Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 186 - ABSOLVER Date of Achievement : July 9 , 2018 Enjoyment :7,5 Difficult : 6,0Hardest Trophy : Getting Serious/The Grandmaster Absolver is a action RPG with heavy emphasis in martial arts, here we control a warrior character selected to become the next Absolver peacekeeper. The games takes place in the fictional land know as Adal a fallen kingdom which potential warriors are sent in hopes of becoming the next peacekeeper. Here we will fight, master, loot numerous challenges in hopes of becoming the next Absolver. Needless to say, as a martial art RPG expect tons of moves and precise timings, Absolver may seem easy at first but it's a game that takes tons of practice until mastering, each move is unique and they are all freely customizable. Your deck is your weapon so plan carefully and strike back upon computer controller characters or actual players. The game offers more than 100 moves to master and 4 distinct styles, all needed for the platinum. Meaning you will have to master timing and precision in order to learn everything the game has to offer. In the end, Absolver is indeed a surprisingly fun game, there's tons of customizations and the freedom to build and customize basically everything, makes each potential Absolver unique.

I may actually buy some of the other games, but first I do want the 5 or so other level packs first. Plus I also have the PS4 set too! Only five... or so... level packs...? ? GOOD LUCK. Moving on... LEGO The Hobbit (PS4) Fun: Threateningly low Difficulty: Easy-normal Not to say I didn't enjoy the characters; The Hobbit was one of my favorite books back in the day. I didn't really like the movies though, I thought it was bad enough splitting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two pieces! Worse, they didn't include the third Hobbit movie. Not like I would have enjoyed having 24 levels, but come on! Ending it with Smaug attacking Lake-Town was stupid and pointless. ? Anyways, a couple of races got me very mad(the one in Rivendell which requires an elf and used to require Mithril Horse Shoes to move faster because I kept falling off the roofs, and you ain't getting back on there when you fall off!) and I am getting burned out on having to do each level twice to get everything. (LEGO is not doing us any favors with their LEGO DLC which now requires you to go to the end comics before you can count the 100% minikit trophies.) However, if you are a big fan of Tolkein, you could do far worse than this game, but be sure to play LEGO Lord of the Rings as well to complete the pain train. (I used to hate LEGO Lord of the Rings for PS3 until I learned how twirling on those f'king poles worked.) I have two more LEGO games after this one but one has 100% in Free Play collectibles(LEGO Marvel Avengers because I HATE having to do Free Play of the last level because the last part is timed) so all I need to do is get 100% in everything and the other isn't too bad to go through(LEGO Batman 3) so I should be able to get through it quickly. (Just have six more Free Play levels and the DLC Free Play, then the clean up of hub worlds.) After that, I am swearing off of LEGO games for at least a year. LEGO City Undercover was pretty nice, it is as close you'll ever get to LEGO GTA.
Popular Post Jesaya815
#306 Deus Ex: Human Revolution Platinum You unlocked every trophy in the game. A little over a year ago, I played the Director's Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and was having a blast with it. I knew back then that I had to revisit it again at some point, to check out the differences between the Director's Cut and the normal version, as well as simply enjoying the story and gameplay just one more time. Playing Deus Ex over the past week was like meeting up with an old friend, that I haven't seen in quite a while. It was so much fun that I didn't want it to end and felt sadness after completing it. Needless to say, the series has become one of my favorites. Speaking of some of the differences, I thought I would die a lot during the boss fights, since there aren't any cheap, alternative ways to defeat them in the original version, but with enough grenades/mines and an upgraded pistol, none of them offer much of a challenge. I still had to reload older saves many times, because so many things can constantly mess up a Pacifist & Foxiest of the Hounds run, even if you know your way around. So, the game isn't perfect in any way, but it's pretty damn close.

Popular Post BlueC3029
#37 - Rise of the Tomb Raider Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Time to Platinum: 40 Hours Sigh, I wish I liked Rise of the Tomb Raider more. I was somewhat disappointed, I loved the 2013 version of Tomb Raider but I'm sad to say my love didn't continue. It felt too much like the same game, maybe I should have given a bigger gap than a year between the two games, or maybe I was a bit too excited, but at the end my expectations weren't met.

