Popular Post TraumaticChain6
#51: Rogue Trooper Redux Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Rarity: 16,73% I enjoyed playing Rogue Trooper Redux but it had some flaws. Sometimes Rogue (the main character) didn't want to use cover and sometimes refused to throw a grenade. Also there is no reload button, the game does this automatic but it takes a long time and does it mostly when you have no ammo left in your gun. This can create situation where you need to switch to a different weapon really quick but while toggeling you come across a gun that needs reloading and so the reloading starts, leaving you vulnerable to enemies. I also had the feeling that some enemies were bulletsponges and others just died after a few shots. I liked the story in the beginning but at the later chapters I sometimes had no idea what was happening. This game is based on a comic so I problably missed information from there but it would have been nice if the story had been fleshed out a little bit more in game. There is also an encyclopedia on the world and characters in the game but you can only look at it from the extra menu. Some of the levels were really fun and there were some great music tracks. I also liked that you need to salvage enemies to create bullets and medkits. This creates a little tension to not waste bullets. You can also find salvage spots in the levels that give a lot of salvage. The trophies are easy but they require some grind. The online trophies can all be unlocked solo but it makes it a little bit harder. I recommend the game but not at full price thanks to it's flaws. I think it's time that Rebellion gives our blue rogue trooper a sequel!

Popular Post Carol
#150 Far Cry 3: Classic Edition Mastered the Jungle Obtain all the Trophies. Far Cry 3 is Ubisoft at its best. It's a very complete experience that offers everything that I like in a game. It has jungle, it has beaches, ocean, temples, relics, mysticism, action, stealth, adventure... How could this not be one of my favourite PS3 games? I greatly enjoyed it when I played it some years ago, when it was offered on PS Plus and now I got the PS4 version as part of the FC5 season pass. I thought this great game deserved a place in my milestones, so here it is as my 150th platinum. I totally recommend this game. It's a game with a lot of soul, it's one of the best games by Ubisoft and the best FC game. The platinum is also easy and enjoyable. The island is beautiful and fun to explore. Playing this game again reminded me why the PS3 will always be the best console for me. PS3 games were amazing.
Popular Post Cleggworth
I've not posted anything about my plats recently and I didn't want to post the mother of all status updates so I thought I'd start posting here again starting with.... Platinum #242 Marvel's Spiderman This game is spectacular. It looks absolutely incredible and it's been a while since I've played something that felt as satisfying as simply swinging around New York in this. I never really associated with Spiderman at all in any movie or game I've played before this as he's always been a bit dorky for my taste but this older more experienced Spiderman just worked for me. The story was pretty simplistic and every big moment you could see coming a mile off but I just didn't care. The road to the platinum was a different story. It has the same problem all open world games have with their trophy lists. Once you are done with the story everything else is very very repetitive. Everything you love about the game you start to enjoy a little less until it just grates on you. In this it's street crimes. There's just way too many with very little variation. The DLC was again excellent, great little story, upping the difficulty nicely from the main game but along with that came another 40+ street crimes which I was already totally bored with. I still enjoyed my time with this game but it wasn't quite perfect Platinum #243 Resogun Now this is a truly great game. I found it be very challenging at first, I left it unfinished for 5 years! I came back to it as part of my current improve my completion% push. It's still tough but never felt totally undoable this time around. It reminded me a little of death mode from soundshapes but without the luck factor. You will get the 1CC trophy if you stick with it long enough. I've not got the 100% on it as I'm waiting for a sale on the DLC bit I'm looking forward to getting back to it and finishing it up if I can Platinum #244 Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag I'll get the bad out of the way first. The Multiplayer. This game is a classic example of what people mean when they talk about "tacked on multiplayer" it's pointless, boring and takes hours from your life you ain't getting back. Thankfully most of that is playing Wolfpack solo. A short venture online to pick up some of the modes needed got me a death threat and my parents a threat of rape.... So that didn't help improve my opinion on it. Boosted the MP DLC with a couple of guys in about 