This game is so cute (especially the plants) and funny, it made me smile and laugh out loud a lot (can't even remember when the last time was a game did that). Now on to Garden Warfare 2! Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Alpha Plat Rain - Tearaway: Unfolded I was really looking forward to this game Tearaway for the Vita is in my Top 5 favourite Vita games of all time but this game was a letdown. Now let me preface it by saying it is not a bad game...just a letdown. Tearaway worked so well on the Vita as all the Vita's gimmicks lent a lair of immersion to the game. Your fingers popped through the screen to fight enemies, your breath actually blew objects in the game, you could speak into the mic and take pictures with the cameras...but that was lost on the PS4 version. There were some gimmicks but most of it was just "hold R2" or "tap the touchpad". On top of the that the game felt needlessly long and after awhile I just wanted it to end. Once again it wasn't bad...just a letdown So can I recommend Tearaway: Unfolded...yes...but I say get the Vita version instead. Alpha Plat Rain - Beyond: Two Souls That being said I was iffy about playing Beyond: Two Souls again. I was not overly impressed with the first game (save for a few key scenes) and after replaying Heavy Rain again (a game I LOVED the first time through but was disappointed with on replay) I just didn't know. That being said replaying this game was a blast. I guess my hype level was down from the first time and I just enjoyed the story and characters. I still believe that Jodie and Aiden are among my favourite game "couples" and there were parts in this that are really powerful. Both times that Jodie loses Aiden are very emotional as anyone who lost a close friend or family member can tell you. Also Aiden coming back in the ALONE ending is still my favourite part in the game. Yeah it sucks you have to replay the ending a bunch of times (thanks @DamagingRob for trying to spare me a bunch of replays) but I really enjoyed my time coming back to this game. So just 9 games left until I Plat Rain the Alphabet
Popular Post GarciaFever
#193 Resogun (PS4) I would like to give a huge shout out to The Lakota for helping me get the 1CC trophy along with the platinum. Even though we both had severe lag, we managed to pull it off while having 0 lives during the final boss. Anyways, this was actually a fun platinum. Originally I never would have played this game if it weren't for my older brother when he got it for free via PS+. Now all that's left is the grinding for all the DLC (sigh...) Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #79 - Jazzpunk The End, 81.93% Rarity Difficulty - 1/10 , Time Spent - ~3 Hours , Enjoyment 4/10 This game has you playing as a.... robot?... called Polyblank. You go on secret agent-type missions and encounter some pretty weird characters along the way. There's not really much to this game to be honest. There's a lot of different mini-games in the game-- frogger, space invaders, handball, golf, etc-- but nothing is difficult by any means. The objectives of the game are also very easy to figure out. The one point of this game that most people praise is something that went over my head... the references to other forms of media. I think I maybe recognized two video game references and one movie reference, but apparently this game is full of references. Perhaps I would have liked it better if I understood the multitude of nods. There's not much of a soundtrack to speak of, and the graphics kind of suck. The motion control in this game made me feel sick, so instead of just powering through what should have been a short, quick game, I had to take breaks every 20-30 minutes just so I didn't puke (and apparently I'm not the only one either). The motion control is what made me give it a below average rating, otherwise it would have been a 5 for enjoyment. If you feel strongly that you have a lot of knowledge in what is probably 80s/early 90s media, you'll have a much better time with this game than I did. Popular Post KUJORAIDEN
#1 Plat & 100% - Crash Bandicoot Plat difficulty : 3/10 100% difficulty : 7/10 Time : Around 15-20h Surprisingly the plat was really easy for me, I only struggled a bit with The Lab But the 100% was really frustrating because the game's mechanic is bullshit and you'll need a lot of luck in the rolling stones sections of Stormy Ascent The best tip I could give is to jump and use the spin when you reach the ground . This will avoid the frames between jumps which will make things easier

Or I bought it super cheap to see what it was. I absolutely did not do research at the time and hated it. Left it on my backlog forever. But, free time at work, and time crunch for platinum trophies plus backlog cleansing have all led to me playing this dating sim. Now, I don't know anything about visual novels, I just assumed they were interactive stories. I guess I'm wrong, because this was nothing but a dating sim that you manipulate to date the boy that caught your fancy. I eventually just fast forwarded through it because the cringe was near lethal. I don't think I'll play another dating sim. If anyone has an recommendations for visual novels that aren't that, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm literally stuck places sometimes with only a vita to hunt with. Best visual novel for me was Steins; Gate. That story is outstanding! So I would say you should try that one
Popular Post panikooooos
