Popular Post Feiryn-
#39 - Steins;Gate A jewel, no less. This game isn't considered as one of the best visual novels ever, if not the best of all, for nothing. The story, the characters, everything in this game is awesome. I may not this game by heart since I've played it like 5 times already on Vita, but the end always gets me.
Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
And finally the second part of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus PS3 collection. Platinum No. 93 Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) Wander and the Colossus Finally I understood why this platinum is ultra rare: the hard time attack, combined with Wander bahaviour. Seriously, this guy (in the PS3 remaster) has a lot of problems, since he slips on every freaking surface, dodges backward and takes his bilance off. ? The Gaius battle was frustrating, and I managed after two hours, but the successful attempt was epic: I had a clear run without any issue by Wander, I destroyed the two sigils on his head and left arm and I went down to the final one. “It’s over, Gaius!” that’s what I thought when I gave him the final strike… But the battle wasn’t over. “What?!” I looked up at the Gaius HP bar and there was 1 micrometer HP. And the sigil on the stomach disappeared... You can immagine what happened and what I screamed… It looks like I completely forgot the sigil on the head (and I was sure it was disappeared, but unfortunately I don’t know what I saw). With 50 seconds left I climbed back to his right arm, back to the shoulder and I almost managed to fall down from his head (and I grabbed, maybe, an ear?), and I put an end to this battle in 4:42:90. ? With Argus it was better, becuase I stroke him down on my first attempt (how lucky!). Phaedra had a very tight time (and I finished with 2 seconds left, because this stupid was always shaking, and Wander was slipping, as usual). The only issue that I found to be better (maybe) is the arrows aim, because I noticed I managed to hit Dirge (the sand snake) in the eye on my first shot, and with Phalanx (the flying snake) I hit its white organs (or whatever these things are) in a fast way (maybe I’m improved with the bow… ? Nah, I don’t believe it). The collectibles weren’t annoying and I had fun blowing up the lizards with the flash arrows ?? (Boom!). A little bit annoying the 48 forbidden fruits in the secret garden and looking for the last one (damn it!). The major difference I noticed with the PS4 remake is the land: as it was intended this is a waste (and cursed) land in the PS3, while in the PS4 some sections of the maps look like an Elysium: just look at the north-west section of the map (towards the 14th Colossus): withered trees and soil in the PS3, a beautiful mountain landscape in the PS4. Even the atmosphere is different, because in the PS3 the land seems gloomy and dusty (a little bit, it's not dark, just a sensation). Ehi, this is only my opinion and what stroke me in the PS3 remaster, I could be completely wrong. Since I played the PS4 remake, I was looking for this version just to the see the differences (adn stacking two platinum trophies, of couse!). Some controls are awful and some hard time attacks are really difficult, especially Gaius: the guy who thought it could be done within 5 minutes (with an extra weak point and one minute less than the normal attack) is really evil ?. But I think it’s an artificial difficulty due to the controls, since in the PS4 remake I had no problems with the hard time attacks (just a couple of attempts on some Colossi). I’m just a little bit proud of having both the games (with an ultra rare platinum). ? Edited December 6, 2018 by Phoenix_argentea
Popular Post Hayke7
#37 - Yakuza: Kiwami 2 Quite possibly one of my favorite platinums to get simply because I didn't think I could do it with the platinum requring 100% the game which meant I had to learn mahjong and be willing to spend time doing tasks that could take a long time depending on luck. But despite all that I went for it and I've had so much fun doing so. This is both a hard and easy platinum to get in the sense that it's hard because it requires a wide variety of skills from you and easy in the way that if you're willing to learn then it's really only a matter of putting in the time required and since I had so much fun chasing the platinum it was effort worth doing.

