Popular Post Tesla_Rules
Plat # 6: Conan Exiles Fun, but pretty easy game with the Admin Panel. Then came the boosting for the final trophy. That was a bit of a pain due to people joining that didn't know what needed to be done even though it was explained in detail But all is good and another shiny plat for the win!

Popular Post Mayellie
#32 - Dead Island: Definitive Edition The Whole World Went Away Collect all other trophies Sooooo, Dead Island is about you being trapped on an island full of… the dead. You were having a nice, little vacation on some tropical island god knows where, when everything turns to crap. This is your typical zombie game – one that does not put the story or side missions in the spotlight, as that’s really not the focus of the game. Instead, I’d say the focus is more on mindlessly whacking some zombies and creating crazy weapons to wack ‘em with. Simple, right? Unfortunately, this game sucks to me, and here’s why. It’s a very “plain” game. I could not care about any of the characters or the story. You’re all trapped on an island with some zombies trying to eat your brains? Okay, cool, have fun. I don’t care. The characters are mainly annoying and feature some half-assed dialogue and script. The story is largely uninteresting and almost purposefully gives you no incentive to change your mind. Plus, the “go there, do this, fetch that” gets very boring and repetitive quick. The recycled enemies and boring combat made killing zombies, the one thing this game was meant to get right, pretty unsatisfying. Controls are funky, side-quests are boring, game lacks depth, firearm controls suck, voice acting is laughable and ridiculous, I can go on and on. It’s almost like the devs thought “what makes a game bad?” and put all those characteristics into this crap. Also, I get it’s a tropical island, but I’m a bit confused as to how all the male characters were dressed in actual clothes, whereas it seemed that there was some law written by the dead that all the female characters had to be in bikinis… Trophies: guess what, they suck too, hurray! You have the basic numerous “kill X characters with Y weapons”, which are fine. You have the “kill <insert annoying enemy type>” stuff as well, which is fine and some other miscellaneous stuff that you do across the island, such as picking up collectibles and whatnot. There’s a trophy to complete 75 (horribly boring) quests cumulatively, and a BUNCH of co-op trophies, some requiring up to TEN co-op partners. Luckily, in DI, you can randomly join other people’s games to get some trophies and hope they don’t kick you out. But hold on, if you thought that sucked, get ready for this: there’s a trophy to hit Level 50. To hit level 50, you’d need an amount of XP that you’d get by beating the game 3-4 times. Thankfully, @Fox was my zombie-whacking co-op partner, and since he platted the game already, he told me about levelling exploits that I did early in the game to get some OP weapons and fly through this crap. Also, the game is split into 4 acts. There’s a trophy for playing Act 1 4 times with 4 different characters. Just… why? Each time, there is 0 difference in the story and barely any in the gameplay. What’s the point? Just trophies intentionally designed to prolong a game that simply doesn’t have that sort of content. I really wanted to like Dead Island, but it aged badly (although that implies this was good at release… which I highly doubt it was). The nonsensical story and lackluster gameplay made for a not-so-good experience that not even co-op mode with a good friend could have redeemed it for me. Verdict: If you’re looking for a good zombie-whacking game, keep looking. This ain’t it. Time: 30 hours Boredom: 10/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 3/10 is the only appropriate rating
Popular Post JoaLoft
#237 - Watch Dogs Legion On a roll lately and I wanted to squeeze a brand-new game in here as I cover all the other new releases. Most recently, I sneaked and hacked my way to the platinum trophy of Watch Dogs Legion! It's the third entry in the franchise, but that doesn't mean you need any prior knowledge; you can pick this up as your first taste of digital tomfoolery and understand pretty much everything that's going on. It takes place in the very near-futuristic version of London, where private military companies (such as one called "Albion" in this game) and governments provide security in society profiling everyone, but also use the same technology to manipulate the course of history. The philanthropic hacker collective, Dedsec, walks into a trap at the beginning of the story laid by a mysterious hacker collective called "Zero Day" and is then left to be built up again from the ground by you, as you fight against the private militia, the criminal underworld of London, and try to expose the secret identity of Zero Day. All the while trying to stop London from burning down. The story is pretty compelling