Popular Post demonoutcast
#79 - Max Payne 3 Feels nice being in the Top 5 Fastest Super nostalgic revisiting MP3 for the first time since it came out in 2012; Really enjoyed the multiplayer on xbox 360 when it was still active. It was something else with friends. But those days are long over . Just like Max said in MP2 "I kept my eyes on the road, off the rear-view mirror and the road kill behind me." The whole way through I wanted this to end but at the same time make a difference for myself. Obtaining this Platinum Trophy requires a severe amount of patience, time, and luck. If you think you're up for the challenge and have the sanity, then by all means go for it! The Requirements: Beat the game 5 times on individual playthroughs (Hard can be stacked with Normal), Get all the easy collectibles/miscellaneous trophies, and Obtain all the multiplayer trophies (Ranks, Victories, Game Modes, Weapons, and Misc; All of these can be boosted with up to 4 People (As for DLC, some trophies require 5). The Endurance: New York Minute Hardcore, and Reaching Rank 50. These two trophies will be the ones break you because of how stress inducing and repetitive they will be. For New York Minute Hardcore, you have to beat the game under a timer without dying once and in one sitting (If you die, you go back to the beginning of the game; That means No checkpoints, No save scumming, No chapter selecting. The entire playthrough must be completed from start to finish and will heavily revolve around your timing and skill. For Reaching Rank 50 will be the long and tedious grind where you will have to replay Chapter IV 620 times in Score Attack for a total of 30+ Hours! The Advice for NYM Hardcore: - NYM Hardcore; Never attempt this mode more than twice a day; It will be more frustrating trust me. Use Golden Guns if you have to (I didn't have any glitches with them on the digital version), Try to abuse Bullet-Time and the Uncharted cover mechanic for this; Going into cover by regularly seems to cause more problems and leave you more exposed during gunfights, Use NYM to practice for levels if you get stuck on annoying chapters, Follow guides for pain killers and enemies (These are crucial to surviving this mode!), Never Dual-Wield guns they will waste ammo, Lastly and most importantly stay calm! If you can do all these then I'm guaranteed you will be able to conquer this mode Enjoyment: 8/10 Time: 80+ Hours (Including all DLC's) Difficulty: 8/10 Edited July 21, 2018 by demonoutcast
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#209 - Monster Hunter: World Conqueror of the New World Unlock all trophies for Monster Hunter: World. It's been a long time in the making (roughly 300 hours of playtime), but I finally got this platinum! It's funny, I wasn't particularly looking forward to this game when it was announced due to my experiences with the monster hunting genre before (primarily God Eater). I only became interested in the game when I heard a bunch of people on this site praising it. Purchasing the game was a last second decision, and as it turns out, that ended up being a really god call. As far as games of this type go, it's the cream of the crop - there's so much content and the scale of the world and the monsters is quite stunning. Luckily for me, it's also a game that's very friendly to new players which is something I really appreciate. I remember around launch, there were a lot of people speculating that platinum would take upwards of 1000 hours which definitely isn't true. The majority of the crowns needed can be obtained quite easily from the rotating event quests they do. Pretty much the only crowns you have to go out of your way to grind with investigations are the Elder Dragons, but once you know the trick behind them (only play ones with gold rank rewards and abandon quest if it doesn't look big/small enough), it wasn't so bad. I played the game almost exclusively with my buddy @Redgrave, so I'm sure that helped the grind go by fast too. Here's what my character and Palico looked like at the end (pretty cool-looking, eh? ). (The playtime is a bit less than it should be because I had to reload my PS+ a number of times to save on investigation uses) I've never played a game before where 100 hours went by and it felt more like 10. That's just a testament to how incredibly fun and addictive this game is - I couldn't put the thing down around launch! But yeah, I'd definitely recommend the game to anyone even if you're not really into the monster hunting genre. You might just end up falling in love with the game like I did.