20 mins so that was positive at least As for the single player? Love it. Edward is from my home town of Swansea for a start which doesn't happen in videogames often, if ever. Pretty cool to hear characters speak in accents I hear every day. The conversations between him and Bartholomew Roberts about being Welsh were hilarious. I'd finished pretty much everything 5 years ago when I first played it apart from the 100% sync trophy. I'd lost my save since then so had to start from scratch but it didn't bother me as I had a great time playing through it again. Freedom cry was completely new to me however. It's more of the same which was good so I had no complaints. The best thing for me was the piracy\naval combat aspect rather than the assassin side of things so I'm not sure if I'll play any newer games from the series. I could see myself playing the standalone freedom cry which I got free on plus if I fancy getting my pirate on once again though Platinum #245 Metro Last Light It's a bit wonky in places but I think it's mostly just a case of it starting to show it's age. Miller's beard is laughable, there's only 5 human enemies recycled over and over again etc. I like the post apocalyptic setting, it's one of my favourite genres, I also like that it's a little different, Russian instead of American and everyone living underground is a neat idea too. It's drab, it's depressing they've done a good job making the world. I'd go so far as to say this is a good game. The trophies are an absolute pain in the arse though. Classic case of trophies spoiling a game. You can't chapter select the collectibles which is totally unforgivable in my eyes. I abandoned it for 3 years because I was so annoyed at missing something and having to replay the whole game again. The redemption trophy is a pain as you need to accrue moral points to get the good ending and some of them are really finicky to get them to register. A conversation doesn't count unless you stand in the right spot that kind of thing and there's literally hundreds of them. Really slows down progress to a snails pace. Then there's shadow ranger. Don't kill anybody. The game autosaves to your only save file as soon as you kill someone so your playthrough can be ruined in an instant. You can upload to the cloud of course but it's got that bizzare "can only download once a day " thing going on making that utterly pointless. Then there's the fact that there is no definitive answer anywhere on what counts as a kill so the whole playthrough is just way more nerve-wracking than it needs to be. Thankfully I dodged all the most commonly accused shadow ranger killers and got the trophy on my first real attempt. In case you are wondering, I only killed the flamethrower and his shield buddies at the end ? I've got some DLC left to finish up including the developer pack which is the laziest dlc I've ever played and yet another playthrough for ranger hardcore. If I ever run out of anything to play I'll give 2033 or exodus a go.....maybe.... Edited February 23, 2019 by Cleggworth
Popular Post Viper
#152 Far Cry 3: Classic EditionMastered the Jungle It was great to relive this game. There's just something about this game, this charm it has that each Far Cry since hasn't been able to recapture. The series is still fun, but this is the real gem of the franchise. I just don't remember the fall damage being so bad, and they could have touched up the driving mechanics...but it was worth playing again. Popular Post Dauersack
#23: Hero of the Day Well, this was different. Originally my number 23 platinum was supposed to be the ultra rare platinum of The Forest, but since two of the gold trophies bugged out and are most likely not possible to obtain for me until the game gets patched, I thought I deserved an easy plat after some of my latest plats were so frustrating. Adam's Venture was on my low priority buy list, meaning I do not actively follow the game but if I see it dirt cheap on some sale I pick it up. I haven't done much research about the game, believe it or not but the game has quite a few positive reviews, which is pretty much all of what I looked up. It looked like a low budget Uncharted to me and I thought for the 2,99€ it was on sale for a while ago I could do nothing wrong. So how is the game? It is objectively bad, no one can argue with that. It controls badly, it looks terrible, the puzzles are simplistic, the dialogues and bad story leave the impression that it was written by a 9 year old who only had the bible and the Uncharted games to steal from, and the very cheap main character Nathan Drake ripoff Adam comes off as downright dimwitted(not in an endearing way) and you want to strangle him after just a few sentences. If I had known that it was this trashy, I would not have bought it, but that is what you get if you trust crappy "games journalists" who give games like this 7,5/10, lesson learned. Do I really regret buying and playing it though? No I don't, for a few simple reasons. First of all the game had the common decency