Sometimes we have take a step back and discover ourselves and find the light that is hidden deep in our hearts. Maybe you should follow my advice Copanele. The sea of stars will shine brighter when we all face the ultimatum of life and death.

Not too bad of a plat now that the 40075 km grind is doable in under an hour thanks to a glitch. The controls definitely made things aggravating, though. Took me a bit to nail down how to pull off some things for the trophies (Technical Wizardry, Treflip Master, and All the Grinds are standouts), but it's still a pretty short experience overall. Part of me wants to get the EU stack as well, but another part of me doesn't want to spend that money just for another EZPZ UR plat (I got NA physically, so I could technically sell it and, if I get fucked by update trophies, the game would probably end up in a sale by then).

I decided to make changes to my list so that I can work on the Platinum Difficulty Challenge at the same time. I have one game from each difficulty rating except for 1/10 (and I have two for 7/10 - AOF and Yakuza 0). They're listed in ascending order of difficulty - at least according to their guides.

 

I've been working on Skullgirls, and will probably start Harvest Moon soon because my PS Now will expire in a couple of weeks.

 

Don't let that 91% in Digimon fool you; I still have about 30 hours worth of grinding to do for the last trophy.

PUBG done. This one was way easier than what I was expecting, the amount of free UR's that you get is absurd. If you're thinking about playing though, I recommend doing it with a friend, the final grind is a little bit boring and should be better if you have someone else to talk about random stuff. There's a lot of glitched trophies reports, but everything popped as intended for me (I guess that the glitch only happens to players that played way back in the day). The game itself is kinda fun, but as someone that plays a lot of Fortnite, my wish to have trophies for the battle royale portion of the game is even bigger now, one day maybe...

Boy, did I grow to despise this game towards the end, with the nonsense physics engine, the game actively trying to take as much control away from you as much as it can, and the level design just meant to be as much of an asshole as physically possible.
I can't think of a game that has completely destroyed me mentally as much as this did, but hey, I'm too much of a stubborn dumbass to let that stop me, and it didn't.
I think this is probably the lowest point of my first list, at least (though depending on how shit LotF is that might change), but it can only go uphill from here I hope.

Very fun platformer with a teleportation mechanic. The Challenge Room Death Run was, well, challenging, although not so much that you wanna pull your hair out. The speedrun wasn't a problem at all.

This one was the easiest in the series but I'm honest, without save scumming all three games would be a 10/10 for me. Some games really didn't aged well and some trophy requirements would be insane without save scumming. Respect for those which did it in a "legit" way.

Yeah, seems like it's a long grind. Despite playing a reasonable amount of fighting games, I'm pretty bad ?. Gonna have to improve to get the platinum in Street Fighter 5, but long-term what I can gain from it I can take into future games.

Ok, so I just posted the other day but I did want to post a proper update.  In the future I'll make sure to do a better job making all my updates a bit bigger so I don't feel the need to post so often.  However, I'm very excited about the progress I've made in the first 4 days of 2022, so I wanted to drop this in.

 

Everything I picked is a bit longer and a bit more of a struggle than I probably should've started on.  I have my Tier 2 planned already and while I was tempted to swap the Tiers out, given how short everything is in my Tier 2, I decided to reject that and stick it out on here.  So below is my update.  Some very minor spoilers about gamer structure below.

 

 

Darkest Dungeon - I'm beginning to get the hang of the pawn system in this game, mostly which classes I like and which I don't.  My biggest advice to anyone playing through this would be to NOT skip the tutorials.  I know it seems obvious but damn, I really screwed the pooch and ended up having to figure out a lot of stuff by myself.  However, I have been able to get through every area of the game, and upgrade a decent portion of the main town.  I do feel like I'm dragging a$# a tad cause I've yet to get any hero to level 2, but I'm slowly but surely getting up to it.  My goal is to do EVERYTHING on this playthrough, trophy wise, including the DLC.  Then, I'll just have World End (for beating Stygian Mode) and In such haste.... (for finishing within 99 weeks) to deal with.  If you're interested, there's a minor breakdown of what makes those so hard in the spoiler below.

World End - Stygian Mode does a lot of things the same way the main game does, but it does increase enemy damage and health, as you may expect from a "Hard Mode".  What I haven't been able to figure out yet is if your stats (which would likely only apply to the town's level) carry over from the first game or not.  The reason I wonder this is because the Stygian mode was implemented to replace New Game +, or at least that's what I've read.

