Adilya
I wasn't expecting Sony to listen to us, glad to see I was wrong! Now I can finish my enormous Vita backlog in peace... Edited April 19, 2021 by Adilya
Popular Post Yuber6969
This is why you don't give up. I don't want to be cheesy here, but when enough people unite for something, things can change.

UlvenFenrir
??? sorry but this is hilarious. I dont wanna think of all the money people just spent in FOMO because Sony were going to close the stores. This is like when the epidemic started, everyone rushed to get everything off the shelves. I get it and im not saying i wasnt about to buy the overpriced MW3 dlc because i also thought the stores were going offline but now im glad i didnt bother. I just find this whole situation ironic. Sony: oops we made a mistake Does anyone legit believe that for one second? Everyone knows what FOMO does to people. Slava
Nice to know that they are listening. Now, a moment of silence for everyone who has spent big amounts of money on games and DLC already.

Popular Post Undead Wolf
Well, this was certainly unexpected. I mean I don't want to give Sony too much credit because they should have never decided to close the stores so suddenly in the first place, but I'm glad they listened to the fans and reversed that decision. They must have seen that it was incredibly bad PR for them. For how long will the stores stay up? Who knows? But at least we can rest easy for now. I have no regrets about the purchases I made following the announcement. It's not like they're going to be bringing back PS3 and Vita sales after all, so I don't consider it money wasted as I wanted to play these games anyway. This whole ordeal has taught me not to take the PS3 and Vita stores for granted and I still intend on focusing most of my attention on these two systems for the foreseeable future. It's only a matter of time before Sony really do cut support off for them entirely.
BlueDevl_one
Un-freaking-believable!!! ? This is fantastic! See folks, we each just have to spend a few houndreds bucks in the store and bam! Sony sees we still have interest. ?

OmegaRejectz
Fucking A. So glad that heavy backlash from every corner of the internet was enough for Sony to change their stupid fucking decision.

ExHaseo
For now. I'm sure it will eventually still go down, but it's nice they're keeping it up longer.
sepheroithisgod
Must have gotten enough money from panic buys to keep the stores going for a few more years. Either way, people should still buy what they want before they change there mind again.

DrBloodmoney
Fair play to them - I didn't expect that, but it's nice to see the change of policy. I hope some of those developers that cancelled their Vita projects haven't laid a bunch of employees off yet though... because Sony are culpable if they did. PIOTREK27-1982
Guys, guys, so are we still hating Jim Ryan today? I would like to thank all the people who got anoyed by PS3, PSP and PSV Store closure info. Yes, you did it, but remember it will happen at some point, so get those trophies people. No one will do it for you.

ShadeSplit
Guess it doesn't cost that much to keep the stores running after all.
ImMagnetz
Hmm. This is good news but it seems awfully convenient for them that they were able to tell people the stores were closing down, make a bunch of money through panic sales and then change their mind about the closures.
kingofbattle8174
I have to say this surprised me greatly. The community backlash must have been very significant for this kind of reversal decision. I still have my extra Hard Drive coming in the mail for my Vita. I won't buy any more games I believe, but get them all secured. Still it is is very cryptic of for how long they will be holding off with shutting down the stores.
fyiByas
Now I want more ways to host online servers where the online shut down.
JourneySilvers
Im so happy with this news!!!!! Don't even care that I spent money on games, the store staying open is the best possible outcome here regardless.
Spinacheq
I am surprised and happy by this turn of events. There was just to many things I would have missed out on as I am not rich enough to blow a small fortune on the games I want.
Kishnabe
Thanks for the Dopamine Hit, Sony. Really good news for the day. Now I hope the Vita devs uncancel their projects, and Sony allows sales again for the device. Edited April 19, 2021 by Kishnabe
