Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #112 Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory After Kingdom Hearts III we get a new KH, and now it is a rhythm game celebrating the series (amazing) soundtrack, along with a recap of everything that happened and a glimpse of what comes next. The gameplay is really enjoyable. It is pretty different from others games of the genre that I played before. The Kingdom Hearts soundtrack is very good, and even though the game is not very hard, that are some challenging songs here and there. I spent more than the 50 hours on the guide because of my obsession with getting full chains, and not even once I felt tired of sick of the game. The platinum is very straightforward. The 50 full chains on proud songs and finishing all songs on proud may sound hard, but in reality it is not. I think that if they asked for 75 or even 100 full chains the platinum rate would not even change much. Some songs you will need to retry a few times until you "understand" a part, but on the majority you will get the full chain on less than 5 tries after you play the game for a while. Just clearing is even easier since you can use items to heal HP. Another thing that makes this not too challenging is the fact that the songs are short. Aside from some memory dives most songs are under 3 minutes, and others even feel like under 2 minutes. COM Battles are a bit annoying though. When on platinum rank you will always be under the effect of pretty annoying tricks on the most crucial parts of the song. And since they are always on proud, you will miss and end up losing, having to retry. And to makes things worse the computer almost always hit rainbow excellents, so you have to step up your game too. I would say KH: MoM is a very enjoyable game. Actually even after two years I was still bitter about how KH III went. The game is far from bad, but maybe I had too high expectations and ended up frustrated. Playing this and listening to the soundtrack made me remember how much I like the franchise, and I am even feeling a bit anxious about the next entry. Let's hope it does not take too long this time. If you are a fan of the series do not skip this.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#552 - Marvel's Spider-Man Good, but not great. Personally I feel this game is extremely overrated. It looks great and animations are good as well. The story is just alright, combat is fun initially, but becomes kind of boring after a while. It feels like this one was a 3 hour game, that got padded into oblivion to make it last longer. MJ and Miles missions may just as well not have been in the game and it wouldn't have made a difference. Wasn't the biggest fan of the gameplay loop, with fight 20 enemies, next location fight another 20 enemies. It's still a good game, but I really did not expect it to lack substance. Also, excessive amount of crimes to grind out for the 100%. Would have been more than enough to just put half the amount in the game. Popular Post kkulifay
Assassin’s Creed Unity Time: 55 hrs I really enjoyed getting immersed in Paris. The co-op missions surprised me in terms of how much fun they were. The MP community is very friendly and still active. The game features only one DLC, which is free, so nice little bonus. Getting all the objectives in all of the missions wasn’t too bad because you didn’t have to do it all in one run. If you’re patient and stealthy, most of them are fairly attainable in your first play through. The only frustrations I had were with the 400 collectibles (294 chests, most are red so require high level lock picking, and 128 cockades). Now, I don’t mind scavenger hunt trophies, but these weren’t very fulfilling and actually made me burnt out towards the end. Along with the riddles you have to solve (thank goodness there was a guide out there for those locations), those aspects started to deteriorate the overall enjoyment I had towards getting the platinum. Don’t let that deter you from playing it, just keep that in mind when you embark on your adventure. I enjoyed the environments and storyline in Black Flag more (the only other AC platinum I’ve earned). But doing the solo Wolfpack missions over and over and over again until level 55 made me burnt out on that game too. I’m not complaining again about the grind, I respect it. Just want players to have the mindset going in if they are new to the AC series, like me. Hell, it’s not going to stop me going for the platinums in Valhalla, Origins, and Odyssey. I just came to the realization that it’s a marathon and not a race with these games. You need to stop enjoy the roses, so maybe mixing the collectibles with the side quests or something totally unrelated to scavenging might make you enjoy it more. At least that’s what I’m going to do with Ubisoft games going forward.

