Popular Post Draps-1337
#103 Raid: World War II 2/10 Enjoyment 6/10 Difficulty Its been like 20 platinums since I shared one in this thread. I'm back today with a super rare Platinum with Raid: World War II, I was lucky enough to find some other poor souls in Australia who were playing this because one of them in their group had it plaguing their backlog too, So I joined in. Navigating countless crashes (my final tally of crashes was 82! that's almost once per hour) having to constantly back up my save every hour or so to the cloud because of the imminent threat of save-data corruption from all the crashes. Looking forward to playing fewer buggy games over the next few weeks... Good luck with the hunting people! Popular Post Burek_san
Bullseye 219 - Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 I'm surprised by the game, especially the graphics though it's an old game i would love that they remaster it... I avoided the game because of mp trophies but in this one you can get it with just one other player and private match so its really easy to get all mp in 2 hours
Popular Post Trini
#139 - Day of the Tentacle Remastered (backlog game) My 3rd backlog game mop up for the year; I obtained this game back in January 2017 through ps plus, and with any other game, it just sat in my backlog until I decided to give it a go. I'm not fond of point and click games, and this one wasn't much different, sadly. I would say the way you obtain trophies was clever and humorous in a way; other than that, not a game I would say I cared about in the end.

Popular Post Sofa King
152: Zombies Ruined My Day Picked this up for a few dollars, looked like it could a fun game. It was actually a little better than expected and more challenging as well. Basically each level has a set number of zombies to kill to complete it. Certain ones drop various weapons that are your standard fare like shotguns, grenades, etc. Most of the game is fairly easy, but the later levels are tougher with dozens of zombies on screen at once. It takes some ammo management and a little planning for those, but nothing terribly hard. It's a short game, 3 levels with 9 stages each, boss fights being the last stage of each. None really posed much challenge though and were the easiest stages of the game. I didn't really expect to enjoy this game as much as I did, but it turned out to be a good time for one I never heard about and bought on a whim. Popular Post JoaLoft
#240 - Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Tackling five or six open-world games at a time may not have been the best approach to nailing more platinum trophies. Case in point: it's been almost two months since I got another platinum trophy, which is a lifetime in my "career of platting games". Cue Ubisoft, who released a remaster of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, which has become a cult classic since its release in the past decade and has a relatively easy trophy list to complete due to the game's linear structure. Scott Pilgrim's story is a fairly simple but entertaining one: he has a crush on Ramona Flowers. But sexy time will have to wait until he beats the League of Evil Exes: seven ex-boyfriends (one of them technically being a girlfriend) who must be defeated before he can win her over. The game is based on a graphic novel, which also spawned a movie, but I must preface: this adaptation focuses on other aspects. Where the novel and movie are a much more story-based experience, the game is essentially a love letter to the (retro) gaming industry and as such, puts the emphasis on just pure sidescrolling beat-em-up fun. You go through different chapters, beat up enemies, level up, unlock a new move with each level, collect coins and use those to buy power-ups, healing items etc. Each Evil Ex features as a boss in a main stage, all the way up to the seventh and final ex. Gameplay is straightforward but fun, and you can approach the chapters however you want: there are cheatcodes which do NOT disable trophies, you can grind early on to unlock the best power-up items at the video store in chapter 1, play in coop together- oh yes, I forgot to mention. This game also features online and offline coop up to four players and has a few extra modes which are neat but not important. You can share cash that you've accumulated to let other players buy power-ups as well. And factoring in that this is a definitive edition of sorts, you'll also have access to two extra characters in this version: Chau Knives and Wallace Wells, aside from Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Stephen Stills and Kim Pine, and a secret seventh character to unlock later. So you'll be playing the game plenty to level them all up and finish all stages with them, but more on that later. In short: game's short but great, although online stability could be better. Definitely worth playing! And watch the damn movie already if you haven't, if only for the cool special effects. Most frustrating trophy - "Chaudown" "Chaudown" requires you to "call all strikers" in-game. You see, every character has a few special moves and a supporting character to summon if things get a little ... dicey. These are the so-called "strikers", and to summon them, you'll need to finish the game multiple times with different characters. There are three strikers: Chau Knives, Mr. Chau (aka Daddy Chau) and Mrs. Chau (aka Mommy Chau). Chau Knives has four variations: one for Scott, Ramona, Stephen and Kim. So you'll need to finish the game with those four characters first and summon Chau Knives at least once. Then, as you play, keep an eye out for Mr. Chau who could randomly spawn on the world map and must be beaten in order to unlock as a "striker". When you've done all those things and beaten the game with Scott, Ramona, Stephen and Kim, you'll unlock that secret character I spoke of earlier. He's the only one capable of summoning Mrs. Chau, the last missing striker. The game's not long at all, but you can see how this trophy will take you at least five-six hours to obtain. Although the game can get just a little repetitive after six or seven playthroughs - because you still need to beat the game with Chau Knives and Wallace Wells as well for a few other trophies - its short length makes it manageable. And did I already say it's a really fun game to play, even more so in coop? That is, at the end of the day, what it's all about. Recommended!

