Popular Post DoctorHamoud
#35 - Max Payne 3Now this right here is a classic PS3 title. In terms of pure gameplay, Max Payne 3 is the finest third person shooter I’ve played. The aiming is buttery smooth and you feel like a legitimate badass once you get good at it. Don’t let the rarity intimidate you, I’ve done the infamous New York Minute Hardcore on my first try with little prep beyond remembering the levels. The main issue is when the game freezes or glitches on you during the NYMHC runs (I've had one invisible enemy who nearly killed me), but YMMV. If you’re interested in playing a great shooter, I highly recommend checking it out.
Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #436: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Dragon Ball Master Obtain all trophies. Sometimes, a game is better than the sum of its parts, such as this one. DBZ:K has pleasing enough graphics, but they're hardly great. Character models are rather plain jane, and environments are sparsely detailed. The story follows the comic/show pretty well, but moves quickly with little detail. The Cell saga has very little motivation whatsoever. Combat is OK, but battles are so easy that it's almost pointless. Every single battle in the game is beaten by simply backing away when the opponent glows, and attacking when he doesn't. With only two exceptions, I S-ranked every battle in the game. I am no fighting maestro or anything. A funny note: there are passive skills in the game that must be equipped to use. I only learned about these after beating the main game. It still didn't stop my reign of terror on my foes. The minigames are completely forgettable, with rewards that are so poor as to boggle the mind. The fishing game might be the single easiest fishing game I've seen in a game. The racing game is similar, as is the baseball game. Outside of a couple of side quests, none of them are useful. There are TONS of materials in this game. I have no idea what 95% of them do. Probably the most fun thing to do is gather the "soul emblems" and try to put them together in maximal fashion...but this is pointless, too. And yet...I still really enjoyed this game. Despite the fact that it was every bit as mindless as beating on peons in a Musou game, I still enjoyed it. I enjoyed it enough that I went far beyond the plat, finishing all subquests, unlocking all Dragon Ball requests (it helps that, even doing this, the game was over in about 45 hours). I loved looking for clips from the original Dragon Ball series (which is actually my preferred version). I get why people shit on anime games. I do. They're too often low-budget shlock meant to grab a quick buck from non-discerning Japanophiles. But despite many of the same complaints, I found myself really enjoying this game (though it helps that I didn't actually pay for it, and instead checked it out from a library). I would guess that Dragon Ball fans have already played this, but if you haven't, it's worth your time, and your money.
Popular Post JoaLoft
#256 - Astro's Playroom About a week ago, I was able to snatch a PlayStation 5 without having to bend the knee to some scalping waste of atoms. I got one through a legitimate multimedia store. Despite owning a huge catalog of games to start experiencing on what is undoubtedly the most popular piece of COVID-era entertainment technology, I decided to jump into the pre-installed Astro's Playroom, curious about the new controller's functions. Ten hours later: this game has no reason to be anywhere near as entertaining as it is. This piece of software - although that description sounds very derogatory - is available for free for all new PlayStation 5 owners, so you'd expect some glorified 15-minute tech demo. Instead what you get with Astro's Playroom is a full platformer, making use of all the nifty features the new DualSense controller has in store in four different worlds accessible from a central hub. Playing as Astro Bot, you are thrown into an interactive experience disguised as the internal PS5 hardware, walking around "CPU Plaza", visiting worlds based on the SSD, the GPU and so on. Each area focuses not only on a key piece of the hardware, it also invites you to explore hidden areas to find "Artifacts" which are collectibles, each focusing on one of the PS5 predecessors and their respective peripherals. The new "Game Help" feature on the PS5 even assists you in locating any missing collectibles without you needing to consult an online guide. Astro's Playroom doesn't only demonstrate the DualSense's capabilities very well, it's also a pretty cool interactive showcase of PlayStation history, from the first world you enter to the secret fifth world with a fitting end boss to beat. Even the soundtrack delivers in this free game, there are multiple tracks where I started humming along unconsciously, one of which is the witty GPU song. With an actual giant GPU singing in the physical background of the GPU Jungle world. And throughout all the levels you'll find tons of easter eggs depicting a (former) PlayStation exclusive: bots will reenact The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII (Remake), Death Stranding, Ape Escape, Killzone, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, God of War, Crash Bandicoot and loads more. I won't give them all away, because it's much more enjoyable to spot and recognize themselves. On top of that: zero faults in Astro's Playroom. No bugs, no boring segments, nothing. I am - again - astounded this was given for free to all PlayStation 5 owners. The only thing I could ask for, is just more Astro. This was a full yet relatively short platformer, you can finish the whole game in five hours if you're quick. I wanted more levels to platform through, more speedrun levels to master. If this was a testrun to see if people are in for a bigger Astro, then I think I speak on behalf of a lot of gamers when I state that we'd love a bigger Astro game with just more platforming goodiness to gobble up. I did enjoy myself so much with it, that I tackled the speedrun levels too and tried perfecting my runs more and more to eventually top my friends leaderboard, despite the speedrun trophy belonging to the add-on list. Most frustrating trophy - ... NONE! Thanks to the aforementioned Game Help menu on the PS5, Astro's Playroom offers no difficulty in obtaining every trophy, if there was any to begin with. There are some miscellaneous ones to complete, collecting all the Artifacts from all PlayStation consoles, beating all the levels, ... it's pretty much a free platinum trophy. Above anything else, I feel it's obligatory to force everyone with a brand-new PlayStation 5 to play Astro's Playroom before they touch anything else. It showcases what the new controller is capable of in wonderful ways, it's adorable and it's just fun to play. Fun always comes first, trophies come second. And Astro's Playroom embraces that ideology with charm.
