Popular Post LoStraniero91
#350: Max Payne 3 Platinum Trophy Unlock All Max Payne 3 Trophies I believe this platinum needs no real introduction nor explaining, as the whole community is now in a rush to complete multiplayer before server closure. Still, one of the best third person shooter I've ever played, with plenty of enjoyment and a gritty story. The multiplayer level 50 can be grinded even solo, so it's not a big deal! The "platinum killer" is the infamous "The Shadows Rushed Me" trophy: you need to complete a mode called "New York City Hardcore", that means finishing the whole game with no checkpoints and under a time limit. Bugs, screw-ups and freezes are always lurking around the corner. Can't say it's my produest platinum, but I loved every bits of it! Popular Post Redgrave
#217: Conqueror - Far Cry: New Dawn I figured I would play this since I played Far Cry 5 but I knew it was much shorter so I waited for it to go on sale. I also heard it wasn't very great and while there are some things about it that aren't great like it recycling content and not being very long I didn't think it was too bad but certainly doesn't justify the initial price they were asking for. I do wish it were longer since I feel like it did well in continuing off where Far Cry 5 ended but I guess they didn't intend it to be long or just couldn't for whatever reason. I liked it for what it was but I do think it would have been a lot better if it were a more fleshed out game.
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #87 - Borderlands 2 (+100% ✅)Difficulty Rating 4/10 Enjoyment Rating 6/10 Ultra Rare - 2.23% Well, you shoot and you loot. Then you shoot and loot some more. After that, you do some more shooting and looting. Yes, that’s Borderlands for ya ? It’s a looter shooter. I must say that the sequel is on major improvement over the first game. More weapons, more classes and more awesome abilities to go with them. Even now there is a villain who is out to make everyone on Pandora absolutely miserable. The in-game world has many more locales and campaigns to experience (DLC included). But let me tell ya, there is only so much Borderlands one can take before the brain goes completely numb ? Even if this can be played solo, I certainly don’t recommend doing so. You may get things done quicker, but taking at least one extra human player with you will dampen the struggle somewhat. Better to suffer together than alone. It has taken me nearly 3 years to finish this due to my co-op partner not wanting to play for the longest time. Nothing is missable as far as trophies are concerned, but be prepared to stick with this one for a while if you’re tackling the base game and the DLC along with it. There are several things that turn into a real grind. Handsome Collection comes with most DLC, but now there is one extra pack that will run you $15 separately if you want that 100%

I feel the exact same as you do about Borderlands 2. My co op partner just doesn't want to play as often so it's been an on and off game for 2 years now. We just finished the campaign and done the main missions for DLC1. We are so overwhelmed by the grinding involved for the foreseeable future we are taking a mini break to come back to it. If I were to rate my enjoyment right now it would be a 5/10. Edited August 17, 2021 by FreshFromThaDeli

Popular Post greenzsaber
Plat #347 - Nexomon Extinction Pretty neat monster catching game that's definitely not Pokemon. Has a much better story, but simpler gameplay mechanics. Definitely recommend this one if you like "catching 'em all", cause you're gonna need to do that to get the platinum. It's also an entirely single player experience, with nothing missable. Looking forward to seeing the prequel come out sometime this year.
eigen-space
Platinum #160 - Cthulhu Saves Christmas 69.57% Rarity Difficulty - 1/10, Time Spent - ~2.5 Hours, Enjoyment 6.5/10 Cthulhu Saves Christmas has you playing as Cthulhu trying to find and save the kidnapped Santa Claus. There is very little to this game, but it still is pretty good. You basically just walk through dungeons while fighting some enemies and the occasional boss in a turn-based RPG style of fighting. It's not very complex at all and you could basically just beat most enemies with your eyes shut. The game is fun, though, due to the writing. I found myself smiling at the various bits and pieces of dialouge and actually thought about replaying the game to trigger some of the additional dialogue (you have the option of like 5-10 different events each set of "free time" but you can only choose 4 events each time). But no one has time to replay games when they have an insane backlog, so I guess this will just go on the finished pile.
