OverlordOfRacing
Two of my most recent platinums were Donut County and Nickelodeon Kart Racers. Both were enjoyable and pretty fun for the most part. Kart Racers has many annoying parts but overall was decent.

Popular Post You
Plat 176, Yakuza 6 Japanese version. Normally I go through the Yakuza games first in Japanese and then English but this time I did the game in reverse order and played English first. Second time around was probably more fun, at the very least I knew what skills to equip and in what order to do stuff so I had zero grinding at the end of the game. I had unlocked all the skills just before the final chapter. Awesome game. Would recommend it to anyone, no crazy amounts of 100% completion/mini game master required in this one compared to the other games.
Popular Post Hanzoadam
#508 cyberpunk 2077 Never Fade Away Unlock all Trophies. Back from last year but haven't really been online Roughly 80hrs probably about 82hrs counting crashes but saved often worst I lost was 10minutes Loved the game a lot, despite its flaws, think they've been good with the patches. Game was super fun, and a lot to do did most activities besides 2-3 missions but enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait to replay the ps5 version when it's ready.

For those who have not played these the story was great. I have never read any of the comics so I don't know how original any of it is but it was almost all new to me. Highly recommend these though I don't think there will be S3 anytime soon sadly. I have started Arkham City now and like Asylum I don't think I will be platting it as I just can't get a good enough handle on the combat. I still have trouble getting a decent combo with just jumping over enemies and punching as I inevitably devolve into smashing buttons...

Popular Post madbuk
#403 - Trackmania Turbo I've wanted to play this ever since PS+ gave it to me, but other games always distracted me so I've only just gotten to it. I wish I hadn't waited so long, this was a great game. Some levels were incredibly frustrating, and some just flat out enjoyable, specifically towards the end (looking at you, #178) but for the most part I had a fun time with this. It was a good challenge without feeling absurdly out of reach, there were only a few events in the game that had me questioning whether I even had it in me to finish them. Trackmasters were easier than I had expected too, but only because you only need 50. If you needed all 200 this would be an absolutely insane plat. It's not among my favourite racing games, but it's up there. I'd put it in the same tier as Crash Team Racing, which I loved too but not as much as games like WipEout or Driveclub. It's definitely one I at least recommend trying out. I'd say Lagoon was my favourite track type, and Valley was my least favourite, but they were all pretty good. I'd be interested in a new game, if we ever get one. This is also now tied with Gran Turismo 5 as my rarest plat, and while it was hard, I don't think it deserves to be the same rarity as GT5 at all lol. They're leagues apart imo, both in terms of length and difficulty. The wonders of PS+ rarity boosts I suppose.
Popular Post arcanehornet_
#304 Wolfenstein: The Old Blood One from quite deep in the backlog. This is actually a great shooter, I had lots of fun with it back in 2016. The plat is mostly really easy, just watch a collectible guide as you go, and grind your perks. So the reason for my backlogging this are the challenges, of course. They are quite annoying, but to be fair, I never really bothered to give them a good try. Recently I finished my first playthrough of The New Colossus, so I was motivated to finish this. Did them all in mostly just a day. Definitely recommend this one. A super polished shooter with an easy-ish platinum. Popular Post Quink666
#357 The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series EU The Long Walk 45.32% Fun: / Trophies: / Difficulty: / Time to Plat: 34 Hours This will be the last time i play a Telltale TWD game. Played each season several times now and seen pretty much everything all the seasons have to offer. Season 1 is the best by far, it's the season that started it all. Season 2 & 3 are also pretty decent. Season 2 has stronger story but season 3 had better characters like Kate which most peoples romance option. Season 4 is a travesty, AJ is the most annoying video game child in any game i have ever played. Really wish they gave us an option to have him killed in the first episode, that would drastically improve the remaining 3. But unfortunately it's not possible and you are stuck with this useless brat for the entire season. Michonne is even better then season 4 but only by a little. This collection is the best one out there especially for people new to the series, as this is truly a Definitive Edition with all seasons and improved graphics on S1 & S2. Best part is that you only have to beat each season to get the platinum, the misc trophies in Season 4 and in 400 Days was removed allowing people to purely focus on the story. Popular Post StraightVege