GoldenShaka
#92 Max:The curse of Brotherhood Perfect Brother Well, this game is certainly cursed, nah, but it has an annoying buggy trophy. Tree of life requires that you collect all amulet pieces in order otherwise you'll have to do it in a new playthrough. For the rest, the game is very easy, fast but very enjoyable, it's a nice platformer to kill some hours. Once you get used to the slippery grabbing mechanic for vines/ladders it's a nice ride. Popular Post mecharobot
48th , Final Fantasy X HD Game is a lot of work, took me 120 hours, even though this isn't even my first time playing. I think it is showing age a bit too. Story is still nice to go through, though it's frankly much shorter than in my memories. The platinum however is one of the less fun FFs, involving mastery of janky mini-games and even more grinding than FF XIII. In the PS2 days this was my favorite FF on the system, but I think that now in the HD-remaster times, I had a lot more fun with FF XII's plat. Still a very nice addition to any JRPG-fans collection for those who are willing to put in the time. Edited July 12, 2018 by mecharobot
Popular Post DuckSwimmer
70th Platinum: Deformers Top Form Collect all trophies Thank. God. All these server closures are literally killing me. This game was fun to just screw around in when it first came out, but the grind is so real. At least the servers are dead enough to easily boost these trophies. At one point I had the level 20 and the gold prestige trophies glitch on me and boy was that nerve-wracking lol. Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #149: SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics (July 10th, 2018) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement: 6/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 10 Hours Those who know me on this website know that I enjoy classic, retro games, especially games that SEGA developed. So when I learned that there will be a collection to be released for the PS4, I decided to buy it once it came out. While I enjoyed all the games in this collection that had a trophy/challenge tied to them, I feel the overall package was rather lackluster. The single best thing about this collection is the intro. It truly pulls you in with classic characters like Sonic the Hedgehog with a banging song that catches your attention. Once that was over you are left with a boring hub, which is a recreation of what was a typical 90s setting. There is no music, only ambient sounds you can hear depending on what time of day you set the hub by changing the clock on the wall. After the kickass intro I expected a lot more. There is a general lack of anything extra. The past collection had interviews with Japanese developers, artwork, little bios of the games and other extras you can unlock by beating certain achievements. There is none of that here, no unlockables. You have a list of trophies and challenges to help keep track of what you need left. But there is nothing that really sticks out to me, which is disappointing. The collection just feels slapped together, with a few random trophies/challenges to keep me occupied. Games like Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Ecco the Dolphin are missing, so this isn't a complete collection by any means. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker along with a slew of Disney and Konami games would of been epic, but that would of involved licensing issues with the companies who developed/published the games. So it's unlikely we will ever see those games in one collection. Maybe in their own collection, but it's rare we see anything regarding re-releases of games that came out over 20 years ago. All the games here are in their original form and I had a blast playing the Sonic games and Streets of Rage games again. Unfortunately several games, including Altered Beast, Gunstar Heroes and Alien Storm have no achievements or challenges tied to them, apart from playing 50 games out of the collection which is a gold trophy. Only a small number of games have any achievement, and I definitely would of liked to have more games with a trophy attached to them just to simply experience the games as they were. The only difficulty I had in the entire collection was the challenges. In virtually every game you have the rewind and quick save/load option, which makes progressing through the games much easier due to the fact that you can just rewind any mistakes you make. In the challenges there is no rewinding or reloading, they are simply trial and error, as was commonplace in old school games. The Golden Axe challenges kept me busy, but all in all there was nothing overly difficult in any of them. Not a bad collection, but rather disappointing compared to the past collection on the PS3. The price tag is rather high at $29.99, so I wouldn't recommend grabbing this unless you happen to be a retro Genesis fan. It has over 50 Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games for you to play, plus there is online multiplayer for anyone interested. But apart from the vast collection of games and it's trophy set there is nothing else really worth mentioning. I expected a lot more at $29.99, but instead we get some additional games and others removed. Between the two collections, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is far superior. Popular Post Desmuria
#85 - Pic-A-Pix Color Pic-of-the-Bunch Collect all the trophies Enjoyment: 3/10 Difficulty: 1/10 (with guide), 4/10 (without guide) Probably one of the ugliest platinum trophy pictures I've ever seen. Definitely one of the most boring "games" I've played (if you can even call it that). I was just after something relaxing to do, rather than fuel my addiction for Fortnite. Ended up taking me two days to bring myself to complete it. If you like pixel art and painting by numbers, this is the game for you. #86 - Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends Platinum Unlock every Trophy. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 1/10 My never-ending love for Artifex Mundi continues with Eventide 3. Compared to some of the games from the developer, I REALLY love the fantasy world ones, especially Eventide. This game was fun, beautifully drawn, decently voice acted and somewhat challenging. The trophies are easy to obtain (unless you're an idiot like me and missed one of the ornaments and had to play half the game again to get it)... If you haven't played an Artifex Mundi game before, I recommend them. Definitely start with Eventide or Nightmares from the Deep.