Popular Post Darghel
#114 Advent of the Akiba God (Akiba's Trip) Difficulty: Mostly easy. Otaku difficulty had some annoying parts but nothing unbearable Time to Complete: 22 hours split among 5 playthroughs (12 + 2 hours each, more or less) Recommended: Yes, it's short and fun Total Score: 7.5/10 Welp this was a real trip into the past: Akiba's Trip was one of the first platinum I did - my fourth if I'm correct - and back then I was still new to the concept of "platinum games for fun" and all that, and I remember playing this game casually but then seeing how I was basically halfway through the list...so I did it, and for the time I was so happy about it, considering I wasn't really into trophy hunting back then. And now 5 years later, and 110 trophies later, I decided to do the ps4 version and It was...maybe a little less fun than I remembered? It's still a lot of fun, but I suppose I expected a little too much. So how to describe Akiba's Trip? Well it's sort of like a Yakuza of the poor...and I do mean very poor, since Akiba's full of mini areas to explore and it's not even ALL of Akiba (I can only defend this as this was a ps vita game too, but I'm not sure if it's good enough). The combat itself is kind of fun, albeit not well balanced at times: most of the weapons aren't all that great, in the sense that their only difference is in their animation since you can upgrade them to 999 and have the same stats as every other weapon. I used the final boss sword and practically never took it off. But to be fair, what makes this game fun is the customization. Unfortunately, you have to finish the game AT LEAST once in order to unlock more options, but when you do it's pretty much real free estate: you can change almost anything, from gender, animation, and even voices. You can even crossdress in many ways and let's just say that seeing an old man with an idol dress and cat ears, walking like your sister, with a cutesy voice it's probably the scariest thing you will ever see in this game! It's a shame that the story will always consider us males (well, one character does call us "sister" but that's it) so there's no difference in the story depending on who you are. You can literally be the final boss (literally, you can strip his clothes and wear them up in ng+) and you'll still be considered the same as before. Or do just like me and become a white knight princess! Anyway let's talk about... the stripping, it's about doing it on vampires so they can die under the sun...kinda, one character even returns after supposedly dying under the sun, so I'm not sure. Plus you can see yourself in the sun all the time and nothing happens so..."heh", game logic. Other than that it's fairly simple: strip enemies of their clothing and you beat them. Strip in a chain and you also gain their underwear - properly censored by a flash of light. The best part is the many ways to strip enemies: some animations are just hilarious, such as the obvious "ora ora ora" animation, or the "kamehameha" one from another. Again, customization is fantastic and it's probably the highlight of this game, and they're not too hard to get either. In all honesty, my issue is that...I kinda hoped for more? The ps3 version was fine, but I was expecting a little extra from this newer version: Kati is still the only girl not having an ending (which is weird considering she has some moments), and they could've added the above mentioned female route so that, who knows, we could've dated the guys (who also have their own strip cut-in...hey can't say this game isn't inclusive!) and maybe could've had more areas. Alas, it's the same exact game as the ps3 version, but with better loading times and a mode called Toybox, which basically unlocks everything from the start (I think, I didn't try it in full, as it doesn't unlock any trophies or anything) Beyond that, the game is still fun! And the best part is that despite the stripping theme it never really takes itself seriously: the stripping is merely a joke and the fun part is how ridiculous it can get, and seeing big badass enemies getting stripped into their underwear it's both hilarious and stupid! Even the concept of chain stripping, or having telekinesis stripping, and all that, makes this game just too funny and too ridiculous to take seriously which is how I recommend getting into this game: just play it for fun, think of this game as one of those animes with fanservice, and enjoy it for what it is! I still there's gonna be a proper sequel to this (not counting Akiba's Beat which is a spin off, and the recent Akiba's Trip is actually the previous game) because the plot can still potentially be expanded more, and even if there's no cliffhanger (which is good IMO) there's a possibility for more to come. I totally recommend this, it's just a fun trip to madness that I wish it lasted a little longer!

