Sooooo a bit of an early update, but I have a few things coming up this weekend and may not have much time on my hands. I just finished my "kill everyone" run of Until Dawn which was my final trophy required for the platinum. I started playing Until Dawn over 4 years ago just for a bit of fun with a mate one night, but I finally decided to go for the platinum. Surprisingly on my blind (both drunk and without a guide) playthrough 4 years ago we managed to get a fair chunk of the collectables and all but one of the miscellaneous trophies, so all I needed to do was save everyone in one playthrough and then kill them all in the second one. Good times! Anywho, moving on to the last two games on my list now. Next chance I have to sit down and fire up something I'll definitely be jumping straight into Alice: Madness Returns. I'll torture myself after I finish Madness Returns by playing through the original game to get the last couple of bronze trophies for the 100%. I loved the original game back in the day on PC but god damn those camera controls haven't aged well! I've also thought about what games to knock out over summer. I'll be focusing mostly on PS3 games, but the one exception will by Mary Skelter: Nightmares 2. Sucks I couldn't get an English copy on PS4, but I do have the Chinese language version and I have been learning some Mandarin so we'll see how that goes. When in doubt I'll call my partner to help translate Happy hunting, everyone!

Popular Post oxford_wolf007
Update 5 April’s just about done! Really feel like I’ve been making a good dent in my backlog, especially for games that have been sitting for years. Here’s to the final month of the Spring Challenge! Immortals Fenyx Rising I finished this up. The end game is very grindy, even if you’re working on myth quests, vaults, and chests throughout the game. I needed to go through about 30 more chests to get the rest of the gems I needed to upgrade my weapons and armor, after finishing everything else. Still enjoyed it, and might replay the PS4 version legit at some point....if I even run out of games in my backlog.... Ratchet and Clank I was dreading getting back into this game. I started it on normal difficulty, and I feel like I keep getting hit and dying for no reason. It makes no sense how much different enemies harm you, and the ground smash has almost no use. Whenever I use it, I rarely hit any of the enemies, the ones I do hit get very little damage, and then they hit you like 5 times before you can get another hit in. Overall it’s been frustrating. I died to the final boss like 15 times on normal (I had him down to 20% soooooo many times), changed it to easy, died a few more times, and finally beat him. Still have some of challenge mode left, hoping to finish it up next week. Octodad Enjoyable story, less fun when you go for the trophies. I don’t mind the controls, I think they’re pretty well implemented. Blasted my way through Elden Ring in just 2 weeks, It would have been just 1 week but I saved the platinum to be my #3500th trophy, and it took me a week to get enough trophies to get there. Everything that could be said about this game probably already has been, but anyway I loved it, and will probably look to go back to some older from soft games that I've left as now Im in the mood for that sort of game. I've also started playing Gran Turismo 7 this week, not a lot of trophies earnt but I'm a couple missions away from finishing the cafe menu's and I purchased one of the cars required for the Three Legendary Cars trophy, hopefully the other two cars that are required will cycle back in to the legend cars dealership. I was leaving this trophy until it was confirmed which cars worked, rather than buying the many cars that were theorized to possibly work through the months. But with the required cars being confirmed the other day I jumped back in to pick up the most recent one and start working on the other trophies again. I'm thinking about using one of my swaps to swap in Ghosts of Tsushima, perhaps for Days Gone or Mafia, as I've finally started playing that recently and would quite like to play it to completion, I also think it could be a little while before I feel like picking up either of those games so seems like it may be a good fit. I'll ponder on this for a little while. Great work on those backlogs everyone, keep it up, and have a great week!

Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Alright bros, bras, babes, and banes, it's time for my end of month update! Which is to say, I just platinumed Odin Sphere Leifthrasir so I finally have something to report. I always feel awkward making these sorts of posts if I don't have a new game to report my completion of. Anyway, what a grind Odin Sphere was. Maybe that's partially my fault, since I spent way too much time getting food to level up with - though I'm not sure leveling up actually gives you any significant bonuses outside of just giving you more points for skills, which there are a set number of and bunch of them are useless anyway. Decent game, but I'm not sure I'd rate it as highly as a lot of people seem to. It's been my focus alongside Skyrim VR for much of the month, so I'll finally have time for some shorter games next month. Haven't touched Skyrim VR since I went camping last weekend, but now that Odin Sphere's done with I'll give it some more time. Anyway, happy May eve, everyone. current list: Spoiler IN PROGRESS: Monster Sanctuary - 18% Skyrim VR - 28% COMPLETED: Hypnospace Outlaw - 100% Odin Sphere Leifthrasir - 100% NOT YET STARTED: Ghost Giant - 0% Falcon Age - 28% Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son - 0% Pixel Ripped 1995 - 7% Bow to Blood - 44% Moss - 10% Forgotten Anne - 0% Duke Nukem 3D: World Tour - 0% Neon City Riders - 0%

