Popular Post Bumperklever
#84 Persona 4: Dancing All Night (PS4)Dancing All NightDate Achieved: 15 December 2018Rarity: Uncommon (29-30%)Enjoyment: 9/10 I guess this would be a really big erratum on this game since my thoughts completely shifted. Difference being that I finished my first playtrough and platted it. So I am more familiar with the music and Since that was back in april, I kinda have a nostalgic feeling towards the music. And seeing that the newer dancing games have less stuff in general all counts towards my better experience with this game. Previous time, I said this game is OK, basically saying that the story was decent and gameplay is OK, but my look at such a game kinda changes. First of all the music is more matched to rhytm games then the P3 and P5 dancing games which makes it easier to make better songs. In general I feel like P3 and P5 dancing has a few good songs, but consistently decent. While P4D has consistently good songs. They even let me enjoy that Junes song, because it is so happy toned and with nanako in the background. Characters are also much better in this game purely since dancing in these games are supposed to be sorta lighthearted Obviously persona 4 is in general a lighthearted game in comparison to the darker toned P5 and serious toned P3. It also helps that persona 4 does not have socially awkward/ easily embarrassed characters. I disliked fuuka for example. Lastly the characters just fit more together like friends and less like business partners. Last point is that I feel like the dancing choreographic is more well done in P4D then P5D and P3D. This probably comes because of the more action fullness of more zooming and colorful intersections. I also notice that I focused on the middle more then P3D and P5D for reasons I cannot explain. If you wanna buy a persona dancing game then I highly recommend this one, this is the more fuller experience. However I do say that P3D and P5D looks nice due to making with PS4 in mind. As an example for the dancing choreographic, I compare the 2 "heaviest" dancing songs together in P4D and P3D: Spoiler Spoiler Which one does more match with the music, I say the P4D one since you feel tha powah. And sure it could be that they use Ken as the main dancer, but then they should have used akihiko or something. But thats just my opinion, every have there own preferences Edited December 15, 2018 by Bumperklever

Popular Post KevlarPrime
#40: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Master of the Secret Arts - Obtained all trophies. It was a fine game despite the questionable storyline of Ryu going emo while dealing with the Grip of Murder throughout. It certainly fixed issues that plagued the original version. Ultimate Ninja difficulty was cheap to the core with the grabs, it almost had me taking my DS3 controller and throw it towards my TV. Completing online mode was a definite grind since not many people are on there, but I got through it. The scythe clearly made the Master and Ultimate Ninja trials more tolerable. Time for me to seriously think about which game should have the honor of being the 50th Platinum.
Popular Post Carol
#143 Far Cry 5 We Always Had Faith In You Obtain all the Trophies FC3 is one of my favourite PS3 games. It's a game with a lot of soul, isn't it? FC4, unfortunately, disappointed me, since I didn't have much fun playing it. I still wanted to play this fifth entry, although I waited a while, so I could get the gold edition a bit cheaper. Fortunately, I liked FC5 much more than the previous game. It's not as good as FC3, but it's very enjoyable, relaxing and fun. You have to liberate three regions from the influence of a doomsday cult. To achieve that you have to gain resistance points in each region, by completing missions, liberating outposts and doing many other activities. When you have enough control over each region, you have to face and kill the respective cult leader. I actually felt empathy for one of the villains, Faith. I know she's fanatic, but I found her sweet and childish in a good way; the places and events that surround her are also very feminine and mystical and I liked that a lot too. Unfortunately, I had to kill her, since the game gave me no choice. I know that people complain a lot about the ending, but I actually liked it. It's not the classic ending "become part of the resistance, kill the villain and everyone lives happily ever after". Instead, it's funny and original and I appreciated that. I understand that people feel that all the work that we had during the story was made useless by the ending, but I just didn't feel that way, maybe because, for me, these types of games are much more about the gameplay than about the story, so the ending actually surprised me. Trophy-wise, the platinum is easy, although a bit time-consuming. All the fishing that you have to do for the platinum seemed a bit scary, in the beginning, but I actually ended up having a lot of fun fishing.and I actually didn't find it hard at all, once I got the hang of it. In conclusion, I recommend FC5 if you are looking for an enjoyable and beautiful-looking open-world game, with activities that are a lot of fun to do, like liberating outposts, fishing and completing treasure hunts.

