Hell Scorched Savior ______________________________________________________________ Took about 30 hours in total (though with about 8 of that idling for the "play for 20 hours" challenge, since I sorely underestimated how long the grinding would take). SR3 and even 4 are a much better use of time, it doesn't even really boast the humour those games have, and SR4 has super powers too... Genuinely can't think of a reason to recommend it. Not exactly a difficult trophy, just incredibly time consuming. Edited August 4, 2017 by MachoLucha
Popular Post AlphaTrash
Injustice 2. Platinum 27 and trophy 1337. World Destroyer. @Sergen Said I could never get this plat, he called me fake and gay and told me I should give up on my dreams. I told him I'm not fake, just a little bit gay and I told him they're not dreams, they're just me predicting the future. He laughed, I laughed, he laughed again, I laughed in return then he laughed again so I left. As for the plat, it's one of the easiest fighting plats out there I think as there's nothing hard about it. It's all grind and a little luck when it comes to the cat call trophy. 6/10. A great place to start if you're new to fighters. Pro tip: If you're going to start this game and play online, make sure to turn competitive mode on, you don't stand much of a chance otherwise. 11

Seems like what I said really did trigger you about the first Injustice game . But in all seriousness, it's not wrong to say that Injustice is a good game to start with for fighting newbies, if you played any Street Fighter game, you'd see that. But anyway, I'm so proud of you for doing this game, it would definitely be too hard for me, just like the first one :/

Good luck triggering me, there's your 2018 challenge. Injustice 1 and 2 are both very accessible to new players, I'd say start with 2 and then do 1. I actually agree with you when you say Injustice is a good place to start. Some of the challenges it offers up are tough to beat if you're new. They're nothing compared to SF IV or MvC trials though. Cheers bro, that'll teach you never to doubt me again. While you're at it, you should quit doubting yourself; you can do it, I believe in you. Popular Post Strider-Falcon
Titanfall 2 Mark of the Advocate A very polished single player game and super fun online multiplayer game. This was fun and challenging in equal measures. The only real hard trophy is the "...Becomes the Master" trophy, which takes lots of practice and focus. The next difficult trophy is beat the campaign on Master difficulty and all I can write is play safe and smart, use stealth where possible and get to next checkpoint without fighting where possible again. Even though platted to game, I still play on multiplayer online because it is so fun. If you like mechs and FPS games, then maybe this game is for you.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #98: Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (July 27th, 2017) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement: 8.5/10 Estimated Time: 9 - 10 Hours Spoiler A very decent crime solving game focusing on the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. John Watson. This isn't trying to be LA Noire, and it's not supposed to be. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is essentially all about solving cases with the exception of a few QTE sequences sprinkled in. There are six cases to be solved, each taking a hour to two hours or so depending on how fast you are as a a player, and whether you'll be following a walkthrough throughout the game. I personally don't know if the cases are based off of the books by Sir Arthur Canon Doyle, or have a tie in to other Sherlock Holmes games as I have never played any of them prior to this one. But the ones that are presented here were done very well. In each of the six cases, there is a murder. Most of the murder cases have Inspector Lestrade giving you (Sherlock) the basic details involving the crime, but it will be mostly yourself fitting the pieces together at all the crime scenes, and then going to the "deduction screen", linking pieces of information together to form more deductions, and eventually conclusions. There are a few people to profile in each case, noting their facial features, clothes, and gestures to reveal who they are personally. When interviewing the possible suspects there is a brief QTE sequence that involves choosing from a list of options that showcase whether they're lying, or trying to avoid the question Sherlock had asked. It's similar to the 'Lie' feature in LA Noire, where Cole Phelps was able to tell a potential suspect was lying by going through his notebook to pick a piece of evidence to show they're not telling the truth. It's very much the same type of system in Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. This was a very good rental game in my opinion. Sherlock Holmes doesn't overstay his welcome, but I wish the developers added more cases to the game since the ones put in place were brilliant. The minigames and puzzles offered in this game were done well, ranging from opening cylinder locks that take a little bit of thought and strategy, to more complex ones like forming blocks together to make a molding for an ice and silver dagger. Some are quite difficult, but you can earn all the trophies that involve not skipping the puzzles and minigames early on. Personally I found solving them myself to be much more rewarding, though I can see why many people would skip them. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is decent, and the six cases involve an overarching plot which I won't spoil. In the "deductions" screen you can form many conclusions, one having as many as six conclusions, which is six endings to watch if you so choose. This brings a little bit of replayability into the game as you can go back and make another conclusion, therefore watching that ending play out after you made your initial conclusion. Only one conclusion is the right one though, which is needed to platinum the game as you need to reach the right conclusion for all six cases. You also need to be consistent with "Condemning" or "Absolving" a suspect, as that unlocks a gold trophy when the game is finished. Overall I enjoyed Sherlock Holmes. Definitely worth renting. The humor and banter between Sherlock and Watson was amusing. The developers of this game did a very good job portraying Sherlock Holmes as he probably would be in the books, even though I never read them. Everything from the cases to the Hub area (Sherlock's home) where you look up your archives and solve various puzzles was done accurately in my opinion, portraying 1890s England pretty well. I would of liked this game to have been longer, and have shorter load times as the load times were quite lengthy when jumping from location to location. But that's hardly a flaw. If anything this game is an easy platinum, and well worth playing. Edited August 5, 2017 by Spaz