Assassin's Creed Rogue Enjoyment: 5.5/10 Difficulty: 4.5/10 Well, well well..... This was ok. It's your typical Assassin's Creed story but with a twist, the protag here stops believing in the Creed and joins the Templars after they save his life which is kind of unique (even though we've played as a templar before). This game is basically a worse Black Flag but with some unique elements. Before I got this game I was like, wait, sailing on warm Caribbean waters is cool but how will it work in the cold waters of the North Atlantic with icebergs and all ?. Well the answer is: It doesn't. Sailing in the cold waters with a moody weather is simply inferior to Black Flag's tropical climate, being the captain of a crew singing shanties and all just doesn't work in this kind of setting I'm sorry Ubi. The good thing about this game is that it finally stops portraying the Assassins in such a positive light and tries a more morally ambiguous approach which is refreshing especially after all the other games where every single """"bad"""" guy on the planet was a templar (Ubi tells us Capitalism and the free market are templar plots so maybe they shouldn't price their shitty games at 69.99 huh ? #owned) Anyways as I said the story is mediocre apart from the unique element of moral ambiguity, it's the typical AC story so don't expect much, I don't know what else to say trophy list is typical copy paste from other AC as well, collect 200 fragments that whole type of deal, 100% sync, pretty boring stuff. I did like some little details such as landing on an island and finding whole flocks of penguins who swan dive collectively into the water as you approach, but what's the point when I only saw this type of stuff in literally 1 location in the whole game! Like wtf is up with this company man clearly you took the time to create unique stuff for this type of environment why make it so rare? Another 1 of a kind occurrence was crabs. NEVER saw them again. So there's a crab island and a penguin island, ok ? Oh the grenade launcher is cool too ? Now for some bad stuff. Assassin Interceptions, fragments, relics, naval campaign, renovations = all tedious bullshit. Especially renovations holy fuck man you pay precious materials and in return you get a shitty barn which looks slightly less shitty than before. Seriously I don't think there were worse "renovations" in a AC game the buildings looks like shit and maybe even worse than before in some cases. Stalkers I guess would make sense since Assassins are your enemy in this game but it gets tiresome after a while having to press circle in 0.3 miliseconds or die instantly from some guy stabbing your or falling from above. Oh and how could I forget Shay's cringy line "I mAkE mY oWn lUcK" dude shut the fuck up already. Every time someone tells you good luck in this game this little idiot will make sure to correct the guy and tell him his shitty fucking motto. Seriously I think at one point he says it twice in the same conversation, just shut the fuck up you're not as clever as you are with this shitty zinger ok Ubi writers? To sum up buy the game don't buy it I don't care, probably buy it if you want the lore and since it's the last AC game that's actually not terrible, and as always thanks for reading this my queen ? ?

Popular Post Masamune
Valkyria Revolution Grand Cordon of the Azure Wolf Obtained all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Playtime: 46:17:13 (1 week, 2 days, 23 hours) Screenshot: Spoiler This game gets a lot of hate for some reason, yeah it's vastly different from Chronicles (it is considered a spin-off), but it's still a fun game. Instead of the more strategic gun-based gameplay of Chronicles, this is more of an action-based game with swords & magic. My biggest complaints of the game would probably be the length of some of the cut-scenes in it (I know a couple had to be close to 30 minutes), I didn't even watch any of the fragment chapters because I just didn't have to energy for it by then. ? A lot of the battles are pretty short too, most can be done in a few minutes (hell, one I finished in 4 seconds), some of the bigger ones can reach 10+, but not many. The difficulty is really easy (I was playing on easy, but I wasn't expecting it to be like that), there were only 2, maybe 3 boss fights where my allies even died (apparently there is a permadeath feature in this game, but I never left then down long enough to find out). Every other fight I just charged right into the enemy & started slashing them to bits (or nuking them with AoE spells). Trophies are easy too, there is some grinding needed at the end for 100 free missions, & Ragnite/kr farming (that probably took up about half my playtime). The kr farming is the longest, you need over 300K kr to upgrade all your weapons, but there's a story mission you can quickly farm in under a minute for that (my record was 37 seconds). Also if you're ever planning on playing this, I'd highly recommend unlocking the secret ending for it, I don't think it has a connection to any trophy, but it makes the ending a lot better. It's not hard to do so either, you just need to use each character in your party at least 20 times (it can even be unlocked in post-game), considering you'll probably be doing 200 or more battles throughout the game, you'll have plenty of chances to do so.

They are essentially the same game, but each volume focuses more on three specific members of the group. There are a few songs exclusive to each version but that's about it when it comes to differences. Maybe a few different scenes but I wouldn't know since it's all in Japanese obviously. I just recently became a fan of Love Live! myself by watching the anime, and I already love rhythm games, so this was the perfect combination for me. I had a lot of fun with these - it was great to be able to experience the group's amazing songs in a different way.

Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #300: Difficulty 3.5/10 Playtime: 37:32 Enjoyment: 7/10 Life's funny. I was originally planning to make KH3 my 300th platinum (mostly for lack of anything else) but had to bin that idea after they announced DLC which heavily triggered my obsessive compulsive fears (don't ask). Then, randomly, fate stepped in and an HK stack for the game appeared as if by magic. This allowed me to not only achieve my 300th platinum goal, but also get over my reticence to go through the trouble of making Asian region accounts. Now I can finally begin to accrue the 14-15 games whose Japanese/Hong Kong stacks I'd like to have. As for the playthrough... just like the first time with KH3 it was... fun enough. I won't embark on a lengthy rant here but there are so many things I wish they had done differently. Anyways, the language barrier didn't prove to be much of a problem, even if I made the occasional goof with menu selections. The materials and stuff proved to be a bit of a problem, with trial/error, guesswork, and extrapolation aplenty--probably dragged out my playthrough by two-three hours, but I got there. Having now played my least favourite console Kingdom Hearts twice in the span of less than a year, I know I won't be picking it up again for a loooooong while. It certainly won't be joining KH/KH2/KHBBS as a game I replay religiously every year.

Popular Post Redgrave
#154: Came back haunted - World War Z Talk about a grind ? But before getting into that, it's kind of like a Left 4 Dead copy but it feels like they didn't really learn everything from that game. Such as when you need to prepare defenses, you don't really get a chance to really prepare because there are zombies attacking you anyway. This isn't a big deal on the lower difficulties but on Hard and Insane it got annoying because you barely got a chance to really set up defenses. There's also an AI Director that's supposed to be kind of like Left 4 Dead's but it would fluctuate between mostly balanced to just deciding to make everything go wrong at the worst possible time. Maybe that was the point, but on higher difficulties it just felt unfair a lot of the time. Overall I still had some fun with it despite that and the janky-ness of it. The grind was a real pain though. It just felt like they really, really wanted you to keep playing it despite there not being too much content from buying all the perks (including multiplayer that felt tacked on) and level 5 weapons to completing 100 PvE games. I guess they are going to add more content to it later down the road and I hope they do improve on it since there's a good foundation for the game and I can even forgive the jank as long as they make new levels and whatever else that keeps the game going. And of course I want to thank @Undead Wolf for playing it with me. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#276 - World War Z Came back haunted Earn all other trophies This is a game that takes a lot of "inspiration" from Left 4 Dead, but it doesn't manage to capture what made those games so special. It's a bit janky and feels quite unpolished in many areas, but even despite all this, it's a very enjoyable co-op game at its core. With some more work from the developers, it could become something great. As I'm typing this, the game is still wildly unbalanced in both PvE and PvP, with certain perks/weapons being far better than others. On the harder difficulties, only the Medic and Fixer classes actually seem viable. There are also some chapters way harder than others. When attempting the trophy for beating the game on the hardest difficulty, there were a couple of instances where I'd be stuck on a chapter for days, and upon finally beating it, I would breeze through subsequent chapters like they were nothing. Playing on that difficulty also made some of the game's flaws more apparent such as the "prepare defences" segments chucking zombies at you making it incredibly difficult or even impossible to do that in the amount of time you're given. It just felt unfair when that would happen. The PvP mode just felt unnecessary and tacked on. There's only like 4 maps, so it starts to feel repetitive very quickly, and that's not good when you're forced to play it so much to level up all of the PvP exclusive classes. It was annoying how you're not really rewarded for playing well. All that matters is if your team won or lost, so even if you do all the work and carried the team, you're given just as much as the guy who's away from their controller (which happens a lot). I had some fun with it, but I think a mode where one team plays as the special infected and the other as a group of survivors trying to reach the goal would have been much more enjoyable. I'm not sure how much time exactly I spent with the game, but it was certainly over 100 hours. It's a very grindy platinum, especially when you consider the amount of content currently available for it. Playing with @Redgrave made this much more bearable. I needed someone to blame when something went wrong after all.
Popular Post tanonero
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 I felt like I wanted a challenge, so I started this game. At first I got a tough one, especially when I approached the time trial in Crash Cove as a beginner. However, the game forces you to get decent so once I got the hang of it the time trials became easier and easier. The epitome was beating the infamous Dragon Mines in a bunch of tries. I hope more PS1 remakes will come our way.

Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
# 26 - World of Final Fantasy Difficulty - 2/10 Enjoyment - 6/10 I tried writing the post for this game when I got the plat originally, but after like 10 minutes of typing I accidentally went back a page on my browser and it deleted everything I wrote. Let's suffice it to say that this game is fun, pretty mindless, not a terrible grind, superbly easy, recommendable if you like the sound of Final Fantasy x Pokemon. # 27 - Assault Suit Leynos Difficulty - 7/10 Enjoyment - 4/10 I like to think that when I'm giving consideration to a game's difficulty and enjoyment ratings, that it's a balance between the game itself and the platinum effort since for me they're one and the same. Well let me distinguish between both parts for ASL: without the inclusion of the platinum effort, the game's difficulty would be maybe a 4/10, and my enjoyment would be maybe a 6/10. This is one of those games that, if you don't care about getting the platinum then I'd recommend not bothering. This list is comprised mostly of stupid, obnoxious trophies. I was going to make a guide for the game but it's just too much of a pain despite my real-time 100% being around 9 hours of in-game time. By far the worst trophy of all is Old Tricks - 3 full hours of my 9 hour platinum run was dedicated to this single trophy. You can go and watch a video of it being done in only a few minutes, and in a successful attempt that is how long it takes, but how simply it's done in a video belies how random and RNG-related the doing of this really is. You effectively have to kill only the boss in Stage 1 on Classic Mode, but different enemies spawn randomly and are seemingly designed to negate this trophy, because if they kill each other (and they do, constantly), you get the points for it and you have to start the stage over again. You have to be absolutely flawless at this one particular thing, and it demands such a buy-in of skill which no other point in the game demands that it makes the entire trophy list completely imbalanced. Without this one trophy the difficulty would be a 5/10, which may not seem like much of a jump but I consider the difference between a 5 & 7 to not be unsubstantial. The game is good, if you like side-scrolling games like this. The majority of the trophies come from Arcade Mode, which is easier in every way except for some reason the final boss, to whom they've added an extra phase from Classic Mode, which is just how the original game was released complete with a step up in difficulty. But again, a small handful of the 35 trophies in total, including a few which are honestly a little buggy, diminished my enjoyment of this game to below average. As someone who gives ratings without inflation-bias, which is to say that a 5/10 isn't bad and is instead perfectly average for my relative perspective, 4/10 isn't horrible, but it's disappointing that the trophy list works against the game big time here. Popular Post Lum
#58: Chronicle Saviours Earn all Trophies in DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours. Great work! The last screen-scrolling shmups I remembered playing were Dragon Spirit, 1942, Silver Surfer (still surprised that I even completed this one) and Xexyz (that is also a platformer) on the NES back in the late 80s/early 90s, as well as the Galaga arcade machine, so this wasn't my first rodeo when it comes to the shmup genre. However, I've only just recently heard of and became interested in Dariusburst, and this one originated back in 2009. Admittedly, the trophy hunter in me became enticed with the very low plat rarity, the very low amount of achievers and its known challenges, so that's what made me decide to actually go for this one. Come to find out, this game pretty is bad ass and felt very pleased with my experience with it, and part of that is probably because I haven't played that many shmups, as well as not having played one for a very long while, so it kinda gives off a "fresh" feel and something different at the moment that helped made it fun, especially when the enemies are in a form of mechanical airborne....sea creatures. While the gameplay isn't complex at all (just dodge and shoot essentially, with some countering here and there), it puts these simple mechanics through the ultimate test (and even more difficult due to a really challenging trophy list) due to the ridiculous amounts of flying projectiles you normally see in old school shmups. Since it's a shmup and they tend to have an old school vibe, don't expect much in the way of graphics and story, in which these elements are hardly the focus. As fun as this game was, it did turn out to be a bit of a drag towards the middle of the CS missions because of how lengthy it was to finish (about 220 stages including warning and alternative routes), and the recycling of many of the stages and bosses made it quite repetitive. Perhaps more variety of stages, more variety of bosses, combined with less stages in general could have helped made this experience more fun or tolerable. While shmups tend to be a more obscure genre, Dariusburst is one game that I would love to help emerge from the shadows and recommend to anyone interested in something different (although not new) other than many of the newer and common genres/types (FPS/3rd person open world/etc.) you see today. If you also revel in challenges, or someone who is more hardcore on the trophy hunting side, Dariusburst is your game. But beware of the hefty price tag for the non-JP version on the PS4 that is $59.99 USD...and it's only available in digital at that!!! Although a PS Vita physical version is available and can be found around the same price, or even cheaper if you go on eBay. The game's hardest trophy is Bird of Legend, where it requires anywhere from 12-15 min. of perfection, depending on how fast you are with the bosses. It requires you to not get hit at all, while facing all the madness you'll see in the 3 zones required (Q, U and Z), including a really crazy boss called Heavy Gluttons that will put your reflexes to the test. Fortunately, there are videos/guides available outside of this site that you can follow, or even help formulate your own strategies for certain parts. Like with any other game that contains difficult trophies, the 3 P's (practice, persistence and patience) will get you there. Also, if you are really unsure if you want to go for the platinum in this game, the good news is that you can try and go for the Bird of Legend as your first trophy, helping you decide whether you want to pursue this game more or not, that is if an alt account isn't one of your options already.