Elvick_
Platinum #152 G-Force 100% Complete! You have unlocked every other trophy What an ugly plat icon, lol. The idea of it is cute, but the execution is a 0/10. (that's why I put the banner image too...) Anyhoo... This was actually pretty good. I'd compare it to Ratchet and Clank. It's a little rough, not as rough as the first R&C game since it does have strafing, and refilling all your ammo at once at the vendor. But, it's got a few issues like the aiming is a bit off at times which made the trophy for getting accuracy of 80% or higher more stressful than needed. Despite standing still and carefully positioning your shot it completely whiffs the enemy anyway going way off course. Granted this is more an issue at really long distances. One thing that this doesn't have that the first R&C did is a new game plus. Which would have made the game 10000x more fun the second playthrough. Which leads me to say say it's more fun to play than it is to platinum, because both the speedrun [at least doing so on the hardest difficulty] and the 80% accuracy trophy don't really lend well to the gameplay. During the 80% run I was following a collectable guide too which is always a pain in the ass and makes things tedious. Since you have to get things in one go. Which made the game super slow the first playthrough even more because I was not only pausing to follow a text [and later video] guide but also to aim. Which wasn't very fun, it also forced me to use specific weapons because I wasn't comfortable with the others and if they would benefit [or harm] my accuracy overall. Second playthrough I'm freed of those shackles, and placed once again with speed. Granted, there's plenty of time to get through the game in 8 hours normally. I watched a guide just to be super sure, and still had 3 hours to spare while being way slower. I went out of my way to grab some of the power ups I remembered so I wouldn't have as hard of a time. Since the walkthrough I was watching [I'd say speedrun but he died so many times that it's hard to qualify it as one], but anyway... the walkthrough was on easy and I was on the 'very hard' that unlocks after beating the game once. And with just 3 lives I still had a few problems due to how hard it was, especially since I wasn't getting as much money or all the upgrades I had my first playthrough. Had I been able to carry over that 100% save into this playthrough like R&C allows, it would have been insanely fun. And it would've let you bypass a few parts by getting you access to weapons that you'd have to otherwise wait for [flamethrowing to bypass the ice that blocks your path until you get it yourself]. I'm pretty sure every ice block is actually physically blocking an area you later go into, so it's not like it would break the game. Mayyyybe the first barrier you ever see doesn't? I'm not sure, but they could've just shifted things around to make it work. Such a shame, I honestly would've called it a great game if it had a NG+. The level design was pretty good, the highest difficulty disables the onscreen markers for where to go which is something a lot of games should do but don't for some reason [part of why I watched a guide just to be sure I wouldn't waste so much time - still did though lol]. Developers really should factor in how fun it is to do something for the trophies and design their game in a way that makes it fun to do and doesn't make you feel like you're being punished. You barely even get to use the flamethrower since you get it near the end of the game. It's pretty shit anyway, but still. I have no idea if this is the story of the movie or takes place after the movie, it kind of sounded like it took place after? But maybe it's pieces of the movie, I don't know. I have no desire to watch the movie. The game is still kind of dumb just because of it's concept, running around on all fours avoiding a bunch of bullets and flying electric shavers attacking you is just funny to see. Story was predictable, saw where it was going the first chance you get... I'd say something more specific, but that in and of itself would make it pretty obvious. I liked the gameplay of the fly character too, though it was a bit wonky at times. Particularly on where you could go through, the very top and bottom openings of vents that open/close can't let you fly in for some reason even though there's visually room. And trying to grab something is finnicky. But it was cool how it was used for puzzles, and how much you can figure out what to do with that fly that probably wasn't intended. Even though I didn't have all my ammo upgrades, character upgrades and all that during the second playthrough being free of needing to land ranged attacks really showed me how fun the game could be. I do wish they let you skip ingame cutscenes though, it's really annoying when games don't let you do that. Do we really need to see panning shots of a level we've been through already? Come on game. At least you can skip full on cutscenes, but there were probably like 4 of them total. Despite trophy problems, I'd still say it's worth a try. I played on PS Now and since it didn't cost me anything additional it was well worth the time.

