Popular Post snakebit10
#270 Shenmue Full Cabinet This is my first time playing the series. Just like on PS3, a lot of the remasters of older games I missed out on. I was so into Madden back in the older generation of consoles I missed a lot of these series that have been remastered. I can see why Shenmue was considered to be revolutionary I started back in October but got kind of bored of how slow time passed in the game. I wanted to finish off a game seeing it is the middle of March and hadn't got a platinum this month. So yesterday I decided to give this another try and finished it in less than a days time. I'll play the second game soon and I will be interested to see how the 3rd game will turn out.
Popular Post StiffTripple_X
Plat #51 Black Mirror Got this game on sale thankfully for 8 dollars. This game is definitely not worth 40 dollars it is rather short, the graphics are terrible, half the game is loading, and the people’s mouths just move randomly whenever anyone is talking. The story to the game is not bad at all but the execution is not very good. At one point it took a minute of loading just for a cut scene that said 3 words then immediately went to another loading screen. The story is this games only saving grace. Popular Post Bullstomp
Sniper: Ghost Warrior "Collector" Ultra Rare - 1.63% Difficulty: 9 (mostly due to glitches/ inconsistent gameplay) Fun Factor: 4 (mostly due to glitches/inconsistent gameplay) At it's core, this is a solid sniper experience. The game's graphics are extremely dated but the slow mo kills are pretty sweet. There are two things that kill the experience: a long online grind on dead servers and inconsistent, glitchy gameplay. For instance, on the trophy "Unnoticed" I ran that mission at LEAST 20 times where I felt I met the conditions of the trophy but didn't get it. I just kept trying and, ironically, on a mission where an enemy noticed and shot at me yet didn't sound an alarm, it popped? At this point you risk a lot trying for this one, due to online MP trophies and inconsistent trophies, but I honestly had fun with it. Full disclosure though: now that I'm done with the plat I'll probably never play it offline again . . .

Popular Post Varhur
#15 - God of War: Ascension Champion of the Gods Unlock all Trophies Well, well, well, ain't it the infamous God of War that's called "the worst"... Well, sadly, yeah, it is. It is by no means a bad game, i had fun while playing this. It's just the overhaul of the mechanics that we were used to, that made this, imo worse. Enemies were less of challenging and more of annoying - fighting Satyrs (generic "cannon fodder" enemy) when there was 5 or 6 of them boiled down to "grab, throw, repeat, maybe throw few strikes", otherwise you're waiting for the endless waves of attacks to stop, which doesn't really work, since it's endless. Other enemies were irritating with temporary immortality, especially Taloses (elemental statues with hammers). And camera being sometimes focused on the views rather than arena made some fights harder than they should be. Also, for God's sake, the change to parry! And one MP trophy that requires digital copy or season pass, otherwise, k, bye. But again, not by any means a bad game, fight with Castor and Pollux was amazing, same goes for Alecto in her final form (good thing I don't have thallassophobia), Amulet of Uroborus and Oath Stone of Orkos were great additions to Kratos's arsenal and World Weapons weren't too bad. But, it is easily visible that the gameplay was done more for multiplayer stuff, which God of War is not really. Well, now i'll have to wait for my physical copy of Lego The Hobbit to arrive and i'll try to get back here with that.

Popular Post SirDave1988
# 102 Spy Chameleon (PS4) All trophies earned Congratulations! I think this was a PS Plus game from back in mid-2017 that I'd started, enjoyed for a bit and then moved onto something else, kind of like the majority of my backlog. Decided to pick it back up again as I'm finishing old games up. Good lord, little did I know the challenge that was ahead of me!! The premise is simple:- Get from point A to point B while avoiding obstacles, cones of vision, motion-cameras and changing colour at certain points, hence the chameleon part, amongst other things. Sounds simple, right? Well, holy cow, does it ever get tough and millimetrically perfect when you get down to the challenges that the game offers, particularly the timed ones. Let's put it this way, no other plat I've done has made me do this as often as this one did:- Yeah, it wasn't easy haha, but glad I stuck at it and persisted, that's another one off the list. Apart from some of the challenges, I enjoyed it, it was different. If you are attempting this plat yourself, good luck. Oh, and video guides will be your best friend haha. Here's my end game stats too (Yeah, this game can be as quirky and weird as the stats show you Edited March 18, 2019 by SirDave1988

(Gold)- Sorceress' Lair: Defeat The Sorceress Another noble warrior falls victim to the plague of love... Toys For Bob did an excellent job with this trilogy and now I am finished, at least so far as trophies are concerned. Although the second outing remains my favourite, I very much enjoyed Year of the Dragon. Short and easy (they were really kids' games, after all) the games are still very enjoyable and stand as testament to the love that Insomniac put into the originals. I would be very interested to see if Toys For Bob would continue the saga with their own sequel to Reignited (just please don't bother remaking Enter the Dragonfly, that crap is beyond redemption!) Only had one trophy glitch but it was as simple as re-entering the level and completing the very simple requirements once more. Otherwise, everything pretty much came naturally to me and it was very satisfying to pop that last platinum. Now I have all the proper Spyro platinums (yeah, I know there's a Skylanders game but that hardly counts, right?) so it is time to go for something that will take a little bit longer, but not straying from the theme of Dragons...
