Popular Post Zolkovo
#28 Platinum Trophy (0.70%) Max Payne 3 Thoroughly enjoyable experience despite a few technical hiccups. Great story, although it does get a bit tiresome after the 6th playthrough. My only gripes with this game are some of the epic game breaking bugs & freezes as well as the inability to skip a lot of cut scenes. Thankfully arcade mode cuts out the beginning and end of every chapter, so it's only really 2 of the playthroughs where I had to soldier through the tedium. As for the bugs, I faced the majority of them during score attack, regular NYM and story modes so it wasn't such a big deal although I did face a couple during NYMHC runs which was frustrating. The worst part by far was the level 50 grind. Repeating the same level over and over 500+ times was one hell of a task and took me around 30 hours in total, but the pain was dulled by a few excellent Karl Pilkington/Ricky Gervais/Steven Merchant podcasts. I also kept myself motivated by constantly trying to beat my score while maintaining speed in score attack. I ended up with global #2 under soft-lock and global #15 under free-aim, which was really surprising as I was rushing through the level without paying much attention to headshots/multipliers etc. Overall my rating for this game is as follows: Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Grind: 7/10 Edited March 1, 2018 by Zolkovo
Popular Post ERICVOLTAGE
#140. Oh, man. The adventure I've sorely missed from this series is back, marking a brand new high for the series; something missing for years now. Such a fun, warm, welcome return to the great balance of reality and fantasy.
Popular Post Baker
#170 Yakuza Kiwami Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Total playtime: 75 hours Second Yakuza platinum in a row. Compared to Yakuza 0 I found this to be slightly harder because of some annoying climax battles and the car chase on legend difficulty, although it took half the time. I wish I knew about these games earlier because for me these games are really fun and addictive. Can't wait for Yakuza 6 and Yakuza Kiwami 2.

At first I didn't really like the characters but as the game progressed it clicked for me and I ended up loving most of them. I enjoyed the puzzles and it pushed me to think a bit more. Also I liked the science and psychology aspects, ended up being a really intriguing and engaging game.

It's a shame when people only know of them through AIA. I was thrilled to recently discover a huge collection of XFM recordings (where they cut out all the songs). There are 4 series, with series 2 hosting a whopping 51 episodes! A few have guest speakers where one or more of the presenters are on holiday but I tend to skip them. The format is really similar to the podcasts. Anyway in case you haven't heard these either: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxxcWWEicSLu1JTjacA0Z-A/playlists I haven't listened to series 1 yet, so my recommendation is based on series 2, 3 and 4. Since this game was free previous month I decided to plat and honestly I did not except so much from it, So as you can know (for those who finished it) I was so surprised by this indie game and I think this game is overall one of the best indie games ever released for PS4, amazing story, amazing ambient and the best thing about this game: SOUNDTRACK . I will definitively keep an eye out and looking forward to play new game releases from this studio. Edited March 1, 2018 by SaVerr2609
Popular Post ApriIis
Ratchet & Clank:All 4 One #30 10.46%- Rare One of the most disliked out of the R&C games has made it as my 30th platinum milestone. As someone once said "once you stop comparing it to the original Ratchet & Clank you'll start having fun. " I've been playing it over the past two weeks mainly at night with my girlfriend, and we actually had lots of fun playing it.It was a bit childish sure but it was an easy game that really anyone can play and enjoy. Although I do suggest playing with someone else because I think it's way more fun competing for the bolts and critters as well as just messing around like shooting each other of cliffs using the suction cannon (can't remember the real name of it) .In conclusion ,despite its somewhat poor reputation it's a really fun game. Overall difficulty is 2/10 (Honestly you can just fly through the game using critter strike only) with the enjoyment being a 7/10.
