I also didn't see much improvement of the character creator options (personalization options, clothes etc...). Now time to play DLCs then Gat Out of Hell.

Popular Post Champ147
#146 Difficulty 4/10 Fun 9/10 This game was a complete joy to play. I was kinda just expecting a mediocre game since this was a Kickstarter title but I was blown away with how good it turned out. Despite having the plat, it's one of those games that I won't "retire" and I'll be turning it on again. For the plat nothing is to difficult. There are no difficulty trophies despite there being multiple difficulty levels. The game is fairly long for what it's worth. Only reason I didn't give it a 10/10 fun is just due to some minor tweaks I'd like to have seen. Such as making travel a bit more fluid, there were a few frame rate drops for sure, and just a few cosmetic things. Overall, excellent game.

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #202 LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars The Chosen One Collect all Trophies. I have a love/hate relationship with this game, as i've said in a status update. They clearly had a lot of ambition to put in space battles and the whole base mode [whatever it's actually called]. The problem with both is the horrific camera. All they had to do was pull it back and have give a more isometric view. Not fully isometric, just give you more of a view of what's going on. It made one gold brick a fucking nightmare, the Mindu Moon or whatever [too lazy to google the actual name but it's something like that]. Ended up using the second controller + turret trick people talked about on an achievement site because trying to fly around is bad enough with the camera. It's also pretty awful in terms of controls since your flips are just movements on the analog and you do them more often than not when you're just trying to slowly move back and forth. And man it's not a LEGO game without something glitching on you had to play through a tedious level again because when it split up my party my second screen fell out of it's spaceship and was just endlessly dying. Right at the final Minikit in the game I had to get. The level was the Grievous one where you fight him like 3 times before you get to the end. It was super tedious. The scale of some battles like the prologue were really cool, but they don't really use them in a way that makes it worth while. It's a shame. Even in the base battles the AI is still as brainless as ever, particularly your ally AI. So you're stuck doing it all yourself so you may as well not even have any bases. And in fact in some of the many missions you don't and that's the challenge... but it's not it's just long and tedious in the end. It's such a cool idea, it's a shame it wasn't done better. If it actually felt like you would lose a base or be overtaken at some point it would be interesting, but even on the timed missions they're just more annoying than fun. And when you have to slap a countdown to make something challenging you know it's not well designed. But other than that there's some LEGO fun to be had. I actually like that this was made at the times where they didn't have a character go "IDK" when they can't use something and shake their head and throw up their arms. That irks me as it puts you in place forever. Just let me spam while switching characters. But there's also the problem of this was before you could switch to whoever you want at any time so you had to run around back and forth to get the right characters for HUB stuff. Which was annoying and you had to buy the characters as they roam around which is just stupid. The force doesn't work great. The minikit/brick finder hasn't improved much over the years, back in this game it was also pointing to things that don't help you figure out some of them instead just pointing to where it will spawn. And some things are half way across the map. I'll never understand why some of these issues are still happening in new games. The bounty missions were kind of interesting. This is also before they just reused movie audio for story and for licensed games like this I actually prefer the miming as it is more creative in how it tells the story. I prefer the original LEGO games to be voice acted and movie based ones to be silent, but sadly I can't decide that one. I think this game overall just overstays it's welcome. There's too many of the base battles to do to get 100%, I think if they had just removed some of those and didn't have a space gold brick per planet then it wouldn't have felt so tedious by the end. I don't know. Part of the problem is me, as I always play through normally and break everything. Even without having multiplier bricks. And I try to do what I can the first playthrough. But that makes it take way longer than necessary, but that's how I have fun in a LEGO game so I don't see my changing that. *shrug* One more LEGO game down. A billion more to go.