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #78 - Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas Platinum - Get all other Trophies 2,351 Owners - 638 Achievers for a percentage of 27.14% (average completion; 38.85%) Enjoyment; 7/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Trophies; 5/10 (only four tiles, not much intrigue in the list, names so-so, but good tracking) Zelda "inspiration"; 10/10 Second Platinum of 2021, and a very, very enjoyable game at that - a real hidden gem, if you will. Oceanhorn was made by a handful of Fins and Nobuo Uematsu, the famous Final Fantasy composer who contributed a few tracks to the game. And you can tell, because the music in this game is just terrific. But for hat is essentially a small indie effort, this is a really robust and compelling title that offers a satisfying gameplay loop with great level design and gorgeous visuals - all of which performs exceptionally well on the Vita's somewhat modest hardware. To get the elephant in the room out of the door though, this game isn't inspired by The Legend of Zelda; Wind Waker as much as it almost shamelessly rips the entire thing off. Use your sailing boat to visit many different islands with gorgeous dungeons and environments, solve puzzles, collect the not-Triforce, and beat not-Ganon - it's just different enough for Nintendo not to sue, but it's not often I see a dev this outspoken in where they got their ideas from. But that's hardly an issue to me. An old saying in my native language holds that 'it is better to copy something good than think of something bad' and that very much goes for Oceanhorn here, and I really cannot commend its visual style and rich environments enough. The game doesn't drag on either; you can get the Platinum in eleven hours but I did it in about ten, with most every minute of the journey being enjoyable. No frustrating Trophies beyond one collectible and a triple kill you have to get a little lucky with. The game also does a great job of tracking Trophies for you as they are tied to in-game challenges, with the game suggesting which ones you should go for every time you arrive at an island. That really sped up the process, but you know what? At the end of the game, I slowed down just to enjoy the sights and sounds of the world of Arcadia, where the game is set, some more. Sailing the boat is such a nice experience even if it's on rails, and the nods to FF in the music are just a joy to catch. The game has separate PS4 and Vita stacks with the latter being much rarer (49.55% average on PS4 versus 38.85 on Vita) but no cross-buy, meaning that if you can cop this game on sale you can enjoy the experience twice with two Platinum Trophies to your name. And honestly, you could probably do them back to back and still not get bored. A good palate cleanser after doing harder/longer games (I had a lot of time go into New Little King's Story right before Oceanhorn, so this little game was just the ticket). Two thumbs up from me.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #576: Difficulty: 3.5/10 Playtime: 2-3 hours Enjoyment; 8/10 Okay, full disclosure here: as is my wont, I gave this game a quick tumble on a guest account just go get a taste of whether it'd be worth actually experiencing even if the option of skipping 93.7% of the game is available. In summation... yes, it bloody well was. So I made the conscientious decision to keep on playing it blind (I did skip a few of the more taxing puzzles, I won't lie... my mind palace ain't all that!) and then hunt the trophies on my main account later. So months after my initial full playthrough, here we are. For fear of spoiling a potentially good story experience for anyone else, I won't go into detail about the plot and that. What little I can say is that it concerns a girl and her massive straw hat and their search for someone called Evan (shocking, I know!) on a tropical island filled with platform puzzles. What remains of Evan Finch? (I didn't catch his last name so I made this up just for the sake of a hamfisted reference! Ah, top tier bants...) The answer might well be found somewhere on this biologically diverse landmass of puzzlery... it's an emotional rollercoaster that'll surely see you going up and down and up again as much as those slightly-taxing-yet-strangely-satisfying puzzles. The beautifully lush and smoothly-animated pixel graphics is a perfect reflection of the measured and graceful artisanship inherent to the storytelling. Brian Wilson (I can only assume it is the One True BDW because, well... I want it to be true so damn bad!) is credited as a crowdfunding backer, so obviously he knows what's up! Granted, he could just be biased due to the heavily beachy setting, but still. Also, if by some freak chance you get autonomous sensory meridian responses from the sound of rapid pencil scribbling (they exist... I think?) well... this game is pretty much gonna be Christmas come early. Suffice to say, this is a lot more just another easy platinum game, and you would do the developers--and indeed, yourself--a huge disservice treating it as such. Give it a chance and it may well give back tenfold.