Popular Post GraniteSnake
A few more easy (and not so easy) platinum's I've picked up.. #84: Late Shift My first full-motion video game. Didn't really feel like a video game at all. The choices were minimal but the story was interesting so I wasn't bored. It was over pretty quickly, about the time of a short movie. An interesting genre that I wouldn't mind trying out more of. #85: The Bunker I actually enjoyed this one more than the above. It was slightly more interactive and I enjoyed the plot more. Pretty cool that it was shot in an actual Bunker also. A really different type of game that's worth trying out. #86: 36 Fragments of Midnight Super straightforward game that's over before you know it. There really isn't much to it at all, you collect 36 fragments and that's it. May take a few runs to get the timing of the jumps right but it's super easy. Took me 45 minutes. #87: Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition For a game with a 58.06% platinum rarity this was no cake walk. It wasn't until level 6 of hard mode that I learned that there was an aerial attack (Jump, press up then attack) so this would've made defeating some of the side-scrolling flying enemies a lot less frustrating on some of the earlier levels. Utilising doors as checkpoints in crucial in this game. A pretty quick albeit sometimes frustrating platinum. #88: InkSplosion When I first tried this game I struggled with it and found it difficult. I think the main problem I had at the beginning was rather than tracking my own movements, I was instead tracking the movements of my bullets. Obviously this made it really difficult and once I realised my mistake the game flew by. You kind of get in the zone and you can knock out those 100 kills in no time. Took me 30 minutes to get this done. Edited December 10, 2018 by Uncharted_Baihh
Popular Post Zach
#113 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS4) Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3.5/10 Time: 29hrs Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is my favorite Assassin's Creed game of all time (only tied with Odyssey). It has been a pleasure to replay this game. I love the Rome setting and of course, love Ezio. Along with Odyssey, this game has the best story in the series (in my opinion). While Crawford Starrick (Syndicate) is my favorite villain in the series, Cesare Borgia was still a great villain in Brotherhood. What I liked about him was, he seemed like a little punk that only used his men to fight, but when push came to shove, he went down fighting in the end. Brotherhood's story is a lot shorter than 2's but in my opinion, was much better. Some may argue that the platforming sucked because it's buggy, but I'd argue the missions with platforming was some of the best in the series. This was Ubisoft's first yearly release with the Assassin's Creed series, but I say they still delivered with this title and I will always love Brotherhood. Off to Odyssey's new DLC!!! Popular Post Eyjabria
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PS Vita) Hope's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game Enjoyment: 7 Difficulty: 2 Danganronpa 2 has new talented students attending Hope's Peak Academy, and they're going on a school trip on a tropical island. The students are in for a rude awakening when they realize they're forced to take part in a killing game to get off the island. The gameplay consists of socializing, investigation once a murder takes place and finally a class trial where you need to find out who's guilty. If the culprit is found out, he/she is executed and the others continue to live their killing school life. If you point out the wrong person, everyone else is executed and the murderer gets to leave the island. The trial parts have several new mechanics compared to the first Danganronpa game and I wasn't very fond of them as they are mostly just pointless, annoying and time consuming additions. The trials are quite well written however and provide a lot of surprising turns but they seem to go on and on. I remember starting a new trial in the evening and getting frustrated when it was already 1 am and the trial was still in progress when I was supposed to go to sleep. Another needlessly time consuming thing was that some arguments had more than one right answer even clearly stated in the evidence but the game accepted only one as the correct answer. The story didn't manage to keep me interested for the whole duration of the game. Around chapter 6 things got more interesting but after a while I lost my interest again. The ending was quite bland and disappointing too compared to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. The game has a noticeable amount of typos which didn't give a good impression of the localization. Danganronpa 2's music is very good and fits the theme and events well. You can select either English or Japanese voice acting (I recommend the Japanese one, especially Monokuma sounds fantastic). The art style and presentation is great and the characters are nicely designed both visually and based on their back stories. In addition to the main story mode the game offers a couple of extra game modes which you are required to complete for the platinum. Island Mode tasks you with collecting materials and building requested items in a sprite based resource management game. It's a fun game mode but needs to be repeated too often to complete all character specific "endings" (if you can even call them that because it's just like a couple of lines of dialogue, very underwhelming). There's also a small action game "Magical Miracle Girl Monomi" where you need to defeat enemies and gather loot dropped by the enemies. This game mode gets old fast too as you need to collect 60 different items and it's pure RNG. Ugh. Overall Danganronpa 2 is a great visual novel filled with mystery, humor and unexpected twists. However the game felt like it was missing something I can't quite put my finger on that would hook me in. At some point I'd rather have been playing other games and grinding for the platinum felt like a pointless waste of my life.
Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #311: Fernz Gate Your Adventure Obtained all trophies Even when I don't like Kemco RPGs, I still like them. Fernz Gate sets a new low for storytelling (seriously - this is the worst RPG story I think I've ever seen), but its fast-paced battle system, tons of skills and powerups, and leveling madness makes up for it. Every Kemco RPG plat I've ever played clocks in at around 20 hours, and this is no exception - 21:02. Despite rumors, they're not all the same (Dragon Sinker has a much different feel from Revenant Saga, which feels different from Antiquia Lost, which is...pretty much identical to Fernz Gate). They're not great, but they do fill the hole of 16/32-bit RPGs. I would love for a serious company to make a serious 2-D RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy III. Since that clearly isn't happening, I'll take these Kemco RPGs. Up next: Revenant Dogma, which I purchased yesterday. 1 hour ago, Eyjabria said: There's also a small action game "Magical Miracle Girl Monomi" where you need to defeat enemies and gather loot dropped by the enemies. Popular Post IntroPhenom
Platinum #41 Aer Pilgrim Rarity: 80.11% Difficulty: Used a guide. Enjoyment: 2/10 Within minutes of loading up Aer, I knew I wasn't going to like it. The art style and music are fine, but the controls and camera are miserable. Not just the flying, either; moving, running, and jumping suck. Not much to do in a game with a fairly large area to explore, either, and the poor flying mechanics turned me off from any unnecessary exploration. A guide was used because I just couldn't endure the the boredom, and didn't want the game to last any longer than it had to. I would have assigned a 1/10 for enjoyment, but the parts where you're flying in-between islands far apart, and don't have frustrate yourself trying to turn or land, are calming and nice. Oh well. Popular Post Ala-Arska
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End One Last Time Collect All The Trophies Yup, that's definitely the last time I'll play Crash Bandicoot on PS1...on PS4. Navigate like Drake! And search for a pirate treasure! Arrrr! So that's what all the fuss was about. Damn, there's good games and then there's good games. Still not perfect, though. Every movie game has it's sins, and this is no exception. Expect sins aplenty... Numerous minor and huge glitches everywhere. Like Nate falling through floor, prompt not appearing, and one very sucky one. That being in chapter 10, where you're supposed to knock 16 cairns (sorry, rock piles) over for a trophy. I missed some first, and later some just disappeared. And yes, I destroyed them 3 more times thoroughly, with no resolution in sight. Starting from beginning of the game helped, but took a while. Flashbacks and "playing house" moments feel more like Heavy Rain than Heavy Rain Of Bullets. Important for plot, but honestly pretty boring for me And has anyone ever noticed how the characters always mumble through their in-game conversations? It's like this in every Uncharted game. Great dialogue, but it all sounds muffled and drunk. Thank God for subtitles, not for speaking clearly That being said, I do love the voice acting overall and Nolan North & Co have done excellent job bringing those loved characters back alive Story and storytelling is as cinematic as always. Although I was hoping for more impact and heartbreak with the ending, but this'll do nicely. I don't know if it's intentional or not (giving the adventurous nature), but that Plat image looks more like comic book Tintin than Nathan Drake Overall Uncharted 4 delivers in spades. Still, U2 (the game, not the band) remains in top for me, followed by this and U3 side by side. Like brothers
Popular Post Eli_bloodthirst
Ohhh boy, ohohhoho boy oh boy oh boy. # 67 Dragonball Fighter Z Trophy Triumphant - 0.71% Rarity (New rarest trophy!, and I actually didn't think I'd de-thrown catherine) Right so this bad boy I'd been playing on the side of some other games, Overwatch, God of War, Crash 3 and I just played it casually with some mates until one friend got to the zeni trophies left and said he'd platinum this game and I couldn't. Well I took exception to that because I've been stubbornly chipping away at this Zeni trophies for the last 3 months in spite and Oh boy have I proved that dude wrong. Enjoyment: 3/10 - don't get me wrong, the rest of this game is enjoyable and I certainly had fun playing and socialising but my god that grind for the BP and then the Zeni were some of the longest, most monotonous boring grinds I'd ever had to face in my life. I mean I did it and haha I did it but it did not seem worth it at the time. Difficulty: 4/10 - Not even that hard, patience is the hardest aspect of this game. Pure patience. Anyway do not recommend this as a platinum unless you have the patience of a saint or are stupid.

