Popular Post Seraphim_Rez
One of the best RPGs I've ever played. I'm very happy that the localization of Cold Steel III is finally happening. Even happier that NISA is bringing in people who worked on the first two so hopefully there won't be a repeat of Ys VIII. Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#248-Secret of Mana I beat this a couple of weeks ago but didn't make a post until now. To me this was one of the most enjoyable replays I have ever done. Secret of Mana, to me, has the most nostalgia factor as it was the game that me and my brother spent hours leveling up each weapon and magic, Figuring out how best to beat bosses, combing the world trying to find the missing Level 8 Glove and Axe and getting mad at each other because someone paused the game just as we were about to launch our level 8 attack. This was also the first multiplayer game I introduced to my friends and became my friend Jordan's favourite game of all time to the point the two of us would stay up all night on a sleepover to beat just 1 more boss. When I heard this game was coming to Playstation with trophies I was so excited to finally be able to plat one of the SNES games I have been anxiously awaiting trophies for...but then I saw that first trailer and heard the hero speak for the first time. I also then noticed the price tag and was wondering if that inflated price was to supplement the unnecessary graphics and voices none of us asked for. I actually boycotted this game because of all of this. Finally that takes us to last month and EB Games was running an Edge Card deal that allowed me to pick this game up cheaply enough that I could warrant a playthrough of it and I am happy I waited (because full price was bullshit) but sad that I let things like new graphics and voice acting (which I will get to) almost deter me from replaying this amazing game. THE BAD The voice acting is painful to listen to (I tried both English and Japanese) but eventually i got used to it...but that was really bad. No online co-op...this was just a stupid choice and considering the HUGE price tag to this 25 year old game they could have allowed online co-op. The Good Everything else. This is still Mana and that makes it a great game. The graphics were actually a nice addition and I like that I could have the 16-bit map in the corner to remind myself what the game used to look like. The Inn Cut Scenes were a lot of fun and helped build the bond between the 3 characters (as we didn't really get a lot of that in the original game). So in the end I am happy I got to relive a great game. Hopefully Square learns from their mistakes and doesn't charge an arm and a leg for old games and we get some other great SNES games with trophies. Chrono Trigger, FF4, 5 and 6, Secret of Evermore, Seiken Densetsu 3. Illusions of Gaia, Soul Blazer...and Capcom a few Breath of Fire games would be nice as well
Popular Post Carol
#147 Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Ripto's Remorse Collect all trophies in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage I enjoyed this game a lot. Maybe because I already had the experience from the first game, I felt this one was easier and shorter. Once again, I could feel how much love was put into remaking this wonderful trilogy of games, that totally deserved this breath of fresh air. I think I enjoyed Spyro 2 even more than the first one, maybe because of the orb challenges, that made the levels even more fun. The platinum was also easy and enjoyable. I totally recommend this trilogy to new generations of players or to people that never got to play the original games. Popular Post Kuro-Okami
#53 God of War Enjoyment: 9,5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 What a great game. GoW1 is one of my all time favourite games. So taking a new route with this and interpreting it completely different could go wrong so easily. I think this is the perfect course the game series could have taken. Giving Kratos more depth and not just reducing him to his rage. Siding him with Atreus who seems a bit annoying at first but develops really well. The world, the exploration the battles... i could name so much i really liked about this game. The only aspect i didn't enjoy as much was the crafting. Beside that... masterpiece.
Popular Post GraniteSnake
#110: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back I thought this game was much easier than it's predecessor, especially in regards to the coloured gems and the time allotted to each gold relic. There wasn't any level where timing was an issue, and I managed to complete every level a good few seconds below the allowed time. I even managed to pick up 7 platinum relics in the process, with the majority of these coming from the levels that I struggled with the most. I found the bear levels to be the most frustrating, as these took a huge number of attempts each to get the pattern of the level down. The jetpack levels were quite frustrating also. In terms of difficulty, I found Cold Hard Crash to be a step above the rest and it took me numerous attempts before I eventually managed to string together a decent run. I choked during the final section 15+ times before I decided to slow down and take my time at the end. I feel like a lot of my issues with the runs came from trying to perfect them rather than taking my time. This is my favourite game out of the three, and it's also the game I remember the most from when I played it as a child. The levels that stuck inside my memory most were the bumble-bee levels ? I'm not entirely sure why... as of now I'll need a break from Crash Bandicoot before I decide to clean up the third entry.. With this platinum I've managed to get my unearned trophies down to just below 600 and my completion rate to just above 90%!

