Popular Post Squirlruler
#62 Fallout: New Vegas - Platinum Trophy So this is probably going to hold the record for longest platinum for me for a while. Lol. 8 years, 5 months. ( To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day ) Originally stopped playing because I was not looking forward to doing the multiple endings, since they are all very similar with minimal changes. ( Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say ) Then I lost my save file when lightning stuck my apartment several years back. ( No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip ) So a few years ago, I decided to pick it up again and started going through my hardcore playthrough. ( The stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip ) Got to the point of no return and made save files. ( Big iron on his hip ) Then, I don't remember why, I stopped playing. ( It was early in the morning when he rode into the town ) Anyway, FF to now, finished up the endings, and played through all the DLC. ( He came riding from the south side slowly lookin' all around ) Old World Blues is one of the best DLC's I have played. ( "He's an outlaw, loose and running," came the whisper from each lip ) Muggy is the best robot hahaha. Biggest complaint with it, is that when I got the disc with the DLCs the game ran like 10x shittier. ( "And he's here to do some business with the big iron on his hip" ) About once an hour I would have to either restart the PS3 or the game since it would freeze up or just be unplayably laggy. It happened without the DLCs but at a much less frequent rate. ( Big iron on his hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip ) I do wish there was more music, since it seemed like I heard every song a million times. Lol. Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty : 2/10 Old World Blues DLC: 10/10 Edit: It was just pointed out to me that I am the literal slowest person on the leaderboard to obtain the 100% lmao Edited March 18, 2019 by Squirlruler
zizimonster
#63 The Count Lucanor It feels like a blend of Silent Hill and Yume Nikki -- monsters lurking in dark hallways, and puzzles await. Plus, I always enjoy playing "pixelated" video games, so I consider this a good game. Tenebre Castle surely is worth a visit.

There is zero margin for error in that game, 1 centimetre out and you're toast, and that's no exaggeration. Thanks. Haha yeah both in game and real calories were plentifuly consumed during this plat, though I didn't have to eat flies luckily ?. (Also Grat on the Plat sounds like a trophy reward scheme PlayStation should do, has a nice ring to it)
Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
#123: MURDERED: SOUL SUSPECT Moving On Collected every trophy in the game I found this game really repetitive and boring, the whole demons part wasn't really necessary because they are simple to kill and represent no challenge, the story is highly predictable and the game it's full of collectibles. The good point: it's a short game and the platinum picture looks good.

Popular Post SoapMacTavish222
#325 Shadow of The Tomb Raider for PS4. Just was clearing up my backlog. I started this game awhile ago and already beat it but just finished my playthrough on Deadly Obsession which wasn't ridiculously difficult, especially if you do NG+ and carry all your skills over. Now I will burn through the DLCs so I can 100% it. I really enjoyed the story but Rise of The Tomb Raider is still my favorite out of this new trilogy they have done.
Popular Post IisPAD9
Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - 3/17/2019 I didn't really plan on going for this Platinum when I first started the game a few months ago but I kinda liked the combat and I really liked the story. Plus I was at Level 69 on Sora and Level 57 on Riku when I finished both stories. Decided to might as well go for it. Pretty grindy but it felt fulfilling and satisfying to get this Kingdom Hearts platinum out of the way and to never touch this game again.
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #185: Bully (March 10th, 2019) Difficulty: 3/10 Excitement Rating: 6/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 25 Hours Hardest Trophy: Kleptomania (Acquire all room trophies) Bully is a 2006 Playstation 2 classic from Rockstar Games, developed by Rockstar Vancouver. Jimmy Hopkins is a 15 year old miscreant who was expelled from several schools. Her mother takes her to Bullworth Academy, a school where just about every stereotype lives. It is here where Jimmy makes a name for himself and earns respect amongst the various bullies of the school. Right off the bat, I noticed that Bully hasn't exactly aged the best. I normally don't harp on graphics since I don't judge most games based on their graphics, but here in Bully they are rather muddled and dark. The controls don't have the fluid motion that most newer games do, which is a sign that I'm playing an older game from the Playstation 2 era. In retrospect, Bully would of been a game that garnered no complaints from me, had I played this back in 2006. Sadly I never really got around to fully playing this game, and while the overall theme holds up to this day, the gameplay mechanics haven't aged all too well. Bully is basically a toned down version of Grand Theft Auto. If you played Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas you know what to expect from Bully as the mission structure is almost exactly the same. There is the standard side content including collectibles which I felt were quite useless. Bully doesn't have the sheer violence and outright cussing of Grand Theft Auto, but it still provides a somewhat decent job in providing amusement. Jimmy Hopkins can pull wedgies, shove kids into lockers, throw stink bombs and water balloons, and beat up unsuspecting bullies. There are authority figures such as prefects and later cops that haul you in if they see you causing trouble. Sometimes this earns you a visit to the principals office, who forces you to mow the lawn or shovel out mounds of snow as punishment. At times I felt this was annoying, as you automatically fail a mission if you get caught. I enjoyed the story. Bully maintains the quirky, whimsical, outlandish style with their characters and script Rockstar Games is known for that started with Grand Theft Auto 3. The story is broken up into chapters that focus on beating up and earning respect from a particular group of bullies. In one chapter you're up against a group of rich, spoiled preppies, in another chapter you are to help the geeky, awkward nerds against the boasting jockeys. Jimmy is a kid set on stopping the bullies from bullying him, and he pulls all the tricks we learned in high school movies and television shows to reach his goal. It took me 15 hours to play through the story. Unfortunately I had to spend a good 10 - 11 hours grinding out the rest of the trophies, and half of them I felt were just there to purely pad the game. Skateboarding for 50 kilometers, walk/run for 100 kilometers and biking for 100 kilometers serves no real purpose than to extend the length of the time. Bully's trophy list is full of grinding, and while the game isn't as long as any of the Grand Theft Auto's or Red Dead Redemption, I would of enjoyed this game more if I didn't have to spend so much doing the same things over and over and over. Bully is a good game overall, but it's dated mechanics and looks make it not so appealing anymore. It never gets old to see a fat nerd get a wedgie or throw a stink bomb at a cop. To me it's just a game I'm glad to have done, and looking at the Playstation 2 Grand Theft Autos, I can see that they are more of the same. I'm not sure if I'm going to pick those games up, since they too haven't aged the best. Edited March 19, 2019 by Spaz

Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
Yoku's Island Express - PS4 (#185) Wow. What an unexpected success mixing of genres. I am not sure how someone decided to marry the metroidvania game style with pinball mechanics, but the union is great. Gone are the slew of enemies to conquer and the platforming difficulties, replaced by a few Boss pinball tables and several puzzles to master on others. Your characters is limited in motion, in that you cannot jump forcing you to figure out how to navigate the map efficiently. True to the metroidvania style there are several collectibles and power ups which assist and unlock these collectibles. You do not need to find them all to finish, although there are two endings based on clearing all of the Wickerlings. Mercifully, the game does allow for a few locations of fast travel to speed up traversal and ultimately you can also find maps and un-vealing items to assist in tracking down these collectibles. The game has plenty of style and character, showing that the developers were confident in the core of their game to add flair. It is a downright charming, simple little game. And it is probably that which is its weakest aspect, it feels just a tad too short. Maybe one more area or a deeper use of color change mechanic probably would have made this an unqualified success. If you at all enjoy simple metroidvania games or just want to try something refreshing, give this little gem a try.

Popular Post madbuk
#305 - Dragon's Dogma Now this is a platinum I never thought I'd see the day that I obtained it. I played this when it first came to PS+ in 2013, and got to the main city of the game, Gran Soren, before dropping it. I just wasnt enjoying it much. Over the years I have returned to it again and again, but it never captured me and, before a few days ago, I never earned a trophy after the initial 2013 play. On a whim, I decided to go back to this using @Dragon-Archon's pawn (and his great trophy guide), to see if I could possibly get it done and deleted and out of the way. I finally managed to stick with it. Did I enjoy it? Well... Everything about this game just struck me as bland, really. Bland, generic fantasy setting, dull story, remarkably ugly graphics (which isn't a big deal, but it was still striking for such a big AAA game. Early PS3 days I suppose.) Combat felt absolutely awful until I respeced out of Warrior and into Assassin. It's remarkable how much better that made combat feel. And then once I finally obtained a bow, it just got even better. There are a lot of enemies in this game that I have no idea how you're supposed to kill without ranged attacks, and some vocations dont have access to bows, so idk what they're supposed to do. Rely on their pawns I guess. Even after becoming an Assassin and acquiring a bow, it still wasnt really anything special and I'm a bit baffled by all the posts I see about the 'amazing gameplay' this has to offer tbh. I felt like I must've done something horribly wrong. Especially late-game, I was doing so little damage that I barely saw health bars of enemies decrease, and it felt like I had to rely on my pawns to do the work for me. I can't have been underleveled, I was doing every side quest, and I was changing my equipment regularly. I don't know what went wrong there. Feels great to be done with this after so many years of failed attempts to get hooked and see it through to the end. This is tied as my longest completion, at 5 years 5 months, with Burnout Paradise. I may have cheesed the game with Dragon's pawn (and @Avatar_Of_Battle's pawn joined my party during NG+ to help speed that run up too), but after so many years of attempts I dont really care much, and I understand if people want to judge me for it tbh.
Popular Post Z-Yux
Platinum #62: Watch Dogs 2. Compared to the first game in the series, I think this one surpasses it in almost every bit in terms of gameplay and story. I just felt that this one is more fleshed out entirely compared to its prequel. As for the trophies, it isn't too terribly difficult and nowhere near as grindy as its predecessor. Popular Post Silencer0004
#131 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Difficulty: 5.5/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 (Platinum Rating)* *The game itself is a 9.5/10. However, there are a few sections that are just stupid trial & error on veteran. Also, the "Best of the Best" trophy is one of the most annoying trophies I've ever unlocked. I rarely had so little fun and afterwards it didn't feel like a success at all.
Popular Post Baker
#211 Vesperia Master Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Total playtime: 125 hours My 8th Tales of platinum and I think this is just outside of my top 3 of favorite Tales games. Although I understand why many say it’s the best one. These games have become my favorite current JRPG franchise. (nothing can ever beat the golden era of FF). I went for a semi blind playthrough first, only following the subevent guide and I think that was the right choice. This game has many missables and this way I managed to only miss 5 enemy entries which I could do on my speedrun. Now what is the fun again of a speedrun in games like this? Skipping every conversation, cutscene and movie? That’s right, absolutely nothing. This why I gave it a 8/10 instead of a 9/10 for enjoyment, because the game is a blast.