What I wanted the most after finishing it is for Yamazaki to have his own route. And I guess my wish was granted. So far, my fave routea are: Yamazaki, Harada and Kazama. Popular Post Dark Layla
#149 - Wolfenstein 2 : New colossusFirst of all I have to say that today I will probably be voiceless after screaming loudly after this stage! A few months ago I had left the game for lack of motivation thanks to the constant deaths I had (and also for wanting to play other games) Then i decided to come back (because of some events) and i started everything from scratch. people always told me that I play better is when i'm furious, well the result is in sight Let's go to the game? come on .. you guys probably already have read the topic of mein leben in which has dozens of comments, is basically this trophy that prevents most players to do 100%. there are parts of the game where we have to find an alternate method because things probably didn't go the way we wanted. I trained a lot during this month and I promised myself I would get it (or I would never go back to being a gamer) I had enough problems mainly in 4 zones: Manhattan - bunker: at the end of the elevator the game decided to troll me and gave me two instant deaths that until today I'm speechless, luckily I found an alternative method. it seems to be a bug that occurs infrequentlyCourtroom (hell's room) - an authentic nightmare for me!fortunately after a few days trying to study the best method, today I can say that it is the most comfortable part in the game for me. I confess that at first, especially when the music changes (solely and exclusively at this level) I was completely nervous. because in the past i was almost always killed by the dog. Venus - One of the most dangerous areas in the game, probably the only area where i'm quite aggressive (now ). because in the past I was constantly dead at this level, either by the robot-dogs or on the rolling platform near the end of the levelAusmerzer 2 - Unfortunately I had to restart the game once because apparently in the initial part where there is a drone and some enemies, the drone decided to enter a glitch behind the double doors that open further ahead ..I know it's frustrating to get so far and have to give up because of the constant bugs in the game. but the persistence always wins, it doesnt matter if the platinum comes at the beginning or after a year what matters is not giving up (and I had almost close ...) I had bad luck in some parts, I lost 3 or 4 hours many times for nothing .. fortunately I was rewardedI'm satisfied after outlast 2 I have another ultra rare plat and quite difficult . I must also want to say that before the final battle I almost had to die, I forgot two enemies in the last hall and my life went into 20 . probably god was on my side eheheh I have to thank everyone in private that motivated me to go back to this game and get this done.I'm feeling happy today

I've had a bit of a dry spell with plats because of school work, so it was really nice to pop another plat. I love the Persona games, so when this collection was announced for PS4 I knew I was gonna be getting it nice and quick. I'm not the best at rhythm games so I have very few King Crazys and I haven't beaten many songs on All Night, but I did have a lot of fun. I don't like how short the track list is, though, and I feel like the P3 songs lend themselves better to a game like this. The social interactions aren't really a great replacement for social links (or confidants since it's P5 I suppose), but getting this with the collection is definitely worth it

Popular Post Undead Wolf
If you guys weren't aware, there's a thread for the Vita's anniversary where we platinum/100% some Vita games in celebration of everyone's favourite handheld. Down below are my plats for the Japanese anniversary. And btw, it's not too late for you to join the event for the western anniversary in a couple of months. #228 - Persona 4 Golden Golden Completed Earn all trophies This game is very special to me. For starters it's one of the games that convinced me to get a Vita which is a handheld I ultimately fell in love with, but it's also a game that really got me into the JRPG genre. I had dabbled with them before and enjoyed what I played, but P4G quickly become one of my all-time favourite games. It still is! This is actually the second time I've gotten the platinum in this game and it was just as enjoyable as the first. #229 - Bullet Girls バレットガールズ 全てのトロフィーを獲得する As you can tell by the text under the platinum image, this is a Japan-exclusive game that I had to import. And no, it's not a visual novel, it's a third person shooter! It has some rather... interesting game mechanics to say the least. Shooting enemies damages and eventually removes their clothing depending on where your shots landed. This is accompanied by a cinematic angle plus some generous jiggle physics so you already know it's a fun time. Oh yeah, and there's an interrogation-like minigame too where you try and pleasure the characters with the use of the touchscreen until they reach a state of ecstasy. The Japanese certainly knows how to make a video game. #230 - MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies Tagmension Master You crushed MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies! "You've played a ton. Thank you so much." I finally got around to playing one of the Neptunia spin-off games. The gameplay is rather basic, but I had fun with this one. I mean how can it not be fun when cute anime girls are involved? Also, Blanc is one of my favourite characters in the series, so I have to praise her game obviously. #231 - Zero Escape: The Nonary Games You Found It Gained all trophies. Simply put, this two game collection contains some of the best visual novels I've ever played. Virtue's Last Reward is a game I've gotten the platinum in twice before (without skipping), but this was the first time I've had the chance to play 999. Just thinking back on some of the things that happened in these games blows my mind. Even now, just listening to the OST sends shivers up my spine. This word gets thrown around a lot these days, but I truly believe these games deserve to be called masterpieces.