It is, 100% it already, though you better do it quickly while the servers are working it suffers from connecting issues and bugs frequently ), or at least finish the breach trophies, and leave the single mode for later. Popular Post DEsIx_KaerO
#166 - テイルズ オブ グレイセス エフ Here it is, for the third time. Really liked to play it again, and especially in Japanese. Loved the voice acting, loved to see characters grow especially Sophie , every cast member is awesome in their own ways. I also found out that Asbel is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai who i grew to like as a Voice actor since playing Cold Steel series ( Crow ) When i wanted to play something on ps3 yet again, i thought which game to play, well it was mostly between Tales games, and actually Tales of Xillia 2 was already put in disc tray, had it stay in the menu for a while before deciding that i wanted to start with Graces first, as i thought it would be the harder one to do But after finishing it, it wasn't really that hard, Inn requests, my biggest fear was not even that threatening And boss fights in 60 seconds were done all in first play-through except for Lambda ( Final boss ) and Fodra Queen, beating final boss in Chaos also was a walk in the park, even powered up version of him was a joke, he didn't even had time to use his Mystic Arte (* - uses Hourglass to pass time - *) Overall it was great to play it again, and i know i'm gonna enjoy the hell out of Vesperia when i finally decide to play it on PS4 and eventually PS3 version that has been resting in my shelf for a long time now. Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #58: Hitman GO (VITA) Game Score: 6/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 I forgot I had the Square Enix GO games until I was looking for a time-waster to play on my Vita over the weekend. I wasn't really sure what these games were about, but I decided to give them ago. So how are they? Eh... Well Hitman GO isn't bad. It's not a great game, but it's a pretty decent way to kill some hours, which I did over the weekend. What I liked about this board game-like puzzle game was that it definitely is the type of game that uses and helps improve your logical skills. It's not incredibly hard, although I must admit a few times I got pretty stumped in figuring out how to complete a few of the levels with certain parameters (especially the "Complete in Under XX moves"). It's an easy platinum that you can definitely accomplish in a few hours if you're not distracted, and I'm pretty sure there's entire walkthroughs if you have no interest in truly playing the game and just want to finish it quickly. I felt this game was worth the effort because of the mechanics. Again, it's not super good, but it's enjoyable and worth your time. It's okay, at best. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Platinum #59: Lara Croft GO (VITA) Game Score: 3.5/10 Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 On the other hand, I can't really recommend the Lara Croft GO game on Vita. I've read that the experience on PS4 (it's cross-play) is much better, but I'm rating this game based on my experience playing it on the handheld. Although similar, the gameplay for Lara Croft compared to Hitman is not as fun. It's admittedly easier to get the platinum in this game based on what you need to find, but there's a few problems with the mechanics and Vita version which made this game far inferior in comparison. I didn't think the gameplay was as interesting as the Hitman game. It just missed the marks on the fun factor compared to Hitman, and after a few levels it just was a chore to play. The game crashed three times while I was playing it, and didn't save my progress, causing me to repeat levels on these occasions. Unlike the Vita version of Hitman GO, this game did not support the D-Pad and there were many times the analog sticks were just plain inaccurate and if you make one particular misstep, you can completely fuck yourself over and get yourself killed, and cause you to start the level over. This wouldn't be so bad, if not for the fact that this game has such long and annoying loading times for everything. This game is not optimized for the Vita nearly as well as Hitman. There were so many instances of the frame rate dropping that was just laughable because of how little graphical power is coming out of what's really just a damn mobile game. I got more and more annoyed from the inaccurate controls and long loading times, which caused an additional amount of hours to finish the game. If you go for this easy platinum, play it on PS4 because it's just garbage on the Vita. Edited January 20, 2019 by Justin__Harris
Popular Post MoneyBagMav
1-20-19 Platinum #78 38 hours 7/10 Pretty cool for a parkour/zombie game. Only one trophy was really a hassle, excluding the multiplayer ones. Thankfully the many complaints of bugged trophies I read about never occurred for me, so overall an enjoyable experience.
Popular Post PooPooBlast
#117 and 100% Borderlands 2 PS4 Had a great time with this one. Can't say more than the first one though as they both take a little long to become enjoyable. (As expected with any rpg really). The humorous dialogues and a better antagonist though was really nice and a welcoming addition! I ran a siren build just because I love seeing colours from the various elements pop up on my screen on an enemy. And because I played as lillith in the first one Imo if you enjoyed BL1, do yourself a favour and pick this one up otherwise I'd say this game isn't necessarily for you. The DLC were actually surprisingly good especially Tiny Tina's which was on par with secret armory of general knoxx (my favourite BL DLC from BL1). Overall a decent game but I'd imagine it would've been much better if I played with friends!
Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
#18 - Battle Chasers: Nightwar Difficulty - 5/10 Enjoyment - 7/10 I really enjoyed this game. Basically from the first moment I started it up until hour mark 75.5 when I got the plat I had a blast. You're required to do a NG and NG+ which I found a little unfortunate, but with the right setup the NG+ run is even easier than the NG run. You're given 6 characters to choose your 3-man with but I stuck with the first three characters you have since you unlock the other 3 along the way through the game awkwardly (not the case in NG+). The game is like a mix between Diablo and [insert turn-based rpg here] since it's a loot based dungeon crawler with encounter-based combat. There are upsides to having certain characters working together, certain synergies that can be more or less useful on the whole, and I believe the game does a fair job of allowing you not to be pigeon-holed into a certain party/build despite some synergies existing. That being said, NG+ became very lopsided in a way. Whereas in NG I found each of my characters were capable of dealing damage or being generally useful, NG+ makes them really specific in their purposes. I had exactly 1 dps, 1 tank, and 1 healer who did only those jobs in every single encounter. But that's ok, one of the characters in NG+ can basically start out one-shotting everything from mooks to bosses so I didn't care how imbalanced it felt. I will say that the worst part about the game is the way it runs. The load times are the worst I have ever experienced, and will likely ever experience. Bloodborne before it was addressed did not have issues as bad as Battle Chasers. Crashes, softlocks, random models popping in and out, l o a d t i m e s, bizarre unskippable parts of cutscenes, these things are absolutely inexcusable at this point to the degree that they happen in this game. It is the least optimized game I've ever seen, be warned.
Popular Post GraniteSnake
#111: LA Cops A straightforward top down shooter with little variety and a very short campaign. At the beginning I thought I was going to struggle with it, but the game actually got much easier with each successive play through. The enemy AI tends to be pretty easy to exploit, and I ended up only dying a handful of times during my 'Nightmare' run. By that stage I knew where each of the enemies spawns were so that made it a lot easier to navigate through each level. I used my index fingers to control the camera, and used my right middle finger to shoot which felt strange and took a bit of getting used to. A very average game that provided a mild amount of entertainment for the few shorts hours I spent playing it.