Popular Post Quink666
#374 Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered Be Greater 67,42% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 2 Hours Yes i'm a lazy trophy whore and i autopopped everything that could be popped. Only had to do 3 trophies to get 100% completion. Played it 3 times on PS4 so i didn't feel like going through it all again. It is still an amazing game and i can't recommend it enough. Only part that was boring was doing all the crimes in each region. It really sucks that the Remastered version is tied to the Ultimate Edition and not given for free to all owners of the PS4 version. #375 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Be Yourself 55,68% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 15 Hours Equally good as the first Spider Man but almost criminally short for the price tag. If you only focus on story you can easily beat it in 4 hours. To 100% all districts will take you about 10 Hours. Trophies was a good mix of combat, collectibles, story and misc. With the new Venom powers that got introduced in this game you become totally op and can't be killed, especially in NG+. Very enjoyable game. But if you don't want to play the Remastered version of Spider Man PS4 on PS5, i would wait until you can get Miles Morales for 30 bucks or under for the sole reason that this game is very short. This game also has the best spider suit in any game, without spoiling it to much you get it post game and you have a certain cute thing in your backpack ? Popular Post Conor
#100- UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE REMASTERED [PS4] Platinum Earn all Uncharted: Drake's Fortune™ Remastered Trophies Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 1 day, 1 hour, 4 minutes, 34 seconds / <20 hours Rarity: 1.3% Ultra Rare (PSN) / 15.87% Rare (PSNProfiles) Challenge: Charted!- Crushing- Finish the Game on Crushing Without Changing the Difficulty "There must be a beginning of any great matter, but the continuing unto the end until it be thoroughly finished yields the true glory." The very first game I played on PlayStation 3 almost three years ago was Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. This game was my re-introduction to the world of PlayStation's first-party exclusives. So began a love affair that continues to this day and I'm very glad to have made PlayStation my main gaming platform once again. Sure, the game has been outdone in every which way since, but there is always something special about that first game that draws you into a world of wonder and makes it so unforgettable. So while Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is by no means the strongest in the series, it laid the foundation for the greatness that was to come. For its time, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was stunning. The environments from its jungles to crumbling ruins were a breathtaking showcase of the PlayStation 3's power. This remastering by Bluepoint games ups the resolution, updates some character models and textures and brings the frame rate up from the original 30 fps to a buttery smooth 60fps. It may not be the benchmark for visuals nowadays but Bluepoint did a very good job and the game still holds up visually. Nothing more to say about the visuals other than they are great and I have no complaints. The story is decent but Naughty Dog would come up with better stuff later down the line. The protagonists are great and charming unlike the villains which are one-note and hardly present. The final boss encounter is pretty pathetic and can easily be cheesed, then ends in a rubbish QTE sequence (something that, funnily enough, Sony Bend copied almost beat for beat for the final encounter in Days Gone). Gameplay wise, however, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune can be a bit clunky at times. While I'm sure there were changes made in this department as well, the game still isn't the smoothest experience in terms of controls; the jumping and climbing can be hit or miss sometimes and something always bothered me about the way Nathan Drake points his gun when aiming- he always looks like he's aiming way far off to the right of the targeting reticle. This is fixed in later games but the issue from the original release remains here. Another complaint about the game is the balancing, particularly on Hard or Crushing difficulty; some deaths feel very, very cheap- particularly in the jeep chase section where enemies out of your vision and range can kill you- and enemies have marksman-like aim so they can perfectly nail you with a burst of M4 fire that will instantly kill unless you get very lucky. Again, this is something that is addressed in later entries but it is glaringly obvious here. Thankfully, the game is quite short and the trophies have simple enough requirements. New to this version is the addition of three speedrun trophies necessary for the platinum. These are not too difficult albeit the last one will probably require a checkpoint restart or two. There are also weapon kill trophies although their requirements are low and curiously there is no trophy for the SAS-12, perhaps because it shows up so late in the game when you are pitted against much tougher enemies. There are also new DLC trophies not required for the platinum. Some are easy but there are two trophies that require a full speedrun of the game and a completion on the new Brutal difficulty; given how cheap I found Crushing at times, I doubt I'll be looking into Brutal any time soon. In all, Uncharted Drake's Fortune Remastered is a nice trip down memory lane and the perfect choice for my milestone 100th platinum. I look forward to playing the remasters of the later entries, particularly the very next game which I consider to be the best game I have ever played from 7th generation consoles.
