It’s not a good game by any objective definition, yet has a bizarre charm all the same. I love it. Folklore was already mentioned, being the Castlevania-x-Pokemon mashup you never knew you wanted. Transformers: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are both good, though tend to be pricey. If you’re into action RPGs, Eternal Sonata has some interesting ideas and Star Ocean: The Last Hope - while somewhat divisive - was pretty good. Dante’s Inferno is better than it should be, being knock-off God of War. Dead Space: Extraction is an amusing diversion, being a rail-shooter prequel to the first game in the series. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood did a good job scratching the Western itch, especially for those of us who weren’t quite as enamored of Red Dead Redemption as others were. Splatterhouse is schlocky, at times frustrating, and kind of janky but still fun based on how all-in it goes with it and Jim Cummings’ delightful performance as the mask. Yakuza: Dead Souls is an interesting little spin-off, a “what-if” scenario of a zombie outbreak in Kamurocho, done as a third-person shooter instead of the series’ usual brawler style but still loaded with all the 100% Japanese Weirdness (tm) the series is known for. if I remember right, though, you can’t invert vertical controls, so if you’re used to airplane-style controls, you’ll have some difficulties adjusting. 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although, Conan does have in-game cheevos. For games with trophies, I'll second some of the games above: Puppeteer Enslaved Splatterhouse, which has the old school games as unlockables. It also holds up really well still, both visually and when it comes to gameplay.
