Popular Post griffin123456789
I just checked my Doom Eternal guide to respond to a comment and saw the badge. Holy crap is it an honor to even be considered. Guide writing has been a fun hobby and I love this community. I recently built a PC and have been mostly spending my free time playing games on that platform, but I'll try to write guides on here when I can as it's extremely rewarding and entertaining. Thank you all!

Popular Post Venocide
I'm absolutely ecstatic that my Persona 4 Golden guide got nominated ^^ took a year for me to make but it was so worth it, I've had so many people thank me over the last 10 months and it makes me so happy to be able to help so many people. Thanks to the people who voted for my guide so far, and good luck to all the other guide creators, all of them are phenomenal. Quote I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here, but I don't think I used a single guide I've voted for (yet). The only things I based my decisions on were if the guide looks like it was a pain in the butt to create or it just fits the category very well after a quick scroll-through. And... well, I'll admit it... for 2 categories I used random.org because I had no idea what to base my selection on. The way the voting rules are set up is a double edged sword. On one side, it appears that an attempt was made to highlight guides of general higher quality over the community selecting nominations based on guides that they know exist or used (which would most likely result in the most community known titles). This way, the guide team itself can review each guide on the site regardless of popularity or previous experience using it and choose what they deem as higher quality guides regardless of popularity. Yet the exact same thing can still happen with voting as there's nothing stopping people from either refraining from voting due to not having used any of these guides, randomly choosing guides as the person above me stated, or voting for only the ones that they have personally used. It shouldn't matter if you have used any of the guides personally or used all of them. What matters is for people to review each of the guides and create their own opinion as to which one meets each requirement best in their eyes if they decide to participate. Not that this would ever happen but it's a nice thought. Regardless, I will be posting my votes closer to the deadline as it gives me time to read through each of them. Congratulations to everyone that was selected and good luck! Edited February 12, 2021 by ChaoticDoomOfBob

Popular Post Velvet
GOTY: Persona 5 Royal Trophy Guide This guide is just overall gorgeous. Having to fit so much information onto one page without it coming off as overwhelming and daunting is quite the task and the author did a really good job of making sure the information was presented in a clean and easy to read fashion. If I ever get around to finally playing this (wishful thinking, lol), it's comforting to know that there's a badass guide ready to go. Taking a look at the comments, not only was the guide well received, but the author did a great job of keeping it up to date as new information came along. Top notch. Gameplay:#1: Troll and I Just an overall great collectible guide. The images could be a smidgen bigger, but then again, I'm blind as a bat so that might just be a personal preference. The author still made an effort to highlight/circle everything needed in each of the images making it even easier to read. Just a great use of the table-system on here. Well done =] #2: Yakuza Kiwami Every time I see one of these games, I have absolutely no idea what's going on as everything just looks ridiculous, lol, and this guide didn't change my mind on it, but did steer me closer to actually checking it out, lol. Another great use of tables and images within them. It just creates a clean look that's easy on the eyes and even easier to navigate through. It just looks like a guide that overall fun to write. Walkthrough: (Fun fact - I broke my internet trying to open all of these at once. Mistakes were made.) #1: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Good. Lord. I am both concerned and fascinated at how long this must've taken you to put together. Leave no stone unturned and no questions left unanswered. Taking on a guide like this is a task in and of itself and the author absolutely killed it. Quite excited to see what other guides you do in the future because if they're anything like this... well damn. Just damn, lol. #2: Warframe Just as with Legend of Heroes, I can't imagine how long it took to put this guide together (did peep at that 400+ hours comment, though, I see you, sir). The constant releasing of expansion packs has put a lot of people off just playing the game, but seeing the guide put everything together in a clean and clear package makes it feel a lot less stressful than it otherwise would. Absolutely fantastic job with this. Niche: #1: Subnautica Respect. Most of the people I know who played this did use the debug menu to bypass a lot, so I appreciate that you wrote a guide outside of that feature for those looking to play (and hopefully enjoy) the game. The use of images to breakup what would've undoubtedly been a wall of text is always a plus, but you didn't go overboard and still managed to keep it on track/straight the points. Just overall well done on this. With this being your only guide, I really do hope that you took a liking to putting these together because would absolutely love to see more from you in the future ^-^ #2: Moonlighter Starting to feel like a broken record, but this guide is just clean. I'm a sucker for tables. let alone when a guide provides GFX to breakup the text and add a little pizzazz to everything. As one of the more difficult Indies out there, you did a great job explaining how to do what feels like the impossible. Just a great job all around. DLC: #1: Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark - DLC Maps & Monsters The Monster trophy alone won my heart with this guide, lol. As with the other guides voted on, this is just clean. The tables make all of the information easy to find and even easier to read. Just overall really well put together. #2: Persona 4: Arena Ultimax - Additional trophy group "Margaret" DLC More Persona! It's hard not to automatically vote for guides from this franchise because what goes into them is just a mountain of work. This DLC guide is no different and is really well done. Seeing who wrote it, it's basically guaranteed to get you everything you need in the most efficient way possible. Fantastic job, guys, really. Just wanted to give a small shout to @NCSFan001 and @MaxieM0us3 (And Minato =p) on their DLC guides. Always have respect for guide authors who have to go out and create their own maps because the game just doesn't provide them and the guides need them. It's not fun to do, so thanks guys for going out of your way to create them =] Formatting: #1: Harvest Moon: Light of Hope *Geeks out over tables some more* But really, farming/simulator/RPG games like this can only benefit from them and you did a damn fine job of organizing everything and making sure everything is clearly explained/easily found. The amount of images to keep tracking of is a task all by itself, but you honestly made it look so easy. Beautiful guide. Just beautiful. #2: Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two I had it down to two for the second choice and had to come back to it, but ended up choosing Epic Mickey. There are so many moving parts to this game that making sure people stay on the right track while playing through it is a task to take on, and you made a guide that's easy to read and follow. Just overall well done on it. Imported: #1: 初音ミク Project DIVA Future Tone DX #2: 真・女神転生 III NOCTURNE HD REMASTER This is the category I'm the least familiar with so did my best to try and look at them in the same light as the others. Translating a game isn't the easiest thing on the planet and doing it in an easy-to-follow way that actually entices people to want to play the games even with a language barrier is quite the task. Both of these guides are written in such a way that you would never guess they were imported (outside of the trophy names, of course =p). The information provided in both are thorough and well executed. Great job to you both =] Original Content: #1: Children of Morta As with some of the other guides, the amount of images in this guide is quite admirable. Keeping track of everything and making sure that only the necessities are included is a task to take on and the author did a wonderful job with that here. Another Indie favorite, the way the guide is presented makes the game more enticing to play. Just an overall well done job on this =] #2: Amnesia: Rebirth Trying to convince people to play a game that will scare the crap out of them is super fun to do. To also make sure they don't miss any of the ridiculous number of collectibles along the way is even more fun, lol. It's admittedly a smidgen of bias with this, but it's hard to ignore what went into making this guide. Just an overall job well done from the authors. TL;DR: Tables are awesome, images are great, I love all your guides, please write more. Thank you to the GT for putting this all together! Good luck everyone who's been nominated =D