to be short and easy, with no things to make life frustrating, no hard sections, no bugs worth mentioning except some very funny glitches, so it did not overstay its welcome which is great given the fact that it had nothing to support a longer playtime. Second my expectations were already rather low, I knew this game was no masterpiece, which is why I wanted to buy it on sale. Hard to really get disappointed with low expectations. Third is because the game made me laugh more than most other games in years. I am not kidding, the story may fall apart and make no sense but the crappy dialogue and some of the shittiest and cringiest voice acting I ever witnessed were over the top comedy gold. Unintentionally so I imagine, but if you ever get bored just watch the cutscenes and dialogues in an let's play or something, it has this hilarious c-movie charm as long as you do not take it seriously in any way, especially the boss fight. The last and biggest reason why the game did not piss me off was because as I said, I got it semi blindly for 2,99€, which is pretty much what the game is actually worth. I feel 5€ is too much and I would have already been pissed a bit with that price. Whatever poor soul paid more than 5€ for this game has my sympathy, and I may quietly laugh about their anger because I would have thrown a tantrum too in that situation. So, this is not a prestigious platinum or one I am proud to have, but fuck it, it is only my third common plat and given how I tortured myself for some of my last plats and how annoyed I was by the buggy shitlist that is The Forest platinum, I just take this thing and run with it. Some solid classic Ps2 action is next, time for Destroy All Humans 2!

My initial mesmerization towards this game was high off the geiger counter, but it had a very short half life when the game froze every 15 minutes. Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Rime I had such high hopes for this game ...I still liked it but man those collectibles were a huge pain the ass. This game has stunning visuals, a haunting score and a not original story..but a well told one. The problem was the pacing was completely thrown off by hunting down all those dumb collectibles with 0 maps and scenery that looked very samey after while. I just wish directors would get it through their heads that collectibles and unfun mini games throw off the pace of a game and just serve to piss off the players. The game is still worth playing but I really wish we could stop having these things thrown into games that really really don't need them.

Popular Post Desmuria
#156 - Queen's Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past Platinum Unlock every Trophy. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Choo-choo, all aboard the Artifex Mundi train! This is their first release for 2019 and I was super excited when they announced it on their Instagram. I found it slightly odd that they were releasing the second Queen's Quest, so I contacted them about it. They said that due to "license reasons" they couldn't release the first Queen's Quest for PS4/Xbox One, so they've had to jump to the second one. The game itself was pretty fun! Compared to the other games they've released lately, there are so many hidden object puzzles and the trophies were much easier. It's just a little more time-consuming, but I didn't mind that one bit. I love Artifex Mundi games and I'm ravenous for moooooore. If you haven't tried an Artifex Mundi game yet, I recommend starting with Nightmares from the Deep. It's a blast! #157 & #158 - Access Denied Platinum Hacker Get all the trophies Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 (with guide), 6/10 (without) This is such a cute puzzle game! I played one level on my PS4 and then repeated it on my PS Vita, so my platinum unlocks are at the same time. I've used this tactic before (with Twin Robots) and it helps to repeat the level, rather than having to remember how you solved it. Some of the levels are pretty straight-forward, and others are downright horrible. I will admit that I used a guide for some of them. Especially level 19. What a dickhole of a level. If you like puzzles and problem-solving, this game is for you! The controls on the PS Vita were frustrating, to say the least. I'm just happy they put a zoom option in, or I would've given up. #159 & #160 - Drowning Drowning Platinum Good job! Completed all tasks! Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 1/10 This is a lovely walking simulator with a low-poly look which has a deep, powerful and moving story. A teenage boy discovers he has depression whilst attending school and this game goes through the motions of how he feels and copes. The game itself is beautifully drawn and the music is so solemn. It's very much like Everybody's Gone to the Rapture with its gameplay, with text popping up as you walk around. The game has a few items to collect as you walk around, but they're easily found if you pay attention (or use a guide). There are four hidden endings to find and then the platinum is yours. I managed to complete both runs (PS4 and PS Vita) in just over an hour. The new version of the game added a "Skip Scene" option, which reduces obtaining the platinum by A LOT. If you liked the style of Virginia or if you've been lucky enough to play Massira yet (I really want to play it), then this game will be right up your alley. Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
