Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #418: Difficulty: ? Playtime: 2-3 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 A sweet little visual novel with a unique focus on generation gaps and the transitive nature of life. Some laughs, some tears, and barrelfuls of heart. Lots of home truths and relatability. Maybe a little minimalist when it comes to production values, even by genre standards. Never to the point of distraction, though. Trophies are just a bonus when it comes to games like this... I would probably have picked it up since I'm a sucker for wintry settings anyways. It's my second favourite season for a reason... whoa, didn't mean to make that rhyme, there!
Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #85 - Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage Ripto's Remorse, 40.69% Rarity Difficulty - 2.5/10 , Time Spent - ~10 Hours , Enjoyment 8.5/10 Following Spyro into the world of Avalar where Ripto is wrecking havoc on the domain's creatures.... Yet another great remaster! At first I couldn't remember if I had played this game as a child, but after playing through several levels I definitely remembered various things about the game, though it still felt fresh so that's a good sign for replay-ability! Fun platformer that has a lot of the same elements as the first entry in the series-- gem collection, easy enemies to flame or headbutt, flying levels etc. One thing this game introduces is Orb Challenges, which is basically just a bunch of minigames, like playing ice hockey or follow-the-leader type games. None of the content is particularly difficult as the game is marketed toward children, and it even feels a bit easier than its predecessor. Popular Post Redgrave
#164: Dancing in Moonlight - Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight I'm not really good at rhythm games and truth be told I don't think I would have gotten as far as I did without the support modifiers especially on the later songs or ones on Hard and All Night difficulty. But it's a Persona game so either way it would have been worth it. A lot of the remixes were nice so I look forward to playing the other two dancing games to hear them. It's also probably the only way I'll really be able to play anything related to Persona 3 since there's been no sign of a remaster for a while ?

Popular Post MrGarland
Foxyland #71 (PS4) and #72 (PS Vita) It's been a while since my last double platinum, so i thought i would do one. And this is it. Really easy and quick (as you might expect). The PS4 version took me 26 minutes, while the Vita version took me 13 minutes. It could've been 10 minutes if i hadn't messed up several times, but i suppose my goal was to get it done in under 15 minutes and so i succeeded.
Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #78 Asura's Wrath Do you want to play an over the top, stylish, cool, shounen-like game? Do you like lots of QTEs? Do you want to experience a story made of conspiracy, betrayal, asian mythology, sci-fi and a very angry protagonist? So Asura's Wrath is the game for you. This game is very unique. The chapters are comprised of plenty of somewhat long cutscenes (many of them with QTEs) and combat segments between them. The combat is very simple, and after the tutorial you will know everything. You fight enemies until your burst gauge is maxed, and when the time comes, press R2 do advance the chapter. There are bosses, and each of them is unique, but all the battles are simples. But be ready to do counters, and this means to be ready to QTEs. The game is not hard. On normal you will never day, maybe on the final boss and that is it. Now the hard playthrough is another thing. The majority of the chapters didnt pose a threat, but some of the later ones had some troublesome sections. Getting the platinum is not too hard, but a bit boring. If you follow the guide and clear the game without seeing your gauge on easy, there is nothing to worry. Damage taken when using the Mortal gauge is massive, even on easy, but since completion time and battle rank is meaningless on this run, just be patient and careful and you will finish it in no time. Getting S rank on all missions on Normal is pretty easy. After you learn how to increase your battle score and know when the QTEs will show up, you will wonder why you couldnt do it on your first time. Also, the Obliterator gauge will help very much. Getting S on Hard may prove a bit difficult on later chapters. I had to replay some of the last set of chapters a few times because some encounters do really high damage, but unlike the Mortal playthrough, this time you must be quick AND have good battle score. But it's not frustrating like some other games out there, just not a walk in the park. What makes the game trophy is precisely this repetitive clearing of the game. If you play one time just to enjoy the story and learn things, you will have to clear the game 5 times. At the end I was a bit burned. There are many miscellaneous trophies, the majority related to combat, and you will eventually get them during you playthroughs. I didnt have to farm any of them. Others you will acquire without even realizing when skipping scenes. There are 2 that need something specific to do, but it will take just a few minutes and are on the beginning of a chapter, and since there are chapter select, there is nothing to worry about. In the end this is a short to medium, unique, exaggerated, action filled platinum. I dont know what took me too long to plat this game, because I would like to play a game similar to this on the future. Hell, even a remaster I would gladly accept.

