Popular Post sk_lp_him
#84 - Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition True Survivor Unlock every Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition trophy. I've finally completed all of the TR games on PS4. I'm big Lara fan and wanted to plat this game for a long time but the multiplayer part was putting me off. Thanks to my boosting group I got the online trophies first and saved the best (the campaign) for last. It's a great game and I hope we get some new adventures on PS5.

Popular Post Sofa King
150: Rainbows, Toilets & Unicorns So 150th platinum milestone and I went with this. Why? Honesly I just couldn't decide on some meaningful milestone and the title amused me enough to make it a fun milestone to have on my profile, rather than getting all zen and searching the deepness of my soul for a platinum. Maybe I need to lay off the Satan's Spinach a bit. The game itself is a bullet hell lite, and its difficulty is really low except for the touchy controls. A little tap takes you across the screen and makes some bosses a little more challenging than they should be. And it's very repetitive, each level is basically just reskinned enemies in accordance to the level theme. Religion, pop culture and politics to name a few. Those references are pretty funny at times, especially one boss fight against Trump's toupee. Retro graphics and sound if those are your jam as well. This isn't a game I'd highly recommend but it was fun and funny enough, forgettable but not regrettable. Maybe I'll give #200 some more thought and planning, but I've got a while til then. 151: Horizon Chase Turbo Just a few hours after 150 I finally finished this for my 2nd plat of the day. Not much to say about it. Fun, simple on-rails racer but a long slog for the plat. Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#59 The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (also 100%) Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 8/10 After many friends having praised about Isaac for ages I really wanted to play it. It really is a fun game but there is a lot to learn and it took me quite some time to memorize all the items and some of the strong synergies. As I never played many rogue likes I wasn't sure if I would like it... but I ended up really liking it. Some of the challenges and characters were frustrating but with perseverance and some backup saves it was doable. After MHW this one took me the second longest ending up with over 250h of playtime. I played daily challenges from the start because I knew it would take at least 30 days to get the unlocks associated with the challenges. I think the difficulty of Isaac lies with knowledge and luck. Yes luck... because with the right items everything can be broken. Greed mode was not a mode I really enjoyed. For unlocking keeper you basically had to break greed mode which was just dull. In the end I liked Isaac and with the new DLC coming I hope it will improve the game and not add lackluster characters or modes. With me basically almost only playing Isaac as late I am kinda burned out on it but I had a lot of fun with it. It is a great game to casually play but the plat or 100% might be too much for some.
Popular Post Katt
Final Fantasy VII Gaia's Guardian Obtain all trophies Never reached the end in the original PlayStation game. I'm glad I did it now. Man, the spanish localization is one of the worst I ever read. If I had played and finished this game in 1997, I would definitely be impressed with the quality of the scene at the end of the game. I can't believe the PS4 version has blocked scenes for the most popular spoiler in video games.