Popular Post Jelly Soup
RIGHT THEN. Been a busy two months so I've not touched this yet. I knew that was going to happen, so I specifically picked games I needed to finish that I knew were on the short side. I could feasibly do this in a couple days, maybe long with the PSVR since that requires having the willpower to hook that mess up. Think I'll take advantage of that and finish off a couple other VR games while I'm at it. Business end of this challenge starts today.
Popular Post GraniteSnake
Completed Mafia III a few days ago. I really enjoyed the setting, characters and the way in which the story was told. Unfortunately the gameplay is the games biggest flaw, it's very repetitive throughout the entire course of the game. The side quests really take the piss with how much needless driving you need to do - and there was no fast travel to alleviate this. One thing I must say is that the soundtrack was absolutely amazing, it was worthy of a better game in my opinion. Trophy glitches and the need to downgrade the game to get the trophies working correctly make it almost impossible to recommend this game. It's a shame. Two Supergiant games left. I'll try and get them done over the course of the month! Bastion Mafia III - 100% Pyre Steins;Gate 0 - 100% Unravel - 100%

But my orientation playsession fixed me so much that I played it almost exclusive since then, and now I´m at the start of act 2(of 3, I think). Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth (EU) What a fantastic metroidvania. It felt like a Record of Lodoss War mod for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (which isn´t a bad thing), down to the point, that Deedlit has a coat and a shadow/duplicat effect after every of her movements. She also gets 2 elemental spirits (fire and wind) that can make her imune to certain enviroments and attacks (like in Ikaruga or Outland). The games story plays after the original ova and it is advantageous to know the characters and story of that anime to enjoy the story more, because the game doesn´t really explain it or has some sort of story synopsis for it. The only point that I doesn´t like, is that the game felt a bit short for me. Trophywise there is nothing missable in the game and most are coming naturally through play. The only one that was a bit harder, was the S rank in the archery training, but with the video in the guide on this side it wasn´t to hard.
Popular Post StilRh
Hi guys. This week I've spent a fair bit of time gaming. Not all of it is related to my list though, with the hype around Dune Spice Wars, I've been playing another game by the same studio, Northgard - I don't have a PC so I can't play Dune but seeing footage made me want to try something in the same vein. I'm still grinding resources in Nier Replicant and doing missions in Deep Rock Galactic with no trophies to show for it. I've progressed a little bit in LOH: Cold Steel 2, I think I'm onl a few hours away from the next chapter trophy. I don't know what I'll be playing this week yet. Popular Post Heather342
Update 9 Hi everyone, hope you've had a great week ?. Feel like I've made some pretty good progress in the Spring challenge. I started the week by finishing up the umbrella run on Death's Door. This was a really good game, I very much enjoyed it and would also highly recommend this game if you're looking for a good indie game to play. It's not a difficult game, the trophy list is pretty straightforward, and even the run using the umbrella, once you upgraded your skills enough it wasn't even that noticeable that you're using the weakest weapon in the game. After I'd finished Death's Door, the rest of my week was playing Hades. I've managed to get through almost all of the remaining trophies, but now I'm at the mercy of RNG. I need certain dialogue to come up when I'm talking to NPCs to advance things, but I'm not having too much luck. In particular I'm trying to finish Achilles and Patroclus quest, all I need is for Nyx to tell me where in the Administrative Chamber the contract is so I can resolve the final step....but she will not give me the dialogue ?. From what I've seen on the forums, you just have to keep talking to Nyx, Achilles and Patroclus and eventually it'll show up, but who knows when that'll be ? Popular Post DFuzed