at times actually, but the game really shines in building up your own team: you can recruit whoever you want. Really. Whoever you want. Each person also has their own unique perks: paramedics have access to ambulances which can be summoned and can access medical buildings more easily. Same goes for gang members, Albion security personnel, police officers, the Royal Guard of Buckingham Palace, and so on. Hitmen and spies have access to more advanced weaponry or special cars, anarchists can throw smoke bombs, beekeepers can unleash mechanical bees (BioShock style), getaway drivers have advanced driving skills, construction workers can summon cargo drones to fly high up in the air which adds more vertical gameplay options, lawyers can help detained operators get released from jail quicker, and so much more. And yes, operators will make friends and enemies through their actions. If they kill security personnel, innocent bystanders or anyone else, their next of kin and friends get informed which can lead to them taking revenge on Dedsec and effectively kidnapping one of your operators. That character will then be unavailable until you rescue them. If they get downed, depending on the context of the situation, they can be hospitalized or arrested even (hence the fancy lawyer perk). There are a lot of variables in play here which make Watch Dogs Legion a pretty entertaining game, and one which will provide a different gameplay experience for everyone. Also: some operators have a handicap where they have suicidal tendencies and can die permanently (!) or suffer from flatulence, giving away their position to enemy units. Which brings me to the fact that the game has a permadeath mode: if all your operators die, game over. You can hire a small army of operators and mitigate that way, but there's no immediate need to play this mode, considering there's no affiliated trophy (thank you God!). You have different tools at your disposal as well, like spiderbots, an AR cloak and shroud, the ability to hack drones and turn them against your pursuers, you get it. But aside from that, it's the basic hacking gameplay you know from other Watch Dogs games: hack fuse boxes, get access through doors, find keycards, hack cameras, the usual. But I still think this game is the best one out of all three, simply because of the open gameplay design and the story. Recommended! Most frustrating trophy - You Don't See Me! Aside from dealing with a bunch of "collectibles" - i.e. drink at every pub, play darts at every pub, put up propaganda posters everywhere - the most annoying trophy for me was "You Don't See Me!" In pure GTA fashion, you can end up being chased by law enforcement in a differing degree, all the way up to five "stars". This trophy requires you to build up a notoriety of five stars and then escaping the law having a Living Statue operator active, and using a statue emote to evade them, thereby hiding in plain sight. A Living Statue operator has no special perks, aside from the "hide in plain sight" one. They have no extra armor, no special weapons aside from the regular stun guns that pretty much all operators get, or an increased physical condition, so you need to survive a long time switching cars with this operator and building up that notoriety. If you can pull that off, you need to lose them by running away on foot into small alleyways and then, when they're not around, activating the "Statue" emote and waiting until they give up searching. Building up to those five stars with a "weak" operator like that was very stressful, because I ended up dying almost a few times when you're switching cars and you have several lethal drones and four - five cars after you, filled with security personnel armed to the teeth. Pretty standard trophy list though. No difficulty-related trophies, just finish the story, take down enemies with all kinds of operators, acquire collectibles and upgrade all your tools. Next game, please! EDIT: I do need to add: the game suffers from technical hiccups which will hopefully get rectified through a few more patches, and the customization of your team does result in an emotional disconnect from your operators. I didn't care much about what happened to them, despite having operators I preferred above others. Edited November 8, 2020 by JoaLoft The cons ... Popular Post Masamune