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #96 - Plague Inc: Evolved Fully Evolved - Unlock all other Trophies 13,895 Owners - 1,057 Achievers for a percentage of 7.60% (average completion; 23.67%) Enjoyment; 3/10 (7 w/o glitches) Difficulty; 4/10 Trophies; 4/10 (heavy RNG) EZ Neurax wins; 10/10 If someone asks you what the most important element of a game is, I reckon most would answer with 'gameplay'. Others might say 'graphics', or 'fun factor', or even 'how quick I can Plat this thing and move on'. I would have answered 'gameplay', personally. Before playing Plague Inc: Evolved on PS5, that is. Now, my answer is 'a reliable save system'. This game has serious issues with saving; corruption, being unable to load, and all of it at random. Despite releasing five years ago and having received multiple patches, getting your progress properly stored is still a total crapshoot. I was on pace to hit the top 10 quickest Plat achievers for this one (spot #6 most likely at 2 days and 12 hours), until it turned out that the saves I had made earlier in the day to pop Trophies late at night (I enjoy manipulating my 'Trophies by time' stat) were unusable, at which point I angrily went to bed and unlocked the last two plus the Plat this morning by replaying the RNG-heavy scenarios involved. This is the SECOND time in just over two months wherein developers' incompetence locks me out of a nice high spot on the leaderboard; the same thing happened thanks to Just Cause 4 DLC shenanigans. It doesn't help that the DLC scenarios that Plague Inc received as DLC over the years are required for the Platinum, which unnecessarily tacks on another hour or two (or more) depending on how good you are. I'd happily have played them anyway, but including them in the Plat is a bit unfair when early adopters didn't have to tackle these challenges - some of them are among the hardest content in the game. Plague Inc's premise is simple, its gameplay is addictive; you are in control of one of a number of types of deadly diseases (be that bacteria, a virus, or even mind-control worms) that you need to kill/enslave the entire human race with. Bear in mind that this game was released well before the current pandemic - I can't imagine how bad the publicity would have been had it come out now. By investing points you earn by infecting and slaughtering into the right branches of your skill trees, you can develop silent and deadly killers that will knock humanity out in no time flat. Games can go as quickly or as slowly as you want thanks to comprehensive control of how your little creation evolves, while random events make each bout unique. I enjoyed this PC port in terms of controls, which were intuitive enough even when compared to other good strategy ports like Tropico 5, but the save issues just completely killed this one for me. You can't imagine how frustrating it is to navigate Plague Inc's insane RNG to save just before the moment suprême, only for the game to decide that, no, all your efforts have been in vain. Half the time it doesn't even have the decency to tell you; loading corrupted saves (which have no outward indicator that they are corrupt) will simply have you waiting endlessly, where normally my PS5 would have one loaded in a second. And with how RNG-heavy the Trophies in this game are, I'm genuinely disappointed. Things like Film Fanatic, Not Another Zombie Game, and Plague in Space require insane amounts of planning, precise timing, and barrels of luck, so to get slapped with an error entirely outside of your control (beyond, y'know, just not saving at all) is the most deflated I have felt thanks to a game in a good, long while. It's no wonder the completion percentage on this one is so low - I can imagine most people just gave up after the third or fourth time their saves were gutted. It's a shame, because I would have recommended Plague Inc: Evolved if not for the save issue. As it stands though, steer well clear of this one - or just play it on PC, where I hear there is no problem at all. Prepare you ports with care, people!

AgentSmiz
Platinum 126 - Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunt Or just Carnivores as it's known on the trophy system. Picked it up on a whim after going back through new releases in the store. Seeing the word "Dinosaur" set off the part of my brain that's still mentally 6 years old. Game wise, it's alright/ Feels very mid 2000's which, considering it's a remaster of a game from that era, makes a lot of sense. Not the best dino game I've played but nowhere near the worst either. Trophy list is easy enough and I did enjoy the hunting mechanic but the game left me wanting more. More dinosaurs, environments, weapons - the whole lot. Also, not a fan of how much of a jobber dinosaur Stegosaurus is made to be. It's the first dinosaur you can hunt and it's basically treated like a spiky cow. Goes down often in a single shot and never fights back. Plus, you have to hunt loads of them in the beginning of the game in order to earn enough points to get better equipment. Meanwhile, a Triceratops will run halfway across the map to kill you just because you looked at it funny. Overall, it's a 6/10 game. Good as a time sink to unwind but the level of disrespect for my dino boy Stego is too much.

Popular Post Carol
#219 Gris Personal growth Collect all trophies "Gris" is a beautiful game and very artistic in its presentation. The story is told in a very subtle way, so it's open to interpretation. The protagonist is definitely trying to deal with traumatic and painful experiences from her past and with all the negative emotions that hold her back. I think the message from this game is that, once you face and overcome the trauma and pain from your past, you can use those bad things that happened to you as a learning experience and to become the best version of yourself possible. By the end of the game, Gris is a much stronger woman. Trophy-wise, this is an easy platinum, although some collectibles and challenges can be a bit annoying. It's a game that's probably best enjoyed without caring much about trophies, at least in a first playthrough.

