PS5 Leaderboard for some reason everyone is always new on it, related to this but it takes ages for the updated rank like other parts are usually done if a few hours PS5 can take longer but I have noticed it's been a bit faster lately, yes forum takes ages to load, another issue I had it was once but I updated my profile and the games were loaded in but the numbers weren't updated for some reason, updated again about half an hour later and it worked fine. Compared to literally every other site I use, including the Profiles side of this site, these Forums are slow. It seems a bit quicker lately, but in general it's still taking 4-5 seconds every time you click on a link or reload a page. Sure, 4-5 seconds isn't a lot, but it's a lot more than the 1 second it takes to reload my profile, the site homepage, a trophy list or guide, etc. Basically, in my experience, the forums are 400%-500% slower than the rest of the site, so either there's something wrong with the way it's setup, the servers it's running on are overwhelmed, or there's so many trackers and ads loading that its bogging everything down. The forum is just slow, not much you can do about it. 4-5 seconds sounds about right. Some subsections don't load at all, for example "Game Forums - S". My guess would be that the forum software (Invision Board) is not optimized for so many subforums (22 000+ subforums) or some scaling issue with database. My own post was 90% on-topic and was just removed it seems... This is the only forum I've ever used where posts will just be silently removed without any explanation. I've lost count of how many of my posts have been removed over the years. Some of them I understand why they were likely removed, but a lot I genuinely don't. And I never get any kind of DM explaining the removal, never gotten any warning points either so that's a plus at least... I guess? I really hate to "mod whine", and this is yet again the only forum where I feel the need to do so tbh. I've had my fair share of complaints about some specific mods on other sites throughout the years, but I never felt the need to make them public as it usually isn't too big of a deal or complaints/concerns are taken a bit more seriously. The mods here just seem to make up the rules as they go along to be completely honest. The forum guidelines aren't a good indicator of what can and can't be posted, because there's countless things I've come across here that you would think would break those very guidelines, but they don't as far as the mods are concerned. Which make the guidelines kind of null and void. Whenever concerns/complaints are brought up, I often just see the mods telling you to discuss things with them in private, to which they often never respond to anyway, or to "just report". Which... I do. I've reported shit tons of things throughout the years that seem to break the forum rules and they go completely ignored about 80% of the time. Meanwhile, something that doesn't seem to break any rules will just be randomly removed without any explanation. It's beyond frustrating and it's one of the main reasons why I can't take this forum seriously any more, and don't have much desire to browse or post beyond asking simple questions related to games/trophies or providing any info/answers I think may be helpful/relevant to people here. This, along with the fact that the site in general feels semi-abandoned by its creator, just doesn't make for a great experience.