Popular Post Viper
#144 Steins;Gate (PS3)Sky Clad Observer I tried...I really tried to give VN's a second chance. My first was XBlaze Lost: Memories and I hated it...this one I tried going with it, reading along, trying to get into it...and while I wasn't nearly as bored as I was with XBlaze...the charade couldn't continue, I eventually gave up and just put the skip all text on. VN's just are not for me. But it's fine. This was Plat 33 for the year...which tops last years record of 32. I have a couple more games I could play, would like it top it out at 35...but AC Odyssey is calling my name. Popular Post Conor
DOUBLE PLATINUM DAY #14- BURLY MEN AT SEA (PS4) Ye've Done It Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Time Taken: 10 Hours, 8 Minutes (I went to bed past the halfway point, took me about 2.5 hours in-game) Rarity: 13.3% Rare (PSN) / 69.82% Common (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Nice Day (Gold)- the ending where you have to stay together under a magical spell (trying not to spoil, so cute!) Manly men... A quaint and neat little game that I believe is a mobile port. Nothing complicated at all, just bringing my three intrepid sailors on 12 short but mysterious trips. Cute but there's really not much in the way of payoff like I was hoping. Not much to say about this one, it was just to separate out games in the Kingdom Hearts series. Speaking of which... #15- KINGDOM HEARTS Re: CHAIN OF MEMORIES (PS4) Chain of Memories Master Enjoyment (single): 7/10 Enjoyment (platinum): 1/10!!!! Difficulty: 5/10 (RNG nearly makes it much higher) Time Taken: 1 week, 6 Days, 5 Hours (about 65 hours in-game) Rarity: 1.3% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 8.16% Very Rare (PSNProfiles) Hardest Trophy: Card Master Sora (Silver)- Collect all Card Collection entries in Jiminy's Journal. I've seen what hell looks like... As I've stated before, I made a goal for myself to get the platinum trophy for every Kingdom Hearts game both on PS3 and PS4 before Kingdom Hearts III drops on January 29th next year. It's a series I'm very fond of and thus wanted to show my support once I got my PS3 and PS4 consoles this year. I set this goal for myself and... it's the worst idea I've ever had. Now, with only three games and over a month left to go, it is fairly certain that I will achieve my goal. But this game really made me nervous, especially after the hellish nightmare that was plating it on PS3. I naively thought that it would be better this time around... I was very, very wrong. First off, it's cool that they remade the GBA game for home consoles. Really cool. I never had the PS2 version because it didn't release in Europe but I really liked the GBa version. But a game that plays like a handheld should really stay on a handheld. Played in bursts, I'm sure it's greater than I'm giving it credit for. But I have a deadline and I'm already behind. My big issues with the game are as follows: 1) Exploration The game is the pits to navigate through. The rooms you generate are samey, repetitive and boring by the time you're at the second world. It may have been fine on handhelds given the limitations of the hardware but it does not translate well to 3D home console at all. 2) Combat Now don't get me wrong- I think the card-based gameplay is actually pretty cool. You really have ti think about what your next move is gonna be in the heat of battle, you can't just spam X like in the other games. This is cool. But it can get really frustrating, especially in the early stages when your cards are pathetically weak (at it's worst on Proud mode) and then the opposite happens- you can break the game so easily once you get yourself certain sleights. Or even plenty of Fires and Blizzards in tandem with a Red Nocturne and Blue Rhapsody card respectively. Cool concept, shoddy execution. 3) RNG Not a major issue for a normal playthrough, but when going for 100% it's a nightmare. Granted, there are ways to manipulate the game's RNG to make the task of collecting enemy cards easier, but it's not 100% effective as I just found out, spending 3 hours looking for my final card. Other complaints are the shoddy aiming before battle, the monotonous grinding to get Sora and Riku to Lv 99 (there is no need for them to be that strong, their final bosses can easily be defeated at Lv 50 even on Proud and there's no post-game content or superbosses), the overall busywork for trophies that make no sense otherwise, the really shit anti-aliasing in cutscenes and the general un-essential status of the game. Just watch the cutscenes on Youtube and avoid if you like your sanity. The one saving grace is that unlike the PS3 version, you don't have to beat the game on every difficulty. I still did two playthroughs (better than three!) because the thoights of doing everything on Proud mode were too terrible to comprehend. Now, onwards to Kingdom Hearts II, a game I have radically different feelings for... Edited December 16, 2018 by Stan Lee