Popular Post madbuk
#245 - Gravity Rush 2 Gravity Rush 2 was a satisfying follow-up to the original but I still can't help feeling slightly betrayed that it wasn't on Vita, since Vita is still alive and well and it's the device that made Gravity Rush popular in the first place. After getting the plat for the first game I had hoped that this game would change up the combat to be a little less simple and repetitive, and to an extent it did actually do that - it introduced new combat styles with various uses and movesets. Honestly though I never used the Jupiter style and only ever used the Luna style for flying enemies so it was basically the same experience as Gravity Rush for me, combat wise. Also, Gravity Rush 2 offers a lot more extra content than the original game did. You still have the challenge missions and collectibles, but on top of those there are 49 side missions. While this is a welcome inclusion, I did feel like a lot of the side missions dragged on a bit too long. I also like the setting of this, it introduces an entirely new city to the franchise and you still get to explore the town from the original game. I played the original Gravity Rush in January (as a stack), but flying around the city in Gravity Rush 2 just felt so nostalgic for some reason even though it had no right to be. I would often ignore the main/side missions and just fly around gathering gems instead. The story went a bit off rails in the final chapter I felt but there's no denying that this feels like the final entry to the series, which is a shame because I'd love to see more, this is such a unique and enjoyable concept for a game which is something that's hard to find these days. I hope we see the series come back, maybe as a reboot or a prequel or a side-story or even a sequel, who knows, if we get more I'm happy.
Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #188: Bridge Constructor (Vita/PS4) Vita version was playable but it has some problems. It crashed too many times (10+), slowdowns every now and then, can’t load Bridges from save, can’t delete a bridge part (happened a few times). PS4 ran smooth, no hiccups. Cross Buy and Cloud Save saved the day. PS4 pointer moved faster and much sharper visual helped. Though Vita version was better in zooming in and out. PS4 can see the detail without the need to zoom. Switch back and forth from the Vita and PS4. Not all guide solutions from multiple sources worked. Had to figure some out by myself. 185-86: Little Prairie 187: Squareboy Stack 189: PBA ALL Star Stack Difficulty: 3 Enjoyment: 6 Rating: 6
Popular Post GeraltTheDuck
Platinum #6 Mass Effect: Andromeda Andromeda's Finest Acquire all trophies Rarity 6.46% - Very Rare It was hugely disappointing like i expected. But after i decided forget its Mass Effect game and took at is generic scifi shooter i started enjoy it more. Gameplay is good and even some were improvements compared to earlier games. Felt like skill system was much better compared to ME2 and ME3 as there were bigger selection fo skills and you could get 3 skills with different cooldown and not just many skills with one cooldown. Inventory system also were better. Shooting felt pretty good but i did dislike automatic cover system. And then there were reason why it was HUGE disappointment. Writing was not nearly as good even bad in some points (both story and dialogue). World building i felt was very bad compared to original mass effect trilogy. Human animations did not bother me so much, but the aliens bothered me very much for whole game. Krogan and Asari faces felt wrong. And bodyshape of turians and salarians were not so good. New alien races i did not care at all and was kinda pissed that some races from milky way were forgotten. From new aliens maybe Kett were most intresting for me. Only thing i think they succeeded in world building etc. was open world planets, the Havarl especially. Trophy list is pretty easy. Insanity feels very easy even if you do it on fresh character and not ng+. Only annoying trophies are strike team ones as they are nothing else than waiting. Popular Post monkeydluffy512
#256 Dragon Age: Inquisition Somewhere underneath the frame rate drops and freezes is a decent rpg. After the lazy cut and paste hack job of Dragon Age 2 it was nice to have a game with a world I could get lost in for hours. After finishing this game I am left with a horrible feeling of dread of what is coming next. Bioware can make some decent and fun games, but with EA being super money hungry, I am afraid of what Dragon Age 4 will look like with the "games as service" model EA is pushing for.
