Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 125! And new trophy milestone! Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Vesperia Master With this I've two Tales of platinum milestones in a row! And this is officially my longest platinum (139 hours and 47 minutes). First thing about the platinum image: when I saw it I immediately thought about Tolkien heraldry (they copied it! I said...), especially the Eärendil emblem: They both refer to a star (the Morning Star in Tales, called Ardor Vesperia (only?) in Italian; the last Silmaril brought by Eärendil in the sky and called "the evening star") And after my short literature digression I go back to the game. Great characters and good story, I loved their background and evolution (like the friendship between Rita and Estelle). My favourite is... Raven . Probably because I prefer old people, but actually I really liked his story, especially the discovery of his double identity in the undergroun temple and his past as a (dead) "war survivor" brought back to life with an artificial heart. But also his stupid behaviour in the Hot Springs event and when he fainted in front of Judith... Really?! And about the girls... Judith! Followed by Rita. But there's one thing I don't understand: why is she no more in the opening?! I found this opening version on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve4LqfqpdSE (check the minutes 1:35 - 1:40) And this is the Definitive Edition opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_PSES-CHrQ (check the minutes 2:15 - 2:20) After the Karol scene in Dahngrest we have Patty on the ship, but in the other version there's Rita who's watching the sky ?. Why this difference? PS3/XboX/PS4 version? Now, a couple of things I didn't like: 1. restaurant minigame: I really hate this. People with eating disorders who want 13 parfaits, 22 spaghetti, 15 soups forget it, 17 ice creams forget it, 12 roast beef forget it, 16 soups (I swear, they behave in this way! The change their mind with 4 or 5 food ideas and in the end they usually want what they wanted at the beginning! I wanted to throw them out of the restaurant...) 2. boss dog sidequest: a very long and boring sidequest where you have to camp in every area of the world...? 3. coliseum solo fights: I didn't enjoy these 200 solo battle, and I had a really hard time with Rita with the last one, since he kept healing himself and I almost ran out of time. But I took my sweet revenge with Judith...? I know what are you thinking and you're right: I'm a really bad person , but he deserved it! And now the good thing: the auto grind sessions! Really, there should be more games with this function: I just let it auto grind the grades (for NG+), the 100 fatal strikes, the experience (in the Nostalgia Necropolis until level 158-159, then I used the free pack DLC to reach level 198-199 and then 200!) and the bunny guild+ unknown points. I think I let it run for 10 (maybe 15) hours, and I was playing Ys Origin in the meanwhile... But last year I was auto grinding the Comrades DLC (for the 1,000,000 kW) while I was playing Tales of Xillia ! In the end one of the best JRPG I played, but my favourite Tales is still Xillia, probably because it was the first game of the series that I played! And I almost forgot... The platinum screenshot: nothing too great, I was just wandering around the world: But I really loved the night in this game! I mean, this could have been an excellent platinum screenshot!
Popular Post Masamune
Adventures of Mana The Hero of Mana Obtain all trophies. Difficulty: 2.5/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Playtime: 14:35 (2 days, 14 hours, 50 minutes) Screenshot: Spoiler It was okay, not really what I expected though (kinda reminded my of an old Zelda game). ? I pretty much lost interest in the story after what happened after the Medusa fight, that ending wasn't too good either. ? Gameplay was very easy, most enemies go down with 1 or 2 hits, & the "boss" fights can barely be called that. ? The World Map could've used a bit more detail too, I got lost more than once trying to find some of the locations in this game (& it's not always clear where you need to go)... But easily the worst thing in this game was the amount of times you need to swap around your equipment/spells to either get past a room or kill a different type of enemy (even with the shortcut keys, it's nauseating). I think I was opening up that damn menu every couple rooms in some of those dungeons (& of course if you move too far away, the puzzles/doors/etc reset, so if you have to backtrack, you have to do it all again), that's what really sucked a lot of the fun out of this game. As for the trophies, as long as you don't miss any of the collectables (I had to backtrack for 3), they're easy. The only grindy one is Lv99, & I got that in about 3 & a half hours of elephant massacring (Lv57-99). I thought it'd be best to use Excalibur for that, but I found the Demon Axe to be much better (it deals extra damage to Beastmen, so usually 1 hit kills, & its limit attack has a lot shorter animation).

