Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#35 Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 An end to the Trilogy. An enjoyable trilogy it was. But I have had enough Spyro for the time being. I am a bit mixed on the levels with the different playable characters. I did really enjoy the Sparx levels though. Overall a great and relaxing experience and something short between longer stresfull games. Spyro 2 was my favourite but every single game had some great moments. Oh and the plat image like all Spyro games is awesome! Other developers should take note
Popular Post OctorokHero
Recently got my 16th Platinum and 1000th trophy overall with Persona 5 Royal. The original Persona 5 was already one of my favorite games of all time, so I wanted to hit the milestone with a Platinum that would mean a lot to me. I managed to get it right before midnight, which is very fitting. Somehow they made a fantastic game even better.

Popular Post W33DM4CH1NE
#97 Shadow of the Colossus Actually I played the game for the first time. Can´t believe I missed this game ? I think the game is not that hard(I would give it a 4/10 ), but I must admit, its very rage inciting... when it comes to the Time Trials or some stupid ass colossus hitboxes. But other than that, I don´t really had any problems. Enjoyment for me is an 8/10.
Popular Post Redgrave
- #181: All Trophies - Sakura Wars I didn't know what to expect with this other than it was a game about mechs which is something that can catch my attention easily But what I got was a game with waifus in mechs (one of them being a ninja mech in fact) that can bullet-time if you dodge at the right time along with there being dialogue choices for a story about a group of people managing a theater in a steampunk setting. So having all that in brought together a great setting and a game I highly recommend. But from my understanding it's a spin-off or at least related to an anime series of the same name, so I may have to check it out some time. Platinum-wise it's not hard though I struggled with getting five Team Attacks with one specific character which was frustrating but I found a solution that worked. Beyond that it's just a matter of making sure you get the collectibles, saving before making a crucial choice in Chapter 7 so you can get all the endings, and then playing Koi-Koi which if you've played Yakuza or another other game featuring it, you shouldn't have too much of a struggle with it though it's still an RNG kind of minigame but nothing really difficult. Apart from the one trophy I enjoyed my time with the game, especially the interactions with the girls in it since they were all nice in their own way. So if you like mechs and romance (Which sounds like a book title ) then I can't recommend this enough.

Popular Post Eramir
Platinum #82: God of War (2018) Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I can't believe I have waited so long to play this game. This is simply a masterpiece. The story is so good, I was hooked the moment I started it. I have never played the previous games, so I watched a 'Story so far' on YouTube. In my opinion this is necessary to understand the mindset of Kratos. The battles were epic, the combat is good. The cleanup is were the game lost the point on enjoyment. Doing all the ravens and doing trials were a bit of a chore. Luckily this game does a fine job of tracking, so you won't wander to much. If you haven't played it, do it now. It is really good! After finishing I felt hollow and didn't know what tot play, because no game will be this good for a while.. Next up: Lara Croft GO. A simple game which is easy to play during my work.
Popular Post sh4d0wzcs
#108 Assassins Creed Rogue Remastered Got this game on the PS3 when Black Flag came out and completely forgot about it, surprisingly it was a damn good game. Playing as the Templar was actually pretty good for a change, and broadened my perspective that not all Templars arethat bad, most just take it way too far, just like the Assassins have taken some things way too far. I'd recommend this game for a different perspective on the AC series. #109 Need for Speed Heat I am not a big racing fan at all and tbh I think heat might've changed that. The last nfs game I played was nfs 3 hot pursuit in 1998, and what a big upgrade it has been. The story? Short and lackluster. The game play? Really enjoyable, the cars felt right and the world was just absolutely fucking gorgeous. The car modification was pretty good too even though I had no idea what I was doing until I started watching YouTube videos on builds. The collectables and activities was actually fun to do, there were a few speed traps and ramps that were a pain in the ass but after a few dozen tried I eventually got them. Soundtrack? There was about 5 or 6 songs you'd hear all the time with no option to even turn them up to actually hear them over the engine, so kinda sad that I found myself having to turn the game sound down just to run music from youtube and spotify in the background. I'd recommend this game to play if your just looking for a decent racing game with plenty of eye candy.