Popular Post Conor
#91- DEMON'S SOULS [PS3] Toughest Soul Trophy All Trophies Obtained Enjoyment: 8/10 Challenge: 6/10 (7- 8 without duping) Time Taken: 1 week, 3 days, 14 hours (43 hours in-game) Rarity: 4.0% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 10.99% Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Soldier's Trophy- All Unique Weapons Obtained "You have a heart of gold, don't let them take it from you..." So I decided to get into Souls-like games properly. I've played a great deal of Bloodborne on an alt account, but now I want to have them all here on my main and so I start with the OG itself, Demon's Souls for the PS3. It is the one that started it all, of course, although its successor, Dark Souls is what propelled the series, developer From Software and even the general style of game into the stratosphere. For starters, anyone who says that this type of game is actually really easy is lying. It takes hours upon hours to learn how to effectively play this game and anything that takes that long cannot be called "easy". You die in three-four hits at most, you need to be extremely precise with your blocks, parries and dodges and it is very unforgiving. The learning curve is steep and the challenge keeps ramping up. The hit detection is pretty weird, perfect dodges still had me take damage. The level ups are very, very small; you'll hardly notice any difference until you level up a stat a fair few times. It's easy enough to farm for healing grass. There is little in the way of story- you're a lone warrior on a quest to save the Kingdom of Boletaria from the wicked demons that have flooded the once prosperous land with the goal of putting the Old One back to sleep. Awoken by the corrupt King Allant, your character must brave five different worlds and slay all the ArchDemons at the end of each to put an end to Boletaria's woes. You meet some other characters along the way to help them and they assist you at some points in return. Very little plot, but a lot of worldbuilding. Finding all the materials was a pain but I somehow got very lucky with the Pure Bladestone- some grind for hours upon hours, I got mine in like 30 minutes. I won't be doing another region stack because I doubt I'll be so lucky again! I used the duping trick to get all of the Spells, Miracles and special weapons in as little time as possible as I didn't want to have to do multiple playthroughs. But even in doing this I don't feel as if I missed out on anything, in spite of those who say "Demon's Souls doesn't really begin until New Game++!" Yeah, whatever! My biggest no-no with the game is how poorly a lot of key mechanics are explained. Look, I'm all for the approach of very little handholding, but when things that have such a major impact on the game such as World and Character Tendency are just not really explained at all, it's really annoying to have to look stuff up to stop me from being surprised by something downright unfair. They say the game is "tough but fair" but that's not always the case, some stuff is just downright BS though learning to overcome most of it was rewarding, albeit it felt like unnecessary obstacle on occasion. In all, I enjoyed my time with Demon's Souls and I look forward to playing other titles in the From Software lineup in the future, although I'm going to have to take a break for now! Popular Post Charizarzar
#133: Vampyr Time is on my side Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 I wasn't really enjoying this for the first hour or so. It's not the best looking game around and I ran into a ton of bugs and crashes- even sprinting down a street for 10 seconds caused the game to pause while the rest of the map loaded. There's no fast travel and for some reason they decided to include locked doors around each district, making it take three times as long to get to where you needed to. It did grow on me quite a lot once I got used to it though; the roleplaying aspect is fun (especially your actions often having big consequences) and the story was interesting. I was following Optinooby's brilliant video guide but unfortunately one of the characters died without me noticing and I had to do another playthrough for the melee weapons trophy. But it didn't take too long to run through it again at least.

Popular Post Viscera1900
#269 - Bayonetta (PS4) Acquire All Trophies "Acquire All Trophies" Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Completion time: 36 hours / 1 week, 1 day 10 years after its release, 10 years of hearing about how amazing action game Bayonetta is; I finally played Bayonetta and completed its trophy list. At first I wasn't able to get into it until I spent about 3 hours of playing it and unlocking more combat skills, getting good at it and having some chuckles during its story cutscenes. Many of you must've heard it already; The gameplay and those over the top story cutscenes reminds me a lot of Devil May Cry series. The story of this game is no award winning material, but it was interesting enough to keep you invested in and entertaining, because of the main character: Bayonetta. She doesn't take things too seriously and has lots of over the top moments during the story. Trophy wise it's really straightforward; complete the game 3 times, each on different difficulty mode. Like Devil May Cry games; completing the game on Normal mode and onwards is the most challenging aspect about this trophy list. Personally I didn't have too much difficulties of completing the game's challenge missions (Alfheim portals), but I can see other people having difficulties with this if they're not prepared enough; not having right accessories and combat skills unlocked before tackling those missions. Some of trophy related collectibles were really well hidden, but luckily it didn't take too much time of cleaning up those after your first playthough, since you can use chapter select.
Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #300 Pure Pool (PS4) 0.24% Rarity Where to start with this one. What a game I have had so much fun with this game over the last few years on and off trying to achieve the platinum and now I finally have. I'm a huge fan of cue sports in general and I remember being very excited when this first released about six or seven years ago. I didn't bother to look at any of the trophies or anything like that I just purchased and away I went, which started my strange adventure with this game. I saw a topic on this site a while ago describing white whale platinum's (That was a good read by the way I recommend others to search it up) and I was sure for the longest time that this game would be the one that got away from me. The title of the game itself would suggest that the game purely just is Pool, which it is and by itself I think is a very good reflection of that, the balls feel like the right weight and for the most part the physics work correctly when accounting for the different kinds of spin, all that good stuff. The nightmarish part however, comes from the ridiculous A.I difficulty which is probably where the notoriety comes from for this game being considered a pretty challenging platinum. I think people would probably be a little more positive about this game if the A.I would at least play actual pool shots instead of just being programmed to be able to pot from anywhere on the table despite being in a position on the table where the shot would be completely impossible for a human. It certainly is challenging, but once you get through the grueling career modes where you aren't allowed an aiming aid you are then faced with the grueling endurance test of a LONG LONG grind towards Grandmaster level. However, there was a time probably in around 2016 or 2017 where in my head I had just accepted that I probably would never be able to get the platinum in this game. Perhaps it was that peace of mind, that sort of kept me going back for more every now and then to try and beat another tournament or get a few levels higher, which eventually I did. If anybody has ever considered picking this up or are fond of Pool/ Snooker titles I implore you to please pick this up even if you think the difficulty/length might be overwhelming, it was a very fun experience in the end, good game to play against friends as well.Podcasts will be your friend for the long grind ahead haha!! Apologies for the semi long post I just wanted to share my little story with this interesting little game that eventually became a milestone for me. That is one of my favourite things about starting to post more and read this thread is all the interesting stories and experiences that people have had whilst on the road towards platinum's be they good or bad which are always refreshing! Popular Post StraightVege
All Done #255 Obviously a deeply personal work for the developer, SoS is a mental illness allegory that puts you in the role of an afflicted woman sailing throughout a European-esque flooded city, all the while dealing with attacks from monsters which represent the protagonist and her family, on a quest to heal them all. As you make progress via quite basic platforming and puzzling, the weather may change, altering the water level and allowing access to areas either previously submerged or out of reach. Like many similar indie titles that came before it, SoS hits most of the emotional story beats you'd expect from an artsy, narrative-focused game, and does basically nothing unique from a gameplay perspective. I feel like I've played this many times before, in various forms. It also didn't run well at all in the standard mode on a Pro, so I'd recommend switching to the "performance" setting. Voice acting is a mixed bag; maybe don't have your art person portray the main character next time. However, I did find the section on bullying to be almost too authentic, to the point where it actually made me uncomfortable—this is clearly someone's real past on display, and brought back memories of things I've personally dealt with. It's definitely the most poignant act in the game, but be cautious about playing this, if you're sensitive to certain subjects. I appreciate the sincere attempt to explore these issues, and the art design is very pleasing (although human characters look a bit off), but I doubt this game will stick in my mind for long. There's a good message here about learning when to let go, rather than smothering people with "help," but it's all slightly too on the nose, and the gameplay is derivative of other stuff. Popular Post DamagingRob
#503- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order A New Hope Earn all trophies Well, this kinda feels like a bunch of things thrown into a blender. Lol. Soulsborne-like combat, Uncharted/Tomb Raider-like platforming, and... WALL-E? But it works, I guess. Don't have much bad to say about it, other than there being waaaay too many collectibles.. The map completion trophy can be a nightmare, too. Missed one little area with an echo log, and spent quite awhile looking for it. Still went pretty fast, with me bingeing it pretty hard. And using the excellent walkthrough on Gamefaqs to cut down on wasted time. The only other thing to say, is an enemy type that struck me as odd. Maybe it's something that appears in the expanded universe, but to me felt out of place in Star Wars. I refer to the Spoiler skeletons. But yeah, good game with a nice story/characters. Even though it looks like I may have rushed it, I took every opportunity to talk to my crewmates for additional dialogue. Definitely worth the 99 cents I paid for it via the EA Play subscription.