The Phenomenal Phantom Thief Obtained all trophies. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Playtime: 139:59:00 (3 months, 3 weeks, 2 days) Screenshot: Sadly no plat shot since the entire last part of the game is treated as a blocked scene. This version had some pretty nice additions to it, one of my favorites was just the extra functions in the Velvet Room... hell, half my playtime was probably spent in there trying to make more powerful personas during an alarm. I do think the extra story/dungeon at the end was lacking though, I won't spoil anything, but it just seemed kinda pointless... ? Even if you played the original though, it's worth checking this out too just for the gameplay improvements... I enjoyed it enough to where I probably did 2-3x more than what was required for the plat. ? Speaking of which, the trophy list is laughably easy... a bit too much imo. There were so many new things they could've added to it, but most of them just require you doing something once, & that's it (it's like a demo version of the original). The hardest part of is just maxing all your social stats, & I think that can be done before you're halfway through the game. Oh, & Futaba is still the best girl in the game. I'm willing to put the new girl in the top 3 though. Edited November 8, 2020 by Masamune

Popular Post SirDave1988
# 119 Cuphead (PS4) Grand UproarObtain all other trophies Difficulty - 10/10 Enjoyment - 9/10 I don't think I've ever been so stressed at trying to finish a platinum and yet enjoyed it so much as I have this one. Probably my most difficult platinum so far. I'd never heard of Cuphead until just prior to it's PS4 release earlier this year. After watching a livestream of it from YouTuber LudiXP (go subscribe btw, great channel), I really liked how fun the game looked and decided to get it at the pleasingly low cost at the time of £15.99. Little did I know the torture I would get myself into haha. I would best describe this game as the Dark Souls of side scrolling platformers in a 1930's aesthetic. The graphics are super colourful and smooth and it controls impeccably well, but my god is it unforgiving in it's difficulty. You have to really buckle down with each different boss/level and learn all of the ins and outs to each one, which when you beat it makes it incredibly rewarding but very punishing at the smallest mistake. It is incredibly challenging, but it always seemed to me within the realms of possibility that you can eventually do it, which turned out to be the case and I'm really glad that I stuck it out all the way. I do hope that one day, there will be a sequel to this. I'll definitely pick it up if there is one, despite the stress I know it would inevitably bring me and many others haha. Yeah........
Popular Post SirWaWa
I've always wanted this plat and I finally have it! My longest plat to date clocking in at 189 hours. I really liked Graces and I would rank it among one of the tops as far as Tales games go. However, it's not without some serious flaws. First is the pacing, it's very slow and I would still consider it a snails pace on a New Game+ speed run. Second, since this is essentially a port of the Wii version but with more content and bug fixes which means that the game revolves around the Wii hardware and the graphics are going to be subpar even by the standards at that time. It essentially runs at 720p, upped from 480p with widescreen support with crisp graphics and vibrant colours but very basic in it's aesthetic design. This has an upside however, as this isn't a hardware taxing game. It has very speedy load times and a very consistent smooth frame rate. Don't let it it's looks fool you, this game is loaded with content and a post-game story that is fully playable. There is a ton of voiced skits and story content, some unvoiced parts are definitely questionable and should have been voiced. The opening intro is done by none other, BoA. Great opening with subtle story spoilers that I never noticed after watching the intro many times over. That won't have any meaning you can piece together until you playthrough the game. The highest production values is seen here and the various but few anime cut scenes. The battle system is where this game truly shines. I found the AI to be mostly very competent as you learn more artes and as long as it's set to an aggressive setting. My favourite part of this particular Tales game is the humor, which ranges from hilarious to cringy. There are a ton of innuendos and is littered with "relationship" tension among the cast. I noticed this specific type of humour is not as much present or almost completely absent in future Tales games going by date release order. Graces is very grindy and I got the plat in one playthrough. If done right, which I didn't really plan you actually don't need the zhonecage to complete any of the inn requests other than to advance the remaining few at the end just so the request shows up. In other words, if you're careful with your items, including shard farming you don't need to farm anything that was missed by wandering the zhonecage. The faqs make it sound easy and rest assuring if you screw things up it's salvageable in the zhonecage except for two items. However, it's not because chest items are random and you have to fight the floor boss to leave the zhonecage. So I recommend do it right the first time and don't rely on the zhonecage as your backup plan. This entry is truly an end of an era as you'll see future Tales games no longer have this resemblance.
