Popular Post Eyjabria
Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) The Horned BoyAcquired All Trophies That is one ugly trophy image... I hadn't played the original on PS2 or the remaster on PS3 so I was looking forward to playing this game. The concept was great and I enjoyed the gameplay, zooming from an epic boss fight to another, with no trash monsters in the way. Climbing up the massive colossi and figuring out how to take them down was fun - when the game worked as expected. This game made me question why I hunt trophies. Gaming is supposed to be fun and relaxing pastime. I don't remember ever being so angry at a game as I was when I played the Hard Time Attacks in Shadow of the Colossus. Ridiculous glitches, erratic controls and collision detection plus camera angle issues didn't make it a fun experience when every second and every bit of stamina counts. Getting flung through the air as if there was an impact from an invisible explosion and glitching when climbing, not being able to do anything properly wasn't rare. At one point the main character seemed like he had eaten earthquake pills that kicked in right when he was about to deliver a killing blow... See my video below. The minimal storytelling was constructed nicely, leaving room for your own ideas about what has happened and whose actions are morally right or wrong. I often got lost when trying to find my way to the colossi but luckily the environments were so beautiful to look at that it wasn't a terrible bother. I would have liked some kind of alteration of weather and time of the day to make the world seem more alive. The music that played during battles was another highlight of the game. What bothered me is why they still can't make anatomically correct models for horses. It was so disturbing the horse didn't even blink. Overall I recommend the game to anyone who hasn't played it before. But seeing critics award it 10/10 is gross exaggeration at its current state with the technical issues I experienced.

Popular Post Venocide
#132: Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (PS4) Chain of Memories Master Obtain all trophies. Probably the only Kingdom Hearts game I was dreading to play-through, mainly because of the battle system being so much different from the rest but it was quite enjoyable. Only 2 bosses gave me trouble, Spoiler part 2 Vexan and Axel in Sora's story. Riku's play-though was a breeze even with a set deck, I could just abuse the duel system and all bosses went down easily.

(I managed to get like 7 which saved me a lot of time xD)
Popular Post IntroPhenom
Platinum #30 (PS4) & #31 (VITA) Little Adventure on the Prairie Big Adventurer Current rarity: 94.60% (PS4) & 96.54% (VITA) Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 This game has appeared numerous times recently on this thread. Lots more than any other game, and of the people who bought it, almost everyone has ragged on it, calling it some kind of fail. An important point to consider, however, is where the game succeeds. Here's the thing with games like this - we should cut them a little slack. LAOTP is a good first attempt at creating a game by a new developer, and the bones of what might evolve and become substantial future adventures are not only present, but obvious. Yes, simplicity drives the game, and the mechanics are no different. As you play, your character walks, jumps, and slashes a sword. You collect attack and defense power ups, and replenish your health with red bottles for a small amount, and blue bottles for a larger amount. When your health runs out, you lose, and must restart the level from the beginning. And you will lose! (At least I did.) Beginning at level six, the enemies get stronger, and the well-used tactic of spamming the square button to swing your sword during the first five levels is not enough to win. When two, or sometimes three, enemies attack, it means certain death. To conquer the last half of the game, you realize a *strategy is required, and it is in this realization where the game reveals itself as a solid first effort with a good foundation by a nascent game developer who knows games and understands what makes them tick. Enemies are well presented, and tickle familiar synapses in every gamers' mind. The first encounter is with an unintimidating creature, but later a similar creature has a helmet, signifying an increase in difficulty. (My gamer brain and yours are conditionalized to recognize this.) Later still, a helmeted created is equipped with armor. Another difficulty increase! In subsequent levels, new creatures emerge, and because of their later appearance in the game, we understand them to be even more difficult. Then, they change color, a classic indication of a new challenge. It's in these basic gaming tropes that LAOTP succeeds. This is from the developer's website: Welcome to Infinite Madaa, a Video Game Development Company in Doha Qatar established in 2017. We are a group of gamers that have grown up with games and we would like to give back to the gaming community, so we decided to create our games and release them to the world to enjoy them. I mean, these people just founded their company last year! They're not trying to flood the market with attempts to cash in on recycled or unplayable garbage. They're hopeful to someday contribute quality content to the market. According to their site, a turn-based RPG is in the works. Money made from LAOTP will certainly help with that; here's hoping it's great. If within a few games Infinite Madaa hasn't graduated from the basics that make up LAOTP, then the gaming community will have some reason to gripe. Until then, though, let's just play this one for what it is. Pardon me for getting a little preachy. * I nicknamed the strategy the 'face dance'. To do it, jump towards an enemy during their advance. Instead of carrying over them, you end up floating in front of their face/head, and if you keep 'walking' towards them, you'll remain there, and you can slash your sword for damage, without receiving return damage. This works almost every time, but it's not consistent. Sometimes enemies can damage you during the face dance, for whatever reason.
Popular Post GarciaFever
#179 Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z FUCKING YES!!!! I'm done with this piece of shit game! To anyone getting this game, you are fucked if you get the Vita version. Trying to find others is pretty hard in and of itself, but it's almost impossible since the game makes it so that only Vita players can play with Vita players, and PS3 players with PS3. Good luck trying to find x number of people, and have them play as certain characters. At first the trophy for playing 50 hours doesn't sound as daunting, but the most that I can get when I play a certain battle is around 1 hour. But being a Vita player, I can't last 5 minutes without the Vita automatically going on stand by. It's like me having to constantly watch my dog and make sure it doesn't shit or piss on the damn floor when i'm not looking. I like the premise of being able to play with 4 characters, but the AI is just absolute trash sometimes. When I setup for a chase via sending my opponent flying, it's a 50/50 chance of at least 1 character successfully hitting the when prompted so as to continue the chain, or just avoid hitting it altogether because it is too busy trying to attack the other enemy that is somewhat busy trying to kick my ass. "Umm then why don't you use Android 18 as she can heal you?" - says the random DBZ player. Me: Ok look, this is a fighting game, not an RPG. Yes it's ok that Android can heal (potentially turning into a white mage), but what happens when she is busy getting her ass kicked? All of the sudden, that healing power of hers doesn't do shit now, does it? Lastly, I don't mind the fact that I have the ability to equip certain cards to my main character so as to get certain attack boosts and such, but this whole idea about having to wait a certain amount of weeks just to get a certain card to appear in the store so as to buy it with PP points is just bullshit. Not only that, but the one card that can help you increase the amount of PP that you earn at the end of the match also happens to become available about once a week. So if you don't get that card as soon as possible, then you better keep on replaying that same battle over and over again until you get the week where the card will become available again. Overall, this is by far the worst DBZ game I have ever played. Thank god I don't have to do any more unnecessary grinding. *Dragon Ball FighterZ pops out of nowhere* DBFZ: Hey man, you still up for playing online tonight? Me: ...fuck my life.
Popular Post monkeydluffy512
#255 RIME The past few games I've played I found myself enjoying the gameplay but hating the story. I've heard a lot of good things about Rime, but still went into this game a bit skeptical, as to whether or not it would deliver a solid story. I'm happy to say it delivered, there were no words spoken and yet gives a beautiful and heart wrenching tale.