It's all Relative #250 Having never played the original version, I can't say if it was always this good, or if Bluepoint just did a great job with the remaster, but Gravity Rush is certainly an eminently unique and enjoyable superhero action title. I immediately felt like I was in for a treat as I watched the understated opening scene, introducing me to the city of Hekseville's washed-out, dreamlike quality and charming mixture of European aesthetics. This game has style! You play as an amnesiac woman named Kat, who seemingly falls out of the sky, and is accompanied by a mysterious cat-shaped being that grants her "gravity shifting" powers. You'll battle strange, invading creatures called Nevi, and experience Kat's rapid rise to fame as the city's guardian. Right away, the game began patiently teaching me how each mechanic works at the perfect pace, and before I knew it, I was effortlessly flinging myself through the the air, walking on walls, and landing precise jump-kicks on enemy weak points. Who knew flying in a video game could be as simple as looking where you wish to go and tapping a button? They devised an elegant solution that just works somehow; perhaps the most accurate portrayal of how it would feel to soar through the air as a human. Quite exhilarating to play, although the system does occasionally falter pretty badly in tight spaces, or when you need to make multiple turns in rapid succession, which is common in some challenge missions. I also think it was a mistake to include so many missions that limit or remove your powers. I had no fun with those—let me fly, man! I never was particularly fond of the "take away the player's abilities/equipment" trope in games. It does become a bit repetitive by the conclusion, too, with many segments that feel samey. Still, the sheer novelty of the gameplay managed to hold my interest fairly well overall, with minimal frustration (except for a painful fight against that inferno mini-boss!). To be honest, I was kind of lost in the muddled plot of time travel, predestination, otherworldly invaders, and an increasingly authoritarian government at odds with the gravity-shifting superhumans. I'm sure there's fascinating underlying lore here, but it always felt like I was missing important information. Is this game based on an anime property I'm not aware of, or something? I tried to ignore the fact that Kat is often written in a stereotypical manner, like a naive child or ditzy blonde, and runs around in high heels with revealing outfits. She's treated as fanservice a lot of the time, although the game does make one earnest attempt to portray romance from her perspective, where you fly your date around the city through some heart-shaped collections of energy jewels—it's cute as heck, and I have to respect it. To some degree, I suppose it makes sense for her to behave as she does, having lost her memory and all. Gravity Rush is what happens when a developer isn't afraid to take some risks, and focuses on making one core mechanic really damn good, rather than throwing the kitchen sink at the project as so many triple-A's do. An outstanding, third-person action game, that strongly differentiates itself from the pack. If you think Western stuff like Batman and Infamous are the pinnacle of superhero games, try expanding your horizons with this—I think it's a must-play. Unless you're susceptible to motion sickness... then maybe steer clear of this one! Hopefully the sequel didn't get too big for its britches and end up bogged down with unnecessary fluff. I plan to play it in the near-future. Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#132 - Celeste "Heartbeat" Unlock every trophy Celeste had been on my 'need to play' list for quite a while before I finally got around to playing it; simply because it was never on sale! What I got didn't disappoint; Celeste is a beautiful game filled with poignant moments, beautiful music, and stellar platforming that puts most other 2D 'sidescrollers' to shame. While not quite in 'top-tier' status with games like Hollow Knight for me personally, Celeste is well worth your time. I really don't want to say too much at risk of spoiling the experience, but you're in for an emotional, challenging and rewarding journey here. Take your time, put on some headphones, and DON'T use assist mode for your 1st playthrough if at all possible (unless you're really not a fan of platforms and mainly want to enjoy the story). Aside from the characters, story, music and beautiful art, the real standout here is the very high-quality gameplay. Celeste is only very rarely frustrating; and often that's because I wasn't good enough at the mechanics yet, as opposed to overly-floaty jump physics or dodgy hit detection. Seriously top-notch stuff. If you aim to play without assist mode, prepare yourself for a brutally-hard experience. Some of the 'B-sides' (unlockable remixed versions of the game's main levels) took me several hours and 100's of attempts to complete. I was able to complete everything the game had to offer - aside from the C-sides - in about 30 hours. Admittedly at that point I was exhausted and decided to turn on assist mode for the C-sides to get it done, but it could have easily been another 5-10 hours for those. I consider myself a pretty skilled/experienced platforming gamer too, so be warned! (hahahah) Assist mode itself allows you to turn on invincibility, infinite dashes, and other modifiers that make the game a breeze. Again, I STRONGLY recommend you don't soil the experience for yourself by doing this; at least for your first run. It's really a shame that the platinum trophy is so easy with this tbh ? Not much else to say. If you're at all a fan of 2D platformers or Indie games of a high quality and calibre, Celeste is absolutely worth a play! Popular Post BacklogGamer964
The N. Trepid Crash Bandicoot! - Crash Bandicoot (PS4) My 16th Platinum, and 17th 100% on this account. What a ride this one was. This was the game I got with my PS1 back in the day, so finally been able to replay it now was a great time... Until those time trial relics. Getting 100% alongside this platinum was a nightmare. Thankfully the DLC, Lost Treasures, allowed me to skip over getting the Gold Relic on The High Road, but I still had to spend far too long rerunning Stormy Ascent (the pain of missing the final jump because the stupid bird was too far right is real), and my thumb is actually hurting after doing this one.
