We are halfway through the season now, let's see the State of Play.

 

Platinum League:

Again, @Master_Mayhem_ is leading the pack unbeaten going into the second half of the season. With a 29 win streak in the league, he now has the longest win record in THL history and can make it 3 full seasons unbeaten if someone doesn't stop him. @Doylus91 and @Krazy_99 have only lost one match this season and are the closest challengers to Mayhem's crown, with Krazy having the best chance to do that as they are still to face Mayhem. Still a lot to play for in these last four matches. In the middle of the pack, we have myself, @Havoc273 and @Jello fighting to go up the table and making sure that we don't fall into the relegation zone. At the moment we are safe and not a threat to winning the League but some upsets can change that in an instant. After beating me in the first fixture @GTA_Darren seems to have gone off the boil a bit and hasn't won a match or put up close to 100pts in a fixture. @Arctic Cress is competing in another event so scoring regularly is an issue, this is putting them close to the relegation zone. @ApriIis sits in the relegation area due to minimal points scored and a very busy real life, alongside @Berendsapje who seems to be sandbagging, or possibly prepping for retirement. All four of these competitors can escape the relegation area as they are all so close together and with four matches to go, it can all change in an instant.

 

Gold League:

The Gold League is a tale of two halves. With no-one unbeaten, there can be a champion from anyone in the top six places! @ShinobiMonk and @Zephyr-pt are having a great maiden season and have only one loss apiece. Alongside @Lucas they sit at the top of the League, scoring big respectively and have the best chance of being promoted to Platinum. Just behind them however, are @Connie who has the highest total in Gold, @RedbeardRik who has woken up and is unbeaten in 3 matches and @FallacyUnknown who is not scoring high but winning matches to stay in the hunt. Each of these players all have a chance at the top spot, who knows where they may lay in a weeks time. The bottom is a tale of lazy and unlucky. @Wdjat Prinny Doods and @UltraDog177 had the second draw this season and sit just above the relegation zone. Prinny obviously just being the lazy and Oskar trying in his own way to keep himself above the red line. @Sebastian is getting distracted by cute anime girls and has been inconsistent this season, sitting just above @UGotHitByGunner who is being the wholesome boy he is and just enjoying games all over. Unfortunately in this competition that means being on the bottom of the pile. Still plenty of matches to prove otherwise though.

 

Silver League:

This league is the crazy one. @UnboundedCash99 is outscoring everyone and has 3 top scores this season. Hoping to break 2000pts and maybe beyond is a goal and most likely, they will achieve it. However the rest of the league is incredibly close with players moving all over the league every fixture. @serrated-banner9 sits second by virtue of a great score and only one loss, completely outscoring his previous attempts in the league. Between second and eighth though is only 3 points. @stupid0089 is free scoring and sits above the most impressive newcomer from last season @gazdavis11. @madbuk is doing what madbuk does, scoring high sometimes and not in others. @DEMONICRUBLE18 is free-scoring this season and is involved in the highest scoring match this season, but is only sitting sixth. However, this is still the highest place they have been in the league and can still be higher, possibly for promotion. @Brawler is being chill and still winning matches to keep them just out of the relegation zone alongside @Syr_Rys who is hanging in the silver league just about. @freddie1989 is hopefully enjoying being a new parent and that is proven with the position they are in with one win and in the hunt for relegation back to bronze. @IrishNelly sits on the bottom and pops up occasionally like a gopher and is the most likely to be going back to Bronze at the moment. Every match there are 3-5 changes in position, so nothing is certain in Silver this season.