Popular Post Quink666
Platinum #352 Watch Dogs: Legion Completionist Difficulty: / Enjoyment: / Trophies fun factor: / Time to plat: 25 Hours Nothing special about this game, it just another Ubisoft game. Glitchy and moderately fun. In the previous two entires your character felt stronger with each skill you got, in Legion you are forced to change character if you want some strong skills and weapons for example. The problem is you don't know if the mission you are about to start require a hacker or a good fighter and you can't change skills, characters mid mission. Trophies and game both are buggy. Missions can soft lock when an item you need to destroy magically don't have a hitbox. Game crashed frequently, about 10 times in 25ish hours. Would suggest that people who are planning on buying the game wait for a sale. Edited November 9, 2020 by Quink666
Popular Post Zach
#174 Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time: 74hrs This is definitely one of my favorite games of the last gen. I find it to be one of the most unique RPGs ever made. To me, it's like Final Fantasy, Fable, and Elder Scrolls put together. When it comes to this remaster, it's a decent port, but it's also pretty buggy. There's a lot of pop ins, DRASTIC frame rate drops to the point where the game freezes then you teleport (rare though), and other misc small bugs. If you can look past the infrequent bugs, you'll find a game with fun gameplay, beautiful environments, cool boss battles, awesome leveling system, and a decent story.

Popular Post RetroInfinityz
#7 - Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Difficulty - 7 / 10 Overall enjoyment - 9 / 10 I really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 2 throughout my entire journey to platinum it! I played through it twice once on critical mode (the hardest difficulty), and once on standard to finish up all the other trophies. The hardest part was definitely the post-game bosses as there are like 15 different ones you have to beat and they're all pretty difficult (at least to me). Beside that there is a decent amount of grinding for crafting materials and finishing up the other miscellaneous trophies. Popular Post MrGarland
Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 75 hours Enjoyment: 9/10 Spoiler Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Here's a game that I looked forward to playing it when I saw a preview back in 2011. After reading a few reviews (including the one from IGN), I decided to buy it. It was pretty good. Same can be said about the DLCs. Then comes the remastered version. When I first heard about this, I jumped back to the original, to complete the DLCs I hadn't done. As for the remaster, it may be more or less the same game, but it still looks great, perhaps even better than the original. Or that just might be me. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed this, just like I did with the original back then. Before I begin, a little tip. Turn off the auto-save. I'm not 100% sure, but every time you dispel a ward, try persuading others and so on, the game saves. Especially when going for A Wink and a Smile, chances of getting that trophy might become more and more less likely. My best tip is to save every 10-15 minutes, especially after fighting a huge number of enemies or completing quests. On to the game. After completing a several story quest, I decided to do what I like in RPGs: exploring. Finding secrets, completing side quests, looting weapons and armor was fun. It also helps a lot the more you do that. I ended up completing a lot of side quests before I eventually jumped back to the main story. Gameplay-wise, this game offers multiple playstyles, I decided to stick to my preferred playstyle from the original: a longsword (later changed to hammer) and staff wielding adventurer who also used magic. Especially that minion summoning skill which was useful. Either when turning the enemy attention to it or just helping me. I also tried to clear the game perfectly when it comes to side quests. I failed eight of them in the original. This time, I failed 6 of them. 5 of them failed because I accidentally completed that one optional quest from the Warsworn storyline and I hadn't done them earlier, while one failed because I killed the quest giver. I completed that one twice, but it just kept going. Not to mention, it's boring as it requires you to kill specific monsters. Maybe someday I'll do another playthrough where I'll do every last one of them, but not anytime soon. If there's anything I dislike about this game, it's the certain enemies. The trolls are annoying since they resist most of the elements, and killing them takes a while. According to the game, poison is the effective way to take them down. However, the worst enemies by far are the crudoks (the large enemies with scorpion stinger). It didn't matter how strong I was, these were always annoying to deal with. On top of spewing poison around, it also shoots three orbs that slowly chase you around, and also stings you twice if you get too close. It's also often accompanied by other monsters, so yeah. No fun. Finally, don't underestimate the boggarts (those little goblin-like creatures with wooden