Popular Post itachi-destroyer
Transcendence Earn all the trophies in the game (excluding additional content trophies). Difficulty : 7.5/10 Enjoyment : 5.5/10 Since I still don't have access to any other console than my PS3 and I'm kind of running out of game to play, I decided that I should look at the games that were offered to the players during the "Welcome Back" offer a few years ago. When I first played WipEout HD I despised the game and I left it at 5% completion thinking I'll never go back to it; but since I know my tastes change as the years go by, I thought I should give the game another try before the servers closure. And here I am with a nice 100% for this game ! At first I was a little scared of the 9/10 difficulty that this game received in almost every trophy site but the game turned out to be MUCH easier than expected. The most difficult trophy is without a doubt "Elite Campaign Legend" which requires you to pretty much master every race in the game, the only problem with this is that the races against the AI are more reliant on luck than skill; you can do the best possible time on one race and still finish 8 because the AI decided that they are not going to let you win this race, and you can do an average time on the next race and win because the AI was too "lazy" to beat you. The worst part of the campaign are the tournaments and especially the last one because you need to have more points than the AI after 8 races and considering the AI in this game is a real b*tch, it is not unlikely that you are going to easily beat the first 3 or 4 races of the tournament and lose all the next ones because the AIs are going to focus on putting all the roadblock possible in front of you even if they have to die for that. So yeah, that sums up really well what I think of the difficulty of this game, it isn't hard because you need to be a god at racing games, it is hard because the AI is shit and you need to have quite some luck for the races. You might wonder why I gave a 5.5 enjoyment after reading this, the reason is quite simple. Even though the races sucks (which is a shame in a racing game...), the game offers a lot more content than pure races, and this content is really good and "relaxing" when you want to be able to race alone without having 7 stupid AI that are trying to make you throw your controller on the TV screen. Besides races, you can do time trials (which are really fun and helpful to help you become a master at this game), fast lap, zone mode (a survival mode in which you'll need to survive to try to make the best score possible, but as the time goes by, the speed of the game will increase a lot) and the DLC modes that are pure fun. My favourite mode has to be eliminator because your only objective is to destroy as much AI ships as you can, a good way to take out your frustration on them haha. On another subject, the graphics of this game are truly amazing for a game that is ten years old and the ost is good enough to put you in the good mood to play the game at the best of your abilities. In definitive, a nice experience that could have been way better if it wasn't for the AI. Half of me despise this game and the other half really enjoyed the rest of the content this game has to offer so I encourage you to make your own opinion on this game before the servers closure prevents you to add a really rewarding platinum to your collection. Popular Post Icebrand1270
I don't get much computer time these days, so here goes with a Plat update for February of 2018... Staff permitting of course. 10. Arcade Game Series Galaga 2-7-2018 11. My Name Is Mayo (PS4) 2-11-2018 12. My Name Is Mayo (Vita) 2-11-2018 13. Mr Massagy 2-15-2018 14. Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart 2-16-2018 15. Rugby 15 (PS4) 2-23-2018 16. Little Adventure on the Prairie (PS4) 2-25-2018 17. Arcade Game Series Ms Pac-Man 2-26-2018 18. Little Adventure on the Prairie (Vita) 2-27-2018 19. Arcade Game Series Pac-Man 2-28-2018 I continue to rebuild under a new PSN ID (OohYeah127) after losing the name Icebrand1270 to a bank card hack in September of 2017. And was this EVER a way to rebuild: A 10-PLAT MONTH! With 455 TROPHIES! YIKES! 5 of these games need no introduction for being ridiculously easy... and ridiculous in several other aspects... and barely getting approved for a Plat list as well. Those being the 2 My name Is Mayo, Mr Massagy and the 2 Little Adventure On The Prairie, of course. At least they were a combined 9 USD. Money well spent for time wasted, I guess. Rugby 15 is a well-known "budget" sports game from with bad mechanics (though better on PS4 than PS3 or Vita). Remember to bring a second controller for a local co-op trophy as there is no online play. Nightmares From The Deep was the first game from point-and-click/hidden object PC/Steam company Artifex Mundi ported to PS4 in June of 2016. Featuring beautiful painting-like graphics, nice soundtracks, good puzzles and fun plots, I did several of these on my old PSN ID. This company caused quite a stink by raising their game prices recently from 10 USD to 15 USD. From what I hear, this isn't the first time if you go back to their PC days. Yikes! The Arcade Game Series games bring back timeless classics with Platinum Trophies, and also have Dig Dug as well. Use the famed "Cloud-Save exploit" trick to make things easier (Or perhaps make it a possibility... it's that tough even with it!) What's next? Burnt out, obviously! Then, tougher games!