Popular Post FarSideOfSaturn
#28 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS4) - Julius Caesar - Win every trophy Whoever decided failing sync requirements is permanent until a restart from scratch is a monster. So, Brotherhood picks up where AC II left off in the modern day with Desmond and his unlikeable squad on the run from Abstergo while seeking out Ezio's piece of Eden, meanwhile back in the 16th century Ezio makes some new enemies, the Borgia family. So off we fuck to Rome to simultaneously play musketeer and real estate agent. When in Rome...buy half the city apparently Brotherhood isn't quite the leap from its predecessor the way AC II was, but generally I think an all round improvement. Rome is a great setting for a AC game with the city claustrophobic and compact with little free space, which allows the freerunning to flow as it should, which itself benefits from a slightly smoother and faster animation than last time out. It feels lively too, with people out drinking, eating, sweeping, carrying around lanterns at night, no one in Rome seems to stop for a second. Meanwhile the surrounding countryside, populated with small towns, old ruins and landmarks such as the Colosseum makes up most of the map and generally looks as good as the city does. Though I found it a bit strange just how busy the countryside is, the atmosphere created back in the city is great but out in the sticks, it feels overly loud and clustered with people. The people of Rome need a chill button when they're out here, seriously. 95% of my screenshots are sunsets But how do we navigate 16th century Rome? With...more or less the same controls as AC II. We did get some new stuff to play with though, the most important of which is the execution streak ability. While AC1 & II focused more on defence and parrying/blocking, Brotherhood gives us the option to be more offensive. In short, an execution streak is activated when you kill an enemy, then target a nearby enemy who'll die in one hit if you make contact, and you can keep that going as long as there's an enemy in range, or until you're hit or grabbed. It looks awesome and it's surprisingly user friendly which isn't something I expect from an AC games controls. There's some new equipment too, most notably an OP crossbow and a not so OP parachute. One feature that carried over from AC II was the ability to renovate Rome (replacing Monteriggioni from AC II). You do this by opening shops around the city, the more you build, the more income you generate and you get discounts off stuff you'll need like weapons and medicine. You can also renovate the cities tunnels, allowing for fast travel or landmarks around the city for extra income. Overall the only benefits from renovating anything is income and discounts but it is pretty cool owning a large chunk of Rome by the end of the game. Before I move on, I'd like to point out that people actually look like people this time I mentioned at the beginning that the story carries on from where AC II left us. While I didn't feel like it reached the heights of AC 1 & II, I was satisfied with Ezio's portion of the story but the modern day story didn't really grab my interest until it saved itself with a twist at the very end so I can't wait to start Revelations. Obviously there's still people out there who'll be playing this for the first time so I'll avoid too much detail. In the PS4 version we're forced to play the Da Vinci disappearance DLC, I had no problem with the gameplay and generally had fun, but the conclusion to that storyline was really disappointing. I'd have hated to have paid for that when it was released. Same goes for the guild side quests, in fact side quests in general. They seemed to be hinting during cutscenes at our actions in side quests and guild quests having a greater impact and purpose in the world around us but that didn't happen. While it's not strictly storyline, the introduction of the Assassin's Guild is a great idea. The guild allows you to go out, recruit assassins, train them and send them out on missions or even better, have them assist you in battle. They're a lifesaver for some of the 100% requirements that you'll need for the platinum. The shrines from AC II return in the form of Romulus lairs and serve as a fun distraction from the main story So, you want to platinum Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, how is it? Well, it's tougher and time consuming than AC II but it's not too bad outside of a handful of annoying requirements in game. The trophy you'll spend the most time on is il Principe which wants us to complete additional objectives on mission for 100%. These could be complete a mission within a certain timeframe, kill an enemy with a certain weapon, don't get spotted, don't take damage and so on. While the majority of mission requirements can be done first time or within a handful of tries, a couple stand out as being annoying. In particular, the "Hells on Wheels" mission which requires no damage to be taken while in control of an early version of a tank. The problem with that is when you do take damage you're forced to restart the entire mission, meaning a lot of replays of the same ten minute section before you get into the tank might be needed unless you're either awesome or lucky. A sidequest "Young at Heart" is a pain in the arse too and has to be completed almost flawlessly and at speed across some tricky terrain. Outside of il Principe, the rest of the trophies are fairly easy with the only time consuming trophy being the flag collectable of which there's 101 to collect. Luckily, this time round we can buy a map that'll display their location and greatly reduces the time needed. I came in at 41 hours overall, but as usual I took my time and did a lot of exploring. Someone going straight for the platinum can easily shave a few hours off that time. Overall, Ezio's story plays out well while the modern day is shoved aside until an interesting twist at the end with some fun missions and puzzles thrown in there, entertaining and visually appealing location, great soundtrack and some great new features. The bad points, the segments in the modern day feel a bit boring as nothing really happens for the majority of the modern world storyline and just leaves you hanging to get back to Ezio, also the controls and camera angles are still a bit wild on occasion. The good outweighs the bad though and makes this a great follow up to AC II. Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#232 - Injustice 2 So this was my Ultra Rare plat for the letter I But how was the actual game Read on to find out. This game does a lot of really good stuff. Like Mortal Kombat 9 I really enjoyed the story as it got you familiar with the characters and it was just the right length. The part I found funny was Superman and Wonder Woman were treated like complete shits here and super awesome Batman was just super awesome and you should love Batman because he is super awesome....now I actually do love Batman but even if you were a Superman/Wonder Woman fan you would have completely hated them by the end of this game. The fighting was solid. What I like about games like this and MK is it is easy enough for someone like me to pick up the game and play. Even when I went online there were people who could completely destroy me (I am not great at fighting games) but I found enough people that were around my skill level that I was able to do all the Ranked Trophies. Also they got rid of the stupid King of the Hill trophy that plagues Mortal Kombat...seriously it is bullshit (oh you won 3 matches in a row...0 respect points). The graphics were very good in this game. It was one of the more impressive PS4 games I have played so far. The Multiverse was fun and mixed up how you played and earned Mother Boxes...but that leads us to the negatives. STUPID FUCKING MOTHERBOXES AND STUPID FUCKING CAT CALL. Seriously what the fuck were they thinking with Cat Call. For those who don't know Cat Call is an ability of Catwoman. Every character starts with a handful of abilities and can earn more by randomly finding them in Mother Boxes or by beating an Ability Challenge. Now for the most part...who cares as you are probably never going to use Captain Cold or Poison Ivy so it doesn't matter if you get all their abilities...but Catwoman's Cat Call is needed for 1 random trophy in the game. Now all the characters have an "ability trophy" but the rest all come unlocked at the beginning of the game...EXCEPT STUPID MOTHER FUCKING CAT CALL. So I opened well over 3000 Mother Boxes and I finally got Cat Call by finding an Ability event with 5 minutes to spare beating it and it finally unlocking....yay...I used the power once against Cheetah...got the Cat Fight trophy and never used it again. So worth it. So do I recommend buying this as just a fighting game...I like Mortal Kombat 9 more..but I liked this game more than Mortal Kombat X. If you want an easy fighting game plat...well it is that, just watch out for Cat Call.

The game starts off simple enough all the way up to chapter 8. Then the story line endings just burst out of nowhere and make it so random. There's hints through out the game that was going to happen but it just happens so randomly after it being so calm. Three weird endings and two normal endings I would say with the actual final playthrough being the best ending and I'm glad it happened. Most characters are okay, some more annoying than others. Looking at you "Four eyes" especially the lead "Max" he seems to be a bit of a idiot to be honest. Some of his methods for getting information were a little unorthodox if you ask me. Speaking of nicknames. The ones in this game are just so random and most of them are insulting. There's Four eyes, Bitch, Shorty, Snappy, Monkey and Bestie. Some are fine sure but it just felt so out of place whenever Max was using them. Like there's a scene where Max meets "fatty's" wife in a shop and he's like "How's Fatty doing" like wtf you barely know these people. Everything is just simple really, you just make use of your menu throughout the game and you go on a good adventure. I really enjoyed it at least. I purchased this for the PS4 & Vita about 6 weeks. Enjoyed reading your own personal review on this, made me chuckle too. On 20/07/2018 at 6:04 PM, Yoey_666 said: #251 - Chaos on Deponia I just love Deponia. Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 187 - ZERO TIME DILEMMA Date of Achievement : July 19 , 2018 Enjoyment : 9,0 Difficult : 2,0Hardest Trophy : SHIFTer Zero Time Dilemma is the third and final entry in the Zero Series. it's set between the events of 999 and Virtue Last Reward where it follows the story of 9 characters from both games, they all are forced to participate in a survive "Decision Game", a live or die experimentation game set by Zero. The game starts with a 9 participants locked in a cell with no memory of what happened, soon after a masked man named Zero appears and demands a flip coin game, a little luck game that will decide if they will leave the facility or participate in a death game. Regardless of the outcome, the game begins. Zero Time Dilemma just like it's predecessors allows the players to experience infinite possibilities, everything you do counts and with it the fate of all characters involved, so think carefully or witness the gruesome end of those unlucky ones. Zero Time Dilemma is a incredible game, one that should be played by all players that enjoy novel/puzzle games, i'll definitely miss the series.