 

The main issue comes down to the failure states.  You can actually loose the game entirely if you have 1) more than 12 heroes die.  I've read multiple accounts that you loose at 12, and then multiple were you loose at 13.  What I do know for sure is that you loose 2 in the final dungeon regardless so these count against your total.

 

2) Additionally, and this factors into what makes In such haste... difficult, you gain a week in game every time you leave a dungeon.  Regardless if you complete it, have to flee, or have your whole party wipe out.  So, in essence, you have 99 dungeons (with the Crimson Court DLC, you have 103 without I believe).  I'm currently in the high 30's, and I'm getting pretty close to being able to take down a boss.  Now, with that being said, a lot of players won't have that same degree of difficulty.  My understanding is Crimson Court makes the game substantially harder, but I'm not sure how accurate that is or isn't.

 

Bleed - This is why I'm posting this second post in the first place.  This game is really damn fun!  Basically it's an arcade twin stick shooter with platforming.  Now I'm going to be real with you.  The platforming isn't the best.  It's very unique in it's feel and it can take some time to get used to.  At this point I've beaten the game in it's entirety on Easy, and the first level on both Normal and Hard.  

 

The difficulty spike between Normal and Hard on just the first level alone is pretty steep.  I'm planning on beating it on Very Hard next, and then finishing my Normal run.  Reason being, I had a very, VERY hard time beating the last boss on Easy, so I'd like to work my way up to it a bit slower.  Additionally, thanks to a very generous checkpoint system (but a very slow death process, relatively speaking) you can kind of just bang your head against the obstacle until you complete a section.

 

That slow death I spoke of is just me being kind of a brat lol.  If you prefer the fail state of games like Super Meat Boy or OlliOlli2, were you can basically instantly restart something, this is going to feel slow.  You die, have a short animation, a "game over" screen, then you can restart.  It takes all of 4 or 5 seconds if you mash X, but it does feel kind of slow in the grand scheme of things.

 

The reason I decided to post today was because I managed to S Rank my first boss.  Now, to be fair, it was the boss with the highest trophy completion rate, but hear me out.  I did it on accident.  On hard.  It was the first primary boss, and like I said, Hard is a pretty good step up.  Lol, I'm hoping in a week to not find this kind of accomplishment so pleasing, due to having accomplished much more with the game.  But for right now, I'm gonna call this my accomplishment of 2022!  If it doesn't get replaced, so be it.  I'm proud of this un!

Happy to report my first Tier 1 completion for 2022. Technically finished the game in 2021, but saved an easy trophy for last to start the year off strong. For those curious, Rocksmith does help successfully develop guitar skills at the beginner level, but I recommend you go for 2014 because the first game is just way too dated at this point. First lot of games for Tier 1 done!

I was way too eager to complete some games and I finished them just before the new year. I'm more doing this to push myself to do more UR than anything else anyway so I didn't mind finishing them early. I've completed 5 UR games in the last month, 4 of which I'll be swapping in and out for each other due to me not being patient enough for the event to start ?

 

No Time To Explain

I'm not a platformer type of person (as you can tell with my tier being mostly racing and BR's), but I might be after this. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked playing this type of game. I don't even know if it's considered a decent platformer or not, but it's made me want to play more regardless.

Nothing hard at all about it other than a few trophies. One being a no death run which I thought would make me pull my hair out, but ended up doing it in about 15mins. The other being a 60 second speedrun of a chapter which was challenging enough to be fun, but not too much where I was sitting there for any more than an hour.

Very much like PUBG with its own weird spin on it. I spent over 1000 hours on PC PUBG so I picked this up instantly and never had issues with difficulty. Hitting enemies with every type of gun was an interesting trophy, but wasn't anything to worry about in the end. Only annoying trophy was finding all 4 types of freezers (loot boxes). They're scattered around the map and can be really hard to find. Only annoying as it's luck based on whether you find them in their spawn locations or not. Difficulty wasn't an issue, just luck.

Only added this as it was already on my profile and needed to get done. Other than 100 kills, there's not much else to it, just another poor BR. Had to afk for experience for over 100 in game hours. Not the greatest BR, also quite a boring experience. Glad it's done.