Popular Post xZoneHunter
#202 Monster Hunter World Time: 300hrs+ This was my first Monster Hunter game, and it turned me into a fan of the franchise for sure. Over the last month basically all my game time went into it. Although i have to say that it wouldn't be as enjoyable if i wasn't playing with other people. Let me give you quick rundown of the type of people i played with: @zajac9999 The mega-est of megabrains, part of A-team and a solid hunter to have in your squad. He does the damage, always has dung and flashpods and you can be sure to get diablos horns playing with this guy since he loves to bash monsters' faces in. He also provided quite a few juicy quests that had many crowns in them unlike other people i played with.... @Xuuzai aka mudman Dan, part of L squad and self proclaimed MASTER TRAPPER (even though he never has enough tranq bombs to actually trap a monster). As most people know, Dan isn't the best at games. We had to carry him through most of the stuff to the point where he basically started leeching quests. Standing in camp 'prancing' while a message popped up saying: "AFK Time boys!". He once invited his fellow party mates to kill a supposedly giant Vaal Hazak that was almost dead, just to stand in camp prancing waiting for us to kill it. Not to mention his horrible sense of monster sizes when we started playing the game. "This Odogaron is FOOKING HUUGE", "This is the tiniest Pink Rathian i've ever seen!" were phrases that you would hear quite a few times when partying with Dan, even though at that point we already killed 50 huge odogarons and small Pink Rathians with no crown to show for it. Playing with Dan for 300hrs was certainly an experience. @Brawler aka aspiring megabrain. Even though he wasn't part of the squad initially he pulled his own weight providing juicy investigations and crowns. Overall he was a good apprentice to have in our monster hunter squad. @Wdjat Prinny Doods aka Leechy Wayne. Prinny and Dan are the bestest of friends. I don't think we did one session were they weren't arguing about who is the better leecher or who put in the most "WORK". If you play Monster Hunter with Prinny then you can be sure to bring your own quests, because Prinny usually does his own thing to complete his Lance build he's been working on for the past few weeks (which still isn't finished) But when you do get a monster that's crown worthy you can count on Prinny to join in and put in some WORK but only once it's skulled ofcourse. Even with all of his shortcomings Prinny was still a Loyal subject of mine and always followed my orders and directions. He trusted me completely, which is always a nice characteristic to have in a fellow hunter. He worked hard for his place in B-team. @Tearraven aka "just in the party for the laughs". Tear wasn't an offcial member of the monster hunter squad, but he still deserves to be mentioned here, since he was always there to get in on the party chat gainz. *****This post was made in jest, don't take it seriously

Popular Post Lars
#135: Squareboy Vs Bullies: Arena Edition This game started out alright, just cruising through the levels. Doing some of the moves required for trophies and playing through some levels that are all easy. But then you'll get too the last few levels and the game gets more difficult. A little bit because the levels get longer and the enemies get stronger. But more so because the game starts to cheat a little, at least, that's how it feels to me. The problem with this game is that the attack button and the grab button are the same, when you grab an enemy you can do more damage to that enemy but not flee or attack others. Then you get swarmed very easy, you also cannot let loose at that moment so you either have to finish that move, or you have to get attacked. There also enemies that do ranged attacks, when they hit you you fall on the ground and can't do anything. Often the moment you stand up, which the game does automatically you're immediately hit with another ranged attack. It can happen therefore that you're doing well, and suddenly you lose half your health bar because the game chains 5 of these "cheating" moves together which felt very cheap and unfair to me. The problem for me was that at the moment i encountered this, i only needed to complete the game (level 12-13-14) for the platinum so i didn't want to give up.