Popular Post Viscera1900
#242 - Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom One True King "Awarded for achieving 100% completion." Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 My first time playing a Ni no Kuni game and I have to say I really enjoyed playing this game. The graphics/the world of Ni no Kuni II looks really colorful and beautiful. The story is good enough to get me interested, but the characters of this game are main reasons what made this game's story so enjoyable for me. I like action RPG games, so I'm a fan of this game's combat system. Like many big RPG games; getting platinum trophy is somewhat easy, but just really time consuming. Overall it took me +90 hours to achieve platinum trophy.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#429 - Tekken 7 It was enjoyable for the most part, but expected a lot better from all the high scores it got. Story mode is by far the worst I played in any fighting game. The lack of the beat?em up mode is a major bummer. Online was alright, although some of the matchmaking is pretty poor. Still a solid fighting game overall. Enjoyment: 7 Difficulty: 3.5
Popular Post madbuk
#359 - Oxenfree This game was alright. Someone I know is a big fan of it and recommended it, and it was cheap so I decided I might as well try it out. The story was pretty engaging and most of the characters were enjoyable (not Clarissa though), but the gameplay itself has a few issues imo. The walking speed is quite slow and I would've appreciated a button that speeds you up a little, as you'll be travelling quite a lot. It also softlocked me a lot of times, either forcing me to close the game entirely and reopen (and the only saving is autosaves which are quite far apart so I had to keep redoing stuff), or it allowed me to open the pause menu so I could return to title and then try again. This happened about 6-7 times in total across my 3 playthroughs, the majority of it coming from an end-game section. The sound design could also use a bit of work - especially early game, lots of characters kept interrupting each other, the choices go away faster than conversations end so you have to also interrupt some conversations if you want to respond at all, and you'd frequently reach the end of an area and have to stand around doing nothing if you wanted to hear everything because transitioning to the next area stopped any in-progress conversations. You do get used to it, but I would've appreciated choices pausing time to let you hear everything and still get to respond. The trophy list having a trophy for playing the whole game whilst saying absolutely nothing was... a little strange. The characters only rarely react to your silence, and the story itself doesn't change at all, so I don't really see the point of making it a trophy other than to pad the list a bit? The game is short though so it wasn't an issue, I just found it a bit odd. Overall I'd say I enjoyed this despite its flaws though. If it interests you at all I'd recommend playing it, but it won't be a game that I bring up when someone asks for general recommendations like I would with Edith Finch, or Bound, or Steins;Gate.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#435- Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Platinum Trophy Awarded for outstanding performance in Ghostbusters! Ah, Ghostbusters. Another relic from my childhood. I remember I had a cassette tape of the second movie's soundtrack, I think. Listened to it a ton. This is probably as close to a Ghostbusters 3 as we're ever gonna get (R.I.P. Ramis ). Having all the original Ghostbusters reprising their roles was a treat. And the story and humor were pretty good. Do listen to the answering machine messages in between levels; those are funny. Here's one: Spoiler The gameplay is pretty fun and unique, too. Kind of a third person shooter, but you also catch ghosts by wrangling them into a trap. It's a little too easy on Casual, but that under $100,000 property damage trophy forced my hand. Asking DamagingRob to not damage things? The NERVE! It's not too difficult to do, but I had to wipe my saves and restart by the second level. You will want to back it up to the Cloud/USB often, or risk doing the same. Professional is way harder, though. I used the glitch to save time, but you still have to fight the bosses. The A.I. is fairly useless on this difficulty. But I want them alive, so they can revive me. Go and revive them, they're back on the ground in seconds. :/ One boss can wipe out the whole team with one of its attacks, and that means restarting the entire fight.. So yeah. That was probably the only difficult part of the Plat, though. Everything else is fairly easy. Wracking up $3,000,000 in damage sounded like a lot, after keeping it under $100k for an entire playthrough. But you can just load up the checkpoint with the opera singing ghosts, blow up some cars, and reload the checkpoint to do it again. Was getting $400k per reload, and took no time at all. So yeah, pretty fun and easy Plat. I don't know if they're ever going to patch in multiplayer, but I imagine this would be pretty fun in co-op. So, it might be nice if they did. Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #56 - FIFA 15 (Vita) Football Legend - Unlock all other trophies Enjoyment; 4/10 Difficulty; 1/10 Fuck EA; 10/10 I suppose the complete and abject failure of the Vita to find the support it needed to enjoy a long and succesful life is encapsulated perfectly in the handheld's relationship with EA's FIFA football/soccer titles. The Playstation 2 still had annual FIFA titles made for it until bloody FIFA 2014. The Vita, meanwhile, launched with a game called FIFA Football, which was repackaged and resold as FIFA 13 a year later - with slightly updated skins for menus and updated rosters and kits/jerseys. FIFA 14 and FIFA 15, however, were launched with the subtitle 'Legacy Edition' - that is to say, they came with updated rosters and kits but no further changes to the games; 14 was the exact same game as 13 with just a title change and a quick update of the roster and club's shirts, and 15 was still 13 but with a further roster update and all online modes stripped out. EA did the bare minimum, they couldn't even be bothered to put in new headshots of players; instead, those who had transferred from one club to the next had their photos cropped so you couldn't see their (now out of date) shirts any more. This was only done for high profile transfers however; if you were to look in, for example, the Russian league, EA hadn't even bothered using the cropping tool. Still, both 14 and 15 were sold for 39.99 upon release, same as actual new Vita games. Crucially for this site, FIFA 15 has the least rare Platinum out of the four FIFA Vita titles; no one has the Plat for FIFA Football legit because it launched with a faulty trophy that was never patched, and FIFA 13 and FIFA 14 had awful online trophies leaving them both around 2.5% rarity on this site (I am proud of owning the Plat for 13); note that the faulty trophy from Football was renamed and now achievable, but it is known to be very glitchy still - they didn't completely fix it! Because online servers were yeeted for both Football,13 and 14 a few years after release as per EA tradition, out of the four FIFA titles on Vita only 15 can still be Platted - because it never launched with an online mode in the first place. EA simply ported 13 (or 14), ripped out the online, and called it a day - because why pay for servers, right? Anyhow, this decision meant that the Plat for 15 is now much quicker, easier, and most importantly, forever achievable to newcomers; it is the only FIFA Vita game of any value to trophy hunters. This is why I picked up a used copy for five quid last November - I knew it'd be easy (having gone through the exact same list plus online trophies for 13) and just a bit of a grind - quite worth it for a Plat with a rarity of 13%. I played on and off during my travels for work, and these past few days I decided to scratch my resurgent hunting itch by grinding out the remainder; I never did get a PS4 but want to get back in the game, but as I am waiting for the backwards compatible PS5 I will make do with expanding and finishing my Vita library. You could realistically get 32 out of 34 trophies in this game in just a day, but the main issue with the list is the glitchy Tour Bus trophy (Gold); this is the same trophy that kept everyone from Platinum in FIFA Football, and has since been glitchy but achievable in 13, 14, and 15. Tour Bus requires you to play a full match - minimum length of these is 8 minutes - in each of the 54 stadiums present in the game. However, these stadiums don't always register for everyone and aren't tracked anywhere, which as you can imagine can be quite fun. I used a checklist and was incredibly relieved to see it pop once I finished up an exhibition match in Schalke's Veltins Arena! So, a very easy if possibly frustrating Platinum thanks to Tour Bus, and an enjoyment of 4/10 for me; this has nothing to do with the gameplay - I loathe the stupidly shallow FIFA gameplay compared to the Mariana Trench-esque depth of Football Manager - and everything with seeing hundreds of football shirts rendered in quite nice detail (as you can tell from my signature, I am very obsessed with football kits). For how awfully lazy and exploitative the FIFA Vita games are, they do have really nice detail in the kits and stadiums. As such, I do heartily recomend everyone to seek out a copy of 15 for on the go; it is entertaining in short bursts even to a casual football fan, and it is technically a competent product with some decent game modes. It's just a shame that it is a verbatim 1:1 copy+paste of FIFA 14 with online (thankfully?) ripped out, while 14 was a direct copy+paste of 13, which was a direct copy+paste of FIFA Football with a trophy being semi-fixed. Still, with the dearth of mass market appeal games on Vita, this is one title you should own a used physical copy of. In closing, I suppose what I'm also trying to say is.... uhm.... FUCK EA, AND DON'T EVER, EVER BUY THEIR GAMES NEW.