Popular Post StraightVege
Ultimate Shifter #254 | Gravity Rush 2 Much of what I praised about the amazing original game still applies, but my main concern coming out of GR1 was that the sequel might get too ambitious for its own good, and that did happen to some degree. While GR2 is certainly far more expansive in scope, it's also bogged down by a lot of annoying filler content, unnecessary features, and missteps the first game largely avoided. To begin with, there are way too many missions where you're restricted from using powers in one manner or another, the worst of which are the countless attempts at stealth. These segments are consistently horrible! One wrong move in a direction the designers didn't intend results in Kat instantly being spotted by guards who apparently possess 360° X-ray vision (the hovering vehicles can see you through walls), and back to the last checkpoint you go. I thought this was a superhero series, not a wannabe secret agent game, furniture moving simulator, photography title, or any of the other innumerable finicky tasks you're asked to perform for ingrates. Occasional player disempowerment or limitations can provide needed gameplay variety, and I understand that, but not when every other mission does it. Don't ask me to hand out coupons, when I should be delivering satisfying flying kicks to a monster's face. The only bright spot in some of the optional content is that the sense of humor is on point, and got my jaded ass to smile on more than one occasion. My favorite was assisting a son in preventing his father from drinking himself to death, by frantically running around to block the local bar entrances. The two new combat styles are mostly superfluous as well. Jupiter makes Kat extremely heavy, allowing for more powerful strikes, at the cost of maneuverability. In contrast, Lunar makes her light and floaty, drastically increasing attack speed. I tried to stay away from using these as much as possible, since they control strangely, and their unique moves are rarely desirable over those in the default gravity mode. Why even bother, when tossing objects with Stasis Throw is considerably more effective? An attempt to add complexity that didn't really work out in my view. In multiple instances, missions are set in confined environments that immediately expose every flaw in the otherwise awesome flight system. The camera goes absolutely haywire at times, in a way that would make anyone susceptible to motion sickness puke. I don't remember GR1 making this error nearly as often. The game is at its best when you're soaring above gorgeously detailed cityscapes, not awkwardly barreling down cluttered corridors. For goodness' sake, play to your strengths, devs! Besides the returning Hekseville, there's an additional massive metropolis this time, called Jirga Para Lhao, which has a decidedly Asian flavor in comparison to Hekseville's European flair. Impressively, you can fly back and forth between them without load times, although there is quite a bit of object pop-in, and the frame rate is lower than in the remastered original. These towns and their good-natured folks are actually incredibly charming when they aren't asking you to do some irritating, pointless busywork. I loved exploring them, and taking in the architectural sights; they have so much more personality than the cities in most other superhero titles. I'm sure the catchy soundtrack themes for each area plays a significant role in this, too. The new city is constructed in a meaningful way, such that the rich class resides on the highest island, with a progressively poorer population as you work your way down, and this ties into an unexpected revolutionary subplot. I surely didn't expect to help poor indigenous people retake their city from wealthy settlers in this game, but it was the strongest part of the early hours, and really grabbed my attention. A good deal of the overall story still doesn't add-up for me, but the bits and pieces I did catch were interesting enough that I didn't much mind. Gravity Rush 2 features one of best, most lengthy conclusions in gaming history, and they even had the nerve to hide it behind false credits—now that takes guts! Maybe not the wisest idea, but I respect the moxie on display. The political commentary and altruistic, environmentalist message in the final chapters powerfully hit home for me. All too prevalent is the toxic inclination to "let future generations worry about it." Outstanding finale! Bigger isn't always better, and in many ways, I preferred the first game's simpler approach. However, when GR2 takes the chains off and just lets you hurtle through the air, dancing around foes and effortlessly sprinting up the sides of beautiful urban structures, it feels every bit as refreshing as before. Give me this over homogeneous Western AAA's any day, flaws and all. It almost pains me to think that we're very unlikely to see another entry in this unique series, but perhaps it's for the best that it ends here, on a strong enough note. It would be a travesty if similar flight mechanics aren't implemented in a future franchise, though. The idea works too well to be abandoned. Popular Post DamagingRob
