Popular Post whodeygamer
#18: Undertale I had been hoping that this game would be brought to PS Now because I already own both the Switch and Steam versions, and thankfully it happened this month! Because of my previous experience with this indie masterpiece and because of the insanely easy trophy list, I decided to make sure that this game would be my fastest platinum, and that no other game I decide to play in the future would potentially pass it up. It certainly wasn’t one of the fastest times on the site by any means, but I’m still happy with it regardless. I’m glad to have a game as brilliant as this be represented on my trophy milestones.
TheArcadeKid
#223 - Spartan I feel like I could write an essay on this game. Not because it's especially deep (it isn't) and not because it's especially brilliant (it isn't), but because I had to spend so damn long playing it. This is a 2D side-scrolling platformer, and it's basically one giant collect-a-thon. Grab 5 "artefacts" in every level and find the exit to beat it. Platinum hunters will also have to hunt down every single coin in every single level, and there's a lot of them. I spent something like 25 hours on this, which is an insane amount of time for this kind of game. With 25 levels in total, that's roughly one whole hour per level. I literally had to plan my gaming sessions around this damn game. As for the game itself, my feelings are very much like/dislike. It was presumably made by a small and inexperienced team, and it shows pretty much everywhere. On the other hand, nothing here is fundamentally broken (although plenty of stuff comes close, like roaming enemies you can neither kill nor evade), and there are extended periods of platforming excellence. Even searching for all the coins becomes fun when you know what you're up against. The game allows unlimited deaths on the lowest difficulty setting (which won't lock you out of the plat), which means the biggest challenge here is devoting enough time and patience to get through it. So I'm glad I played it, but I'm gladder it's over. It's one of my rarer platinums for a while, and I think I picked it up for £0.79, so I really can't complain too much. I don't think I could recommend it to anyone else though, given the wildly excessive time commitment.

Grind Difficulty: 8/10. Platinum Time: 1 week and 6 days. I had so much fun going back to the land of San Andreas. The smell of the Number Range of foods, Ballas, Grove Street Boys and so on. It went off to a great start on Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The uncertainty of many undiscovered mysterious I have found throughout the entire open world game. I have been batting all over the placed from leaping to leaping places I wanna go to. I was surprised that this game had many and MANY undiscovered secrets that even I don't know of. I mean what do you expect? You would be drowning and soiling yourself watching many videos relating to San Andreas. I had to upgrade pretty much everything such as Health, Armor, Stamina, Biking etc. I chose Millie Perkins as my girlfriend and waste her ass at her home place in Las Venturas. Wearing the gimp suit made me like a man-whore strap up with many belts and other deadly weapons. I had to pump up and make my muscles look sexy as a six pack chest. I had to withstand as many damages as I can until the very end and kill Officer Frank Tenpenny. I've said quite enough and made a strong impact to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Platinum Trophy! Spoiler Gambling at the Dragon's Casino in Las Venturas! Spoiler Slaying 4,000 Kills here in Los Santos! Spoiler Highly and strongly recommended this game. Next Platinum: ??? Popular Post Viscera1900
#313 - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Masters of the Multiverse "Collect All Trophies" Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Completion time: 10 hours ( in game) / 4 days, 5 hours (PSNP) Ever since Demon's Souls Remake & Astro's Playroom; I wanted play more PS5 exclusive titles instead of simple Remasters / Next Gen upgrades. After hearing so many praises for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart ; I had to try it myself immediately. I don't regret getting this game this early on while the price for this game is still very high; Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is immensely enjoyable game to play that utilizes the power of PS5 for its gameplay smoothess: 60 FPS, Ray Tracing / 60, FPS, 4K resolution / 40 FPS, Ray tracing, 4K resolution & improved lightning. The game also utilizes DualSense controller's features although not as heavily as Astro's Playroom, but it's something that enhances the experience for this game. Personally I played the game on 60 FPS with Ray tracing and it's really gorgeous looking game that plays smoothly! Trophy wise it's really easy list and takes about 10-12 hours to complete which is really short game, but atleast it doesn't overstate its welcome.