God of War III Remastered - PS4 (#179) "King of the Hill" Continuing my journey through the bloody re-telling of Greek mythology, this game seems to mark the end of the storyline. I suspect the most recent God of War starts off with Kratos waking up from this bloody mess on his way to wreck Norse mythology. This one is by the far the most epic story from the original trilogy. It starts with the Titans climbing Olympus to end the Gods. The Gods here are presented like a variation of the league of superheroes, even as they are looking down at the advancing Gaia. The battles are awesome, showcasing the power of each God and the brutality of Kratos. The opening sequence against Poseidon definitely set the tone for the rest of the game. The story also marks a shift in narrative, by adding a foil in the form of Pandora. Again, it becomes obvious where the God of War found its inspiration for Atreus and the "Father and Son" concept. You see a glimmer of humanity under the buckets of blood that cover Kratos. The combat evolved by providing 4 types of weapons to use interchangeably with their own style, instead of defaulting to the blades and having a secondary weapon to trigger. The use of magic is diminished, which places a larger emphasis on the combat, using particular combos to succeed against the hordes you face or against the boss. The puzzles seemed easier than previous games, although that might just be due to my practice of running through these games in rapid succession. I must say I am very glad to be able to save scum thru the labyrinth, clearing that in one go without dying or failing would have been a nightmare, specially due to the spinning room of hordes and spikes. I absolutely loved playing, beating, and getting the platinum in this game. I am now halfway to my goal of finishing the original Greek story arc. I understand the remaining games are on the lesser side, so this might be the pinnacle of my enjoyment. If for whatever reason you have never given this franchise a try, do it! It is all playable on the PS3 and if you no longer have a PS3, it is all on PS NOW, at least in the NA territory.
Popular Post Nostalgy_Flow
#64: Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of MemoriesDifficulty: 3/10Slowly I'm catching up with the series, after playing and loved the first KH, it was the moment of CoM, which unfortunately I didn't like very much. I appreciated that they wanted to try to make a gameplay totally different from the usual based on a system with cards, but unfortunately there was nothing to do for me, I didn't enjoyed it at all. The platinum took me more or less like the first, about 46 hours, of which about 10 I think only to grind the maximum level of Riku... it was really annoying, also because its story lasts much less than Sora's, and basically the time you spend with him will be pretty much grinding xp.Luckily here on PS4 the difficulties trophies are stackable, so all the mandatory runs that were on PS3 are no longer needed.I did everything directly on Proud, and except for some bosses, I had no problems at all, also thanks to the really useful guide here on PSNP.A note for the trophy to get all Sora's cards. There's a very recent method (I didn't saw it even on the trophy guides), to force the drop of practically all the enemies's cards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsHpXR8CwGU.I recommend you absolutely use it because otherwise you will lengthen the platinum. With the Neoshadow, however, I found that it doesn't work, so you have to get it normally, but however while grinding the last levels of Sora, you will automatically get more than one of them, at least it was so for me.
Popular Post GarciaFever
#186 Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal This was such an enjoyable game to play and platinum after taking a bit of a break from DBFZ that, even though I just skipped all of the dialogue, I had a blast when I started hacking away at the enemies like I was a lawnmower. Even the plot was great I bought the Chinese copy, so at first I didn't think there was anything different between this and the NA version, until I saw that not only are the lists separate, but I managed to kiss Homura for a trophy : Even with the lack of knowledge in Chinese, the trophies are super easy to get, and are by far the easiest in the Senran Kagura series. There are some collectables, but nothing is missable since you can do mission select. Lastly, I managed to become the 14th fastest achiever with a platinum time of 11 hours and 29 minutes. Not bad for a game that you can finish in about half a day.

Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
And finally the last platinum trophies! Nos. 105 & 106 Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 What an appetite! I played Asterix games on different consoles: Asterix and the Secret Mission (the glorious Sega Master System ?... I was stuck in the snow level with Asterix simply because I didn't manage to perform a simple run+double jump...), Asterix (PS1, some kind of turn-based strategical games where you have to move your troops in order to free the different regions of the France conquered by Romans), and another one on the Game Boy Color (but I remember you were looking for the dog Idefix). I borrowed it from a friend of mine. Well, it’s a short game with a lot of fun, and it’s full of quotations from other games ?: Rayman, Sonic, Tekken 3 & 4, Tomb Raider, Super Mario, Tetris, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and surely other games I missed or forgot. The collectibles are really easy to find, but the only annoying issue was due to three crashes of the game during the last challenges, so I changed the difficulty to normal, since it was becoming annoying. ? But the game card is really ugly. I completely agree with @TurtlePM about this: the Xbox version has the cover artwork, while the PS4 one has the 3D characters models, and a lot of azure void. Unfortunately in my country I found it only on Amazon and Ebay, and it’s quite expensive (50 €) for this PS2 remaster, and maybe this is the reason for the little number of players. Give it a chance with a huge price drop, and smash these crazy Romans! ? Ys: Memories of Celceta Timeless adventurer All the three Ys games completed! ? Good story, amazing characters (especially Karna and Frieda ?), wonderful soundtrack, funny dialogues and cutscenes: Adol is arrested every time he enters (again) in a town (and every time he did nothing wrong); Adol’s grave and the decision of dig it up with the living owner (according to Duren); Duren’s dialogue in the inn: “Hey, Adol, look at Karna’s [injured] legs… No, not in that way, you pervert!” The combat system is similar to the one used in Ys VIII (but you can’t jump!) and I really like exploring an unknown land, harvest everything I found in the area and complete the map. A note about the allies’ AIs: they're crazy (like the Romans of the previous game)! Sometimes they don’t attack (and they are on offensive mode, not defensive), sometimes one of the two start running in circle, or, even better, both start dancing in circle, and you are the only one who is fighting. “Hey guys, we are not on Just Dance. So stop dancing and start killing these freaking flan monsters in the Underground Ruins!” And also characters fusion. Strange things happen in Celceta… Not only memory loss. Anyway, this is my personal classification: Ys Origin >= Ys VIII > Ys: Memories of Celceta. And I don’t mean it’s the worst, because they are all great RPG. Simply it’s short (I obtained the platinum trophy with 38 hours) and I’m not a great fan of the NG+: at least I picked different dialogues just to see something new… And there are three new amazing weapons test! Now I’m waiting for the PS4 porting (announced a couple of weeks ago). ?
Popular Post Jelloycat
Platinum #71 - Code: Realize - Wintertide Miracles Well, that's the newest and last game in the series so far! It was a lot of fun playing through all the games in a row, though now I'm kind of sad that I don't have any more to read. I'm sure I'll go back and get the PS4 version later down the line so I can re-read it again. Overall a really nice visual novel series with some fun characters. Popular Post Zach
#125 and 100% Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time: 35hrs (Including DLC) A great ending to the series. Battles were epic and the graphics were better than ever. My only complaint is that the story was lacking this time. I completely understand that there wasn't much to tell at this point and that it needed to be stretched out a bit to make the last game, but still felt really short in a way. I feel like this game was slightly harder to platinum than 3 because the last few battles were hard to S rank, unlike 3's final boss battle being the only hard one to S rank. Storm 3 and 4 are definitely tied for my favorite titles in the series. Edited February 25, 2019 by Zach