 

Bronze League:

With so many newcomers, how will the old guard stand up? So far, @Gnillisch is unbeaten and scoring almost double anyone else in Bronze. They are the most likely candidate to be promoted and be in the CWC at the end of the season. Both @DatZoolander and @emzynitro__ have only one loss and are in the running for promotion or possibly the win, if the unthinkable happens. @Yuna is slowly falling down the order after having a strong start, but is still in the running alongside @BlackSquirrell1 who started weakly but is coming on strong in the second part of the season. @UnwaveringSoul_, @ResidentDarrell and @NandK1998 are all having a mixed bag in this season but still being very competitive and can jump up the order at a moments notice. The bottom is some old hands in the league, @TheScruffyton and @RudeDonny are the punching bags at the moment and are vying for the wooden spoon. Who will get that special implement for being the lowest placed player? Still time to escape that place.

i blame Lego star wars the skywalker saga for my loss but the game is just too fun, shame i don't own madden 25, 15 or 16 to easily score 60 points in a afternoon but oh well.

 

could still be promoted to Gold at the end of the season but i face 2 problems

 

1. running out of ammo, going to have to start using bits and bobs from different games to get points
2. lego star wars the skywalker saga is So damn fun, personal GOTY 2022 (i do have Elden Ring to play at some point)

We're starting to near the end of the main season, but there's plenty still to play for and lots of things are still happening.

Out of nowhere, @Doylus91 and @Berendsapje spawned a very high scoring match in Platinum. Well done on those massive scores both of you! Sad to see Beer still on 0 points after this .

@UGotHitByGunner is the first participant this season to officialy be relegated. All the while scoring higher than @FallacyUnknown who has 8 league points on the board in the same league... life is unfair sometimes .

@UnboundedCash99 and @Gnillisch are comfortably sitting in first place in their respective leagues. Unless some major upsets happen in the final two fixtures, they both seem to be set to go to the CWC!

With 2 fixtures left in the season, let's see how the competition for promotion, relegation and that coveted CWC place is going.

 

Platinum League:

@Master_Mayhem_ playing as many VR games as possible has surpassed 30 unbeaten games in the league and with two games left, 3 full seasons unbeaten is still within his grasp. The CWC spot is his to lose, but there are some still hot on his heels. @Doylus91 had an almighty battle against Beer and came out on top, some sort of beef here I suspect. @Krazy_99 faces the leader and can stop his march to victory if they win this fixture. Lowest they can finish is fourth, a best place overall in the THL. @Havoc273 is unbeaten in five matches and has shot up to fourth, another highest place in the THL and definitely safe for another season. Still having TV issues, I am not competing at the highest quality and I hope to stay in Plat with a high enough score. @Jello sits just behind me, nearly safe for another season in Plat it all depends on the bottom four. @GTA_Darren and @Arctic Cress sit just above the drop-zone and have important matches to stay up. If they both win their matches, they are safe and @ApriIis and @Berendsapje will be relegated. ApriIis needs to win at least one match to be in with a chance of escaping relegation and Beer can stay up if he wins both final matches and either Arti or Darren loses both their matches. Still a lot to play for to keep that Platinum tag.

 

Gold League:

@Connie still leads the chase for promotion by virtue of nearly a 1k score and has the best chance of finally being promoted to the top league. @RedbeardRik has surprised everyone and on a string of five wins has jumped into second place and ahead of the chasing pack for that last promotion spot into Platinum. After such strong starts, both @ShinobiMonk and @Lucas have faltered and are tumbling down the table with Lucas now on three losses on the bounce. Even so, there are only 3 points between third place and ninth. @Zephyr-pt seems to have been running out of ammo recently and @FallacyUnknown is still scoring wins with the lowest overall score in Gold league. @Wdjat Prinny Doods is somehow still having a lazy season, but I'm sure he is lying, @Sebastian has been popping off scores and plats to jump out of the relegation zone just about and @UltraDog177 has a really good score but sits in in the relegation zone after an impressive season. Anyone from these six can still go down and four are in the running for promotion. So many permutations but the simplest one is that if Oskar avoids defeat, the final match will decide every place from second through to ninth. Sadly, @UGotHitByGunner is the first to be confirmed relegated and will be in Silver next season.