This is all I had to say when I got the platinum the first time in Mass Effect 2. LOL. #353 Since I didn't say a whole lot when I got the platinum in the PS3 version in 2012, I'll give my thoughts now. I remember when it was announced that Mass Effect 2 was coming to PS3. I am not usually into Rpg games but the Mass Effect games are different. I consider this one of my favorite games from the PS3 era. The whole universe, lore, story, characters are all top notch. Commander Sheperd is one of my favorite protagonist in any game. The Normandy is so awesome to travel in and got to love Joker as the pilot. Fast forward we finally got the Legendary Edition of all 3 Mass Effect games. I was finally going to play the first game. I skipped it on PS3 and was going to replay 2&3. Even though I am happy to get to play 3 again it doesn't compare to 2 to me. I think Mass Effect 2 is the pinnacle of the series. As I was replaying it over the last week, I was reminded so much why I love this game. The characters, the combat, the story. I even did some of the side missions I hadn't done in the PS3 game. Getting to play the first game this time around I understood some of the things in 2 better. Surprisingly after 10 years since first playing it through the first time and 9 years since I got the plat, I remembered quite a bit of the game.
Popular Post MissShake
#66: VA-11 Hall-A Jill of all trades Get all achievements One of my friends told me to play this game a loooooooong time ago, and I started it back in 2019. But for some reason I just never came back to it after my first in-game day. I'm glad I came back to it, what a cozy game! I really liked the characters in this one, my favorites were Alma and Sella! The game has an interesting mechanic to it too, it's pretty cool that there's a bit of spice to the typical VN flair. Too bad that the mini game you have to beat for the plat is such shit, what is it with cozy games like this and Stardew having really annoying mini games in them?

I might... at some point, give Bloodborne a try.. I got it free on plus years ago but never played it. hard pass on any of the dark souls games tho lol I'd be willing to give Sekiro a try tho, just because its so visually different from the dark, dungeon themes of the other games
Guest
Shadow of the Colossus (PS3 version) Game Enjoyment: 10/10 Platinum Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 8/10 Platinum Completion Percentage: 2.49% The hardest platinum I've (probably) ever done, and one of the greatest games of all time, has one of the most brutal trophy lists imaginable mainly due to its fucked up physics. Pros: -Even though the game is nearly 90 years old, the mysterious essence of its world is still unmatched. -It has the greatest orchestrated soundtrack and boss music of all time, fight me. -Nearly each individual colossus is unique in the way you need to kill it, and every boss is some level of amazing. -That initial feeling you get when you see the first colossus, and even the size of the last colossus, for the first time is breathtaking. -The story, while simple on the surface, is beautifully told. -Most trophies are fine and completely doable, but... Cons: -Fuuuuuuck the hard time trials, and if you've played them you know exactly which one I mean. Apparently the PS2 version was much easier in the time trial department, but whoever did the PS3 remaster completely fucked up the collision physics. This means Wander is constantly tripping over fucking air, bouncing everywhere, and losing his fucking balance while trying to stab. While playing casually this is fine because you have your entire fucking life to finish the bosses at your own pace. These fucked physics make the time trials absolutely brutal. Most time trials you're relatively safe with the time, but with colossus #4, #15, and ESPECIALLY #3 it completely fucks you. -The collectibles in this game (say it with me) absolutely suck. I had to collect the 77 lizards twice: The first time I fucked up and didn't realize you had to kill the actual lizard and not just eat the tail, and then the second time on a new playthrough because I guess the lizards don't respawn once you take their tail (or at least I couldn't find them). To make this worse, they don't show all of the lizards on the map at once (after you unlock the lizard map), they only show the ones that are relatively close to you; and of course there's no in-game tracker of any kind so you're fundamentally fucked if you miss one like I did. The fruit on the other hand shows up fully on the map so it's easy to track, but the big downside to this collectible is after you shoot them down they like to randomly glitch into the ground and you basically have to either kneel down and hope you find them or just ride away and come back. Either way, and as always with open world games, they're unbelievably tedious and I'm incredibly thankful for not only the video guide I followed step by step, but that the PS4 remake didn't have these collectibles as trophies. -Maxing out the health and stamina bar is also a bit tedious, even outside of the collectibles that boost them. This (as most things were) was made better in the PS4 remake since you could do new game+ and not only carry over items from the time attacks, but also change difficulty at the beginning of the new playthrough which made it all less tedious. In this version, you have to do at least 4 normal playthroughs (minimum) and collect all of the lizard tails at least once, one run through of normal time attack (which is fundamentally another playthrough without riding agro), a hard mode playthrough, and then hard time trials (again, basically another playthrough but longer because it's insanely hard). This equates to a minimum of 7 playthroughs, if you count time trials, which is a bit fucking much; even if it's relatively short and one of the best games ever made. What annoys me about this, and I blame my past self for this, is that I apparently had 4 initial playthroughs from years ago, before trophy hunting ruined my life, that I separated into 4 completely different playthroughs; aka, not new game+. If only past me knew future me would've saved like 20 fucking hours of my life. -Colossus #7 scares the shit out of me in this version and taught me I have some version of thalassophobia. TL;DR: One of the greatest games of all time. PS3 version is the worst version. Play the original version or PS4 remake to actually enjoy the entire package. Popular Post Viper