I just have to say hearing those words is an absolute joy. I put a lot of effort into Moonlighter's guide to make sure everything was as perfect as could be & probably spent a good few hours in photoshop making all the GFX look as good as I possibly could. I never expected to get nominated & I'm overjoyed that I have been & that so many people have enjoyed my guide. It's words like these in particular that let me know I'm doing the right thing & all my effort is reflecting onto the players that I made the guide for in the first place.
MikeCheck--
Dang, feelsbadman.jpg that my Superhot VR guide didn't get nominated under "niche" considering how niche VR is oh well, good luck to everyone! Wait . . . in fact, there isn't even a single VR guide nominated, which is a shame that VR gets that overlooked by the guide team here. Not having a category I guess one could understand, but not one VR guide up for nomination? Come on y'all that really sucks and feels like a slight / oversight to the VR community. It was a fun one to read through, excellent job as well on it I agree a lot of work goes into the VR guides and often it is more difficult to make due to VR being hard to show what you need to do sometimes. It seems like only the "big and popular" titles got the nod. Honestly, I was pretty amazed with my guide being nominated (this badge looks really awesome). I've wrote this guide simply because I couldn't find any other in-depth collectible guide for this game. I picked up Troll and I on some sale, thinking it's going to be fun co-op experience with a relatively enjoyable plat (I am sucker for local co-op games). Oh boy, I was so wrong. It was janky and unresponsive most of the time, so platting this game was far from enjoyable. The game wasn't popular as well, so I started losing interest in writing this guide, but then I thought to myself "screw it, I'll be happy if there will be at least 1 person on earth, that finds my guide useful". So I am really happy that my work was appreciated congrats to all other participants! Edited February 12, 2021 by Trindave

I’ve only made one VR guide and I can attest that it forces you to be way more empathetic to the reader when writing. I foolishly wrote in my original draft to play using a certain controller method only to be called out that my suggestion might lead to motion sickness. What feels comfortable for me might not for someone reading. Lots to consider there which makes writing guides for those types of games really impressive.
SquidGeneral10
First of all, I'd like to thank the guide team tremendously for the nominations - got some big 'ole warm fuzzies seeing those "Exceptionally High Quality" stickers and can't wait to write more guides in the future - it's also a huge honor to see ours alongside so many amazing guides! Anyway, my nominations: Gameplay - Troll and I - Collectible Guide, Dreams - Prize Bubble Guide and Yakuza Kiwami - Perfectionist Guide Walkthrough - Warframe & Persona 4 Niche - Subnautica & Children of Morta DLC - TBOI Afterbirth+ & Kingdom Hearts IIIFormatting - The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV, Jotun, and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Imported - Million Arthur: Arcana Blood & 初音ミク Project DIVA Future Tone DX Original Content - Creaks & Harvest Moon: Light of Hope My pick for Guide of the Year: Warframe Complete Trophy Guide. It was tough settling on a guide of the year - even though I have never played Warframe, seeing (and practically smelling) the time and effort put into @ChaoticDoomOfBob's guide through 80+ trophies almost made me want to bury myself in the mountain of DLC trophies that game will put me in Congrats to everyone who got nominated and happy hunting / writing!

Void hath spoken an honourable truth, to which I will abide. There's little or no point in taking part when I have a superficial outsider outlook: a guide's worth is all in its' usefulness, not creative flair or popularity of the game to which it comes attached to. Plus, the voting system is flawed (very enjoyable, concise and brief exchange of blows by prosecutor BlackTorito and defendant ObsiEez) and why does only the Guide Writer's Guild élite get to vote? Is this a poll station or an oligarchic inbred orgy? Anyways, I'm grateful for being included in this final draft. I only wrote those guides because there were none available elsewhere, whilst now we have them in the PSNp museum. I know it isn't worth anything given how the voting system works, but shoutout and special commendation to @Kallume: your guide made me want to play D:OS2 even though it isn't a genre I appreciate at all. So, cheers man.
