In a new conversion by Double Eleven Studios, the Switch and PS4 versions bring the two classic experiences together again for both new players and original fans to enjoy across modern consoles, including backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 5. One of the most critically acclaimed games of all time with over 170 Game of the Year Awards, Red Dead Redemption tells the story of former outlaw John Marston as he journeys across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico to track down the last remaining members of the notorious Van der Linde Gang in a bid to save his family. Relive, or experience for the first time, the events immediately following the epic tale of honor and loyalty in the 2018 blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2 as Marston hunts down his former friends and outlaws Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella, and his former gang leader, Dutch van der Linde as the era of the cowboy comes to its end. Red Dead Redemption on Nintendo Switch and PS4 also includes Undead Nightmare, the hallowed story expansion that reimagines the world of Red Dead Redemption as Marston fights to survive a relentless zombie horde and searches for a cure in a spooky, supernatural twist on the Western genre. In addition to both classic, single-player experiences, newly supported languages include, for the first time, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Latin American Spanish.Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare will be $49.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation Store, with physical releases arriving October 13. I’m really disappointed rockstar Watch them do the same thing they have done with GTA 5, rerelease it on PS5 later but without a free upgrade. I don't mind port, remaster or remake - i will be playing this day 1 anyway looking forward to it. Just a shame it won't be at 60 fps though. My only question though, do you guys think they will release a physical copy of it aswel? Edited August 7, 2023 by Jason-DFG
THJamie
I hope it's an easier platinum than the first release. Either way I can't wait to play it again
Popular Post leandrorhcp
$50 for a mere port done once again by a third party studio is insane. Not even a native PS5 port!? As a former Rockstar fan and supporter, it's so sad to see their reputation get lower and lower with each release.

Popular Post GUDGER666
Cheeky lazy bastards. Anyone that buys this is a fool. RDR is my all time favourite but this is just disgraceful. Don't support this cash grab, I certainly won't be.
Popular Post Wagszilla
On the bright side, at least we won’t have to Grind XP for Rank or wrangle 7 other players for trophies. But $50 tho… Take 2 going full Strauss on us.

Popular Post TimeKeeper60
Honestly, I don't particularly care that this isn't a remake or remaster, but if it isn't at 60 fps, that's going to be really disappointing.

Wagszilla
The port looks pretty good. Resolution at 4K, improved draw distance, and texture upres. At first blush a far superior job than the GTA ports. But $50 is just way too much. Take Two has gone full Strauss on us. Keep it fixed at $30 and everyone can buy in, replay a beloved classic, and Double 11 Studios can make some money and grow their team. They even cut online which saves on time and direct costs. I’ll wait for a sale.