#243 Mass Effect - Remastered N7 Elite Not much to say about this one that people don't already know and hasn't been said a million times over the years. Played as Male Shep/Solider/Paragon/Romanced Liara (was going to do Ashley to change it up, but...bitch is so racist!). It was an absolute blast getting to replay this, it was my favorite of the trilogy because I just love how well put together the lore is...it's almost like, regardless of it being Sci-Fi, BioWare knew something we didn't and tried to make a game about the future of humanity....right down to the codex pages telling you how the smallest thing actually works, and no matter how much of it might be total bullshit and complete pseudo-science, it makes sense. Nothing ever feels forced in this game...like most science fiction really tries too hard to make you believe the world you're viewing is lived in...but this series always felt so authentic, every race has it's place in the galaxy, has a timeline that meshes well with everyone else, every character is interesting and feels like they've been through their fair share of life. However, maybe it's just time that's playing with my head here...but I'm not sure just how significant the QoL improvements are on the gameplay front. Because, to me, early on the shooting mechanics still feel as janky as I remember...once you level up something a lot (I focused on Pistols mainly) and you gain those accuracy points it feels much much better, but before that it's just wild eyed as I remember. And maybe I just don't remember the Mako at all...but some of the planets are still mind numbing to traverse through...mostly the heavy mountain range ones where the Mako just feels like it has no power to get up something it should be able to climb and the thrusters do absolutely nothing to give you any forward momentum...I guess I was expecting them to modernize it more, and that's not really what they did. Started on my NG+ Insanity/Renegade run. I plan to earn the Insanity III trophy legit as ME2 on insanity is a playthrough I need to prove something to myself on. But won't be playing ME2 right away.

Popular Post arcanehornet_
Platinum #355: Mortal Shell (PS5) This is an excellent Action RPG that I can easily recommend to all Dark Souls fans. It features great level design, amazing Souls gameplay, and a challenging, yet very satisfying Platinum. This game was the most surprising game I've played this year. Being a budget indie title, I was not expecting much. But despite my expectations, this game is a love letter to Souls fans, from Souls fans. It brings a lot of things I really liked from those games into a different format. Story: Honestly nothing really to write home about. Like the Souls games the lore is mostly hidden in item descriptions and whatnot. The basic plot is that you must collect 3 glands for the prisoner found in Fallgrim Tower by defeating the 3 main bosses. Design: Really amazing. The central area is Fallgrim Tower, and everything basically converges from there. Since every new area can be accessed from this location, running back to upgrade weapons and such doesn't take long. The enemy design is really cool, although I would have liked to see a bit more variety. The small amount of different enemies leads to a few instances of an enemy type being copy pasted in a single location. The boss dungeons themselves are really well designed, and pretty much all of them reflect how the boss of that dungeon will be like. For example, the ice dungeon has an ice-based boss at the end. I reallly liked the bosses as well, but I found them a little too easy. Gameplay: Now this where it gets really good. The main 'gimmick' of the game is the Shell system. Shells are basically pre-made builds with their own stats that you can find in the world and inhabit. All of them can be found in the first area of the game (Fallgrim) and provide wildly different playing styles. There's your basic knight with moderate health and stamina, a Scholar type character which is similar to Knight but has different skills, a Thief character with an insane amount of stamina, and the tank with a huge health bar. You can switch between them at any time basically. My favourite was the tank, as it allowed for a bit more room for error with the bosses. If you die while in a shell, you will get thrown out of the shell and be in a super vulnerable form. You can retrieve the shell once normally if you get thrown out. It's like a spin on Sekiro's revival system. The other 'gimmick' is the harden mechanic. With a press of a button you can turn to stone and be immune to any damage before an enemy breaks it. This was a bit hard to get used to, but once I integrated it into my moveset it made the game a lot more fun and easier as well. Platinum: Basically your usual Souls fare. Finish the game, beat all bosses, plus some collectibles and miscellaneous trophies sprinkled in. The hardest and most interesting trophy however is the "Forever Alone' trophy for beating the game without ever using a shell. If you're playing without a shell, you die in a single hit from any attack, with no way to increase your health. In turn, you get basically infinite stamina and better invinciblity frames as well. Thankfully, you can upgrade your weapon to max pretty early, and you can ignore all enemies besides the mandatory bosses. A few of the bosses took me hours to beat, simply because you need to pull off a perfect no hit run. When I finally finished it, it felt amazing. VERDICT: If you like the Souls games, give this one a shot. For the price and the fact that it's an indie game it provides a lot of fun and content. Definitely one of the best games I've played this year. Popular Post Gommes_
