Rikapadupu
Hello all Like well known, a masterpiece is considered to be a extremely good, outstanding and with great skill creation. Im asking not to decide which game is a masterpiece, but to know which one, members consider a masterpiece. For me is Bloodborne.i really like the grotesc setting, stylish combat, soundtrack, etc...

Thornhorn7
Outer Wilds. Went in completely blind and was completely blown away. The worst part about it is that I can never play it for the first time again.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
There are many games I would consider Masterpieces - essentially the best games within specific genre's, or the pinnacle of the games by a particular studio or artist, for example. I can't make an exhaustive list, but certainly I'd say I consider: Outer Wilds Elden Ring Hitman: World of Assassination Portal 2 The Witness Inscryption Immortality Tetris The Last of Us: Part II Mass Effect 2 Prey Bioshock Transistor to all be masterpieces within their respective genres.

Popular Post Neef-GT5
For old-timers like me, The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time is probably the greatest game ever made. Though not technically stunning even back in the late 90s, it is a masterpiece as it simply invented the grammar for 3D adventure games. Dungeons were memorable and the vast, semi open world was filled with secrets to unravel - just wandering on the Hyrule field was a sheer pleasure. Playing it then felt completely unreal, quite likely the most wonderful gaming experience I will ever have… Edited February 20 by Neef-GT5

MorbidMercenary
GTA IV absolute masterpiece from 2008 that still holds up today, although the online was “Okay”….playing this game now gives me such nostalgia for a post 9/11 New York City Another Masterpiece would be Modern Warfare 2 (2009) online, The story & co-op alone are good but the atmosphere of gaming online was completely different back then, looking back now it’s a memory I cherish & unable to describe how potent the excitement & enthusiasm was growing up & actively participating during the peak of the “Console Wars”
MarcusPunisher
I try to refrain from using the word masterpiece, cause it's such an overused word these days. But if I have to pick games, my mind goes to the first Deus Ex, Nier Automata, Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic, and Warcraft III.

Gradevole20
It's a difficult one, I must say. But I'll have to give it to LittleBigPlanet 2, which was released 13 years ago on PS3 (scary how time flies by...). This platform game came close to perfection and even today, I believe it has no equivalent. Also one of the reasons I keep my PS3 since LBP 2 is only playable on this console.
Popular Post xGabren
The Witcher 3, it has one of the most immersive worlds in a videogame with some of (if not the best) side quests I've ever seen, and Gwent, everyone loves Gwent Bloodborne, just like you said, the combat, soundtrack, atmosphere, bosses, everything in that game is a masterpiece. I still remember exploring Cainhurst Castle for the first time, it was an amazing experience God of War (2018) to me is still the best in the series, the ost is beautiful, good gameplay and don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Ragnarok, but the story of the first game was better imo, it was such a breath of fresh air for the franchise
mega-tallica
The Last of Us I feel like it set the gold standard for what many modern games have since strived for. Modern day masterpiece for sure. And just to throw one out there that hasn't already been mentioned yet; LA Noire. The gameplay, the writing, the setting, it captured the era perfectly and immersed me into that world so much more than most other games ever managed to do. A little bittersweet that it ended up being a one-and-done game, just adds to its legacy. I still hold a glimmer of hope that it gets a revival some day.
