Popular Post Cherrywood
My most recent was Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear which made number 109. It's an expansion to Baldur's Gate 1, which I had platinumed immediately before, and serves as a bridge between the events of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, which I thought was really neat. Most people have probably at least heard of them but Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 were made by Bioware over 20 years ago now. Dragonspear though was made by Beamdog who, back in 2012 and 13, put out the "Enhanced Editions" of 1 and 2, basically remade them to work with modern PCs and tablets/phones, added 3 new recruitable characters, and Dragonspear was their original Baldur's Gate game that they put out in 2016. This is part of the console ports of those "Enhanced Editions". Like I said, it's a bridge between the two games, the villain of the 2nd game who has kidnapped you at the start of that game is pretty much stalking you throughout this game, they brought David Warner back to do the voice which was nice, and it ends with him taking you. My only real gripe with it is that I wish that they had made it while they were doing those remasters of the first two games; by virtue of where it is in the timeline, it's able to reference events and relationships from the first game pretty seamlessly, which it does, but when you go from the first game, to this, to the second game (which is what I've been playing now before moving on to its expansion that was made by Bioware years ago), it creates this disconnect because there's nothing there in Baldur's Gate 2 really connecting it to the events of Dragonspear like there is in Dragonspear connecting it to the first Baldur's Gate. And I'm not saying that that's even really their fault, they didn't know when they made those remasters that a few years later they would be making their own Baldur's Gate game in between the two, but, like I said, there's this disconnect. I wish they could have patched in some lines in BG2 or something referencing Dragonspear, or something with those 3 new Beamdog characters at least, but there's unfortunately nothing. But anyway, I thought that it was pretty good. The story is fun and appropriately "big"; you, as the hero of the city of Baldur's Gate, get involved in a big military campaign. I played through it with a guide so that I wouldn't have to do a 2nd playthrough, playing through the first one before this had me itching to play through the 2nd game for the first time in years and years, and there are a number of trophies for making this decision or this decision, and a number of just missable trophies, but it would have been worth playing through twice. As a console port of a PC game, the best thing you can say about it is that it works. If you played the original games 20 years ago, or if you've heard about them due to their reputation in the years since, the Baldur's Gate collection on PS4 is a worthwhile way to play them. For what it's worth if it's worth anything, I enjoyed it and would recommend it Edited October 2, 2020 by Cherrywood Typo

Popular Post Bumperklever
#129 Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal (PS4) Path of the Shinobi Date Achieved: 2 Oktober 2020Rarity: Uncommon (43-44%)Enjoyment: 7/10 This one is unfortunately hands down the worst of the 3 musuo senran kagura games. As in they wanted to port the old game, makes an extra story and put in the 3d musuo gameplay instead of the 2D platformer and thats it. A lot of things like, the levels been crazily short, most buildings been not scalable (while they are in the previous ones) and other things just makes it feel cheap. The one and only change that I liked was the implementation of the attack pattern, since it lets parrying feels really good. Nevertheless this game was a fun braindead experience like the other ones. So if you like the musuo senran kagura, this is more of that. If you never played it, I would start with Estival versus since that is the best one by a long shot. Seems like they upgraded a few things in the dressing room as well. But I never saw the appeal to do something in it other then for the trophies.