 

Silver League:

@UnboundedCash99 is running away with the league and only needs one more victory to be crowned champion and CWC contestant for the Silver League. Behind them though, there is a fight for that last promotion spot between five people and only 3 points separate them all. @stupid0089 is the closest to Cash and their match will either strengthen stupids position in the promotion battle or solidify Cash as champion. Behind them all fighting for that last spot is @madbuk who is still scoring randomly but in close contention, @DEMONICRUBLE18 who after an unlucky start is on a three match winning streak and the second highest scorer in the league and a win will push them closer to that last promotion spot. @gazdavis11 is having an unlucky run but still has a chance, especially if they beat madbuk in their current match. @serrated-banner9 seems to have slown down a lot and now sits sixth, definitely safe in Silver but still in with an outside chance of promotion if they overcome Brawler this fixture. @Syr_Rys is basically safe for this season, a point will keep them alive in Silver for another season and they can technically be promoted but lots of matches have to go their way. At the bottom @Brawler can stay in Silver if they win over serrated-banner this fixture and both of the bottom two lose their matches, but it will go down to the wire otherwise. @freddie1989 and @IrishNelly are propping up the league and if they lose this fixture, they are nearly guaranteed on playing in Bronze for Season 40.

 

Bronze League:

@Gnillisch is out front and unbeaten and will be seen in Silver next season. One more win will make them champion of Bronze and another CWC contestant. The fight for second place is still all up in the air. @emzynitro__ has fought their way into second place and holds the last promotion place but with four more competitors able to take that spot away, the fight will rage into the final match. @DatZoolander is having a topsy-turvy season but is in the fight and will knock Yuna out of contention if they win the current fixture. @BlackSquirrell1 had a slow start but has roared back into the top four, still very much in with a chance of promotion and will pull clear of @NandK1998 if they win the current matchup. NandK1998 is on a roll at the moment and is likely to be pushing for that last spot after three wins on the bounce. @Yuna still has an outside chance of promotion but after not scoring for 3 fixtures, real life seems to have taken them away from the competition. @UnwaveringSoul_ is safe from the bottom spot this season and will be hopefully raring to go for next season. @ResidentDarrell after a strong start has tailed off and seems to be playing games for fun (which is the point) but not scoring much in the league. Maybe next season they'll be at the sharp end. @TheScruffyton put on a big score recently and has inched away from the wooden spoon race, I wonder if they remember this happens sometimes. @RudeDonny has played 3 games all season and only one of them counts, if they don't get some scoring in soon, the wooden spoon is definitely theirs this season.

 

A further note, RudeDonny, IrishNelly, freddie1989, FallacyUnknown and ApriIis are all under the 200pt cut-off for staying in the league automatically. Remember, the message to stay in the league will come on PSNP and not on Discord.

 

Let's see how these last two matches shake it all up!

The final standings are becoming clearer now.

In Platinum, @Master_Mayhem_ will be crowned champion if he wins his final match, if something goes awry, @Doylus91 needs a 200pt bonus to overtake him. @Arctic Cress needs to win to definitely stay in Plat, but both @Berendsapje and @ApriIis still have a shot to overtake Arti if that doesn't happen.

 

In Gold, @Connie will be promoted, unless over 500pts are dropped by @RedbeardRik and @Zephyr-pt. Either way it will be between these three who will make it to the top league. With @UGotHitByGunner already relegated, the only chance for @UltraDog177 not to be relegated is to put up over 300pts and hope that Prinny loses his final match.

 

In Silver, @UnboundedCash99 is Silver Champion and far out from the pack. That final place is between @madbuk, @stupid0089 and @DEMONICRUBLE18 with two of them facing off in the last fixture. @freddie1989 and @IrishNelly are relegated to Bronze for next season.

 

In Bronze, @Gnillisch is Bronze Champion and so far unbeaten. Anyone from second to sixth can still be promoted in that second promotion spot. It is still between @TheScruffyton and @RudeDonny who will get the wonderous wooden spoon for this season.