Popular Post Draps-1337
#122 Persona 5 Strikers Difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 8/10 Finally got around to playing this last week. It's probably the best Musou game ever made, incorporating depth in the combat through the persona concept, epic and well-written dialogue and narrative, as well as the oozing style Persona 5, thrust forth into the world. If you enjoyed the Persona 5 cast and enjoy hack and slash games with a JRPG combat layer on top (similar to Final Fantasy 7 Remake) I highly recommend this. The platinum is a bit of a grind, however, requiring a solid 10-15 hours of grinding to get enough xp to unlock all skills, so if you're also hunting for the platinum it may sully your experience. That grind is the only bad trophy though.

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #146 - Master Reboot 39.72% Rarity Difficulty - 4/10, Time Spent - ~5 Hours , Enjoyment 5.5/10 Master Reboot is about.... well fuck if I know! They made me play the game in Welsh for a trophy! But after reading about it online... it's about a group of friends that makes a new experience called the Soul Cloud where you can upload your life's experience so that a person can be revisited after death by their loved ones. But something makes the Soul Cloud go awry and now you have to investigate your own memories to try to solve the problem. After reading the synopsis, the story sounds SO GOOD. If you play and don't mind multiple playthroughs, I would highly recommend doing your first one in English so that you understand what's going on and then do the Welsh playthrough. If I would have been able to understand what was going on, this would have gotten two more points from me on the enjoyment scale. But, alas, the things we do for trophies... The play style of this game is mild puzzle solving with some platforming elements. It's in first person, which I typically hate because it makes me nauseous, but this didn't have that effect on me, fortunately. The trophies are pretty straightforward, with very few of them being missable. The trophy on PST is quite good, and they have a complete walkthrough for help with the collectibles (they do get left and right confused sometimes, but nothing that is too much of a detriment). I had to ramp up the difficulty of this to a 4 because of one trophy that requires you to do several different platforming challenges quickly and in quick succession. I'm not the best platformer, and this game didn't have the tightest platforming, so it made it doubly hard to try to do some of these things. But I go through it eventually haha. Also, this game has some horror elements with jump scares and whatnot. I am not a fan of that sort of thing, but I can see some people enjoying it. Despite all that went wrong with this game, I'd say still give it a go. I had it for free from PS+ a while back, so maybe you do too! Popular Post Darghel
#106 All Done (Sayonara Wild Hearts) Difficulty: Some easy challenges, some slightly harder, some stupid. Time to Complete: about 2 days (psnp says 4 hours?) Recommended: Yeah, it's fun and catchy Total Score: 8/10 I was always skeptical whether to buy this and yet again it was on sale, so this time I decided - after talking to some people on discord - that I would give it a try. I finished the game in about 2 days, and the trophies took me about 3-4 hours to get. It was kind of hit or miss though: some challenges are definitely difficult and require some practice (getting a rank in Yolo arcade, getting half of the squares in album, 3 gold ranks in a row in Begin Again, or all 5 squares in the last level) but some were just stupid and made no sense (no points in night drift, get only "goods" in fighting hearts) and some were a joke (use a skip, turn the zodiac wheel, pausing 12 times, etc). But besides that, the game is quite enjoyable to the ears and eyes: it's very stylish and definitely memorable, especially how it tells you a story without actually telling you much, so you have to interpret it yourself. I mean, it's clearly a story of a broken love, but it's made in a way that's not "in your face" obvious. I like that...I REALLY liked that. Overall, it's a fun game: only issue for me is that you can't lower the sensitivity of your sticks, meaning your feel like you're slipping on ice, and while I liked most of the OST (heck I'm listening to a few of them right now) some of them were pretty hit or miss. Still, worth to check it out. Frankly, I still like Rez a bit more, but this is definitely a welcome addition to the list! #107 We had fun didn't we? (Tales from the borderlands) Difficulty: unless you have difficulties with QTEs, you should be fine. Time to Complete: I don't know exactly but it took me about 3 days Recommended: Yeah, it's enjoyable and has some good twists at the end. Total Score: 8/10 I remember wanting to play this but when I went to buy it, the company shutdown and I couldn't purchase it, so for a while I had no way to get this game anywhere (except egs I think). Fast forward to a few months ago, I had found a copy in a gamestop and there we go! Anyway, me and my sister have a habit to play telltale games together ever since the walking dead season 1, so we had to play this together too: we got really curious about many of the characters we met and we were wondering how it was going to end. There were some pretty good twists here and there and I really loved the robot characters a lot, they had so much personality despite their very little appearance. And the final twists at the end were definitely good, a bit cheesy but we were laughing our asses at the reveals. Overall, it's a nice story and easy platinum, the usual "play to the end" type of ordeal, so nothing you can't do. Take your time and enjoy the story! Popular Post TheQuisling