Popular Post Desmuria
I am back once again with a bunch of games I finally managed to clear from my backlog. The more I look at my library, the more I realise just how deep it goes and it's quit daunting. Nevertheless, I shall persevere and attempt to get a chunk of the games completed before the New Year! #235 - Root Letter: Last Answer (√Letter: Last Answer) √Letter Last Answer You got all the trophies! Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 So, Root Letter: Last Answer is basically the same game as Root Letter, but with "live action" actors. The story is the same, with a few added extras. I earned the platinum for the original Root Letter last November, but it was nice to revisit the story. I really enjoyed the investigative work you have to do as you read along. Collecting items/evidence, hopping around different locations and quizzing/interrogating people for information. I found the 'Max Modes' to be a bit annoying, but it was very forgiving if you made a mistake and clicked too fast/slow. I loved the story and I enjoyed seeing all the different endings and how they all pan out. If you're a fan of the original Root Letter game and you want to expand on your experience, pick this one up! #236 - World End Syndrome Master of Mihate Town! Obtained all trophies. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Definitely one of the most boring and repetitive VNs I've ever played! There's hardly any dialogue choices, so all you do it move around the map three times in a day and do missions/events. Different locations will have different characters there, meaning you’ll uncover different parts of the story depending on where you visit. It took me almost 10 hours to complete this, because I kept getting easily distracted by other things. If you really like playing visual novel games, definitely consider this game. Just be prepared for the repetitive gameplay! If it has one thing going for it: it does a good job of blending romance, comedy with an undertone of horror/murder mystery. #237 - Jigsaw Zen True Zen Complete all Jigsaw Zen Trophies Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 1/10 I've always loved doing jigsaw puzzles, so this game was right up my alley. The platinum is super easy to obtain in about an hour. The music is soothing and the pictures you can piece together are lovely, I just wish there were more to choose from! It's definitely worth the price if you're looking for a relaxing time and/or an easy platinum. #238 - Punch Line Your rank went up! Your new rank is "Punchline Master!" Get all trophies. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I've been waiting for this VN to go on sale since its 2018 release and I finally managed to grab it. This game is utterly bonkers and I kinda love it! The game's protagonist is an ordinary looking guy called Yuta, who has a somewhat unusual ‘talent’. Looking at a lady’s panties will cause him to gain superhero-like strength (and no, I'm not even lying!) To make this even crazier, if you sneak a peek at a lady's undies twice in a row then an asteroid will hit the earth and wipe out everyone. I absolutely loved the animated sequences and the diagloue is heckin' funny. I implore everyone who likes anime or visual novels to try this game - it's absolutely insane, but has a lot of charm. If I see this go on sale for the PS Vita, I'll definitely be stacking this. I'm actually excited to play it again! #239 - Psychotic's Agatha Knife Goddess of Trophies You got all the trophies! Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Quite recently, I played Psychotic's MecaNika without even realising that its predecessor even existed. Agatha Knife is just as twisted as MecaNika, following the 7-year old butcher's daughter as she creates her own religion. As with the previous game, I loved the point-and-click goodness and I found the dialogue to be hilariously funny. I think I preferred Agatha Knife over MecaNika when it comes to the story, but they're both pretty good. The games have very dark and dirty humour, so it may not be for everyone. I would totally avoid this game if you're an animal lover and/or a vegan. I imagine it could be quite upsetting for some. If you're down for some piggy slaughter and mild occultism, pick this up! #240 - Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love Mythical Onion Collect all Trophies Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I absolutely love Artifex Mundi who developed this game. It's a step away from their usual style and I love what they tried to do. Unfortunately, the subject matter didn't interest me in the slightest. The game is all about communism during the Cold War era. Matryoshka (which is definitely not Russia) is a communist country that our protagonist wishes to visit and meet their Leader. Despite the game not being my cup of tea, I did enjoy the puzzles and the funny gags. I especially enjoyed looking at Evan's family tree to see Guybrush Threepwood on there. The tank puzzle near the end of the game frustrated me, because different guides said to press different buttons and it was messy. Besides that, it's a fun little game and I hope Artifex Mundi make another point-and-click adventure like this again. HELP NEEDED I have two visual novel games sat on my dash and I can't seem to find text walkthroughs for either of them: Our World Is Ended Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa If anyone knows where there's a decent text guides for these games, can you please DM me? I'd be eternally grateful.
Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #362 - Parappa the Rapper Hip Hop Hero Unlock all other trophies. You've gotta believe! A fast one here. I didn't bother purchasing this remaster (read "upscaled port") upon release. I had played it on the PS1, and knew it was a short title with many flaws, and reading messages, I knew those flaws had been completely ignored. But for the $5 or so for which I purchased it at the year-end sale, it was OK. I guess. My main issue is that nothing was really added to, or fixed about, the experience. An added record collection would have been nice. Alternate versions of songs would have been good. Or, at the very least, fixing stage 4 (not-so-protip: hit every note a half-beat early, and you'll knock out that annoyance in record time). Trophies were glitchy, but in a good way for me. I went back to get secrets on each of the levels after finishing. I got the trophy after finishing the first level alone. Again, I don't regret the roughly 3 hours I spend on the plat, but when it comes down to it, Parappa was not much different, plat-wise, to many of the Ratalaika games I have played, and that seems...wrong to me.
Popular Post timpurnat
Platinum #300 IA/VT Colorful プラチナトロフィー全てのトロフィーを獲得する Difficulty: 4/10 Time to platinum: 25h I finally found a cheap copy for only 20€. Had a blast playing this game, it has 60 songs which is a lot when comparing to other rhythm games like Project Diva ,persona. Songs and videos are way better than in project diva, but I prefer the gameplay in diva. I had a hard time getting used to single arow notes lol. It was a bit harder than diva, just because of step play, random notes(FUCK STEP 13) were really annoying but with a bit of practice, you can get through it easily. It's also my 300th plat and my 151st platinum this year lol
Popular Post Zach
#152 Prototype 2 (PS4) Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 16-17hrs Prototype 2 is fun as hell. Gameplay is king here for this game and it shows.Story is pretty good too, but the fun part of this game is definitely all the moves you get to use and the enemies you get to defeat. You will want to do two playthroughs because of the total exp you need basically requires it. Best option is do easy+collectibles, then NG+ on hard difficulty. Makes things way easier for you. First playthrough will take about 12hrs and the second will only take 4-5hrs. All and all, a pretty damn easy and fun platinum. Can we take a moment to agree how funny this was when Alex did this?