masks). Whenever they begin to glow, they try to ram you, and that deals a huge amount of damage so take caution. Then comes Alabasta which is the final part in the game. I only have one thing to say about this: it's a huge pain in the ass. Why? First of all, this area is filled with a shitload of enemies. I'm not kidding. Most of them are Tuatha soldiers, but sometimes they're paired with monsters. Second, whenever you get spotted, it isn't possible to fast travel to another location. Finally, it also doesn't matter how far you run, they will chase you and eventually catch you up. Also, if you run into another group of enemies while fleeing, you have to fight them as well, and that becomes a long fight. I wasted so many potions at one point because of that. Luckily, my level (as well armor and weapons) were good enough, but even so... Trophy-wise, they're pretty simple and straightforward. The only trophy you should keep your eye on is A Wink and a Smile (the trophy I dislike the most). That, and clearing the game on Hard as well as well as killing an enemy that's 4 levels higher than you. Not only that, but there are some changes. First, many of the trophies values have been changed from the original. For example, all the faction related trophies are now bronze instead of silver. Second, the DLC trophies are now part of the main trophy list. So, in order to get the platinum, you have to collect those as well. Here's a couple of screenshots taken during my journey: Probably the "best" moment I had in this game was the one shown above. Don't you think there's enough of them? Luckily, they weren't too strong, but it sure took a while since I was at the beginning. Here's my character. I decided to use the same name as my PSN ID. I'm not really that good when it comes to thinking names so I hope you understand. I could've also used my name, but... Anyway, that's what my character looks like in both versions. Finally, the platinum screenshot. It's taken after I finished the game. Yes, I cleared the entire game on Hard. Not just the main story, but the DLCs as well. For the most part, it was easy unlike the first time I played where I died several times. I only had trouble with the following spots: - Adessa is the area I had forgotten till I reached it again in the remastered version. This part of the game introduces the spellcasters. I had so much trouble avoiding them in the original, but now? No problem, although I still dislike them. - The final boss in the House of Ballads storyline is annoying, but not very hard. The only real threatening attack is when she waves her staff and releases that attack. If it hits you, you lose more than 50% of your health, but it's easy to dodge. Also, she summons several enemies which makes it hard to focus. Thankfully, she doesnt't summon too many of them and also doesn't do that if you kill all of them (which you should do). I died at least twice before I decided to stock up on some potions and come back. - The final boss in the House of Sorrows storyline is pretty much the same as the previous one. He has the same lethal attack, but that's pretty much it. Other than that, he's a joke. You can also kill him pretty quickly while in Reckoning mode, but I didn't know about this until recently. - The final boss in Scholia Arcana is the worst of all. Not only is she a spellcaster, but she also summons weaker monsters and also posseses the students in there. It's possible to kill her when using Reckoning mode at the beginning, but you need to know how. I avoided death, but it was a close call. - The final boss in The Legend of Dead Kel DLC was surprisingly a really good challenge. I didn't die, but I had to reload my save, in order to come up with a strategy. You can't just unleash Reckoning mode immediately and hope for the best as the boss teleports occasionally and also calls reinforcements. Not to mention, he can trap you for a while if you're not careful. - The final boss in the Teeth of Naros DLC is not too hard to fight on, until the 2nd half where his lightning attack is very lethal. If you get hit once, it'll drain more than half of your health, and it's most likely over if you get hit again. After dying twice, I figured that to kill him faster, I had to use Reckoning mode twice after that point. It worked in the end. Also, a sidenote. The first time I did this battle on the original, I defeated him without trouble, but it still was a good challenge, even on Casual mode. Overall, it was fun to experience this game once again after so many years. I also managed to be slightly faster compared to the original. It took me 75 hours to platinum the remastered version (DLCs included), compared to the original where platinum took me 80 hours to achieve (+8 hours for the DLCs so 88 hours in total for the 100%). I could've been faster for the remastered if I hadn't cleared the entire game on Hard, but it doesn't matter to me that much. Besides, I like a good challenge. I also planned to post a certain song here to celebrate this, but I'll do that for the next platinum as it feels much better to be used in that. So, I currently have 99 platinums. To be honest, I never expected to collect this much as I planned to collect about 80-90 