Popular Post Gommes_
#137 Mafia The Original Gangster This will be a shorter review, cause there is not that much to say about this game besides that I liked it and that it felt like a true AAA game apart from the play time. Regarding the story, maybe I expected a little more due to its reputation. Don’t get me wrong it is a good and interesting story with well written characters but when you had the fortune to experience games from Rockstar, Dontnod or other publishers who put that much thought into their stories it feels a little less impactful. However I did not expect that ending ? . The world itself is fantastic and Hangar 13 did an amazing job of displaying the era of the 1930s. From the cars, the clothes, the music and much more they pretty much nailed it! I also liked that the news on the radio were talking about the attacks by the mafia mob I was part of. The general presentation was just awesome and that also applies to the technical changes which made Mafia a proper remake. The lighting and the reflections are outstanding and especially during the night time the whole city feels so lively and realistic. I kinda forgot what the PS4 is capable of to be honest. It is that good. Even though the base PS4 suffers from occasional screen tearing which sometimes broke the immersion. Oh, and the infamous race was indeed a big pain. Not as big as expected but bad enough ?. I’d say this is a game anyone should check out and even if it is only for the amazing presentation. CabDK
Wuppo Enjoyment 6/10 Dificulty 8.5/10 Whoop whoop Wuppo plat! What a weird little game. It's a mix of genres, action adventure game, 2D platforming exploration with Metroidvania elements and twin stick shooter mechanics. The campaign was alright, although the collectiables were a pain. The 2nd part of the game is Boss Runs, this is IMO the best part of the game and it is where the dificulty comes from. Boss Run: Impossible lives up to its name and will take a LOT of tries to get done, you need both skill and luck to succeed.
Cmndr_Yoshi
Platinum #113 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (PS5) Fantastic game, and even better Star Wars game. My one complaint with the PS4 version were frame rate issues, but they were clearly fixed with the 5 upgrade. It's a great 3D Metroidvania-style game that I think would be worth a look if you haven't tried it yet.
Popular Post madbuk
#431 - The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles After years of hearing how wonderful these two games were and how much of a shame it was that they were never going to be released outside Japan due to copyright problems.. they have finally released regardless, and I'm very happy to have finally been able to play this beloved duo of games when I thought I would never be able to. Overall my opinions of them are fairly mixed. I much prefer the setting of this game to the original AA trilogy (and arguably even prefer the characters as well), but the actual main plot... it certainly has a lot of aspects to like and they do a good job of setting up threads and then giving payoff, but the pacing is highly questionable. There are so many times in these two games where you'll be told this is "your last chance" or "it all comes down to this" etc. etc. and then it continues for another hour or two after that "pivotal" moment. It just gets rather repetitive and routine - this is definitely an issue with the original trilogy as well, but for some reason it bothered me more here. There are also some rather dumb deus ex machinas - another original trilogy problem, so I just went along with it really. Some of the new mechanics introduced in this duology were interesting, but reused too much to the point they just become boring by the end. Despite my grievances with this set of games, I will just repeat that I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to actually experience them for myself after all the years of hype (part of me wonders if the reason they're held in such high regard is because they were exclusive for so long and only megafans had played the translations - AAI2, another unlocalized AA game, is also insanely well regarded, as are the unlocalized Trails games... Seeing a pattern here...) I would probably say I would be more interested in a Great Ace Attorney 3 than another game with Phoenix and co., most things got wrapped up but they definitely left a few threads open for a potential third game to pick up on. Overall I would still recommend these games, I just wouldn't recommend going in expecting the masterpieces everyone had been hyping them up to be.

Popular Post visighost
Got my 600th platinum with Untitled Goose Game! I put it on pause for many months since I despise speedruns, but wanted stg nice for a milestone, so got back to it. I did tremendously enjoy the game despite being afraid the hype would be overblown. Ok - it kind of was, but it’s still a delightful, original puzzle game the kids loved to watch me play (but wouldn’t play themselves). Now to think of stg for the 700th… Probably next year!