Popular Post preciseRNG
#39 Bus Simulator Bus Boss 13.72% Rare I do enjoy simulation games but haven't tried out a lot, especially on console this is my first experience. On PC I played a lot of ETS2 and some Mudrunner and Snowrunner. This one was an overall OK experience. It does not look too beautiful and I enjoyed my first couple of hours, put on some music and did relaxing public transportations. Soon you feel like there is something missing and overall the cities and NPC cars have quite bad models as well as all the pedestrians. Of course due to its nature there is not really much to do besides... driving the bus, which is OK but it felt like that game could have been much more. Some base game trophies seem to be buggy, but popped at least. In the DLC I had an issue with one trophy where you have to level up the Airport Station to 25.... I overachieved the goal on the final ride and got it straight from 24 to 26 which the game seems to not understand and did not give me the trophy.... I had a backup file and had to redo a couple of stuff again and lost about 6-7 hours redoing that. At least it worked out in the end so I could finish with 100% completion. If there are any sim-veterans in this forums: Can you give me a good suggestion on a good sim on PS4 or upcoming ones for PS5? Here's the plat snap:
Popular Post Gommes_
Zone of the Enders + Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner HD Edition #121 Elite Frame Runner #122 Desperately Seeking Dingo These games were in my backlog for quite some time and I am not even sure what to say about them. I think I liked them? Part 1 is actually a pretty weird game with an awful, I mean awful story which is so tacky and embarrassing it almost hurts to watch the cutscenes. They also hurt because of the PS2 graphics but it is an old game so that’s not really an issue. Gameplaywise it was okay, the mech did not move as smooth as I expected and the camera is kinda bad. However I liked the whole concept of part 1 and how arcade like it felt. Music was great too. The Second Runner was better because of the graphics, the variety of enemies, the quality of the cutscenes, the amount of bosses and the overall feel of the game. Fighting felt better and looked better as well. Story was still horse shit but at least presented in a nice way. The second part was also more classic in regards of being a single player experience. It was just more straightforward. In terms of trophies part 1 was annoying, cause you had to quit out to the menu every time you died, so your rank does not get messed up. Besides that there was nothing too hard. The Second Runner was a little easier I guess but its requirements were not as clear to me. Anyway, good games which will not leave an huge impact I think. Now off to Dragon Quest 11! Edited January 5, 2021 by Gommes_
Popular Post starcrunch061
It's been a while since I updated. I don't usually like putting multiple plats in, but whatever: Plat #421: Ziggurat Ziggurat Champion Unlock all other Trophies A pretty tough game for me. I've always been shit at 1st-person games, so I was proud of this plat. There are some tough trophies here. Basically, you just climb a tower, shooting enemies. That's it. There are multiple characters (20+), each with various quirks. The upgrade system is very solid. There's a decent enemy variety, though you'll get sick of seeing them by the end of the plat (you have to beat the game with every character, as well as other various challenges). But all in all, this one was fun for me. Plat #422: The Walking Dead: A New Frontier A New Frontier Completed The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Here's an example of a game that does well most of the time, but when it half-asses it, it really ruins it. Telltale was always notorious for choice that had no real consequence, but this game takes the cake. I was really excited to see what happened to Clementine in her new digs. Turns out, this is explained in a flashback that took about 3-4 minutes of game time. I enjoyed the new character, and I really enjoyed his interactions with his family, but then this is ruined by a series of nonsensical plot lines and choices in episodes 4 and 5. My favorite? At one point, a doctor who I thought was a friend betrays me and her group. Ultimately, I have to choose a person to save. I choose the person in the group, but shit happens, and they die anyway. And this doctor blames me for the whole ordeal. There's some good stuff here, but the bad stuff is what sticks in my head. Plat #423: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Overlord Collect every other trophy. Man, I did not like this game. It plays like a well-meaning fan homage to the great Symphony of the Night that wants to be good, but just isn't. Your character moves and attacks like she's in Jell-O. Every enemy does the same. Boss fights are hilarious. They all remind me of this scene from the classic Batman show: The voice work is god-awful. I didn't mind bringing on the old Alucard voice for old times sake, but did David Hayter have to do a bad job as well? The story is barebones, and stupid to boot. The best part of the game is grinding out items. How sad is that? There were some good ideas in this game, but I don't have the energy to talk about this anymore. All I'll say is this: I feel like I'm in an alternate universe when people say this game is much better than Hollow Knight.