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#246 - BioShock 2 Platinum Trophy Unlocked all trophies This is a game I played to death back on the Xbox 360 when it first came out. I want to say I did about 4 playthroughs and I got pretty into the multiplayer - it was a lot of fun! So... does this game hold up after all these years? I would certainly say so, yes. While it doesn't reach the masterpiece-tier that the original BioShock did, it's still an excellent game in its own right, and the various refinements to the formula make the gameplay here the best in the series. I absolutely love the fact that you play as an Alpha Big Daddy in this game - his design is so cool! This also allowed them to expand on the "escort" mechanic found towards the end of the original BioShock which changes things up. The story told here is also great, and I love the fact that your actions throughout the game shape what kind of person your "daughter" ends up being. One of the gameplay refinements I mentioned earlier is how you're now able to "dual wield" a weapon and plasmid in each hand at the same time. This makes the combat flow much better and I found myself using plasmids much more often. They also made hacking much less of a chore which was nice. I usually like saving the platinum until last when there are DLC trophies, but I managed to get the platinum in one playthrough, so here I am. I'll be tackling the DLC shortly. I've never played Minerva's Den before, so that'll be interesting. I hear it's very good.

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
213: Guacamastery And with that, I now have every Guacamelee platinum in existence. I was a big fan of the first one (as you can tell), so I knew I would eventually come around to this one. And it's good....ish. I mean, it's really just more of the same, which a good game sequel is, I guess. And the game kinda expects that you know that. What do I mean?? Well, the best example I can give is comparing it to Super Mario Galaxy 2; it's a sequel that you gives you a moment to take in the basics, but then starts to dial up the difficulty a bit faster than you'd expect, in a way noticeable only to those who have played the prior games. It's like expecting A-B-C but being surprised with A-C; not a huge leap, but again, for those who played the first, you will most likely pick up on it. But hey, nothing I couldn't do in under a week (there was a bit of a time-gap from when I started it and left it, to when I came back and finished it). One thing I DIDN'T appreciate was the story and writing. Honest question, was the first one this bad when it came to its jokes? I know silly cringey humor was a part of the first game, but I can't recall any instance where the game would halt for minutes on end so a character could try again and again desperately to land a joke. It's like the writers were so proud of every joke that they said "No. No editing. We keep them ALL in" That in turn really screws over the main story. Again, the first one was by no means a super serial tale, but it did have it moments where it took things seriously, so that you could care about a character and their situation. Here, every character has some wacky thing to say damn near every time they get some dialogue in, so that when the couple (like, literally 2) serious moments come about, I was like "yeah, whatever", and even THEN they can't even commit to it, because they'll end it with a lame one liner. But still, it was fun, just not really a game changer or even series changer; just more of the same. I certainly won't say NO to a 3rd game, I am kinda less interested in one now, because I really can't see how one would be without being super redundant. 212: The Absolute World Honestly, I don't really know what to say about this one. It's been out for years, we've all seen it in action, we know how visually awesome it looks, and yes, it looks freakin awesome. I just don't know what else to say, because I'm not really a fighting game fan. I can't say much about the story, because in the tradition of Arc System games, it's damn near impenetrable for newcomers. I can't say much about the fighting, because I just did what I could to plat it, and didn't take much of an appreciation for fighting games out of it. The content? Well, there are some superficial modes that are obviously just padding, with setup and rules I just don't get or even care to. ....Why did I play this? I could've just watched youtube vids for the visuals or stop by my local anime arcade, so why did I invest time in it? The plat isn't even that good looking. *sigh* One day I'll learn. Learn to avoid games I don't care about past a superficial level and just play ones I genuinely want to, like-- PS4 211: Platinum Thief Like this one!! It was fun o the Vita, and was fun on the PS4 (and maybe even slightly easier, with more buttons and a bigger controller to work with). If only they'd put it on the PS3, then I'd have another trifecta!