Loved the game and the bizarreness of it... Until Akumu Mode. Popular Post PhantomFear94
#10 SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS The Horned BoyAcquired All Trophies Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 25/30 Hours 10th Platinum, after starting my PS4 account in October. Adored this game. It shows signs of age but overall its a stupendously good classic and one of the best video games of all time. Didn't play it on PS2; tempted to go back and play the OG version just to appreciate it. Only NieR: Automata has topped this for me when it comes to PS4 exclusives, that game blew me away in a genre I don't typically like. Trophy wise it was a fun, balanced list too. Hard time attacks the only thing remotely challenging and I did them on both difficulties within 8 hours, the PS4 version SEEMS far easier. Everything else is a 2/10 difficulty. May consider the Last Guardian at some point but I really didn't like the first few hours compared to this, which gripped me straight away. Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #134 The Little Acre The Little Acre Unlock all the Trophies in The Little Acre Cute game. I enjoyed it. Though the voice acting was a bit flat, and my god the lipsync was terrible. Especially in the final scene, it was like two seconds off. But the animation is really good, and I enjoyed the experience. The music was good. I did find some things annoying, like how the cursor wasn't as visible as it should be against a lot of the backgrounds. And how it would recenter itself sometimes, and the inventory menu was kinda crap. But hey. An enjoyable easy plat, so no real complaints here. Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #42: Lifeless Planet (PS4) Game Score: 6/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 I finally got around to finishing this game up. I picked this game up for like $0.80 or something like that when I got my PS4, played it for a little bit, didn't really care much for it and forgot about it. But that was before I was gung-ho about trophy hunting, so naturally this was on my list of oldies to complete. The game itself is just 'meh'. It's okay, not really a good game even. The soundtrack and eerie atmosphere is what sells the game. It has a so-so story, that's kind of intriguing, but due to the shortness of the game itself, the narrative doesn't really expand as well as it could, even if you pick up all the collectibles and read them, it's pretty bare. I'll give the designer some credit since it was basically a one-man show off of a $17,000 Kickstarter campaign. In that regard, I will ignore the irritations I had with the game which were mainly the precision and controls, which sucked. The Platinum isn't difficult to achieve, but due to the crummy controls, it took me a few runs to get the Survivalist trophy, where you have to make it through the game without dying. Better controls, and less game glitches would have made it easier to achieve, but it's not really hard. I read that the creator successfully got another Kickstarter project -- dubbed Lifeless Moon -- funded, so perhaps I'll give that a go if it makes it to the PS4 like this one.

Popular Post XIRCHRAD-
#3: Styx: Master of Shadows (PS4) All the trophies ~ Ultra Rare 2.53% Sucker for stealth games, this in my opinion is a great one. It felt old school mixed with new open areas. It was nicely done. Quite complex areas which made it great for any kind of play style really but it's really made for stealth. I like the idea of the game it gives you abilities that help you from area to area. If I was going to compare it to anything it probably would be dishonored but like a very basic, third person kind of idea. Honestly though Styx is not only the master of shadows, he's a master of adding in a curse word to every single sentence he says in the game or near enough. It's not a bad story either honestly. Has a nice twist half way through the game and makes the game even more enjoyable. Some tough sections to get through while going for the insignias. Each mission has 4 insignias. No alerts, no kills, finish in a certain time and collectibles. I don't usually mind collectibles but these hold literally no value. Take them out and the game can be really quick. I'm shocked at the rarity for such an easyish game, was it released on PS Plus a while ago or something? Oh well I won't complain. My first Ultra Rare platinum trophy. Looking forward to playing the sequel and finding a copy of Orcs and Men. Edited February 28, 2018 by XIRCHRAD-

Game has got some really bad reviews but its really not that bad. Its a point and click cinematic adventure with a decent yet strange enough story. A few collectibles which can be mopped up easily enough with a guide. Overall well worth a look especially if picked up on a sale. Overall 5/10 enjoyment with a 2/10 for difficultly
