I've got the plat for this one already but new DLC released in September. 9 of the 10 DLC trophies are UR but confirmed as obtainable (6 achievers). So... still eligible if I'm reading the rules right. Hopefully it's still within the spirit of the event even though I've already got the plat.

I was way too stubborn in the last event to swap anything out, and maybe adding a 700hr game into my first tier was a bit ambitious (it's almost done now). I did lurk a lot, but still enjoyed seeing everyone's progress. I hope to get a lot more done this time around!

Yes you definitely can  

Now the idea of picking a list is 1. To compare your picks with others (UR discussions are more than welcome here  ) and 2. If a game turns into Very Rare while being on your list, it still is eligible for this event.

 

But bottom line, you can submit between 0 and 10 games  just let me know in 2022 when you completed one, so I can update the main page post.

Will go ahead and sign up for this. Even if I'm probably gonna be stuck on Tier 3 for the 2021 event, it did get me to do some stuff, so I'd like to join again.

 

Will be electing to add my games as I complete them to avoid scenarios where I tell myself I'm gonna play PES 2014 only to not play PES 2014 (among other things).

 

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. Really don't wanna declare that one until it's done considering that the party game missions I have left for plat drive me mad (damn shitty Baseball party game...). At least I got done all of the main game missions...

Hey all! 

 

I feel like I need to clarify something... About the 3-month time-gated Most Wanted lists  We had this idea for two reasons...

 

First of all, to have changing incentives for people to go for specific games. The event runs for an entire year, so having time-limited lists would bring fresh wind into the event every couple of months. 

 

Secondly, we were not planning on adding the hardest of the hardest games to the list. There is no guarantee that Crypt of the NecroDancer would make it onto the list.. Or Splasher... Or Arsetto Corsa. What are the hardest games anyways? We cannot possibly know, as we noticed last year. We put stuff on the list in 2021 like Dariusburst, but didn't think of Raiden as the better alternative. We put SMB there despite there being much harder platformers... It turned out to be a list filled with "famous" games that are also somewhat challenging, and not a list of truly hard games (of course both types of games were present!). 

Instead, we wanted to use the Bounty List this year for a different purpose... Encourage people to play specific games, not necessarily because they are the hardest ones, but because of whatever other reason (few owners, truly difficult, hidden gem, etc...). 

 

However, if the majority of the feedback regarding this List is negative, and you would prefer having a fixed list composed of the hardest games out there, we can of course consider changing this aspect of the event. In that case, we would need to think about how to put together such a list, maybe accepting suggestions and then run them by a poll or something.

Just an idea but what if there was a fixed bounty list but on top of that a quarterly bounty that will simply be worth more points if completed during the time frame. That way you can keep the original idea of encouraging folks to play specific games but also make it worthwhile for people that don't want to bother with timed bounties.

Free swaps this year? Hell yeah   completing games is my first objective, not swapping around every day my 2nd ? Very happy for more swapping, i could've completed one more game in the current year if i'd have gotten one more swap

 

Here are some games i may complete which i mentioned in the Platinum Difficulty Challenge 2022 event that runs alongside

 

1. Dirt Rally: 1.61%  . Personally: 32%

2. Victor Vran: 2.48% 1.38% ?. Personally: 38%

3. EA Sports UFC 2: 1.45% . Personally: 60% (if anybody want to boost the online message me pls)

4. EDF 4.1 Shadow of a new Despair: 0.89% . Personally: 35%

5. Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes (PS4): 4.32% ?. Personally: 38%

6. Yakuza 4 (PS3): 3.75% . Personally: 0%

7. Hohokum 3.27% ?. Personally: 0%

 

I have ideas for 2 more games including Wet which i may still finish this year and Killing Floor 2 which will undoubtedly receive another UR trophy with the next update so i have to wait for to pass 2 months and then i'll put the game on this list

 

If the idea of the bounty system for this event is as @Arcesius describes it i think it'll be alright. Worth a try at least. Even though i'm curious if i even own any games to be chosen there are so many that you can pick...

I personally really like the idea of the quarterly bounties. As somebody else has mentioned maybe having a smaller fixed list of “Notorious” bounties that is present throughout the whole year, could be a good shout? Games that could well take 3 months plus for many to complete? 
 

I do agree that the rotating bounties could be amazing to bring a bit more buzz around some hidden gems that have few owners, or even some meme worthy shit of why some games are UR for the wrong reasons - janky combat or just weird trophies that none completionist folk wouldn’t waste their time with ?
 

Also, just in my opinion - having a community hyped up going for the same games within the 3 month time frame could encourage lots of excellent discussion with people working together and sharing strats etc.

I've been practicing the 6 Eleven mission songs for the past few days, improvements are slow but I'm getting there, managed 94% in Voodoo Gooroo 6TRAX so there's hope. ?