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #168 Deiland PRINCE You have been awarded the PRINCE trophy. Kinda lame platinum image. I mean it fits the story, sorta. But there are bigger versions of the crystal in the story. You literally see it on the banner on PSNP page for the game. They could've did an image of that instead and it would be less "eh". Oh well. The descriptions of the trophies were dumb as hell. Probably some of the worst trophy descriptions ever. Generally they tell you or hint at how to unlock them. They don't usually tell you that you're unlocking the trophy you can see you're unlocking... because that's redundant. Yes, I'm aware I just unlocked the trophy Prince. You didn't need to tell me that. I digress... on to the game itself. This game didn't even pop the trophy for me. Which was odd. It unlocked fine. Obviously, but after I got the last (fishing) trophy I waited for the plat to pop... and nothing. I immediately went to check and it had unlocked... but since it didn't pop ingame there was no screenshot. So that's always fun. It would've been a frowning fish anyway, but still. I quite liked the story and characters. It was interesting, and set itself up for sequels. So things weren't really resolved, probably the only thing I didn't like about the story. Music was pretty good, but for some reason there are no options in the game to adjust audio volume. Not even basic on/off like tons of mobile ports have. I wanted to love this, but there's a lot of little annoyances which make the building and farming aspects super annoying and tedious. And the combat is simply terrible. You can literally lock an enemy against a rock as you're juuuust far enough that your attacks still hit (there's knock back) and they just sit there until they die. And when I say just far enough away, I mean like... a really huge gap between both of you. And it's melee attacks with a hoe/axe... not like a whip which at least would make sense given the distance. Or you hit them and they get knocked out of aggro range (which is insanely small) so they will just stand there while you heal or cast magic to kill them. It's not a surprise they hit like a truck given that they otherwise wouldn't have a point. The way you place things is somewhat freeing coming off things like Slime Rancher (set nodes for different things) and Farm Rancher (works on tiles, so everything is very square and limited). In this you can freely place anything so long as it's not too close. Unless they attach, like fencing. The problem is... you easily get stuck on things. I noticed this very early on as there were small rocks littered around your small planet and I would constantly get stuck on them. Until I removed them by mining them. Sadly the larger rocks couldn't be removed. You also get stuck on your fences and even the gates meant to open so you can get to them and keep your crops safe from enemies. (I never had them get to them, because I built the fences. But sometimes they spawn right near them so I didn't want to risk it). The gates also don't register you're next to them if you just entered them and try to get back out. You have to move away and then toward it again. This issue is also present for when a crop or flower changes states. So if it goes from being unharvestable to harvestable and you were standing there watching the seconds count down, you have to move away and back just to interact with it. It's really annoying. Beyond that you plant trees and bushes, which produce seeds and fruits. They fall off or shoot off any which way and there's no real rhyme or reason to it. Often times they'll get stuck in a position that you can't actually pick them up. it's hard to navigate the world when you place things too closely together. So the fact you can do that is kind of marred. You may as well be doing a grid system where they take 1x1 space, or 1x2 or 2x2, etc. It would at least be more useable and consistent. Oh and before I forget, the way you place things down is awkward as well. It moves where your character does. Which makes fine movements literally impossible. The only adjusting you can do without totally screwing it is to move it around you with the right stick. You move an inch backwards and you simply turn the entire thing around to the other side. I really don't understand why it works this way. I'm not sure I'm describing it well, but trust me it's awkward. I had to constantly run back and forth just to move a fence forward slightly so it wouldn't be in the way. The way the story progresses, or game itself with adding new things to do, is very tedious as well. It's somewhat random in that you have to wait for ships to fly by and then let them land (you have to manually land them somewhere or they fly off). And, enemies are random too so getting certain drops is hard to do. I had to get some horns, no problem. I got the enemy type right away. Unfortunately my entire PS4 froze on me and I had to hard reset. The auto save is apparently not as frequent as I would expect, because it was quite a ways back and I didn't have my horns anymore. And it took 5 waves of enemies to finally get some horns again. And then I had to wait for the right ship to fly by just to turn it in. The only characters that this doesn't apply to are the more fun ones to do. Since you just need some fuel to go to, or to call directly in to see (this lady is the one who takes you off to where 3 other quest givers are). Also makes buying things a chore too. I wish the camera was further back behind you as well. Feels a bit cramped. And there's no way to move quicker, you move pretty slow for my tastes. The trophies are glitchy, as noted by the guide. I wasted a few hours trying to get the trophies to pop. Then got them in a few minutes after reverting my save. Though I did remote play with my full save for the fish trophy, since I had more money to buy bait. I had no idea how much I needed. I got one fish and got the plat. :/ I only needed 19 potions to pop that trophy on my old save, but I