Popular Post DamagingRob
#505- Fe Sustain Forest Love Iron out all the trophies Why did I play this? Ugh.. Passed on it the first time I had EA Play, and should have trusted my instincts. Just playing through it was a chore, often not knowing how to progress. And that dumb hint bird was useless. Then came the collectibles, with horrible video guides. Often a pain to find the starting point for some, with areas being inaccessible from one side, or having convoluted methods to getting there. Then, to add insult to injury, you get the ability to fly when you're done. I don't even know what the story is about. I stopped caring very quick, because of how tedious the gameplay was. Couldn't wait for it to end. Hopefully, the next game is more fun.. Platinum image: Spoiler Of course, that's the platinum image. :/

Popular Post arcanehornet_
#306: Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series ”The Long Walk” In my opinion, this is one of the best video game stories of all time.. It was so nice (and emotional) to watch Clementine mature and grow up through 4 seasons.. Not gonna lie I shed some tears when it was all over ? This collection includes 5 seasons in total (4 season with the usual cast + Michonne which is a separate story from Clementine’s). For the plat you just need to beat all of them. If anyone hasn’t played this series yet, please do so ASAP. I genuinely think it’s a masterpiece. Popular Post Viscera1900
#270 - Seasons After Fall Master of seasons "Unlock all trophies for "Seasons after Fall". Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 I needed something relaxing and slow game to play after my previous platinum trophy that was Bayonetta. I stumbled on this gem from PS Now library and it looked like something that I was searching for. It's a 2D platformer with puzzles to solve and it's visually gorgeous looking game. Trophy wise it's short and easy platinum trophy to achieve and also fairly enjoyable to play

Popular Post DefinitiveTJ
Platinum 87: Black the Fall Black the Fall is a game that is heavily inspired by Playdead but sadly falls short in comparison. It gave me Inside vibes, mostly because of the visuals, but it doesn't have a lot to say. It is weird cause there are some puzzles in it that work really well especially in the beginning but then it pads out the rest of the game with long walking and platforming sections that are quite boring. It took me about three hours which isn't long but I would say that it would be better if they focused on one hour of solid gameplay and just cut out all the parts that don't add a lot. Platinum: 88: Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man I grew up with the PlayStation 2 which means that I'm not all that familiar with the original arcade games. I'm familiar with the stories but actually playing is different. Although I do have a deep love for Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, I only played the original once on an original cabinet in a museum. This didn't stop me to think that it was gonna be easy.. And well, I had a really hard time with Pac-Man. It's almost laughable how hard at one point I rage quitted and didn't play for three months. The culprit was the trophy Om Nom Nom where you have to eat all ghost for times and two fruits in one single round. Even with using the save exploit it was simply to hard for me. But I decided that it was time to get back to it and instead of using strategies of other people I eventually decided to wing it and it weirdly helped. At first I thought I got the trophy but I forgot to eat one fruit and in almost decided to rage quit again but the try after that everything went right. Now that this is finished I will eventually start the rest of the Arcade Game Series but I can't imagine they will go very smoothly for me.

Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #79 - Adventures of Mana The Hero of Mana - Obtain all trophies. 10,013 Owners - 2,637 Achievers for a percentage of 26.30% (average completion; 36.23%) Enjoyment; 6/10 Difficulty; 2/10 Trophies; 5/10 (only four tiles although the Plat image is NICE, dull list, hilarious alliteration in names) Game Boy era nostalgia; 10/10 My third and final Platinum for the month, and the second to be exclusive to the Vita as far as Playstation platforms are concerned. This was an interesting one. On June 28th 1991 a game by the name of Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden was released for the Game Boy in Japan, followed by a North American release as Final Fantasy Adventure five months later, and a release as Mystic Quest (why tho?) in Europe in 1993. Whatever you want to call it, this game was intended to be a small side story to the 'proper' Final Fantasy games on consoles and mixed FF's trademark RPG mechanics with the general gameplay of The Legend of Zelda (Link's Awakening plays incredibly similar to this game despite coming out two years later). For the second game the Zelda-esque elements were dropped, resulting in a more streamlined RPG experience. That sequel? The famous and much loved Secret of Mana. Besides obviously leading to Secret, the original Seiken Densetsu/Mana is also notable for being the debut of Yoshinori Kitase who would go on to play a big role in the development of future Final Fantasy titles. Yet this first game was more or less forgotten as the world moved on, until Square realized in 2015 that the 25th anniversary of its release was fast approaching. A complete, faithful remake was commissioned for mobile devices and the floundering Playstation Vita, launching in February 2016 as Adventures of Mana. You might not be particularly interested in the blurb about the original 1991 game, but for all intents and purposes, this 2016 title is the same game. Almost the exact same. Sure, the graphics were spruced up, but no alterations were made to story, gameplay, or even the world; every single tile is 1:1 the same as it was two and a half decades ago. This insane degree of adherence to the original product is something I have never, ever seen from a remake, and in a way I believe it should be commended as I'm sure we can all name a few remakes that actively changed things for the worse. However, sticking so tightly to the 1991 recipe also means that you get a game of that year's standards - the 'open world' if you can call it that is a tad small and rather bland, some of the design decisions are insanely frustrating (you constantly need to stock up on mattocks and keyrings to progress), and even the old 2^16 integer value remains (meaning that any number in the game including your coins cannot go over 65535). And the most infamous puzzle of the Game Boy era remains as well; in the desert, you are given the hints 'eight' and 'two palm trees'. The player has to then figure out that they need to run in that pattern around two specific trees to open the next dungeon. This was and is virtually undoable without a guide and the internet is littered with anecdotes of people who played the original in the 90's and were stuck for months or even years. If one commits to overlooking these little idiosyncracies, there is a lot to love in this game; a simple but endearing story that doesn't pull any punches and a whole slew of diverse bosses to do battle against. You also get a nice shiny Platinum for your efforts, although some of the Trophies are a little counter-intuitive - you can miss out on multiple Golds if you invest level up points in the Sage or Monk classes even once and to reach level 99 for Gemma Knight you are expected to grind about 50 levels by reloading the same tile over and over and over and killing the two or three enemies that spawn there - a process that can take between 5 to 10 hours. And seeing as there is no post-game or New Game +, you need to collect all items, weapons, armor, shields, and helms for each of their Silver Trophies in one run or be forced to reload a save or even do a second playthrough - the latter is a common occurance for weapons as there is one particular sword that is tied to a specific, missable room that is not available for exploration later on. There is also one nasty hardlock where your Chocobo (this is a FF side game after all) will spawn on the other side of the world outside of your reach just when you need it to progress further into the game - I had this happen and lost three hours of gameplay, plus another two in getting back to where I became locked. An unwelcome frustration in what was otherwise a very enjoyable affair. If there are still any Vita owners knocking around this thread, I can wholeheartedly recommend Adventures of Mana to them; with a guide and a bit of care, you'll get a dozen enjoyable hours plus a bit of a grind for the Plat out of this game Edited January 30, 2021 by Golem25
Popular Post Jelly Soup
#142 - Final Fantasy 7 (PS4) Was surprised to see how many of the visuals still hold up after all these years. Although I don't remember the story being such a damn anime. One thing, this release came with a x3 speed option and the game functions so much better with it. The original is really, really slow about everything.

Popular Post Duffcar
#151 - Saw After coming off a Saw movie marathon with my partner as it's one of her favourite franchises I decided to seek out the Saw 1 & 2 PS3 games. We spent the week playing this one together and having a pretty good time with it overall. It was a nice feeling doing this one almost entirely with my partner alongside for the journey (fairly enough she tapped out once I still required to stomp 5 minions to death after an hour of flat trying... but alas! I'm there now and feel I'm a much more proficient curb stomper because of it! Popular Post Viper
#213 Suicide Guy Platinum Trophy #214 Suicide Guy: Sleepin' Deeply Platinum Trophy Not much to say about these EZPZ's. One of those games where the concept is cool but the execution is total shit. You fall asleep on the couch while drinking beer and your beer starts to fall out of your hand...so the game takes place in his dreams and he has to go through each level solving puzzles to find unique ways to kill himself over and over so he can wake up before the beer hits the ground. But the gameplay is very simple minded, the graphics are worse than some PS2 games, and the platforming is so floaty it's hard to get a grasp on precise jumping...which you need in some timed levels. The sequel felt more like a glorified DLC. Exact same controls, gameplay and terrible graphics...just longer levels (but far less of them, 6 levels compared to like 24). Luckily I paid under $3 for both of them...so no big loss.