Popular Post Tyxoune
#92 Max Payne 3 (PS3) Rarity : 0.71% Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 7/10 The first trophy I earned in this game was back in October 2012 and I remember that I hated the game at the time. I was a fan of Max Payne 1 & 2 for the fast-paced action and fun. At the time Max Payne 3 felt slow and a bit boring for my taste. Still I managed to finish the game and played some of the multiplayer up to level 11. Then fast-forward almost 8 years later and for some reason I wanted to give the game a fresh start. I also wanted to clear some of the easy trophies this game has to offer which I didn't achieve last time (for instance inviting someone from your friend list or the numerous collectibles). In the end I invested almost a month of my life to clear the whole trophy list (without DLCs). I even enjoyed the infamous "The Shadows Rushed Me" trophy (0.80%) where you have to basically speedrun through the game on a permadeath setting. It was tough but fair, and on my 7 attempts I died twice to ennemies; killed myself once by jumping in the water, and the game glitched/crashed on me 3 times. I think this platinum is one of my proudest with Killzone 2. It's not as hard as people make to be, it's just a matter of knowing where the ennemies and painkillers are, and practice again and again. This made me want to get back to work on the platinum for Vanquish on PS3 now, for which I'm only missing 1 final trophy that I gave up on almost 10 years ago now. The only very annoying part of Max Payne 3 was the multiplayer grind to level 50, but it's not as bad as Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto 5. I took it slow over 2 weeks. Very proud in the end Edited October 1, 2020 by Tyxoune
Popular Post DefinitiveTJ
Platinum 57: Persona 4: Dancing All Night And that's all the Persona dancing games! Apparently I saved the best for last since this one has a full blown story mode. I skipped most of it to not completely spoil myself on P4G which I'm also currently playing but it was fun nonetheless. Also, this game actually has persona's and when you play well enough you summon your persona at the end who promptly starts playing an instrument, a nice surprise indeed. I'm a currently a bit tired of these games but now I'm suddenly very exited for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts rhythm game and when or if a new Persona Dancing game comes around with the next mainline game then I'm ready to be invited to another ball for sure. Popular Post LambzGoHard
#92-Assassin's Creed Origins Earn Them All! I'm so upset at myself for having this game sitting for almost two years and not having started this sooner. I absolutely loved this game even though it was a huge difference from the Assassin's Creed games that came before but I think it's an amazing change for the series. The story was decent, I loved how big the map was. Bayek was...ok I guess, he won't be in my top 5 favourite assassin's anytime soon. The trophy list was very straight forward and easy, the old habits trophy got a bit tiresome near the end. I still have the DLC trophies to do but they seem easy enough. I'm looking forward to playing Odyssey which I should be starting later in the month. #93-Batman:The Telltale Series I Am Batman I've played the Game Of Thrones Telltale game and when I saw Batman season pass on sale I just thought "why not?" All trophies are chapter related and it was a nice easy platinum. The story was kinda decent too, I liked how the characters were portrayed although Lady Arkham was a bit of a flop for me. I really liked how they dealt with Harvey's character. I like how at the end of every episode the game tells you how many players chose which decision which was very interesting. #94-Star Wars Jedi:Fallen Order A New Hope I'm not a Star Wars fan but a friend had this and loaned it to me as she said it was pretty good, she's a pretty big Star Wars fan. The story is decent and the gameplay was more about exploration as it was about actual combat which surprised me. Every planet had a distinct look and feel but my favourite was actually the shortest planet/level which was Ilum, I feel they could have done more with that planet...or maybe it's just because I like snow levels. Lightsabre customisation was actually one of my favourite parts of the game and I got a bit too excited over being able to get a purple lightsabre. I was pretty shocked at the ending as someone made an appearance which I was definitely not expecting. The trophy list was very manageable and quite easy, a mix of combat related trophies and just basically exploring everywhere and picking up a few collectibles. Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #99 Akiba's Beat I have know this game for some time, but I always avoided it because of the low scores from reviewers and the negative comments opinions on the internet. Some time ago it was really cheap on a sale, so I thought: why not? First of all, when you see the title, you might be reminded of its most famous "cousin": Akiba's Trip. Aside from the setting, both game have nothing in common. While Akiba's Trip is a hack and slash with heavy customization options, Akiba's Beat is a very traditional JRPG. First of all, the story. It's really similar to Persona 4: you follow a group of teens that have to deal with supernatural phenomena restricted occurring on a certain city. Those are related to people and their internal struggles and how they view and deal with the world around them. Some might think the story is a copy, but it is not. The start will leave you unimpressed, and even a bit bored at the start(like I felt). The main protagonist is really annoying early on, and the first steps of the story are a bit repetitive. Thankfully Asahi and the story take a turn for the best some chapters in, and I must admit that the story sucked me. There are twists that I did not see coming, emotional moments and the characters grew on me. Sometimes I couldnt wait to advance the story and see that would happen next. Another thing that will remind you of Atlus's game are the sub-events where you interact with the other party members ally NPCs. I dont like to say that a game copied another, because there are so many years of gaming development and so many titles are released, that is inevitable that some titles will be similar to others, be it on story, setting or gameplay. But like the story is very similar to P4, on your first battles during the tutorial you will notice that the battle system is heavely influenced by the Tales of series. On normal the game is not hard (I did not lose a single battle the entire game, didnt even come close), but the boss battles are a bit challenging. It's imperative to use Imagine Mode to the fullest to make things easier. The boss of the extra dungeon and the last rank of the Might Club are also a challenge, but manageable. Graphically the game is on par with other JRPGs. Its not bad, but nothing to impress. The OST is good, slightly above average. Contrary to Trip, that frequently had low framerates on my Vita because of the great number of very detailed NPCs, this game runs really smooth. Only on rare ocassions I experienced fps drop. The platinum is not hard, but long. The game itself is really long (unless you skip dialogue), you have to do 50 side quests, all subevents, clear the post game dungeon and and win all fights of all ranks on Might Club, both group and solo. The only thing of note is the Might Club, where the last rank, HYPER, might prove a challenge if you're unprepared. First of all I advise you to get to lvl 99 with all characters (you need to do this anyway for a trophy). On the solo battles you will fight a miniboss alone with each of the party members, and the group fights see pairings of those minibosses against you. Those fights seem a bit too much at first, and since I couldnt find any help online, here is what I did: I equipped my characters with Non SR cards (doesnt matter if Archdemon or Goddes) on Yin (increase all stats by 20%), and used Saki UR card on Yang (increase Imagine Gauge charging by 20%). The armor and weapon were the best possible, and used Acceleration Earrings (increase Imagine Gauge charging by 20%). The maid that I chose for those fights is the secret maid. With this I could have access to Imagine Mode very often, with proved very efficient. The random buffs that the secret maid gives are very useful, specially the ones that heal your HP or SP. The group fights of the HYPER ranks are easier, but the last one takes some time. In the end my experience with Akiba's Beat was very satisfactory. Contrary to what people say, this game is far from trash, and I had a enjoyable experience. Despite the slow start, this game will suprise you if you give it a chance.
