Popular Post PraiseTheFluppi
#66 - DarkwoodDifficulty: 5/10Time: ~30 hoursEnjoyment: 8/10 A top-down horror game with elements of survival/crafting and a unique visual field mechanic. This game was incredible. The atmosphere is what makes it so damn good! The way the developers tried to recreate the field of vision is especially well done and helps make the game a scary and unnerving experience. You never feel safe, there's always something new happening and the constant dread of what else worse lurks in the woods makes it even better. The grotesque and bizarre way to portray the npc's makes you uncertain if you want to trust and help them, or get rid of them before something bad happens. But actions have consequences! The game has some randomness to it as well. When you start a new game, the layout of the map changes and landmarks are on different places than before - a good way to increase the replay value. Without a doubt, one of the best horror games I've ever played! ✌️ Edited July 12, 2021 by PraiseTheFluppi

Popular Post Pieroluc
Platinum #29: Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020 Difficulty: 4-5/10Time: 12-15 hoursFun: 9/10Notes: Very fun game, especially it is a great multiplayer game, played a few hours casually with my dad who practically never games, but it just is something anyone can pick up and play. Sadly the game can feel very buggy and laggy, not sure if it is due to the fact I streamed it with PS Now, but that gave some modes almost an extra challenge occasionally. Luckily the trophies are not very complex or anything, getting 10 gold medals was a bit of a sweat, managed it though on the normal difficulty or whatever the lowest is called with the Judo discipline in 13-15 attempts. Popular Post Ghost
A thrill to play a new Ratchet & Clank game. I loved every minute of it. I just wish they added more features like space combat (from A Crack In Time), and hoverboard racing (from Ratchet & Clank 2016). Different bosses with their own likeness would have been cool from Emperor Nefarious dimension, but other than that, it was a game I didn't want to end and it was hard to put down. Amazing work from Insomniac Games and exciting to see what they will do with the next Spider-Man game. Popular Post Hoopdahoopla
#69 - Crash Bandicoot (100%) Platinum + Lost Treasures DLC After years of putting this off, I finally started this game. This was tough, real tough. The game itself was fun to play and really brought back some memories, the time trials however were a pain and brought back some nightmares. As a kid I could barely manage to get Blue on the relics, now I needed gold as a minimum. At times I wanted to just count my losses, High Road, Road to Nowhere and finally... Stormy Ascent. These three levels took me several hours each to get the relic. I never normally cheer out loud, but once I finished Stormy Ascent and snagged the last trophy, I yelled, probably scared the crap out of the neighbours too. Apparently this is the hardest of the N-Sane Trilogy, might have to have a break before I tackle number 2 and 3. Battle mode the max and impossible took me a couple tries or so to beat but after those 2 were done I got through the rest in one try, my go to character was gundy strat for the hard battles . Star labs gave me some trouble only about a hand full of them. If you're trying to go for this plat just keep at it and you'll eventually clear it going to nab the other injustice plats at some point now.