Popular Post Dauersack
Uncharted 4 #49: One Last Time This is it, the often praised UC4. I played through the remastered trilogy for this game and had a hell of a bad time doing it at times thanks to the Brutal difficulty mode. Was it worth it? Well yes and no, the game is good overall but I would not call it a great game, it has plenty of ups but also plenty of downs that can really sour the experience at times. They somehow made gameplay worse than in the first 3 games, which is a shame given that the game looks amazing and is polished in most areas when compared to UC1-3. The level design is good in the early chapters, but in the later ones its chock full with cheap encounters, atrocious checkpoints, heavy enemy spam and other problems. The game having too much climbing compared to shooting should be a down for me, since climbing is pretty boring, but I count it as an up because it meant less encounters overall. The characters are improved, Sam is a decent addition and makes up for Elena turning into an insufferable pain in the ass. The antagonists are pretty bland, but thats nothing new for this series. Story is good for most of it, it even spares us the usual supernatural shit at the end, there are some big logic errors but you gotta suspend your disbelief somewhat I guess. The last bossfight was complete garbage as per usual, Naughty Dog seems completely incapable to do a boss fight that does not suck ass, but this one is probably the worst, how exactly they managed to fuck up a lazy CTE boss fight is beyond me, but whoever is in charge of boss design in that studio should seek some therapy, because there isn't a healthy brain that should be able to mess up this much. Multiplayer is still on my to do list, insane grind coming up to reach lvl 50 and get weapon upgrades so the nasty survival maps can be attempted, not looking forward to it but i knew what I signed up for. Surprised not many people complain about the microtransactions, lootbox and pay2win bullshit going on in this multiplayer. Multiplayer somehow is not nearly as fun as TLOU multiplayer was years ago, though I haven't played every mode and joined this mp pretty late, so maybe others had a better time with it. Overall still a good game with absolutely stunning visuals and some of the best facial animations and landscapes I have seen in any game, but the gameplay is a down, watching a let's play for the entire series could have saved me many headaches. Save to say I will avoid the spin offs, especially Lost Legacy because it focuses on 2 characters I do not care much about, and I had more than my share of Uncharted for one lifetime. Ups: +++++ Amazing graphics +++ Good story for the most part +++ Nathan gets closure ++ Good humor ++ Puzzles are improved a lot ++ Decent weapon variety + Nostalgia and Easter eggs en masse + Some creative trophy requirements Downs: ---------- Multiplayer infested with EA+Ubisoft disease, microtransactions, lootboxes, overpriced currency bullshit ----- Worst bossfight I have ever played, truly ended the story on a whimper in terms of gameplay ----- No Doughnut Drake in the game because Neil Cuckmann was not "comfortable" having something in this game that was in all past games, mild sjw garbage on top but generally tolerable ----- Gameplay is a step down from previous games, especially with the aiming and the horribly broken melee in this game, hitting enemies that are close can be a massive pain --- Trophies being buggy is unacceptable in such a big release --- Downright useless companions on higher difficulties --- Some encounters feel like they are intentionally designed to make your life as miserable as possible on higher difficulty settings, though not as bad as Brutal in past games -- Some pacing issues -- Antagonists have terrible logic, protagonists aren't much better -- So many collectibles that it reaches annoying levels - companions screeching "Naaaate" every time you die is even more annoying than the death music from past games The graphics make this worth buying for cheap even if you are not all that much into the story, the characters or the gameplay, and you do not need to play past games because even though it can be nice to get some of the references, it is not that big of a game changer so its fine to start with UC4. Completionists should be warned though, the multiplayer grind is very long and promises to be frustrating in various ways, and obviously the first 3 games should be on any completionists avoid list. This being my 49 platinum means the next one is going to be big. Edited May 14, 2020 by Nighcisama
Popular Post dermarx
#125 Final Fantasy VII Remake Enjoyment 10/10 Difficulty 5/10 A little bit late but I also wanted to comment a little bit on FF7: I didn't own a PS One back in the games so the story was new for me, and I enjoyed it very much. I know it was only a part of the original story and I know we get a second (and maybe third) part ASAP Graphics are also great. And they even made a really good german translation which is rare imo. Soundtrack is also awesome. I first heared about a FF7 Remake 4 years or so ago and it was woth the wait. One of the best games I have every played so I wanted to make this one a milestone for me. Popular Post Kristycism