Popular Post madbuk
#429 - Ghostrunner As a huge Mirror's Edge fan, I have had interest in this game since it was announced but the emphasis on combat was a little off putting, so I never ended up buying it. Thanks to PS Now I have had the opportunity to play it for "free", and I regret being so hesitant. Yes, there's a lot of combat in this, it all feeds directly into the platforming, because the way combat works is you die in one hit, and enemies die in one hit, and you have to platform your way to them to attack whilst also dodging their attacks and it works extremely well. It's a very short game, which is a bit of a shame considering how good it is, but at least it doesn't overstay its welcome. The controls did feel a little looser than Mirror's Edge and I'm not sure I'm a fan of that, but when you get used to it it's not a huge problem. The story isn't anything special, but I wasn't playing this for the narrative anyway so it didn't bother me. The environments are all very stylish and a joy to run through. Overall, while this doesn't top Mirror's Edge for me personally, it's still a fantastic game in a criminally underused genre and I can definitely recommend it. I'll probably stack it at some point during a decent sale.
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #281: Valfaris Difficulty: 6/10 Excitement Rating: 8.5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 10 - 12 Hours Hardest Trophy: Speed King ( Complete the game in under 2 hours ) A beautifully crafted game with challenge and an awesome metal infused soundtrack. From the makers of Slain: Back From Hell, Valfaris is an old school shooter platformer that doesn't hold your hand. While it carries many of the modern conveniences of today's gaming, such as finely tuned game mechanics, it doesn't give players too much leeway in being easy, because it's not. I've talked about this game at length in my status update so I'll keep this one short. The atmosphere, the music, the awesome 16-bit graphics and a nice assortment of enemies kept me hooked. I was frustrated with this game, because it is difficult. Until you know the areas and how to deal with enemies, you will die a LOT. The trophy for dying a number of times is indication you will be dying a great deal. Regular enemies will get the better of you and will kill you rather quickly, so this game is sort of a Dark Souls affair. For every death, I slowly learned how to overcome a particular section. When a boss killed me a dozen times, I used different tactics. Valfaris encourages you to learn, and thus you must put in the work to earn this platinum. Valfaris borrows a lot from Slain: Back From Hell, as many of the same styles are seen here. This game places well located checkpoints so whenever you die you will respawn at that checkpoint. Gameplay is similar to Slain, but a much greater emphasis is put on the gunplay. Instead of just a sword and usage of magic, you have a primary gun, a melee weapon, a shield, and a secondary gun that uses up energy. The secondary weapons are far more powerful, but only have limited uses before you must regain energy. You gain energy by killing enemies with your melee weapon and by killing a boss. The platforming is just as difficult as it was in Slain. There are many places to die, so if you struggled getting thru Slain, you can expect the same here in Valfaris. This game is never unfair, as it encourages the player to learn from their mistakes. The mechanics were well designed and the platforming can be a bit tight. Valfaris is a beautiful title that is as deadly as it looks. The graphic designers did a spectacular job with the visuals, I give them lots of props. Last but not least, you have to speedrun thru the game if you want the platinum. Like with Slain, you can use the cloud save/USB save exploit to bypass much of the pressure of beating this game while dying less than 10 times. This is likely due to a majority of enemies using projectiles and guns. Valfaris was a very fun game and if you enjoyed Slain: Back From Hell, you ought to play this. I don't agree with the regular pricetag on the PS Store, so I decided to wait for a discount to pick this up. A thrilling experience that felt good from start to finish. The only Utawarerumono that I yet to see the anime adaptation of(since it's not made yet and was announced back in late 2019). Some of the CGs I liked(well one of each of the Waifus and one of the first MC of the series) Spoiler Anju then she gets Karulau's sword: my favorite CG in the 3rd game and been my Title Screen ever since I unlocked it along with the same ost I used as the Title Screen ost for the 1st game!(too bad the 2nd game don't have it) Nekone laying down on Oshtor(Haku). Hakuoro(The MC of the first game and Kuon's biological father). Most used Characters(mostly the same as Mask of Deception so only the newcomers is showed) Spoiler Anju Fumirul Mikazuchi(I did not think he was going to be a playable character in the final parts of the game) #205 Samurai Shodown: NeoGeo Collection August 4th 2021 A Collection of the first 5 games in the series(plus two other versions of the 5th game). My first time into the Samurai Shodown series was with the Samurai Shodown Anthology on PS2(instead of having Samurai Shodown V Special it had Samurai Shodown VI) Back then I was no good at Samurai Shodown(never did beat any of the games's final bosses) Now I was able to defeat those bosses with at least the trophy related characters. For the ones that you have pick one of the characters listed on the trophies, my order was like this II: Cham Cham V: Mina(highest difficulty setting) and Rera V Special: Gaoh #206 Fighting EX Layer August 5th 2021 A spin-off to Street Fighter EX series(with only the EX characters btw). Mostly only got it due to Hokuto. fun fighting game, so it would be interesting to see it grow into a series.

In multi tasking your worst enemy will be your teammates because they can steal your kills and it's annoying, don't believe what the guide of the game says about not killing the milennium falcon , always go for that ship because it's slow and for the size it can absorb so much of your damage, just be patience because the campaing it's bad but easy too. buy this game or atleast at 8 dollars, EA doesn't deserve much. Popular Post Omelette Paradise
#498 - Ultra Mission If you're not familiar with this one, it's an arcade shooter and one of the final 6 Vita titles released before Sony's deadline for new games to be submitted on the Vita store. Because it was released on a stricter deadline, the game has unpolished, almost unfinished feel to it. The controls feel rather slippery (I recommend using the D-pad which makes things a bit better) and the collision detection also feels a bit off as well. One thing to be aware of if you do grab the game - the score trophies are glitched without the patch released by the devs so be sure to install that before you start. Regardless, there's no way I wasn't going to grab this game having read the platinum trophy description and I couldn't agree with it more: "It has been an awesome decade with our beloved handheld.