Lordguwa
platinum #525 Need For Speed Shift completed in 1 week and 22 hours platinum rarity: 5.44% very rare for anyone thinking about this plat. i highly suggest to start the online before it shuts down. if can get 2 or 3 of the online trophy's it'll ease the difficulty of the plat a good deal as you won't need to worry about the star collecting. challenge or european corners. next plat i'm thinking about is titanfall 2 (ps4) sleep comes first so this gets downloaded tonight. also while playing titanfall need to look out for empty server space for the run. need 2 solid races with Mud and NFS alfa romeo to unlock the remainder of the 5 challenges. Popular Post TheQuisling
⭐⭐ Pure Pool (PS4) ⭐⭐ Pure Trophy | 0.25% | Win all the Pure Pool trophies ULTRA RARE Time Completed: 1 month, 22 hours (#1 'Fastest Achiever') Difficulty For Me: 11 / 10 Controllers Destroyed: 14(!!!!!!!!) Enjoyment: 'So you're saying they don't miss? EVER? But why? F*** OUTTA HERE!' / 10 Summary: So here it is. The pinnacle of what i have managed to achieve on a video game thus far. Forget the but the 100% completion of Pure Pool. A little context? I am severely sight impaired. It is a disability that makes video games extremely problematic for me (to say the VERY least.) Some more than others are outright impossible due to colour schemes and/or range of motion etc. Everything takes a lot longer (including this!) The issue remains that i am a perfectionist/completionist so simply playing games with an impairment does not suffice. I find what i am the absolute worst and/or incapable at playing and relentlessly try to overcome it (often VR!) This usually results in nothing short of an unmitigated disaster and torturous pursuit of something i am not 'supposed' to be capable of. SUCH IS LIFE. After managing to finally complete 'I Am Bread' (HERE) i was feeling ever more confident and wanted to tackle something rarer and that which few would even attempt, let alone finish. Cue (no pun intended) Pure Pool. This is from the British developers VooFoo Studios whom produced Hustle Kings which was fairly decent in itself. From the gameplay i watched there had been marked improvements made to the ball physics and overall realism (compared with the aforementioned) so i was encouraged. Not obscure. No game breaking glitches. No obligatory online 'grind'. Supposedly near impossible on the highest difficulty. Yet SLOW. No shot clock. Entirely skill based. 0.25% rarity and 0.03 completion? Sign me up. BIG MISTAKE. Pure Pool is skill based alright. Really, REALLY ability centric. It consists of 3 main gameplay modes. 8 ball pool. 9 ball pool. Snooker (DLC added later on.) All of which have corresponding career/challenge modes to complete with the necessary trophies for doing so on the 'supposed' easy/medium/hard (amateur/pro/master) difficulties. It was halfway through my initial easy/amateur 8 ball career run that i knew we weren't in Kansas anymore Toto and FULLY recognized why this 0.03% total completion was below Crypt of the NecroDancer's 0.04% rarity and would be the most horrific video game undertaking i had ever attempted. All of this is made even worse by nonsensical shenanigans i cannot come close to comprehending. Namely: One fixed, inexplicable and almost discriminatory camera angle whereby if you are tight on a cushion you are unable to even SEE the other end of the table??? If one backs away from the table, it removes all shot directional 'lines'. Hustle Kings had this. Why remove it? The AI has no shot clock either and there is a bug/glitch whereby it is the AI's turn to play and it doesn't. Never takes the shot. Match progress = LOST! What is imperative to understand about PurePool is that when you increase the difficulty to Pro and then Master, it will automatically remove your directional 'lines' that help plan and execute your shots. Once you reach Master rank, there are ZERO directional guides. You are entirely on your own against an AI that does not miss. EVER. For any reason. You must not just defeat the AI but in two separate matches (during Master career) you must do so in a best of 5 and then a best of 7 game finale. Not one mistake. Absolute perfection in at least 4 winning frames with a single fixed camera angle, no ability to see where your shot or cue ball (white) will go and against a near perfect opponent whom you will have to sit and watch SLOWLY clear the table hundreds and hundreds of times. Bliss?! Now i had read and been mentally preparing myself for the Master 8-Ball career ever since i decided to take on the challenge and naturally assumed it was the #1 roadblock to 100% completion of the game as most OLDER advice had suggested. Get over that hurdle and i was home free (9-Ball is much easier than 