⭐⭐ I Am Bread (PS4) ⭐⭐ I Am Bread | 0.33% | Obtain all other Trophies ULTRA RARE ⏳ Time Completed: 3 days, 19 hours (#15 'Fastest Achiever') Difficulty For Me: 1,458,912 / 10 ? Controllers Destroyed: 2 ? Enjoyment: Gently rocks back & forth repeatedly sobbing 'Bread' / 10 Summary: I saw this thread a while back and decided that i would eventually post in it if/when i earned something 'worthy' enough and it just so happens that unless your last platinum was 'Super Meat Boy' you won't have endured anything close to the turmoil 'I Am Bread' can and WILL inflict upon your rapidly dwindling psyche! The entire premise of the story mode is that you control a single slice of bread intent on driving a recent divorcé & therapy patient FULLY insane by toasting and presenting oneself (via any/all available heat sources) whilst he is otherwise indisposed and incapable of explaining how a slice of toast repeatedly keeps appearing in his own home! An appropriate narrative considering every aspect of the core game mechanics push the player to the brink of pseudo 'breadicide!' The inexplicable camera angles which routinely obstruct your views. The unpredictable and incomprehensible 'edibility' rating which can/will deplete any little confidence you do manage to muster. The seemingly endless in-game glitches which outright derail promising attempts via no fault of your own. These external factors alone consistently pushed me to the absolute limit and saw my PS5 controllers somewhat resemble the aforementioned slice of bread as they bounced against every wall in my house (at least until they erm....'didn't or 'couldn't!) With all this being said and with jest firmly aside, 'I Am Bread' DOES reward players with a somewhat unique sense of achievement when each challenge is overcome and then slowly improved upon for trophy purposes. Relief more than elation but something ALL IAB players crave once our times begin to lower and lower with MUCH practice. The largest obstacle to and the absolute BANE of all IAB players existence is obviously... This monstrosity requires players to find/collect all 5 pieces of cheese in each location and are given laughably low time thresholds to achieve for the A++ times. Worth noting the A++ times were drastically LOWERED even further for console compared to the very achievable PC times. One can read/watch all the tips/guides ever created for IAB and although it CAN help you with strategy, it cannot improve your control of the flippy/flappy bread at all. Only repeated failure can do this. The highlight of my own Cheese Hunt times was the fact my game somehow glitched (who'd a 'thunk' it on IAB) so that each Cheese Hunt was MUTED. I had to A++ every location in silence (even after uninstalling and re-installing) which made a challenging pursuit even more demoralizing. 'Figures'... ❓ Final Thoughts: I suffered, pleaded, bemoaned, protested, threatened, attacked and cried my way to the completion of this torture device masquerading as a video game and (ONLY) with hindsight, i now begrudgingly respect the entire experience. Beneath the multiple flaws and almost artificially inflated difficulty (via ineptitude) Bossa Studios created something that can stand alone and on merit, not being entirely dismissed as easily as the virtual bug hive we know as 'Surgeon Simulator'. It is as satisfying as it is soul-destroying. Believe the hype. Watch the 'I Am Bread' rage/breakdown compilations. Heed the feeling(s) as the initial 'playing as a slice of bread is comical' novelty departs your body (within minutes.) IF you choose to pursue the completion it will be an extremely difficult undertaking so make sure your lunch pail's sandwich spread of choice includes large doses of patience and understanding! ? Popular Post kkulifay
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Platinum - Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure! The very first AC game I’ve ever played and now one of my favorite games of all time. Even the MP was fun, despite the solo Wolfpack grind that I did all the way to 55. Had a few Members on this site help with the DLC MP trophies and even a member collaborate to help me find a community chest for Sharing is Caring Trophy. The whale and royal convoy appear daily, but that chest is so elusive! Find a couple friends who are going for the plat and set a group discord specifically for this. When someone finds it, blast the map’s coordinates and scramble to get it! There’s a time limit in real time too, so it’s certainly a scavenger hunt. The only difficult trophy was the one where you have to defeat the legendary ships. My Ship’s outfit was maxed out, but two of the four ships kicked my arse! They all have a distinct strategy, so learn from failures and you’ll eventually prevail.
Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #113 Timothy vs the Aliens Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 4 hours, 44 minutes Enjoyment: 7/10 After my previous platinum (Matterfall), I mentioned that I'd take it easy before I start cleaning my backlog, by playing something easier. A friend mentioned this game which got my attention and decided to give it a try. Was it worth it? To say the least, it was pretty good. I think it's the only game I've played that's mostly in black and white. I like it. It gives this one an unique style. I do have some complaints to point out. Other than the game being too short-lengthened, the only other thing I'm not fond of is that the aliens might be a bit too aggressive to me. Other than that, I got nothing else to say. Also, as mentioned in the trophy guide, if you plan to platinum this game, make sure you get all the collectible trophies before you finish the aliens for good. Should you not do that, you'll lock yourself from those and have to start all over again since there's no free roam after that. You can't load the save from the title screen after defeating the final boss as doing so will always show the same scene (where the alien ship gets destroyed). I tested this after I got the platinum. Other than that, just enjoy the game. As for my next project, I'll give a hint. Spoiler "Anime Souls". I think it's time I'll get this done. It's a long (and sometimes frustrating) journey, but I'll get to the end at some point. Edited June 9, 2021 by MrGarland
Popular Post bsavchyn
# 181- The Banner Saga 3 Banner Saga 3 Master Get all trophies Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 5/10 "How we live is more important than how long!" by Fasolt Banner Saga 3 is the final game in the trilogy developed by Stoic, where a group of Viking style warriors fight to protect civilians from an army of stone creatures called Dredge, and a mysterious darkness that is creeping across the land. The story follows a rag tag group of humans, giants and outcasts in a world where the old gods have died, the sun has stopped moving and a blackness is slowly engulfing the world. Among its many achievements, The Banner Saga strikes a fine balance between the small personal stories of the group and the grand over arching tale of the world itself. It also avoids many of the failings of other games with similar ambitions; you are never the center of the story, you are not the saviour of the world and yet your actions matter. The things you do shape the world, but not always in ways you could have imagined. The game asks you to make some tough decisions and the odds are never stacked in your favour and by the end, things might not actually go your way. I think more games should be as bold as The Banner Saga. Played through all 3 games back to back. I noticed some people were disappointed in the 3rd game but I can confidently say that I don’t share that sentiment. I thought it was very consistent with the past games and kept escalating tensions and a sense of impending doom with limited resources. I can sympathize that perhaps some story elements lost focus and that some arcs were emphasized less, but what they did focus on was still extraordinarily well done. Final Thoughts: Incredible writing and narrative. Interesting, fresh, engaging combat system. Beautiful world building. This is a game that I will remember, and I'm glad I invested my time in it. If you are into strategy turn based combat, impactful decision-making, and a fantastic story, you should definitely play this trilogy.

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #147 - Batu ta Batu 80.82% Rarity Difficulty - 1/10, Time Spent - ~45 Minutes , Enjoyment 6/10 Batu ta Batu is a puzzle game where you have to match blocks of the same color and then eliminate them from your playing space. Pretty easy, not much to say. This game was pretty good for what it was. I could see myself playing this on my phone if I was bored, but it just isn't enough to be on a console. It marks my fastest platinum to date, which is unfortunate because the platinum image that is now displayed in my trophy milestones kind of looks.... lewd.
