djb5f
Movie holds up for what it is all these years later and I understand the popularity. The movie was a little sillier than I remember but it still worked. Shame what happened to Lindsay Lohan (largely self-inflected), she had the makings to be a breakout star. But it was the “Plastics” who broke out, most notably Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried on to big careers. Lacey Chabert (“Party of 5”) has done mostly Made-for-TV movies. I did not remember that Amy Poehler was in it but it makes since as anywhere Tina Fey is, Poehler seems to follow. 7.5/10

Popular Post ChilledBrandon
First is a classic, I'd never seen the second until now. Decided to watch them both. I did like Dame to a degree, but definitely did feel like a substantial step down. I thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt was really good however, I enjoyed his part in it a lot. Popular Post Redgrave
I have seen these plenty of times but I re-watched them again recently. I hold them both near and dear to my heart and can appreciate them a lot more now. The Iron Giant's charm and animation still hold up very well and I think is just timeless all around. Plus I love the comfy 1950's setting. As for Spaceballs I still laugh at all the jokes even though I've seen them a million times at this point. While back in the day I might have wanted an Iron Giant 2 but I think it being a standalone thing is more than good enough although I expect some day it will get a soulless live action remake. As for Spaceballs I am still eagerly awaiting Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money.
ChilledBrandon
Never heard of this before but stumbled across it on Netflix. Very pleasantly surprised by how quality it is. Frank Grillo is fantastic as always and it felt like a mixture between Drive, Locke and Baby Driver. Loved all those movies so it clicked me with immediately.

Don_Chipotle
TMNT Mutant mayhem No spoilers The movie is great, i love the chemistry between characters, i love its a great balance between adult jokes/kids humor, i love the animation, i think the way they show many characters as not just 100% good or 100% bad or with a moral compass its a great idea, and yeah, its fun, also, great time to arrive to cinemas after Oppenbarbie, but yeah, its great what they did with this version. Popular Post Redgrave
I only have a vague memory of Robin Hood: Men in Tights from when my step-brother was watching it a long time ago and for some reason since then the only jokes I could remember from it were the one where Blinkin was carving up the wooden pole with his sword and the one where the Sheriff of Rottingham (or Mervyn) used a garage door opener to close the gate and to this day I really don't know why those are the only ones that stood out to me. After seeing it myself I'm glad those weren't the only two I liked since a lot of the jokes from the beginning were pretty good with some halfway through feeling hit or miss but by the end it came back around again. As for Lethal Weapon 2 I still think it as well as the first one still hold up pretty well and are definitely one of the best buddy-cop movies.
unkind-tear4
I saw "The Wind Rises" at my theater as part of "Ghibli Fest 2023", I've seen all the movies on the lineup so far. Next month is "Howl's Moving Castle" and October is "Spirited Away" and I'll be all done. I've seen all of them in English (except "Spirited Away Live on Stage", which was only available subbed, I saw that one too). In the meantime, I plan to go see the remastered version of "Coraline", I never did get to see that movie in theaters whatsoever. NZBigC
I listen to the 'How Did This Get Made?' podcast, so I am watching Switch atm. Damn it is bad but not as bad as Hangman or Journey: Absolution that I also recently watched because of the podcast.
ChilledBrandon
Definitely a very good watch and nice to see Adam Sandler tackle a more serious role and knock it out of the park. Got to be one of the most stressful movies I've seen, that's for sure.

ChilledBrandon
Had a bit of a theme going on with these last few. I was really in the mood for some teen/romcom films all of a sudden. Anyways, these were all as great as I remember. I especially love Easy A, mostly down to Emma Stone who's just super enjoyable in it. The problem is I've completely lost interest in movies I very much prefer tv shows. I can't even remember when or what I last watched in the cinema, I hate going there absolutely horrible always some idiot being noisy or talking.