platinums when I started doing this. Of course, the more games I discovered, the more platinums I collected. But what about the 100th one? As much as I would like to reveal it, I won't. However, I can say that I want it to be special. Meaning that it can't be too easy, as this milestone can only be done once. I've been doing a lot of easy/medium platinums, so I decided that I would challenge myself. There's a certain game I bought for the PS3 years ago, so I think I'm now ready for it. Before I begin to work on that milestone, I'm going to take some time off from platinum hunting, and focusing on other projects. I need to prepare myself for the next one if I am to succeed. It also doesn't matter how long it takes. I'm taking my time with it. In the meantime, I think I'll start playing some Genshin Impact. Finally, I'm temporarily hiding my trophies so that it will be a secret. Edited November 14, 2020 by MrGarland
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#130 - Shadow of the Tomb Raider "Chalice of Torment" Earn all Trophies Got this one in before AC: Valhalla and the PS5, haha! Tomb Raider is a series that has been with me since I was a kid... my Dad used to play them with us on the PS1 and the PC back in the day. While not the strongest entry in the 'reboot series', Shadow is a great experience, and well worth a play for fans of the modern action-adventure genre (see: Uncharted). The setting of Shadow is dope - always loved South American history and myths - and it's integrated into the story well. Some environments (a certain mid-game 'hub' in particular) are very well-designed, and are fun to explore. Graphics look amazing in parts, and merely 'okay' in others, but it's certainly not an ugly game! The story has a few plot holes imho, but it's pretty par-for-the-course as far as these games go haha. Combat is good, but not great; melee hit detection is spotty at best, and the physics of enemies getting shot with certain guns is plain weird. Music is fitting, but not particularly memorable; sound and voice for many characters being about the same. The highlight for me was the 'tomb raiding' aspects (shocker, I know!). Main-game tombs aren't too difficult, but have interesting settings and are well-designed environmentally. DLC tombs, with 1 or 2 exceptions, are all amazing and well worth it. Puzzles aren't too complicated, but are still satisfying; and the environments, again, are great. Some story missions have 'tomb-like' aspects, and I loved these ones in particular. Trophies are all pretty chill; only annoying one requires you to play through on the 'very hard' difficulty setting. I say 'annoying' because there are no checkpoints except for campfires, so going for tricky platforming sections and exploring for collectibles would be quite frustrating if you picked this for a 1st play through. I chose to play on 'hard' for my 1st / 100% run, and then did my 2nd 8ish hr run on 'deadly obsession' (which actually wasn't that bad with all the upgrades, etc.). Not much else to say... if you've played and enjoyed the other recent Tomb Raider titles, I can say that you'll very likely enjoy this one too. Action-adventure fans will have a blast too. It's certainly no Uncharted 4 (in terms of production value, scale, and overall quality), but it's no slouch either. Popular Post coldhardcrash_
#45 MediEvil What a brilliant game! Can't believe I slept on this back in the PS1 days, had so much fun getting this Platinum. Besides the odd wonky camera at times, I enjoyed every little bit this game had to offer. Highly recommend if you haven't played this yet! Here's hoping the sequel gets a remake! Popular Post DarkSamurai69
#315 Ghost of Tsushima Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 An excellent blend of combat, story, exploration, sound, and everything in between. A fine game with awesome duels to relaxing in a hot spring or writing down a haiku. The only issue I had which is prevalent in open-world games are that there are too many of the same activities like the fox dens. A minor gripe for me but nothing more. Finally a game befitting my PSN name minus the number. #316 Rocket League Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 This game went free to play a month or so ago and I missed out on it when it went free on PS Plus a few years ago. I'm glad I got the chance to play this. It is definitely better to play this with a friend. Even after getting the platinum, I still go back and play it 4-5 times a week. Who knew scoring goals with cars can be so fun and addicting. #317 Need for Speed Payback Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 I don't play many racing games but this went free last month so I gave it a shot. The racing felt good but the story and the voice acting was atrocious. Not that I was expecting much in that department. The drift events is what bumped up the difficulty for me but it wasn't too bad overall.
Popular Post Lorajet
Plat #51: Late Shift Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Ever have a game that you were sad because it came to an end? Definitely this one. Loved it! Actors were enjoyable, graphics were awesome. Even playing through the story numerous times didn't bother me.