completely wiped out all my materials making tons of potions the first attempt. And for food, I didn't even use up all my milk before getting that trophy. The first try I got through all my milk (which would've made 30 cheese alone), and all my other food as well and nothing. What an annoyance. I don't understand why it's an issue. Luckily nothing else glitched and it wasn't hard to get them after. Overall the game was more tedious than I thought it would be due to all the random factors outside your control. I'm not going to bother to finish up the last quest I have to do, because I can't be bothered for the one ship to finally appear just to start it. And the ships only stay around a literal minute of time. And that includes all menu time, so if you're trying to make something and have to fiddle around too long then too bad. Wait for them to fly back around. Annoying. Oh, and worst of all it includes dialog time too. So as one person bathers on (that stupid cat; who every time she appears her stupid alien friend steals food if you don't 'catch' them) the other leaves so you can't turn in a quest. The game could have been really good, but it's just too flawed. If you're reading this and think of going for the plat, I'd recommend literally writing down every single thing you make and keeping track. So as soon as you go over the requirement, you close the game and reopen it and then see if one more after pops it for you. I think that might've been what the guide meant by "restart the game". Luckily my old save had plenty of materials on it so it wasn't a big deal to do it that way since I have two PS4s to rock 2 save files. But be prepared for the game to drag on. And for enemies to be the most annoying, and boring, part of it. I wouldn't outright say I dislike the game, I like what it was trying to do. It just didn't do it all that well.
Popular Post Caldor2K2
#114 - Ace Combat 7 I've been a fan of the Ace Combat series since it began in the arcades way back in 1992. I was excited when Ace Combat 7 was announced in December of 2015. After 3 years and a few delays, Ace Combat 7 finally came out on January 18th 2019. Luckily, most of the trophies were straight forward and not too much online was required. The grinding was boring but doable, while flying the 76,500 km was a major drag considering I'd keep falling asleep and crashing or flying out of bounds and my progress not counting. From a game play standpoint, Ace Combat 7 is not much different than its predecessors. Even the UI (User Interface) why flying is nearly identical in all games. After all the saying goes, if it works why change it, perfect example being the Dragon Quest series. Some new mechanics have been added to flying, while they were present in the older games actually do something now. Flying through the clouds was present before, but in Ace Combat 7 the clouds help evade missiles, reduces missile range and can ice up your plane causing it to stall easier. Other changes include wind turbulence which can be quite strong and blow your plane around in the sky to severe weather conditions. One major change that was made is how you go about unlocking aircraft. In the older games, simply completing certain missions normally, or by meeting a certain difficulty or rank requirement would unlock them or allow for purchase. Ace Combat 7 uses the Aircraft Tree, which was introduced in Ace Combat Infinity. To purchase new aircraft, you have to follow the "tree", and by doing so you have to buy all the parts leading to the next aircraft before you are allowed to buy it. Once purchase any part can be used for any plane, but going about things this way you'll have to plan you way carefully, even though you should have close to everything unlocked by the end of the story anyway. The storyline is probably one of Ace Combat 7's worst points. Watching the cutscenes really doesn't explain much,, nor do many of the campaign missions make any sense. It felt like they had a plan in place but somewhere along the way that plan got lost. The radio chatter throughout the campaign is done well, especially in the last few missions as it gives you an idea of how bad things have become. The music is excellent, as it usually is in the Ace Combat games. While not the best soundtrack of the series, each song plays its part well. For some odd reason, the multiplayer portion of Ace Combat 7 is as bare bones as you can get.. There are only 2 modes both deathmatch. Whether you want to fly solo against everyone else or team up is the question. Having spent over 1000 hours with Ace Combat Infinity, I had loads of fun with the co-op there, and was offended by the exclusion of co-op. Not that I am big on online play, and maybe I am missing the point but how hard could it be to fill up the provided maps with lots of enemies for the players to team up and destroy? Fortunately, you only have to play 100 games and win once in each mode so it's not like win 200 ranked games nonsense. Games are only 5 minutes long, or until someone scores 100k in Battle Royal, or the team scores 250k in Team Deathmatch. If you've never played a game from the flying genre or are looking for something new I'd say give this series a go. Unfortunately as it is now, this game is the only one readily available, most of the other games are on the PS2, PSP, one on the PS3 and one exclusive to the X360. Now a lot of times, you'll see the series get ripped by people simple because its not a "real" flight simulator game, and planes can carry 100 missiles and such. As I mentioned at the start it began as an arcade game and never tried to be realistic. Hell I've played a lot of PC flight sims back in the late 90s and early 2000s and all were the same. Take off, fly the waypoints and fire my missiles way past BVR (beyond visual range) and mission complete. Sure I may have 100 missiles, but being swarmed by 15-20 enemies at a time in Ace Combat 7 and trying to fight them off is way more exciting than anything I ever experienced on a "real" flight simulator game.