#135 Haven Haven This one sparked my interest as soon as I saw it in a random YouTube video and I was not disappointed. You play as Yu and Kay, two lovers who fled from their home planet to escape their determined life. The way how the graphics are rendered reminded me of Breath Of The Wild or Gravity Rush and they are beautiful to look at even though the graphics are pretty minimalistic. The gameplay is rather simple as you have to fly from island to island and clean them from rust, fight enemies and explore ancient buildings. The core element of the game however are the conversations and the chemistry between the two main characters. I think I’ve never seen a couple portrayed that good in any video game. The writers did an excellent job of giving them comprehensible character traits and you as the player follow their every day routine involving doing chores, talking, fighting, having sex, making fun of each other etc. These two people draw you into the game and combined with the phenomenal soundtrack (I can't stress that enough) and the Sci-Fi-World The Game Bakers created a fantastic game everybody should check out! Talking about the downsides, you have some mechanics which are poorly explained and the loading times are way too frequent and long. At least on the PS4. Looking at videos of the PS5 version it is not that big of a deal. Anyway, it was an outstanding experience for me and I recommend this game to anyone who is only slightly interested in a story of believable characters. Popular Post slender_adrian
#73 Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 Rarity: 9.04% Very Rare Time: 20 Hours "Let's go all the way to Hell" I am going to be honest, I hate this game, this is not a bad DMC it's also a bad game in my opinion, but hey it did his job it kept me busy for 3 days, I'm not the kind of person that hates on games and it's not fair to be harsh on this game because if it wasn't for this game the DMC series wouldn't become in what we know today. This game literally don't make any sense, one moment you are in a island and suddenly you are fighting 3 tanks and one heli, I didn't like the bosses at all (with one or two exceptions), they feel they are there just to fight something, and the main bad guy its just pathetic, the combat is really bad, it felt so simplified and repetitive at every time, and Lucia.... yep makes no sense, I really liked being able to play as Trish (costume), she has better moves like both Dante and Lucia in my opinion. To make this short, this is really bad! Getting most of the trophies for this game is incredibly easy, the game is really easy on every difficulty level but there's one trophy in particular that's a real pain to get, Over 9000! trophy requires you to reach floor 9000 on this arena type mode, this mode isn't extremely difficult if you go well prepared, but you are going to be playing non stop for about 5 hours, yep it took me almost 6 hours to reach floor 9000, depending which version of the game you have you may use infinite devil trigger cheat (which makes getting this trophy a joke basically) but in my case I had to go old fashion. I did 50 "waves" in a row in about 3 hours and I only took a 30 minutes break, I wanted so bad to be done with this game haha. This may take more or less time depending on your skill, so like I suck in games I was there for a while haha, I can rest in peace knowing this is over! Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
#50 - Vanquish Difficulty - 7/10 Enjoyment - 7/10 This one's been a long time coming. I've known for the last ten or more plats that I was going to do Vanquish as my 50th since I was put to the task by @CelestialRequiem. I did Vanquish on my other account on PS3 years ago and at one time or another I knew it would be on this one too since it's such an amazing game. When I was first playing it again for the first time in years it hit me how much of a real game this is. It's exciting, entertaining, well-made, and it's held up for over a decade as being a top-of-the-line shooter. In a weird way, one of the things I didn't love about it was that the experience of going for the platinum was over before I knew it. On PS3 I think I spent like a little over 2 weeks with the game, but this time it was less than three days. I've been excited to reach the 50 platinum milestone and I'll enjoy having this on my profile as that milestone forever. As for the game's difficulty, it is singularly found in Tactical Challenge 6. That being said, I think its being given ratings of 8/10 or 9/10 as the guide has it, is not right. To me, an 8/10 is a very serious task that needs a kind of dedication and focus that Vanquish just does not require for its platinum. That isn't to say it's terribly overblown, because that's not true; it is more difficult than most games, but that's why it's where it is for me at a 7. It's splitting hairs and everyone's metrics for difficulty are different I guess, but my fear is that seeing a 9/10 on the official guide, and I would strongly urge the guide writers to reevaluate that difficulty score, leads more people away from the game than should be turned away due to expected challenge. It is hard, but it is fair and asks that you spend a day or two with one particular thing, and really that's about it for the difficulty. Please try this game some time.