Popular Post Omar
#146 & 147 - Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition and PaRappa The Rapper Remastered Vesperia Master - Proof of completing Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. Hip Hop Hero - Unlock all other trophies. You've gotta believe! Thank you very much for playing! Achieved: July 10th, July 12th PSNP's RS: Very Rare, Rare Difficulty: 2, 4 Enjoyment: 10, 9 I'm in with a double win today! Let's go one by one. As a long-running Fire Emblem fan, I am pretty hyped when it comes to Three Houses and it doesn't help how it comes out 2 days before my birthday I decided I was going to challenge myself to achieve a tricky platinum trophy before the game's launch and my choice was Tales of Vesperia because I wanted to play it and its insane missable frames and content volume would certainly pose a threat. Good thing I was incredibly optimal and managed to get it done with 2 weeks to spare! The game felt much MUCH better than on my 360 run, since that was on a friend's console and it was a fragmented and somewhat distracted playthrough. I love all of the classic Tales elements present and the announcement of Tales of Arise just when I had started playing it made it all feel a tad more special Once I aced that, the dreading 2 weeks before Fire Emblem began, and I literally didn't feel like playing anything so I went through my backlog in search for a short, fun game. PaRappa seemed like the perfect choice and in the end it has been but barely so! Rhythm in the game is absolutely all over the place and for a little while I felt like nothing I was doing could work in my favor I persevered and basically adjusted to what the game wanted me to do and that's when all the Cool ratings started happening. I love how charming the game is even today but it sure didn't feel as criminally short way back when! Now I am exactly 2 weeks away from turning 27, can't wait! ? Fun fact: I was 20 years old when I joined PSNP, I'm a veteran at this point ? Edited July 12, 2019 by Omar

Popular Post OobiGod
Platinum #16 Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition Guacamelee! Platinum trophy Luchador #1! Since this game is essentially the same in gameplay as guac 1 I'm gonna copy paste some of what I said. "Anyway this game is really fun. The combat is so fucking fast paced and fun... Story is fun too but I didn't pay attention as much for this playthrough." This game is obviously building up to what guacamelee 2 eventually achieves. I do wish intenso stayed for guacamelee 2 but for when the next gen version of guacamelee 2 happens I expect it in there. I prefer the skill tree system of guacamelee 2 more compared to the shop system in this game. I found infierno pretty easy this game compared to the proving grounds of 2 (which i did cause of course i got the dlc for that game). Overall I really recommend this game. Honestly 1 and 2 are somehow becoming peak indie games for me I never expected that. Also hard mode was really easy, I only did one playthrough. Probably platting ice age 3 next lol. Hoping to save the newly announced ice age game for platinum #20 lmao.

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #73 - Fe Sustain Forest Love, 36.03% Rarity Difficulty - 4/10 , Time Spent - ~15 Hours , Enjoyment 5.5/10 Fe is an adventure-platformer game that has you playing as an unnamed squirrel-fox-type animal called a Fe, which apparently means "Fairy" in Swedish. The Fe wanders around various ecosystems while enlisting the help of other animals in order to combat some forest-destroying humanoids called The Silent Ones. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this game. It is certainly more positive than negative (hence why I rated my enjoyment of this game slightly above average), but overall... I think I was just disappointed. I watched trailers for this game well before it's release last year and was super excited for it. Then came the negative reviews and apprehension to start the game because of them. When I finally did start it, everything was so confusing that I hated it... only to start enjoying it after about 4-5 hours and getting the hang of the controls. Anyway... Fe relies predominantly on platforming techniques-- running, jumping, climbing, gliding, etc-- with the various techniques being gained as you gather Ability Crystals (the lengthiest part of the trophy list is gathering all 75 ability crystals). Where the game is unique is that you also rely on learning "songs" throughout the game by helping all the animals of the forest; not only do these songs allow you to befriend all animals of the same species and have them help you, but each song also allows you to interact with different parts of the ecosystem, which allows you to access more parts of the forest (for instance, learning the bird song allows you to ride on birds and also open up plants that dispense seeds that you can throw to break down certain barriers). In addition to using the platforming techniques and song abilities, you also have to employ stealth tactics in certain areas as you will be trying to evade The Silent Ones quite often. This game is also very artistic. The music in the game is very ambient and fits in perfectly with the surrounds. The art is also beautiful-- the iridescent polygonal backgrounds and characters are what drew me to this game initially. However, though beautiful, I really did not like it functionally