Popular Post iFraaN97
# 260 - Medievil Enjoyment : 7.5 / 10Difficulty: 3 / 10 This was one of the first games that I ever got to play back on the psx when I was a kid, so this remake obviously brought me too many good memories It's really cool that they brought back this franchise. I liked that they barely made any changes to the core of the game and the ones that they did, especially with some boss fights definitely were for the better, but the game felt terribly chunky at times, especially due to heavy fps drops. The remake looks great and the camera changes were definitely needed, but still, most of the times it feels like the game mechanics themselves are the biggest difficulty lol. So yeah, not a perfect remake by any means, but I loved how they kept the essence of the original, speaking of which, the original psx game is fully unlocked by reaching 100% completion, how freaking cool is that?

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #422: Difficulty: 2.5/10 Playtime: 1-2 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 I wasn't expecting so much fun from a deceptively simple looking retro space shooter... but fun times were indeed had. Every single upgrade and pickup counts and makes a difference, and there's just enough stuff happening to not become a bullet Hell mess while still requiring full concentration. It's just challenging enough to provide that sense of Pride and/or Accomplishment that is just sorely lacking more often than not in the EZPZ plat niche. Lillymo are quickly establishing themselves as a retro studio with a unique grasp on what makes old stuff so satisfying to play. I truly will enjoy stacking this one twice more... hell, when I'm done with the hunt, I even feel like getting all the upgrades and stuff because the gameplay is just that satisfying.
Popular Post TheFalseDeity
#55 - Dragon Quest XI Living LegendAwarded for earning all available trophies. Eh...was the game i used to try the series out and have concluded it just isnt for me. Nothing in particular i liked all that much and a few things i didnt. Dont regret giving it a try though. Plat is easy enough just time consuming. A couple of fights took a retry but really only due to rushing instead of setting up buffs/debuffs. And if you do the 99 grind as soon as its available most post game bosses would be a joke set up or no.

AK-1138
Platinum #428: Difficulty: 1.5/10 Playtime: 30 minutes to an hour Enjoyment: 5.5/10 Not much to say here. A thoroughly nondescript adventure game that wastes an interesting 80s premise with its lack of ambition and all-around aptitude. The writing is as dull as dishwater, and its (somewhat effective) minimalist atmosphere, despite a brave attempt at a tomato-in-the-mirror endgame twist, feels manipulative somehow. Unearned, if you know what I mean. If you want a cool retro adventure game that actually hits a lot of the sweet spots it's supposed to, and makes the most of its 80s period setting, Thimbleweed Park is an infinitely better choice. No, but(t) for possibly the most lovingly rendered rear end ever concocted in Adventure Game Studio, there is nothing to remember this by, save some trophies.