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #184: Dead Space 2 (March 1st, 2019) Difficulty: 8/10 Excitement Rating: 10/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 35 - 40 Hours Hardest Trophy: Hard to the Core (Complete the game on Hard Core setting) I think everybody reading this topic right now has heard about, played through or read horror stories for this game at least once. I myself have heard a great deal about this game back in 2011 when it first came out, but I never got around to playing it from start to finish. Dead Space 2 will always have a spot in my heart for it's Hard Core difficulty. Forcing you to only use three saves is what makes this game stand out above most others, as with most games the difficulty lies in having tougher enemies without the addition of anything else. You are Isaac Clarke, a former Engineer who destroyed the Marker and escaped the Ishimura ship during the events of Dead Space 1. Three years later, he finds himself on a space station with no recollection of what had happened in the last three years. He discovers there is another Marker that is causing all the chaos and destruction, and with his keen survival instincts, must find a way to seek safety and much needed shelter. Dead Space 2 plays in almost the exact same fashion as Dead Space 1. All of the familiar Necromorphs and other enemies such as Lurkers and Exploders return here for this sequel. The camera is in a third person perspective much like the Batman: Arkham games. Controls are the same, there are plenty of jump scares and unexpected encounters. Overall Dead Space 2 is a very solid survival horror experience set in space. While I don't think it's as scary as the first game was, Dead Space 2 doesn't fall short in the horror department. I did three playthroughs to prepare myself for Hard Core. The first two playthroughs were easy, as they were both a Casual playthrough, with the latter playthrough being New Game Plus to do cleanup. Zealot wasn't too bad because I had already upgraded everything I wanted and needed, and the Necromorphs posed little challenge as checkpoints were very generous. Hard Core, as pretty much everybody who has finished this game knows, is an entirely different ballgame. I didn't find any of the enemies overly tough or difficult. Most of the challenges this game throws at you didn't require any real degree of skill or finesse. What does make this game from start to finish challenging are the limited saves. You have three saves, and depending on where you save, they may come back to haunt you. This makes certain challenges like the falling section in Chapter 7 after you align the Solar Arrays, the grinders in Chapter 8, the long dark hallway in the Ishimura in Chapter 10, and the infamous Drill Ride in Chapter 12 that much more stressful. One big mistake on your part can send you back, sometimes as far as two hours or more depending on where you saved. Hard Core brings in a new level of stress and frustration that isn't there with the other difficulties. I died around 15 times total on Hard Core, with two particular deaths sending me back two hours each. I ended up starting from scratch all over again on Hard Core and I decided to save in Chapter 7. With a bit of perseverance and determination I was finally able to beat Hard Core after it had haunted me for a good three or four days. As everyone who played Hard Core knows, the feeling of getting that well earned trophy is overwhelming. The story I felt was rather decent, which makes me sad that the Dead Space series is no more, thanks to EA's meddling and Viscereal Games unable to come up with another Dead Space title after Dead Space 3. While that game still generates mixed feelings, Dead Space 1 and 2 will stand as two of some of the best survival horror games of all time. Dead Space 2 is probably one of my proudest platinums. Hard Core was a challenge, but I think those who can overcome that challenge can play a lot of different games. To me, that challenge was well worth the time and money spent. It is the big reason why Hard Core's trophy is on my cabinet. It was a rollercoaster ride, and it's still worth riding on several years later.
Popular Post DeathNyx
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS4) Platinum N°78: The Key to San Andreas Unlock all trophies (the use of cheats will disable all trophies). Game enjoyment: 7 - 7.5 Trophies enjoyment: 6 Trophies difficulty: 5 Comment: A great episode of the GTA series, yet my favorite is always been Vice City. Perhaps i'll get this for PC and try it out full power with mods in the future. Way easier compared to Vice City (trophies wise) Edited March 18, 2019 by DeathNyx
Popular Post Captain_Bone_666
#46 - Forgotten Anne Thank You For Playing! - You've been all around the Forgotten Lands. Thank you for your time! I started this wile playing Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, after which I started Call of Duty - Modern Warfare Remastered. And while CoD demanded almost my full attention I sometimes needed a break from the frustration of my veteran run (Yes, there is a glitch that you can use for that and no I did not want to use it). Forgotten Anne is an original story-driven game with platforming elements plus a bitter-sweet ending.Very enjoyable. (And now I also just need the damned "Best of the Best trophy" to get the CoD platinum ....)