Guest
Enjoyment: 7/10 (higher without the glitched trophies) Difficulty: 4/10 I was stuck at having only 1 trophy left for what felt like years because the Gunsmith trophy was glitched for me. Easy and approachable game since nothing's too complicated. The matches themselves aren't highly competitive and quick-moving like Counter Strike, but it's not too basic as to where it's not fun or engaging. Some of the characters, even in their small snippets of dialogue, are aggressively annoying. It's a perfectly middle-of-the-road multiplayer game and that's all it ever should be. Popular Post Trini
#120 - Mass Effect Andromeda Despite some shortcomings, I thought it was an incredible title that IMO didn't deserve nearly the tremendous backlash it received. Many aspects of the game that piqued my interest came down to the discovery and lore behind the different planets, species, and the relationships you build with them. The game is also graphically alluring. The gameplay, although a bit repetitive at times, kept my interest since you can play a variety of combat classes with different movesets aimed to switch up gameplay every so often. The customization isn't entirely satisfactory when it comes down to the male counterparts, and sometimes it may have a glitch or two but nothing game-breaking. The story, although nothing unique, did its job and kept me entertained throughout my experience with the game. Overall it might not be a popular opinion, but that's my take on it; I enjoyed it and kept me coming back even after acquiring the platinum.

Popular Post Puppeter04
Spare Parts Another co-op game done, short but really fun to play. The only think I dislike is that the camera can only follow one robot, it isn't like LEGO games or split-screen games. So if I go too far and the other robot stays behind, he dies and sometimes that was stressful bc my wife is not that good at platform games hahaha. Anyways, we had fun, as always Oh, btw, the trophy for collecting 1 million credits did a strange thing. If you are playing coop, only counts the credits of the 1st player. But you can farm this in a specific level. Have a good day/night you all
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #250: Tekken 6 (September 29th, 2020) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement Rating: 8/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 15 - 20 Hours Hardest Trophy: What a Nightmare ( Clear the Nightmare Train stage in Scenario Campaign Mode ) Had two games I was going to go with prior to Tekken 6 (Assassins Creed Odyssey and DOOM 2016) but dropped both due to lack of interest. I already said my piece on this game in one of my status updates, so going to keep this one short. Not the greatest of choices for #250 as a milestone, but not a bad choice either. Tekken 6 shows it's age in some areas, particularly in Scenario Campaign mode as it was simply a bit of a throwback to old beat em up games that were on the PS1. Graphics are rather dated by today's standards, some of the controls aren't the best especially the lock on targeting system in Scenario Campaign as it was rather annoying. Fairly easy fighting game overall, but showed some rough spots. The Nightmare Train stage took a lot of attempts, as I needed good rank S/A gear for both my character and for Alisa. Nancy fight was easily cheesed using Devil Jin's Roundhouse Kick move, actually had more difficulty defeating 10 opponents in a row in Survival mode. Unlocking everything in Gallery took a bit of grinding. Somehow killing yourself over and over would unlock endings for random Tekken fighters, whether that was intentional or simply a glitch, nobody really knows. Some of those endings are just gold, and shows the developers of Tekken have a bit of a sense of humor. Enjoyable fighting game, the fourth game in the series that I have done for trophies. Only have Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which I plan to start and finish very soon. Platinum #251: Jak and Daxter (September 29th, 2020) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement Rating: 5/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 5 - 8 Hours Hardest Trophy: Got the platinum within 30 minutes of getting the platinum in Tekken 6. Part of a trio of platinums. So the original Jak and Daxter. Loads of nostalgia, played this one with friends back in the day on the PS2. Did this one again on the PS3, buttery smooth frame rate and colorful atmosphere. Daxter's quips never got old. Then we have the Vita version...... and it sucks. As the old saying goes, 'third times the charm' but in this case it was the opposite. The Vita was released back in 2011 - 2012, Jak and Daxter came out a decade earlier in 2001. How can an old game like this have such bad frame rate? I had