Popular Post madbuk
#263 - Darksiders II I'm so glad to finally have this done. I've been trying to get into it for years, but it just never gripped me in the way Darksiders 1 did and I wasn't even sure why. The platforming is an improvement, for a start. I think that the large amount of bloat is what ultimately stopped this game being overly appealing. Darksiders 1 is a very linear, curated experience that doesn't give you much reason to stop unless you're seeking out collectibles as you go (which were actually worth finding unlike the ones in this). This game has side quests, optional dungeons, large, barren hub areas and really just none of it is interesting or worth engaging in outside of the trophies involved with doing them. The optional dungeons were all incredibly short anyway and lacked any interesting puzzles or rewarding loot so why bother? With the announcement of Darksiders 3, I decided it was time to go back to this and push myself to see it through to the end so I'll be ready for the third game, which hopefully will be as enjoyable as Darksiders 1 and not as lukewarm as this. Having now seen the game through to the end, I will say it's better than I was initially giving it credit for. The dungeons do get more complex as you go further - one of my biggest issues was how easy all of the puzzles and platforming were. Some late game puzzles actually stumped me for a while and I loved that. I died over 100 times in combat in this because I started on Deathinitive difficulty, a new difficulty for the PS4 version harder than Apocalypse. Some of the fights are really frustrating and the camera works against you in the smaller areas. It's so easy to dodge into a corner and then be essentially stunlocked to death as a result. Eventually, about halfway into the game, I realized that Mercy, the gun that Death has, is great at restoring Wrath - and then you can use Wrath to use Teleport Slash, which heals you. A lot of the fights ended up being avoiding attacks and just using Mercy and Teleport Slash instead of the actual weapons like scythes, hammers, claws, etc. that they expect you to use to fight things with. While there was a lot of frustration throughout the game, I will admit that it was very satisfying every time you beat a fight. Even the regular mob enemies are a challenge on Deathinitive. The story wasn't very interesting at all, and largely felt unnecessary. Darksiders 1 ends on a cliffhanger and then they release this which essentially feels like filler. I worry Darksiders 3 will also feel like filler as it also takes place during (or before?) Darksiders 1, but maybe they'll surprise us. What I really want from Darksiders 3 is for it to be as well paced and well structured as Darksiders 1 was. Bring back the idea of lifestones, which give you an entire extra health bar but also increase the damage enemies deal as you progress. In Darksiders 2, the health you start with is essentially the health you're stuck with. The Diablo loot system and maybe leveling is the only way to improve it and the Diablo loot is RNG (and it's also really tedious to compare items every time a new one drops, which is a regular occurence). Take away all the uninteresting side quests, take away the Diablo loot system, removing the leveling would be nice as well, and just in general make it as well balanced as the first game. That game didn't need large inventory tabs dedicated to loot, because there was no loot. And that made all fights fair - you know the game gave you the tools you need to succeed, because there wasn't much else you could get in addition to what the game always gives you. In Darksiders 2, if you weren't given any good loot, RIP. Darksiders 3 appears to have a smaller budget and I'm hoping that ends up working in its favour to create a more polished and curated experience than what we got here, because they simply dont have the budget to do otherwise. But who knows, we'll see in a few months. I adored Darksiders 1 so I'm still very excited for the third game, but this was really disappointing.

Popular Post SlimSanta94
Platinum 175 - Surgeon Simulator Enjoyment - 8/10 Difficulty - 8/10 This was a weird one.. I had a lot of fun with this game while playing it casually, it was very funny because of how unpredictable the game was because of the terrible control and countless glitches. I seemed to have more fun experimenting and seeing what stupid things I could do to kill my patient instead of actually progressing and this is why it took me 2 years to get the platinum This was by no means the brutally difficult platinum trophy that it's been hyped up to be, even with the inclusion of the patch that requires A++ rating on all 20 missions. Earning the platinum trophy on this game was weird in the sense that all of the difficulty came from the terrible control and not actually from the game itself, so once you learn how the game works, how to do each operation quickly and without losing any blood and most importantly when you get used to the controls, the game becomes much, much easier to complete. What I will say though is that 3 weeks ago when I began playing this game primarily to get the trophies, this very quickly became the most annoying game I have ever played in my life for two simple reasons. The first being that in the last 15 missions of the game your chances of getting A++ greatly rely on RNG, which I shouldn't have to say is extremely annoying and is the main reason i've given this game an 8/10 for difficulty. In the corridor missions you're often left waiting for over a minute for a piece of equipment or a body part you might need to pass by so you can continue, in the ambulance you have to pray the vehicle doesn't rock back and forth too often and at times when it does your patient can get hit in the head with a fire extinguisher, causing him to lose 1000ml of blood instantly and prompting an instant restart and in space equipment often flies out of reach and particularly in the eye transplant your patient could start with a blue syringe sticking out of his head, which will force you to restart before you even begin. The second reason is that there is a glitch in this game (you may notice it pretty quickly if you play it) where you'll attempt to grip a piece of equipment such as a scalpel or a syringe and a lot of the time you will lose your grip on it and it glitch through your hand and fly out of reach. I cannot tell you how many operations I failed because of this glitch, but it was a lot and it really pissed me off to the point where I had to restrain myself from throwing my controller at the TV a few times.. It was bad Overall this isn't a difficult platinum, but the trophies were seemingly thought up to annoy whoever tries to get them as much as possible. Do not even try to play this if you're the type of person that rages easily, you need so much patience for this game.