#502- Nexomon: Extinction The Age of Extinction Unlock all other trophies. The best Pokémon game in years? I guess that's not really fair, since I haven't played one in years.. Certainly a very good clone, though. Similar gameplay with some interesting tweaks on the mechanics, 381 monsters to play with, good story/music/graphics, and just a really nostalgic adventure. Have to thank @Nightstream88 for mentioning it in the January sale thread. Would have overlooked it, otherwise. After hearing about it, and researching it more, it sounded more and more like it was gonna be amazing. Eventually, I broke down and bought it. Unfortunately, there are some negatives that keep it from being a perfect game. 381 Nexomon sounds great... until you have to catch them all. Dealing with a lot of RNG in the process, and some performance issues (at least on a base PS4). Scrolling down the Nexodex to see what you're missing was a pain, and the game would sometimes hang a bit after battles. I often thought it might crash. It did so once when I was about an hour in, then never again. A way to simply switch equipment from one Nexomon to another would have also been nice. De-equipping and re-equipping got very old.. And last but not least, the absolute worst trophy in the game. Fighting every trainer twice with no way of tracking who you already fought. I probably made it worse, trying to save time. But still. Somehow, didn't rematch one, or thought it was one I'd already fought. Ended up fighting most of them at least 3 times.. Before hitting the post game, this was very enjoyable. But that kinda went out the window after. Lol. 45-46 hours total, with 15-20 being a post game grind. Overall though, would say I enjoyed it. And will definitely get a sequel, if it does get made. Not a bad value, even at full price. $20 for a game like Pokémon? The real Pokémon games are usually twice that or more, and never come down in price. :/ Platinum image: Spoiler
Popular Post Ode2Destruxion
Mask of Mists #26 Short adventure game that will waste a few hours but won't live long in the memory. Fun enough but very basic. Was surprised it had a platinum to be honest. As long as you look around thoroughly enough and don't miss anything you'll collect all the trophies as you go along so it will only require one playthrough for the platinum. There are 2 endings but the game auto saves for the last time before you choose an ending so you can go straight back on and select the other (as long as you make sure you collect all of the items along the way). 6/10

Popular Post Intoner_Zero
Plat #155- Tokyo Dark Remembrance Pretty ok VN, really shows its indie quality throughout the game. Not that it's a bad thing, but I couldn't help thinking it had an unpolished feel to it. Story flows pretty quickly, can't really get feels for most of the characters because of that. As par for the course, did too many playthroughs than I would have liked. (≧ロ≦) Plat #156- The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince Oh my goodness, this game felt so wonderful to me. I absolutely love the fairytale premise of it and the art & aesthetics had a cute-creepy quality as well. Gameplay is just some side scrolling journey with bits of platforming and puzzle solving to advance to the next stage. Playing as the Princess, you have to guide and somewhat protect the blind prince through your journey. I found the dynamic really precious and it made me love the pair so much more. Granted, there are some trying situations, but it's nothing that can't be solved with a little thinking and practice. A short and sweet game, complete with a happily ever after. ? Popular Post Mariner1534
#58: Yoku's Island Express It's a pinball Metroidvania (pintroidvania?), which sounds really weird on paper, but works surprisingly well. If you like both genres, it's definitely worth a look. It's not some sprawling epic that will seriously challenge you, but it's still a fun, breezy way to spend a couple days, especially if you need a "palate cleanser" game. Also really cute, with really pretty graphics and surprisingly good music. However, you'll 100% it in 10 hours tops, and I don't really see much replay-ability, so I'd wait for a sale if you're the type who wants to get a lot of bang for your buck. Plat is super easy, like the game itself. Beat the story/sidequests, get all the collectables, etc. Even though hunting around the map for items might seem awkward/annoying since you can't simply jump anywhere like a normal platformer, the map's not that large (plus there's limited fast travel), so it's not much of a hassle. You can find ways to track most of the various types of collectables, and you'll probably just find the rest on the way if you're thorough. Like I said earlier, the plat's easily doable in around 10 hours - I think I did it in 8 or 9. Popular Post yellowwindow7