So, I got a few plats the last month or so and never posted my thoughts on any of them, so here goes (thoughts in spoilers because I don't want to stretch the page too much): #134 - Nights of Azure Time to Plat: ~30h Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 4 Spoiler I picked this one up after someone spoke highly of it on the PSNP Discord, and I have to say, whoever you were - thank you! I had a great time with this game! When I first started up this game, I thought I'd made a mistake after seeing the rather off-putting breast-physics and thought "okay, it's one of those games", but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did! The story tries to be all dark and mysterious but is fairly predictable if you've played a few JRPGs and doesn't really do anything unique. That said, it's not a bad story, especially since the main game is fairly short, it's just...fine. However, it is nice to see the way the relationship between Arnice and Lilysse develops through the game. And the supporting cast are decent enough (well, they're slightly annoying, but the interactions with them can be amusing at times) and learning more about them as the game progresses keeps things interesting. The gameplay is where the game is a lot more fun though. It's a Musuo style game but also lets you strategise with your familars, both in terms of which ones to use and when to use their special moves. It's not difficult at all (actually, almost all of it is very easy) but it's fun to try and keep full combos going for a level by timing special moves. And if you're having a bad day, because it's easy enough you can just mindlessly mash buttons and kill most things anyway as long as you have a healing familiar with you. The Platinum itself is not bad for the most part, and almost all of it just involves completing the main and side content the game has to offer. The one exception is those 300 stupid quests. They're easy enough, but 300 is way too many. I did them regularly as I played through the game and was still ages away from the 100 quests trophy, never mind the 300. There is absolutely no reason (besides the trophy) that anyone would ever do that many as the rewards are pointless (I had max blood and gold long before I finished, with nothing worthwhile to spend it on). And to make matters worse, there isn't even a tracker to let you see how close you are. Blegh. I hate pointless grindy trophies like that. #135 - Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Time to plat: ~25h Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 7/10 (because of one particular level) 2 Spoiler I platted this game a month ago, and I still can't decide how I feel about it, and whether or not I enjoyed the overall experience On the one hand, I loved Pac-Man as a little girl and used to play it when I went to visit my gran, though I really sucked at it at the time. So there was a nice nostalgia feeling about playing Pac-Man now (although the game is way different from the one I played as a kid, especially in regards to the ghosts). And for the most part, I do like what they did with the game - the Score Attacks are obviously what you want out of the game, since it's all about getting high scores, but even what they did with Adventure Mode worked quite well. But on the other hand, there's Adventure level 6-4. Anyone who has the plat knows the pain of this one level. It's the level that made me turn from "after I finish the Plat, I'm gonna go for lots of high scores" to "after the Plat, I'm deleting this from my harddrive so fast". It's just...frustrating. Actually, quite a lot of the World 6 Adventure levels are quite frustrating and made me grow to hate the game, but that one level was the worst. Getting the Platinum was equal parts luck and skill I think. With practice, you get better at catching the ghosts fast (which is the main determining factor on whether or not you'll make the required score), but even still they can sometimes to unexpected things and you end up just aimlessly chasing them around the map and lose a lot of time. Then other times you happen to have them all come at you right after you finish eating the previous one so you cut a lot off your final time. It's certainly doable though for anyone who tries for it, it just needs practice, patience and luck on the right run. #136 - Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov's Revenge Time to plat: ~15h Enjoyment: 4/10 Difficulty: 4/10 3 Spoiler So, I only played this game because I'm taking part in the ABC of Unstarted Games event on-site and needed a game for the letter Z. Saw this on PSNow and thought "I'm sure I can do that". Well, overall, it was an easy enough