That is still an unconfirmed rumor though and store closing doesn't mean that people will lose the ability to download previous purchases, sync trophies, or access game servers.  It just means that it is a good idea to consider buying any DLC needed to finish those games sooner rather than later.

Today I traded some of my old games for 6 new ones. I was surprised to find The Saboteur,I wanted to get that one for a long time. The rest are;Eat Lead,Mercenaries 2,Lost Planet 3,South Park The Stick of Truth and Get fit with Mel B. Last one for some easy trophies.  ?

 

Battlefield Bad Company and Crysis 3 are next ones I will try to find.

You weren't the first one!  It's very easy to forget and can be a nasty surprise to realize that on top of Symphonia's 150+ hour long plat that you got Dawn of the New World's 100+ hour plat.  Definitely would recommend to take care of your other Tales of games first because Symphonia can burn you out for the series.

Got a few more trophies in Lego Indiana Jones 2 and in Quantum Theory.

 

I played through a good chunk of Lego Indiana so far. 4 of 6 hubs are on 100% progress. Only Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade still missing. After that i'll have to go into Creativity Hub and build a few levels.

 

After two boosting sessions for Quantum Theory i have most of the online trophies but it's still a few hours xp grinding as i only have 300k of 1 mil points.

 Agree with you. I am not concerned about not being able to download bought content but indeed being able to purchase DLC content anymore

 

But it is still a rumor. On the other hand where there is smoke there is fire so I will pick up some DLC that I haven't bought yet...just to be sure

I'm actually pretty pleasantly surprised how much I still liked this game even though 9 years have gone by since I started and finished it the first time around, though towards the end I was definitely happy to see it end thanks to a wonky camera and Cole being magnetically attached to every climbable surface ala OG Assassin's Creed. I'm hoping to knock Assassin's Creed Revelations out next, since I know I have some pretty lengthy slogs ahead of me coming up.

March Update

 

Like February, I haven't been playing PS3 much as I was losing interest again. I enjoyed most of the month on PS4 but still went and knocked out a couple of PS3 titles. I'm mentallyback on track in tackling my PS3 backlog though which is great. I'll definitely have various titles complete in March so I'll keep it posted!

One of my all-time favourites! Played it back on PS2 and still feels as magical and awesome as the first time I played it. It's such a great franchise and I'm happy to have my second of the four KH platinums on the PS3. Definitely a series I'd recommend to anyone.

The change of direction by Naughty Dog pretty much put me off in the sequel along with many other blindingly obvious flaws... But Jak 3 definitely improved in various areas which made Jak II such a poor experience for me. There was more mission variety, the map was used better, there was actual checkpoints and overall just felt like a much more enjoyable experience. Ultimately, I would have still preferred the format of Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy but it wasn't a bad experience.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut

 

Everything I heard told me that the Director's Cut was the superior version, so I'm glad I got it. It was actually really fun! I played this once long ago when it first came out on my Xbox 360, but I never got past the first mission, and I don't think it would have stuck with me as well back then. Those immersive sim style games are usually a little much for me, but I had a guide with me so it all turned out fine. It was nerve racking to get through the DLC section without any guns or upgrades, but it was worth it to feel like a god again at the end of the game. Overall, I'd recommend it! Give it a go if you've ever been interested.

Forgot to update after I got my latest PS3 platinum. [I'll copy/paste what I wrote in the UR thread]

• Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - 50% > 100% ✅

Finally finished MGS2. It's my 200th platinum and a really satisfying milestone to have. Overall it wasn't nearly as difficult as I was expecting it to be, but it sure was time consuming. I clocked in 26 hours for the VR missions alone (add another ~10 for YouTube guides) and roughly 35 hours for all of the dogtags (one of these was my original run watching every cutscene). Toughest part of the game? I'd have to say MGS1 Snake's Hold Up 07. That VR mission alone took me almost 70 attempts, failing within the first 5 seconds the majority of the time. There's quite a gap between that and the next toughest mission in my opinion. Toughest boss on Extreme difficulty was the Metal Gear Ray's, pretty much every other boss can be cheesed in some way making them all quite straightforward.