All Trophies Obtained! / Outcast - Second Contact this game is a Tough Love for me, i likes it, it looks good, the voice acting is great at least to me and the music scores is awesome and i enjoyed this alien world, though despite that i heard it was heavily patched after release but it was still raided with bugs. i played it post patch and the game never crashed on me, not even once. but i discovered a lot's of bugs during my platinum journey, NPC's in the first region pop out of the ground like plants, animals that pulling carts the cart go crazy and start doing B-Boy dancing moves in the distance, saw a fish teleporting all over the water at top speed, stiff and janky animations in in-game cinematic's and during conversations, the jumping and platforming mechanics is really clunky... not a bug but i really hated the menus and how they works. this game is an open world action adventure, a remake of the PC's 1999 game, while the graphics and in game animations is vastly improved that now made the original looks like a canceled game, but they still used the original sound effects and animations during conversations and in game cinematic's ( which i mentioned above ) which results that the voice overs as much as it sound good but at some parts it sounded a bit muffed and low, and the animations on the newer characters models looks so outdated and out of the place as it made the characters moves like an animatronics but with a realistic looking models, i mean you see the characters looks really good and high quality but then they move around like if it's a late ps1 and early ps2 game. the first time i ever heard about this game was from a gaming magazine i bought back around 1997 if not mistaken in the magazine they said the game is a PC exclusive that supposed to have this huge open world interestingly the early footage in the magazine showing the game supposed to have a hand drawing digitized character but the rest of the game is all made in 3D, since then i was really wishing to play this game so badly, our PC at the time can barely ran ps2 quality games so when we got the ps3 i was hoping one day that the PC version to be remastered and ported to other platforms the ps3 included, but fast forward we got this remake on the ps4 in 2017.... God, we're So Old! ? one more game that now i can get rid of and remove it from my bucket list... the platinum can be unlocked way before even beating the game, thank god i'm not the type who buy games only for the trophies so i never finished the one last mission to get the platinum until i been told to go confront the last boss. if you hate back tracking and Earned Boy stuff, Don't Get This Game! this whole game is basically that, and traveling from a region to another can be really annoying as you have to travel using some sort of of a portals and they're far from each other, the weird names of the NPC's will gonna made it harder to memorize everyone and their locations especially that when you met someone his name can be seen in the map when you bring it up but the game have this stupid update system to the map as when you leave the region and return to it all the names and locations of each NPC's on the region will be deleted off the map as you have to walk past each NPC to registered it again, i had to explore each region and discover all the NPC's then took a screenshot of the map with everyone's name in it so when i been tasked to return to a specific NPC i can just look for their name from the screenshots a took. and finally, what the heck is it with BIGBEN? every game they make or publish is always a buggy mess, i don't like bigben works but this game is the only thing i wanted to play that they own the publishing rights to it.
Popular Post Trini
#138 - Puppeteer (backlog game) An underrated ps3 gem, my first ps3 platinum in a LONG time, and a theatrical classic at that. I've been scanning through my backlog as of late and realized that I never completed the platinum for one of the best games to ever come out of the ps3's lifecycle, and immediately I knew I had to change that. Puppeteer is one of the most creative games I've ever had the pleasure of playing; the entire game is a beautifully crafted theatrical performance full of charm that also provides some laughs along the way. With that said, on the flip side, the platinum could be very annoying if you don't follow the guide carefully, which I believe is what caused me to derail from it until now. If you still have your ps3 around, then do yourself a favor and get this ps3 classic; if you haven't already, you will not regret it one bit.

If you're a lifelong PlayStation gamer as myself and has played just about every major exclusive or major franchise PlayStation has to offer, then this short but extremely enjoyable game is perfect for you to have fun with and reminisce on the visual history of PlayStation’s past and present 10/10 Edited January 25, 2021 by Property_Damage

Popular Post preciseRNG
#42 GreedFall Trophy Platinum 4.73% Ultra Rare Thank god there are gems in PS+ every now and then. As for this game I did not even know of it. Even though it's not a AAA title, it does so much right! The story telling is superb and I got good old Dragon's Dogma vibes! The voice acting and syncing is better than in most big games that's for sure. The controls are a bit awkward in some places, especially if you main your guns but overall not too big of a deal. Graphics are good, but a little bit too brown-ish for me, but suits the setting I guess. The set of trophies is mostly fun but you have to keep a lot of things in mind, be sure to check out the guide, it can get a bit repetetive when grinding out all the different endings but I had worse. I am very happy to have played it and would recommend it to anyone who loves RPGs, this is definitely a very enjoyable one. As of now it's an UR plat but this cleary comes from current PS+ players, I think it will be a Very Rare soon but it won't go over 6.xx% I guess? Time to plat about 40-45 hours for me.