fun with the PS2 and PS3 versions, but this version really made me work hard for the platinum. Controls are stiff. The nasty framerate is the real killer here. I spent over a hour going through all the blue precursor rings because the game does not control well on the Vita. Missing an orb meant going through a section all over again and avoiding enemies. Easier said then done. I felt like I was handicapped. If Jak II are Jak 3 are even worse on the Vita according to people who have played them, I'm going to have a real headache. Platinum #252: Ratchet and Clank (October 2nd, 2020) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement Rating: 7/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 25 - 30 Hours Hardest Trophy: Got this just minutes after getting the platinum in Jak and Daxter. The final of the three platinums I got within a hour. Ratchet and Clank, another staple on the PS2 that brings back memories. In ways I preferred the original voice actor for Ratchet over James Arnold Taylor, who has voiced Ratchet in practically every other game. Unfortunately the Vita version for this game suffers a bit of a lower framerate, but it is definitely better than Jak and Daxter. Trophies were pretty straightforward. Bolt glitch worked like a charm just like it did on the PS3. Worked on getting all the Golden Bolts and getting the Skill Points. Defeated Chairman Drek and waited a couple weeks to come back and buy all the Gold weapons. Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando and Ratchet and Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal, look forward to doing them a third time (once on PS2 and once on PS3). Jak II and Jak 3 on the other hand, NOT looking forward to doing them. Edited October 2, 2020 by Spaz

Popular Post Phantochi
#210 - DMC Devil May Cry This game is awesome. As a long time fan of DMC, with 3 being my fav, i really enjoyed the game, the story, the music and the hack and slash combat. What i like the most about this game is this cool, dark, edgy execution in the world and character design, and the storytelling, this may be a downside for people who wants more of a japanese-style, but this is what makes this game unique imo, because let me tell you: The characters and storytelling might not look and sound like Devil May Cry's, but the environments and gameplay sure do, and the music, while leaning completely towards neither side, manages to feel familiar and different at the same time. This game's combat may be simplified on the surface when compared to past entries, as it is easier to be effective in this game. However, being stylish is just as challenging and deep as it is in other dmc games. The moveset is large, and there is Jump Cancelling and Just Charge, there are even some deep techniques such as being able to hold Firearm charges without holding the button down, Perfect Demon Evades, which greatly increase your damage output (and Style input) but have to be done within literal frames before the attack hits you, and Parrying (which was possible in past games with some enemies, such as DMC4's Mephisto), which this time works for all enemies and attacks (including ranged ones) and must also be done with absolute perfect timing. If you like any of the old games, or part 5, give this one a go, it is nothing like any other game in the series, but sometimes different is better
Popular Post preciseRNG
#24 Mafia: Definitive Edition The Original Gangster I've got so many good memories on Mafia 1 and Mafia II from back in the days. This remake is really well done, only a few graphic bugs sometimes and suffering frames but nothing game breaking. The trophy set is indeed quite easy with a lot of collectibles. Classic Difficulty isn't that hard either besides some parts the required some retries (with quite long loading times to restart a checkpoint). I hope all that waiting time is soon over when the next gen comes towards us . I'd love to get my hands on Mafia II Definitive Edition as well but I read so many bad things about that poorly re-port to skip it for now until maybe things have been fixed, otherwise I won't play it sadly. If you haven't yet played it but are planning to sometime I recommend waiting maybe a couple more months to see if they'll add DLC or update their XP system, because the grind to level 100 is dreadful atm. Had to force my old PC to suffer through running a remote play macro day and night and it still took a while to finish. It's a shame the plat ended on such a boring note, but the rest of the game is brilliant with the amount of skaters and different things you can do. I rated it as a 7 in difficulty because of the Get There trophy and a couple of the gaps, but I still think it's doable with practice and feels really rewarding once you do it.