in a video game. The contrast between shapes wasn't always apparent, and sometimes the slight color variations is all that would delineate a "slick" surface that you'd slide off of from a standard one that serves as a "playable surface". Also, speaking of surfaces and controls... one minor annoyance is that there would be certain "rocky" surfaces that you could climb up or jump up on but other rocky surfaces of the same distance would not allow you to climb up them... quite annoying when trying to navigate an area. And then there's the plot and the direction the game gives you. The game doesn't really provide you with a lot of hints for what you're supposed to be doing; they'll provide you with markers on your map for your current objectives, but other than that, it's pretty much up to you to figure out how to get to those objectives. There's very little text in the game (mostly reserved for when you obtain a new ability), so you really have to watch for what's happening on the screen and attempt mimicking anything that another animal is doing. Some people enjoy this minimalist direction... I'm not exactly sure if I liked it. I also didn't like how open to interpretation the plot was.... still not sure who/what The Silent Ones were supposed to be (I have about 3-4 different theories), still not 100% sure why they were attacking the forest and the various creatures, and still not exactly sure what was going on with that ending. I'm not sure if I just missed something while going through the game, or if it was truly supposed to allow for this much interpretation. I guess it is kind of fun to think about all the various stories, but I would kind of appreciate some sort of director's or writer's commentary. All in all, not a terrible game, but certainly could have done things better. I have been seeing the game in nearly every sale, and I think it's definitely worth the 75% off price point that I typically see it at.
AK-1138
Platinum #283: Difficulty: ?/10 (I'll never know how hard jt really is for reasons that are about to become patently obvious) Playtime: 5 hours, 5 minutes Enjoyment: 6/10 A clever little top down puzzler with a devious difficulty curve. Had to tap out and resort to solutions on at least half of them because that's just how I roll. When difficulty or repetitiveness start to adversely affect my opinion of a game (which had already plateaued pretty early on, to be honest), it just isn't worth it... not for me, and not for the game. But even so, I could always enjoy how convoluted or counter-intelligent a puzzle was even while "cheating", as it were. It's woefully underwritten and the story is hard to follow. The music was just a bizarre, sometimes hugely jarring bunch of disparate noise, to the point of distraction. The walking speed is atonally slow, and the strange "half-step" mechanic combined with the not-quite-top-down graphical design can sometimes confuse you as to what tile you're on in the game world... especially during some weird bonus levels that try and fail to marry the clunky gameplay to facsimiles of Pac-Man and Bomberman. That was no fun at all, man. The puzzles and spell-based gameplay mechanics can often be clever and/or fun but overall it comes off as misguided and half-baked. There was some unique potential here that was never able to reach full flower, and that's kind of sad.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#236: The Circle is Now Complete After numerous instances of almost starting this game, I finally sat down and got it done. This one was another game from an old account that I didn't finish then, but wanted to now. However, this one was different, in that I didn't even start the game; I inherited the trophies from this game and a handful of others on a blank User that I didn't check to see was clear before recovering my account. The story?......... Eh, I decided not to get invested, so I couldn't tell you if it's good or not. This is for a couple reasons; I don't have any real connection to the Star Wars franchise outside of liking the original trilogy, I didn't play the first one, and I really hate that this is a clone story. I didn't play the first one, but this game was kind enough to show me flashbacks, so I know that the true Starkiller is dead. But still, this new clone is almost just like him, and the narrative goes on like he was always alive, so, what is the point of him being a clone? If you're gonna do all that, than just Jesus the original Starkiller back to life; don't back-n-forth where you try to continue the story like nothing happened in one instance, then remind us that the original characters' corpse is rotting away somewhere while this schmuck is taking his place the next. Well, not like it matters anyways, as the expanded universe was pretty much jettisoned when Disney bought the property out. Thankfully, the gameplay is quite a bit of fun. You've got a wide array of Star Wars powers that are fun to use AND are all useful, you got some pretty nifty set-pieces, and the game never drags on too long, so replaying the levels was never a chore. There are some hiccups though. First is the odd collision detection. There have been many times during the platforming when I'll go for a jump, but by coincidence I'll hit an uneven patch of ground which completely destroys upwards trajectory, and of course, these were areas hanging over bottomless pits, so off the edge