Mass Effect 3 is officially completed. I had a couple of challenges with the Insanity run but found it to be easier than ME and ME2. Going for 5,000 kills without playing MP was a grind though. Up next: going through what games I still need to buy DLC for in case (when) the store closes and restarting Ni No Kuni.

If it were me, I'd list them anyway, but if your backlog is too intense (or you just don't care enough to write them all down lmao), maybe you can just give a count of them? Then add them to your list as you go, like you said.

It may have been one measly bronze trophy, but GAH. Two and a half years it's been glitched on my file, randomly trying and hoping a patch would fix it (though it's been dropped for a while now). Took resetting The End a number of times and then hours of trying when a successful attempt takes 2-3 minutes. It's the rarest in the list for a reason, apparently.

Glad to finally have that permanently crossed off.

 

News of the store shutdown is re-motivating me a bit, so hopefully I'll pick up the pace. Been in a bit of a slump, but hope to have Assassin's Creed Brotherhood beaten soon.

I really hate games that requires beat the game so many times like Dead Space 3. On my backlog I have several games like these, DmC, MGS4, Resident Evil.

 

With the PS3 store closing in 2-3 months I have to make sure that I have all DLC correctly purchased and installed, also I read problems with game patches. I wish I hadn't tried so many PSPlus games years ago when I didn't care too much about trophies.

This game, while a slight improvement over Part 1, is still as awful. Even the selection of different spells is useless as Impedimenta is the best spell in the game, and can even one-hit-kill enemies on Expert. At least it's easier.

March Update:

 

A real update this month, I played a little bit of Toy Story 3, started going around the levels getting all the collectibles I am missing. Need to practice on the Buzz video game level because I am terrible at it and I need to get to a certain point without dying once (or finish the level without dying, I am not clear on the details.)  I will probably be finishing that game at some point next week since I am also playing the Witcher 3 and want to make that platinum a milestone trophy so I gotta keep an eye on my numbers to avoid messing it up which has happen before because I get easily distracted.

• Yakuza 3: 60%>75% - Finished all the sub-stories and started working on the Coliseum which I'd like to finish before I attempt my ex-hard play-through. Not looking forward to the mini-games.
• Defiance: 15% > 52% - Server closure announced for the end of April got me trying to finish this off. 
• Sacred 3:  17%>25%: Started some of the DLC

Pretty much have spent the majority of my game time this month working on Defiance. The DLC trophies are glitched so there's no chance of 100% but I want to try and prevent another unobtainable on my profile. This game was my first experience with an MMO and in hindsight, its a not a bad choice but I wish I had picked another. The developers didn't support the community and problems were left unfixed. It also gets a little repetitive and don't care much for the story involved. Less than a month to shut down and there's still a bit of a grind to go so I'm hoping I can manage to get this done.

Good to be done BioShock 2 after three and a half years. I'm also very nearly done my third Mass Effect 3 playthrough. Turns out that will give you enough credits to purchase all weapon upgrades for every weapon, so I'm as prepared as I'm going to be for my Insanity run.

 

For April I'd like to finish Mass Effect 3. I'm coming up fast on trophy #9000, so I'd like to plan it so the ME3 plat falls on that number. Like the rest of us, I've also got to look at my backlog and figure out if there's any DLC worth purchasing before the store closes. And finally, I've been thinking I should do something special for the last month of the event. Some games in my backlog are there not just because I haven't gotten around to them, or because they're hard, but because I feel they may be impossible for me to complete. One of those that I've started is Gran Turismo 5, and one that I haven't is Max Payne 3. I'm considering if I should try putting in the effort to finish one of those games to capstone the event. It's only a mater of time before Sony stops all support for the PS3, so it's better sooner than later, but I feel I might put 1000 hours into those games and still not finish them.

If you finished all substories and got Golden Pistol,ex hard is no problem and can be done in 6-7 hours. Unless you want to fight you way without the Pistol. ?

 

Mini games are really hard,for me Karaoke was the worst one.