Popular Post Durandal
My first double platinum, sort of. Deponia Deponia unlocked! (5. Dec. 2018) Another great adventure! I played it a few years ago and had lots of fun with this pain in the ass Douche-bag Rufus. The way he does things is often hilarious and reminds me of good old Guybrush. The story of this game is quite simple. Said Rufus wants to escape the dump he lives on, and he literally lives on a big planet full of garbage. But since he can't do anything right he mucks this up in a spectacular fashion and as a result of it a girl falls from the sky, literally. And Rufus of course thinks he saved her and that she thinks he is her hero because of that. Of course he does all kinds of stupid things to prove that and treats anyone else like idiots in the process. In the end he does save her, by accident but still, and uncovers a conspiracy or the main plot of the series. Yes, this is the first part of a trilogy. That sounds like the worst game ever but it is quite accurate, because this game is actually great satire. The second game is even better! I always wanted to play this game again and since it is on sale at the moment I decided that it was time to do so. And it was still a lot of fun only that I got many easy trophies this time. Speaking of trophies, this game has quite a few easy ones which is quite common for an adventure. But there are also a few hard ones because you have to play mini games for them without letting the game solve them for you. And one or two of them are quite difficult. There are also other miss-able trophies like the one where you simply have to pull a lever a lot. Or setting up a demolition correctly at the first try. But if you use a trophy guide for a small hint here and there it is all manageable in one session. Or you could just be very methodical and more importantly pay close attention to everything in case you don't want to. Just don't use a gameplay guide, that would ruin it! Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power Icing the Cake (7. Dec. 2018) I am a big fan of the Trine franchise ever since I played the first game. I even think Trine 2 is one of the best games I have ever played. This game on the other hand is not, far from it. There are many flaws but the most troublesome issue is that this game was either cut short because they ran out of money or it was meant to be an episodic game. This is obvious when you reach the end and wonder why it is already over. It really stops after the first third of the story. And the flaws of the game are mainly because Frozenbyte decided to change this game a bit. The first two games are strictly 2D with a dynamic camera, while this one is an actual 3D platform game. A bit like Spyro. But it feels like it wasn't polished properly, the controls are flawed because of it and it looks really ugly at times. Which is really apparent when you play this game right after the first or the second one. In my opinion you can't simply turn a perfect and beautiful 2D platform game into a 3D game by just moving the camera much closer to the action. Everything is blurry and you notice texture seams. But the worst thing is that the colors are all wrong sometimes, it really looks like as if the colors weren't calibrated correctly and the lightning is sometimes too bright. I also noticed some kind of rasterization as if you were looking through a finely grained glass panel. All of this never happened once in the first two games. Fortunately this can be ignored after a short while. What cannot is how a once challenging physic based puzzle game with great combat turned in a simple puzzle game. You still have to use the abilities of your three characters but there are far less then before and you don't have to solve complicated puzzles anymore. Just a few simple ones like staking boxes in order to reach higher places. And the combat is reduced to bash a few enemies with a sword. There is no depth to it and no real boss fights, except the final boss, and since you don't have weapon upgrades and more types of enemies it is now a very simple hack n' slash combat. And as I mention already the game ends abruptly after the first of three chapters, which means it can be done in one evening session, including the platinum. Trine 2 is much harder and it takes a lot longer to finish and earning the platinum, it currently has a rarity of 2,26% while the third one has a rarity of 55%. But this doesn't mean that this is a bad game, on the contrary it is still fun to finish the levels and the story is again quite interesting. It is simply a mini Trine, one that could have been much better if the developers had more money and/or time. In any case this concludes my trophy hunt for this series and I now proudly own all three platinum trophies! And I recently read somewhere that Frozenbyte received money from the EU for Trine 4 I am now patiently waiting for another great puzzle/hack n' slash 2D platform game! Please don't disappoint me like this again! Edited December 7, 2018 by Durandal

Popular Post Redgrave
#141: Now I Can Sleep - Shenmue II Despite this game improving on some things from the first game like the combat, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one. They really wanted to make use of QTE's in this one which I can understand considering it was still kind of a new thing at the time but they started to feel like padding as the game went on. And I also don't know if it was an emulation thing but the QTE's felt really finicky at times because I would press the buttons it wanted me to and it would still say I failed it anyway. I also felt like there was much more running around and going from Point A to Point B a lot more compared to the first one. It just kind of dragged the gameplay down a bit for me. I get the impression that Shenmue II was supposed to be a lot bigger than they intended but couldn't quite do it so they crammed a bunch of shopping vendors and whatnot into different buildings in the second half of the game which made finding specific NPC's a bit difficult. It's still a fine game though and definitely recommend it. They did make it a bit easier to find your objectives by being able to ask wandering NPC's about where to go and you can follow them. Plus you can buy maps and place markers which is nice.