Popular Post Mayellie
#34 - Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet Ultimate Sweet You've seen everything in the game! Thanks for playing! I reaaaaally felt that I could go for a super short and easy game to brighten things up among all my horrible Destiny 2 grind for the platinum. What better game to pick than Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet? This is an incredibly short visual novel revolving around the adorable story of candy-maker Syrup, her assistant Pastille, and a talking candygirl Gumdrop who randomly shows up outside Syrup’s candy shop, where all her delicious candy is made magic-free! As you play, you’ll have the option of selecting different dialogue choices, each opening up several different paths and outcomes to the story. The shortest run (and worst ending… and the ending I accidentally went for first… ) would take 5 minutes, with the longest and best path taking up to 15-20 minutes. If you pick the idea path which branches into several others, you’ll get to go on a mini quest to make the best candy in all of existence – the Ultimate Sweet! What caught my eye about this game was its incredibly cute and sweet (pun intended) artstyle and characters! Everything is so so adorable, and it made me wish that real life was as cute and bubbly as this fantasy world. I played the game several times trying to unlock different endings myself before checking the in-game menu for what else I was missing, and the choices I needed to make to get them. Since it’s so short, it’ll hardly take you longer than 2 hours to see all endings. Something I liked was you could fast forward through dialogue you’ve already read, but at points you haven’t seen before, the game would slow down so you wouldn’t miss them. This was important to me because I play games to genuinely enjoy them and read their story, so I wasn’t rushing through the dialogue, nor did I buy it just for an easy platinum. I can recommend this short-but-sweet game for anyone looking for a quick break from demanding games, or anyone interested in cute characters, a funny dialogue, and cheerful music. Enjoyment: 8/10 Time: 2h Edited January 31, 2021 by Mayellie
Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
A couple of new platinum trophies! Nos. 206 & 207! Asterix & Obelix XXL Romastered The village’s best warrior! And with this game the Asterix trilogy is now complete! But, as you can see, this game is the rarest in the trilogy. This is due to the second run on extreme difficult, which is extremely unfair and annoying, especially in the final battle in Rome against 1.000 Romans! One hit drains more than a half shield, and the combo gauge is really hard to fill in order to unleash the twister attack: you always need to sprint, isolate (and pack together) a couple of Romans and punch them in order to slowly build the gauge. But, after 5 or 6 (failed) attempts, the framerate drops down to... 20? So, you need to close the application and restart the game. And pray in order to overcome this final battle! The extreme run is the hardest trophy of the game, together with some time challenges, but if you're an Asterix fan this game is really fun! I still believe that XXL2 is the funniest game, XXL3 is good but quite different. Unfortunately XXL is full of glitches: a couple of time my character got stuck by an invisible hole and the framerate isn't quite stable. The nice feature is the transition between the rematered game and the original one with a simple button (), and sometimes the original game is better than the remastered! And finally, platinum screenshot on the main menu! Untitled Goose Game A secret prize The platinum icon is very wrong, because they should have put the red triangle with the goose! Anyway, this is a short and fun game, where you're a very pesky goose, which wrote down different tasks in order to annoy a little town, like throwing the Gardener rake in the lake, steal items from a shop or a pub, etc. The art is really nice and the situations are fun, and the trophies are really easy. There are four speedrun trophies, where you need to complete an area within 6 minutes, and once you know what to do they're not really difficult. Maybe the speedrun in the back gardens could be annoying, because the AI of the people is atrociuos and sometimes they don't follow you, doing something else. Reload and retry! My favourite area is the first one, with the poor Gardener! Running around with the radio is really fun! But strangely, the rarity is "only" 30 %: I expected a higher number (something like 50% or more), since this game is really short and easy, but probably this is due to the speedrun trophies... Finally the platinum screenshot after having completed all the tasks! Honk! And remember: this is the game which made the "peace was never an option" meme! These two guys are ready...