Platinum anyway. I can't say I particularly enjoyed the game, but then I didn't really play it for enjoyment and only really for the "Z" Platinum But it wasn't that bad either. It's a weird tower-defence style game, though the objective is to take over all the buildings in the map with your army of zombies. My main problem that took away the enjoyment is the poor PS3 controls since the game is obviously intended for PC. For the most part it's fine, but the bad controls become really apparent in the stealth level (why is there a stealth level in this game anyway!?) and the final boss, which I kept messing up due to the controls more than anything as it's actually a very easy boss when the controls work out how you intend (though, I don't know why there's such a boss in a tower defence game, it makes no sense). Of course, playing on PSNow with a bad internet connection didn't help either - my controller would often drift past where I wanted it to stop and wouldn't sense any inputs. Which was great fun on a boss fight that requires precise movements and semi-quick reactions. But ah well, it's done now. I probably would have enjoyed the game somewhat on PC as I wouldn't have had either of those issues, but it is what it is. There's a couple of online trophies but they're fast and easy to boost with an alt/partner since you can just have the "opponent" quit the match right away for most matches once you have the other PvP trophies taken care of. #137 - Shadow of the Tomb Raider Time to plat: ~30h Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 4/10 2 Spoiler I went in to this game with my expectations fairly low, as I'd read a lot about how bad it was compared to the other games in the trilogy. Maybe it was because my expectations were low but I really, really enjoyed the game. And didn't see how it was any worse than Rise. The story starts off in a bad way which seems out of character from Lara, but you can kind of get why she does what she does. From there though, you see her grow as a person through the story. The other part of the main story within Paititi kind of gets glossed over through the story itself (though there is a lot of information in the Documents you collect) which is a shame as that could have been really interesting. But the main villain, who you except to be this super evil dude given everything you learned in Rise, was actually...decent. At least, you can sympathise with his plight even if you don't agree with his methods. But what I enjoyed was the exploration and the tombs. I played with the DLC installed from the get-go though, which probably helps, as the Challenge Tombs might have been too sparse (and too easy) without it. They're 90% of the reason I play these games, so having the base game and 7 more DLC tombs as I went through the game was good fun for me and I enjoyed my time with the game as a result. The hardest difficulty would have likely made everything frustrating if I'd done it from the get-go (which I considered, but the trophy guide insisted that it was better to do two so I did, which was definitely the right choice), but doing it on NG+ was alright as you have all the upgrades from a first playthrough to make the journey significantly easier. There were a couple of moments which were a bit frustrating, but it would have been worse to do it without the upgrades and to try and do all the challenge tombs and crypts with no markings and no checkpoints... #138 - Steins;Gate Time to plat: ~20h Enjoyment: 9/10 4 Spoiler This is my first proper visual novel and boy what an amazing experience it was! Definitely going to look into more highly rated ones now since I enjoyed this one so much. When I first started it, I actually thought "ugh no, I don't like this" as the main character was really irritating at the start (and I didn't like any of the other characters in the beginning) and the story just seemed odd. But after Chapter 2, I was hooked, and kept staying up really late after my usual bedtime because I wanted to know what happened next. The main character also tones down a lot the further into the story you go, and you get to understand why he is the way he is. So at the end I actually really liked him (and the other characters that I didn't like so much at the beginning). The further it went, the more emotionally invested I got in the characters and the story, and I actually full on sobbed at Mayuri and Kurisu's respective endings ? I don't really want to say more about the game as anything I do say will likely be spoilers. All I'll say is that I'd highly recommend giving this a go and NOT skipping the dialogue (unless you're repeating things on subsequent playthroughs, then that's fine, I did that too for dialogue where I already knew the full contents). And if anyone has recommendations for VNs I can enjoy in the future, please PM them to me! I'm thinking Punch Line next as I've heard it's actually heartwarming despite the bizarre (and hilarious) setting.