Time for another update. More games done, some that I was surprised that I got done in time for this update. While I was able to finish some I know that some of the games I play won't be done before the end of the challenge and some might be not done completely. Which ones are in which column, well: Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered - Playing this game again almost ten years later I forgot a lot about the game, including how grindy parts of it were. But I remembered quickly, especially when it came to alchemy, taming 250 familiars and the maxing out a familiar's fulfillment and training them. I did remember other parts too, especially the British accents and the British humour of Smiley and Surly. I clocked 100 hours in a month's time in finishing this. Admittedly some of that was me looking up things like formulas, locations on ingredients and familiars and the such so it might have been less than that if I did some of that while not playing. And I just platted it earlier in the week just before the month finished. Most of the trophies were only available after the main story so they came fast and furious. Just wish some of the stuff they had in the end game was available much earlier in the game, especially the car. Flowers by POWGI (PS4 & PS5) - I have played the POWGI games for years as part of of my break-glass-in-case-of-emergency trophies. Some have been more enjoyable, some were less enjoyable and some were just bland, do the trophies needed then quit the game. This lays in-between the less enjoyable and bland games, where I could see how to play the game within minutes and can solve the puzzles with a minute each time. I've platted the PS5 version and got a good portion of the PS4 version done too. Trying to slow down on these trophies buy hard when I had a game with no trophies to get for long periods and will be same with the next game I play. Persona 4 - Not much to post here as I just started playing it again literally yesterday, getting another dungeon done and finishing the midnight quizzes. Will be picking this back up again now that I have my other main game is done. Hades - I've been slowly working on this, trying to play it every other day when possible to get some of the trophies done. I have done about a dozen complete runs, including getting one of the endings. I have work to do, including working up to level 16 threat level with a weapon, with the shield as my weapon of choice, mostly throwing it Captain America-style with lightning or doom as bonus damage and other buffs. I also plan to use it's final Aspect the next time I play and complete a run with it sometime soon. I have a few other trophies that will complete really fast but no exact date on when those will come along. Life is Strange Remastered - So I have taking my time playing this for the third time, and it's purely coincidental that I've played a chapter a month. I've wanted to take this game slowly because I doubt I'll play it again, at least for trophies. I played it best as what the good moral choices were, which made things harder at points but I knew that going in. I also didn't want to just use up the trophies and go to the next one immediately since I knew going in that I'd need backup trophies for playing some of my other games. The last few trophies will come all at once so I will plan the right time to get them, which I am actually expecting I'll need later this month, so that will work out nicely. Slay the Spire - I picked this up when it became free on PS Plus. I love the idea of creating a deck to use and defeat monsters with. I don't like the card and relic RNG that you have to deal with and neither the lack of control of which bosses you take on. I have beat all of the bosses at least once, mostly with the Silent, aka the assassin character. His deck is the one I'm mostly comfortable with, using poison and shivs to do massive damage. I even got the trophy for throwing 10 shivs in one turn (which again took properly setting up). I doubt I'll plat this game though I will definitely try to. I might wait until Hades is finished to fully delve into this game but it's addicting and frustrating at times. Nevertheless I am enjoying the hell out of it. And that's it. I haven't forgotten my other games on my list either but my focus is to finish certain games this coming month. If I don't I'll keep on them until I do. I want to keep certain games on my list to do, even if I haven't touched them this month (or even this challenge). And there are some games I know I'll won't ever touch again sadly. Or, if I do, it is when I get someone who is willing to play with me on a regular basis. Until the end of next moth, I'm signing off in a metaphorical sense.