I go. This only is a problem in regards to a trophy, and maybe the last boss fight, so it's more an annoyance than a big deal. What's a bit worse are the input delays, which are the reason I died as often as I did. I could pull off a seamless chain of moves needed to survive one fight, then struggle as the game refuses to detect my inputs in the next, leading me to huge chunks of life. I honestly believe this is the reason why people cite the Challenges as the most difficult part; the methods needed to meet these conditions require consistently responsive controls, but more often than not you find yourself losing huge chunks of time and restarting because the game doesn't want to recognize what you are doing. That aside, I still did have fun with the game, more than I thought I would. While some areas were annoying, checkpoints are generous and numerous, so you are never far off from the area to try again quickly. There is a good costume saber combo that helps alot, and if you max out the right abilities, you can easily spam moves in a pinch if you play smart. That's all you need to do; know when to attack and dodge, which attacks work and don't, and if worst comes to worst, unleash your L3+R3 super form. And if you can do the GoW challenges, you can get through these without much problem. Edited July 17, 2019 by RedRodriguez87

Popular Post Boomshanks
( 51) Worms Ultimate Mayhem Platinum Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Finally decided to clear this one of my backlog. I’ve been a huge fan of the Worms franchise for quite some time and I used to play Worms 2 on the PC a lot so I decided to buy a few Worms games to play with friends on the PS3 as well. For some reason we couldn’t really get into them at that time so the games stayed pretty much untouched for a few years. Then, last month I felt like playing the game again and had an absolute blast completing it. This game is a remaster and combination of Worms 3D and Worms 4. I had never played Worms 3D before, but back on the PS2 I played Worms 4 a lot with friends and it was amazing. The story mode is pretty fun and offers some nice level designs, though the levels are very easy to complete and you should be done with the entire campaign in about 2/3 hours. The times to beat are challenging to go for, but aren’t required for any trophies. The real fun is in the versus mode. Here you can play with friends or against the computer and you can pretty much customize the entire game, including the weapons that are available. My favorite thing is that you can pick three modifiers per match, ranging from double damage to low gravity which can lead to some insane and hilarious matches. One time, the computer used a Concrete Donkey and accidentally killed 13 out of the 16 worms on the map including his own entire team which had me in tears . This had me really nostalgic for the old days of couch co-op and Worms might actually be one of the few games that I can see myself playing with friends again in the near future even though I already have the platinum. I had a lot of fun with the challenges and deathmatches as well as they ask you to get creative with certain weapons and are challenging without being too difficult. All in all, it’s a relatively simple and stress-free plat for anyone who is looking for a fun game in between some tougher challenges.

Popular Post Z-Yux
Platinum #70: Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Difficulty: 5/10 Time-To-Platinum: ~60 Hours After playing the first two in the series, I had to get the third one. While I think the 2nd one is slightly better in terms of the murders, this one surpasses the other two in terms of the characters. The platinum in itself wasn't terribly difficult, but I had an unusually difficult time with the Floor 50 and Floor 100 Boss of Monokuma's Dungeon Test. All in all, I really enjoyed all the extra content that this game had to offer like its take on School Mode, the Casino, and even the Development Plan and Monokuma Dungeon Test.
AK-1138
Platinum #284: Lili - Child of Geos Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 3 hours, 52 minutes Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Lili is one of those games I'll probably just replay once every year anyways, stack or no. A short burst of fun that runs on wackiness, kinetic energy, and a constant feeling of accomplishment and positive reinforcement... it's just a joy. It's still one of the most well-polished indie games on the PS4, running at a crisp and solid 60FPS, all the while basking in the glory of its luxurious shader and lighting effects. With a few hours' worth of more content, some more additions and revisions to the gameplay, and more care given to the storytelling and emotional beats, this could have been a minor modern classic. Irregardless and respective, it's still a bit of a rare gem that you don't see enough of these days. This is just what I needed to dispel the lingering pain of InnerSpace. ...Yeah, I have no idea how I was able to cut down the completion time of the EU version by more than an hour, either. I deliberately left some non-essential side quests until after the platinum but that still didn't take more than half an hour. Chalk up the other half hour to me knowing exactly what to do this time, maybe? Grinding the jars, a bore though it is, didn't even seem to take as long this time. Maybe time really is relative...