8-Ball.) Little did i know the punchline awaited.... THIS is the reason why only 11 of us brave (deranged?) souls have completed Pure Pool in over 7 years. It is something that most players will initially dismiss (as i did) ESPECIALLY if you have played Hustle Kings with the same trophy requirement, yet in Admiral Ackbar's inimitable voice: "IT'S A TRAP!" The snooker portion of the game that came with the later released DLC is definitely a realistic depiction of snooker but therein lies the problem. SNOOKER IS 10 TIMES MORE DIFFICULT THAN POOL. In real life (excuse me 'IRL' as the kids of today like to say) and thus in game. More balls, different baize, stricter rules and much, MUCH tighter pockets. No margin for error. You must pot 15 reds and 15 blacks and all colours without missing once. On Hustle Kings you had special chalk, an alternate angle, a further directional 'line', power meters and even a simple tap of a button to cue/pot rather than literally cueing with your analogue stick. Yes you can attempt this on amateur so you have directional 'lines' and also use the 'free ball' method to earn 8 additional points to begin with but nothing anyone could type, demonstrate or advise can prepare you for just how near PERFECT you must become to earn this trophy. Final Thoughts: Pure Pain not Pure Pool. Mental anguish i have not endured outside of bereavement! I survived. Many inanimate objects did not. The most controllers i had ever broken on a single game was 4 (nearly 15 years ago.) I went through 14 separate PS5 controllers in the pursuit of this completion. It makes the 'Turophile' trophy (A++ all Cheese Hunt levels) on I Am Bread look/feel like I Am Mayo in comparison! With jest firmly aside this IS the most realistic pool and snooker game i have played and if you are a fan of either sport i HIGHLY recommend it because the satisfaction of mastering something this demanding is immense. Yet if you are a trophy hunter or completionist i warn you to proceed with caution. You have not just two of the most intimidating trophies you will ever attempt but also one of the worst and most laborious grinds to Level 126 ahead that requires weeks of your life (minimum.) The previous fastest completion was 4 months and 3 weeks. I did it just shy of 29 days. If i can do it? You can too. Now excuse me whilst i try to bribe/apologize to my dogs, sew the clothing i physically ripped off my body in frustration (akin to a prime Hulk Hogan) and tally the cost of replacing the controllers and self-inflicted damage to my house. Cheers VooFoo Studios! Rating: 9 / 10 Edited July 13, 2021 by TheQuisling
Popular Post Sardavanua
#190 - Stories: The Path of Destinies Gray fox is my pup Didn't really enjoy the game back when it came with the monthly Plus line-up back in December 2016. Now almost five years later I gave it another shot and for some reason I kinda liked it and played through it in just a few days. The game just felt relaxing to me and neither the 25 different endings nor the grind to max level felt like a chore. It was actually kinda fun to see all those different outcomes, even though they could've implemented a skip button for all the minor cutscenes. The gameplay was solid, nothing special. Same goes for the soundtrack and the voice acting. The trophy list itself looks way more annoying than it actually is. Pretty much every single trophy will be unlocked automatically if you go for all the endings. All in all a solid small indie game. Give it a try if you got it through PS Plus! Popular Post madbuk
Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Originally I had planned on doing Persona 5 Royal before this, but I needed something relatively stress free over the past few days and this seemed perfect for that. It was also perfect for a trophy event I'm currently a part of (and have no chance of winning, but still...) so I decided not to wait and just jumped right in. Overall, I like the social event structure of this compared to the VN-style structure of Persona 4 Dancing, but it was still very weak in that aspect and a lot of the interactions were incredibly uninteresting and simply padded out the playtime. Exploring each character's room afterwards was fun though, I spent ages trying to track down some of those hidden cards lol. The dancing gameplay overall seemed harder than 4 was, but the trophy list was still extremely easy regardless because it doesn't ask for mastery at all. The UI is still complete trash and a real hindrance for me personally as someone with bad peripheral vision, but ignoring that I still had fun with it. Still don't expect to ever play 3 because of spoilers, but maybe Atlus will decide to port actual Persona 3 over some day and then I can play 3 Dancing afterwards.

Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#63: Tekken Tag Tournament HDKing of Iron Fist (22.25% - Uncommon)Master of all.Along with Life is Strange's, getting this game's Platinum made me really sad: this game is really special for me, it represents a big part of my childhood and I have several memories with it, back when it was one of my favourites on the Ps2. I still remember the first time I saw this game: I was already a big Tekken fan, and one day I saw it at my cousin's home, who made me play it on his Ps2, I think I was 8/9 years old. I clearly remember how shocked I was when I picked up Armor King, the game didn't start, and my cousin told me "No no, you got to pick TWO characters, not just one!", so I chose Baek and I started playing. Every character of the game is returning from Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 excluding the final boss, Unknown, and when I saw her and her wolf partner before fighting them I remember I was shocked, and my cousin "Ah yeah, these two are two monsters, be careful!" And I also remember very well the day I got to buy the game for myself, not too long after that. I remember we were in a store outside of my town and that the wheater was shit, there was an hailstorm: I looked for that game everywhere in the store but I could not find it, so I had to ask one of the guy working there, he looked for it into the computer and, after realizing that he had copies of the game, he went into a room, and he came out with it in his hands! And for some reason, that dude also wanted to give me an additional Ps2 game for free, a game called Disney Golf, but I rejected it: I remember that I actually wanted that game, but I had no idea it was for free and I didn't want my parents to spend additional money, so I kept saying "No no no no no I don't want it, I only want Tekken" for like five minutes until they gave up, I was a good kid So as I said, once I got the game, it became special for me: I actually enjoyed all the Ps2 Tekken games (4, 5 and Tag) pretty much in the same way, but I have more memories with this one. I remember playing it several times with my two female cousins everytime they visited me until we were 11/12 years old, the times we would argue because we would not tag in the other person's character and only play alone, and the laughs we had while playing Tekken Bowling... Classic Ps2 childhood memories. The last time I played this game on my Ps2 was in 2014, it's been 7 years, but replaying it on Ps3 in 2021 didn't change a thing: the love I have for this game is still the same and when I booted the game for the first time in 7 years and I saw all those Tekken characters in the character select screen I felt like visiting some old friends. And I also believe that this game has aged like wine: the big character roster, the beautiful stages, the soundtrack, the funny Tekken Bowl mode, this game is one hell of a Ps2 launch title.Overall the Platinum is easy, it can just be a bit tricky for newest players, and is doable in few hours, but for old times sakes, I decided not to put the Trophies as the first aspect, and I did what I used to do as a kid with this game: beat Arcade Mode with every character to see every ending. During the last decade I got just a bit better in competitive Tekken so, instead of playing on Easy difficulty as I used to do as a kid, I did it with the second highest difficulty, Very Hard (The very highest is pointless because the CPU just blocks every input of mine besides a couple of moves that are always the same, not funny and not worth it ): it was very funny and I did it with one character per session, every day I would tick off the random daily character from a list to see who the last, victorious character would have been. I also made sure to use every single character as the secondary one, thus making sure that I would be playing with a different team of two every timeThe last character turned out being Jin Kazama (With Panda as his partner), really fitting considering that he was the main character at the time of the game's release: the last Trophy I got was the one to switch Unknown's fighting style five times and, again randomly, Jin turned out being Unknown's partner, a curious coincidence. And third and last coincidence, Jin's girlfriend Xiaoyu turned out being the random character highlighted on the random character select button as I took a picture of the Platinum Trophy popping. I thought it was fitting to have the Platinum popping in the character select screen, I really wanted to have (Almost) all those dudes together for the Platinum

The last trophy I needed to have a complete A-Z platinum trophy collection! I know I'm never going to have a massive haul of platinum trophies, or a large amount of ultra rares or anything; that's just not my gaming style. So this was just a little personal goal I set for myself. I started making a deliberate effort to fill in the missing gaps about 18 months ago. I'll allow myself a bit of pride to have it done; it feels good! As for the game, it's alright. A decent first person puzzle adventure game. I'm glad I got it on sale, but overall it's pretty good if you're into puzzle games. The game takes place in the afterlife, and some of the stories of the deceased actually got me thinking a bit about what's important in life. Imagine that, a video game that makes you think!