Popular Post GoldenShaka
118 THE ORDER 1886 THE GRAIL When you play this game, it's absolutely noticeable that it was a showcase for the ps4. Great graphics, an apparently epic story (I mean, it was good, but not really memorable) Decent soundtrack, interesting characters. Being so heavily narrative I expected they let players skip cutscenes after finishing the campaign. Luckily I got more than 90% of the trophies while I was playing the campaign otherwise I would be annoyed while getting miscellaneous ones. See you, happy hunting. One of the few PS3/PS4 Marvel games that's not a Lego game that let's you play as She-Hulk and Scarlet Witch. Too bad the DLC is delisted so I can't 100% this game. #172 Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi 14th May 2020 One of three games based on Dragon Ball that has Anime cutscenes and also have a custom character(Only Male Sayians but is fully voiced) unlike the Xenoverse series the Anime cutscenes is based on the original story. Took me years to finally clear those Big Bosses but once I cleared Great Ape Vegeta and Golden Great Ape Baby this year the next Big Bosses in Hero mode and Story mode were easy(Meta Cooler Core took some tries but not as many tries as the Great Ape Vegetas did!). Spoiler P.S for those that don't know Dragon Ball GT, Golden Great Ape Baby is Baby in Vegeta's body that turned Great Ape or Golden Great Ape as it's called then a Super Sayian user goes Great Ape if they still have a Tail.

Popular Post ZoutjeNL
#36 NieR: Automata Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 As someone who has never played Nier this was a brand new experience for me. I bought it a few months ago during one of the sales without really knowing if I would like this game or not. I heard so many great things about Nier Automata that I just wanted to see it for myself. Lately I have been loving more and more of games from the Japanese market, so I tought why not? The first few hours I had no clue what the game was about... the different game genres, the weird story... but after 5 hours or so it really grabbed my attention from that point to the end of the game. I couldn't stop playing. The Story is definitely a highlight of the game. It is unique and told in an emotional way. Multiple playthroughs are a neccessity to get the whole picture. During my first playthrough as the completionist that I am... I went and did all the side quests that were available, there were some amazing quests that added depth to the story. The combat was pretty fun too. I read complaints online that the combat isn't fun but for me personally it was. I prefer the lighter weapons for fast attacks and with the assistance of the pods it is a nice mix of face to face and ranged combat. The music is just wonderfull it has been said many times but the diversity of the tracks really makes a great tracklist. I must agree with the critics and the praise here. This game is amazing. The story, the different gameplay elements, the music. Definitely can recommend if you are open minded for a different experience.
Popular Post Zach
#165 The Forest Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 55-60hrs The Forest is basically realistic Minecraft. Your main goal is to survive, build, and work your way to finding your son by exploring all the caves for clues. I did my first playtrough with my coop friend, then I did clean up on creative mode. You have to beat the game once on normal mode to unlock creative mode. To be honest, coop is what makes this game bearable. Nothing is difficult in this game. The only thing that sucks is some trophies have to done in one sitting. The Crafty and Trophy Hunter trophies are some examples. It's an okay game overall, but nothing special.

They really did a very good job crafting this game for the new generation. I just love everything about this game, the art style, the music, the combat... everything! On the contrary to what the title of the platinum is, my work with this game is not done and I will still be playing this game for years to come, trying to improve my scores and getting S in all difficulties. Here's hoping they would release DLC soon, I'll buy it in a heart beat! As for the platinum itself, getting S in all stages in Hard mode is what makes the plat difficult but with persistence, practice, and a bit of luck, you'll get the trophy eventually. Highly recommended! Edited May 15, 2020 by milanbarca82