Popular Post Dark Layla
#110 - Call of Duty : Modern Warfare RemasteredThe first platinum of COD always has a special taste, especially when we are talking about one of the best COD games (for me along with WAW the best ..) I was hoping that this game would come out of the context "infinite warfare" because I do not like that game. It's from these old CODs that I've learned to like this franchise ... Let's move on.. I always look at COD campaign modes as good and this one doesn't fire the rule.Fortunately there are no DLC and multiplayer trophies, it's exactly for this reason that i like this platinum even moreBut not everything is a sea of roses ... although this game in veteran mode is not difficult as WAW, there are missions in which the skill of the player will be put to the test, for example war pig, one shot one kill , and especially mile high club in which it's an already difficult chapter and with a countdown aggravated by the difficulty. Is a chapter that almost gave me a cancer ...Best of the Best reminds me titanfall 2 "become the master" trophy in which i can't tell which of the two are the most annoying I ended my holidays in a big way because this platinum was my priority number 1And that's all for now

Popular Post Ala-Arska
LEGO City Undercover Cop-letionist Unlock All Trophies It's not the size that matters, but how you use it. For a game that's made of bricks and blocks, this sure has elements for grown-ups too. A little different from other LEGO titles, Undercover deals mostly with chapters and a huge sandbox City. And one hero! Although colourful and pretty to look at, the gameplay lends hugely from GTA series. For a cop, I sure "borrowed" a lot of cars Story, on the other hand, reminded me of Sleeping Dogs: back from a few years' absence, our undercover police has to deal with crime once again. Soundtrack is straight from 70's cop shows. And I swear, every time I collected something the tune sounded just like a theme from 'Bully' Collectibles are around, as usual. Only this time there's 450 Gold Bricks instead of around 250. It takes a long, long time to gather those goldies... It's a relatively glitch free journey, gladly. I only encountered one freeze and one helipad related bug the whole time. Nothing that a restart wouldn't fix. Since LCU is originally a Nintendo product, every Mario reference is (sadly) deleted from this PS4 version. This makes character tokens harder to get. Every disguise that was related to the plumber before, doesn't show up in the collectables scanner anymore. Good luck finding those ones As LC Undercover is 'bout 1.5 times longer than other blockfests, there's more to enjoy about it. Or more annoying details, depending how you look at it. I'd say this is probably one of my favorite ones so far. Definitely worth grabbing, if you're into building (and destroying) stuff

Popular Post Kuro-Okami
#33 Nier Automata Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 So far a GOTY contender for me. This game is pretty much eveything i expect/wish from a game. Interesting story and charakters. Good dystopic world that changes over time. Innovative story teling. Only thing i didn't like as much as the rest of the game was when playing with 9S. At first it's cool and all but i adapted to his playstyle too fast and the story of his wasn't as interesting as 2B's or A2's. #34-36 Crash Insane Trilogy Crash 1: Enjoyment 8,5/10 - Difficulty 6/10 Crash 2: Enjoyment 7/10 - Difficulty 4/10 Crash 3: Enjoyment 6/10 - Difficulty 3/10 Ok, i'll start with the negative aspects that concern all 3 games. The loading time of this game is insane... it takes way too long to enter a level or get out of a level. If you are doing a speed run there is the option to start all over again. Why was it so hard to implement this feature while playing normal? Sometimes there is a dying animation, sometimes there is none... which also takes a while to load. Crash 1 & 2 weren't designed to have time trials. Some stages never were ment to be done quickly, such as Native Fortress, Cold Hard Crash and so on cause it often had a change of pace within the level itself. Looking at the "enjoyment" you can see that the first was imo the best and the 3rd the worst. Why was that... first of all Crash 1 just consistet of one jump. No Slide, no Tornado, which forced me to take most of the platforms. Like this the stages were challenging but thanks to a good level design very enjoyable. The other two... many stages were skippable (the 3rd more than the 2nd) cause of the new mechanics. I finished most of the enjoyable levels with my first try. So what was left... the 2nd had it's final stages with Spaced out and the Jetpack levels i absolutely disliked and the 3rd consisted of so many "special levels". I didn't like the bike, Jet Ski, Air Plane, underwater levels at all. And yeah even though the games had real good stages those are the impressions that stuck in my brain (High Road was more enjoyable for me than any of the stated stages).