I wasn't able to post for pretty much the whole of April, but finally I have some time again. Not a whole lot of progress as I've been playing games outside of the challenge mostly, but finally back to playing what's on my list. In my last update I finished Homefront: The Revolution. Since then I helped some more people get the online stuff done as I really enjoyed playing it, and then finally last week I deleted it off my system. Other than that I've played a ton of games that were in my backlog but not eligible for this event. I managed to finish NASCAR Heat 4 (had a lot of trophies glitch on me last year so took a break from it) Caught a ton of fish in Fishing Sim World, Finally finished all the DLC for Modern Warfare 3 after almost 9! years, and joined a weekly boosting session for The Division. I do remember originally having Gran Turismo 7 on my list, but swapped it because of what they did to the game. Now 4 or 5 weeks later it is as good as done, and I only need to wait until 2 more specific cars become available to buy and it will be finished. Which brings me to today. I finally started working on A Plague Tale Innocence again. I haven't finished the story yet but I'm really close. I made the decision to go back into chapter select and grab all the collectibles and other stuff I missed first so that when I finish the story, it should be completed (hopefully by the end of the week). As for Rage, I don't know if I'll finish it, I have a couple of other games I'm also working on and I think I will need about 2 weeks to get into it and finish it. If I do, it will be the first time ever since I started joining these challenges I'll have a completed list. See you guys next time!
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Update 10 - It's been a bit longer than usual since my last proper update, I've been looking after a sick cat which took most of my past week or so up. He is all better now and my wallet is much lighter after some big vet bills. But I did manage to get some gaming in between being a cat nurse and work, making some good progress in both Dark Souls 2 and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Dark Souls 2 Most of my game-time was grinding for 30 Sunlight Medals using the offline method. The RNG on these things is no joke and it took about 5 hours in the end. I did manage to catch up on some podcasts and videos while I did it though, and I had a boat load of souls to level up with once I was done. I'm pretty much done with the main story now and i'm exploring the DLC content which so far has been way better than the game itself. The 50 or so hours i've put into this game have been pretty janky and not a patch on the quality of the first game. I also had a few qualms with the mechanics this time around - I'm still not sure why they invented a whole other stat to dictate how many invincibility frames you get. And I'm not really a fan of giving all of my weapons what amounts to a health bar. The whole experience feels rushed and rough but there are some pretty fantastic moments here and there. It's still an enjoyable game but not what you'd expect from a sequel like Dark Souls. I hear that Dark Souls 3 is way way better so i'll definitely tackle that at some point in the coming months. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga I don't think I was prepared for how massive this game actually is. I finished the first playthrough and I've now gone back through all 9 episodes to get 100% completion on each. Next up is the entire hub worlds content - which means completing pretty much all requirements in all parts of the galaxy on and around all planets. I really enjoyed everything so far, but this is not a game that you can rush through and requires way more time than the Lego games that have come before it. The week ahead: I'd like to have either Lego or DS2 done, or very close to being done by the end of the week. I signed up for the Mental Health event in the background for May so I'll likely add Soma and/or Night in the Woods to my list there and here. Have a lovely week everyone and take care of yourselves Divinity: Original Sin GTA V Beyond: Two Souls Dark Souls Remastered Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Ghostwire: Tokyo Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - 5% > 48% Dark Souls 2 - 10% > 67%

In April, I finished The Last of Us Part II, Heavenly Bodies, as well as the extra game - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Now I have a whole month to add a few more games to the list, which I already started by dusting off the first game in the Dark Pictures Anthology. I've been meaning to play this one with my husband ever since we did Until Dawn together last year. We always do an initial playthrough blind, so it looks like I have to do a minimum of 5 runs to platinum this one. Ouch! Heavenly Bodies Horizon Forbidden West Ratchet & Clank Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order The Last of Us Part II New games added: Beyond a Steel Sky Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan [20%]

Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Top o' the morning to ya... or whatever time it is! Here with my regular update. Well, actually irregular since I was meant to do it yesterday but it got late and I got tired. Anyway... Update: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure [PS4] - 100% Persona 5 Strikers [PS4] - 100% Enslaved: Odyssey to the West [PS3] - 100% Team Sonic Racing [PS4] - 100% The Saboteur [PS3] - 43% -> 92% NEW Falling Skies [PS3] - 0% Almost done with The Saboteur. If I haven't said it before it's a GTA-like game set in WWII. There's nothing better than dressing up as a Kraut, walking in their base, blowing shit up and walking right out. Which is pretty much all I have left to do and smoking/spending contraband. Since it is my last game of my original list and close to finish, I am adding Falling Skies. Yes, just the one. There are a few buggy trophies and I would like to have some safety net just in case. As for the game, it's an XCOM clone (albeit quite easier I hear) based on the TV show with the same name (it was pretty cool but the ending wasn't great/rushed but that's another story) which I used to watch with my sister. So, this week, finishing The Saboteur (I figure I only need a couple of days more) and starting on Falling Skies. Peace!
